It's nice to be able to get back on here today. I could not log in at all yesterday. Thinking it was the website, cuz everything else with my computer was working..

Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend. We're just staying home and relaxing and I'm lovin it!! Thinking of getting the pool closed up this weekend. The weather has been so cool here and the nights are getting down in the 40's already. Can't see maintaining it anymore. Just seems a little early for the winter cover..

Taking my daughter shopping for a new ipod today, she finally earned enough money. Poor kids been having withdrawels after the last one quit working. They sure are awesome to have, but she's going on like her 4th one already. They just seem so disposable to me. It's a shame..

Will weigh in for the challenge tomarrow. Today is the last day of my first round of prednisone. It worked!! I have not had a headache for 4 nights now!!!!!!!!!!..

I wasn't able to get on the site yesterday , was glad to see you had a problem to I thought my computer was acting up again..I feel relieved. Although I can't seem to get team purple's logo on my signature can anyone advise me I am truly computer illiterate. Help.

Ann, I also love making the pizza's out of tomato soup..

, your crockpot recipe sounds delish, will try I love cooking in the crockpot..

, so glad to meet another person addicted to Food network, Everyone makes fun of me because I,m trying to lose lbs and I always watch food shows , but it doesn't bother me and I like it ....

NOW as for how I store my Medifast food.. I have a special cabinet in my laundry room just for my special little packets.

I travel to my mom's quite often because she is sick then I count out 5 packs put in ziplock bag and pile in a soft cooler duffle enough for the days I'm in Penna..

My Favorite L&G is shrimp and hot and sweet peppers , I've always been a spicy food eater but for some reason I can't get enough hot stuff on MF. I have a lot of fav L&G I also make a taco salad with turkey I love...

I just get amazed at how creative people are with the Medifast meals, I like the muffins for there portability but my best testing are the puddings made like ice cream OMG! they are delish..

And last...one thing about me I haven't shared as I said earlier I love hot and can't get enough so I must confess I shop for all kinds of hot sauce I need a closet just for my different hot sauces and I put them on everything my family thinks my stomachs going to burn out.

Sick or what lol........

Hi to all the purple peeps...have a great OP day.

Hugs, Barb..

Hi Kristie ~ Very Simple. I steam 7 oz of cauliflower in a pot. I fry up, in seperate pan, 6.5 oz of turkey, drain, then add 2 tsp taco seasoning & a little water, mix up. Then I measure out cauliflower into big bowl, 6.6 oz = 3 svgs, then reset scale, then weigh turkey, 5 oz, over cauliflower, then kinda mix together as I eat it...

Bhive you need to delete the two asterisks on the banner after you paste it then you apply it and it should work. try that out ok...

Marni- great weight loss you are rockin it girl.

Ann- I had trouble too yesterday, very frustrating huh?.

Well ladies, I hope you have a great day, I'm off to do a quick run(jog) with the DD, shes going to ride her scooter. my Ds is at his friends for the weekend, and the other DS broke his ankle the other day so hes not able to come this time, the poor kid. hes only 12.his firsy broken bone....

Hi Purple Peeps ~.

Kristie ~ Looks like you had fun shopping and I like your shades. Also nice pictures of you at your friends funeral. Hope things are going OK with your friend. Nice of you to be with her..

Ann ~ Glad to hear your headaches are all gone. Now you know what will help if they come back. UGH...Ipod trouble. Do you get the warranty for it? Good luck on the weigh in tomorrow...mine is tomorrow too. Let's Rock It!!.

Barb ~ I love Food Network also. I like backgound noise in the house...so if I'm not really watching anything I always flip it to Food Network. Do you watch the challenge shows on Bravo... Like Top Chef, The Next Food Network Start? Those shows are fun to watch..

Yvette ~ Have fun jogging with DD. Sorry about DS's ankle. That has got to be hard on him..

Today I'm still chugging away at the laundry...mostly ironing, washing sheets and still need to organize the kids school supplies..

Hope you are having a great Weekend!!.

Ann - Yeah for you... no headaches!!! The website was down for a while from what I understand..

Barb - Just copy, paste in to the signature area and remove the astericks ** That's how we can get the codes to stay without it turning into a banner for people to grab as needed. Some of the food shows have great ideas that can be applied to L&G so I don't think it's that weird. A lot of them cook fairly healthy too..

Cori - Thanks! Just thought I'd ask cause the taste could change a little depending on how it is cooked. I thought I would be silly and put on Alexis' (DD1) shades. I honestly hate those shades they are just annoying. Don't know how they where them as it is like looking through blinds. But it was good for a photo shot! LOL The funeral was nice and simple... just as Jack would want it.

He had actually died from heart attack 14 years ago but was revived. Since then had a massive stroke... completely recovered (no lingering affects visible). He was the man with 9 lives... but understood that each day was a blessing for him to be here.

He was shopping in Oak Grove Fred Meyer in Milwaukie Oregon and went into the bathroom and had the heart attack. A 19 year old worker came in behind him and discovered him having troubles and started CPR when his heart stopped and stopped breathing. The 19 year old had a horrible time with the fact that he couldn't help him better than he had... but all efforts were greatly appreciated from my friend, his wife. She told everyone she knew that when they went into Oak Grove Fred Meyer to tell the manager thank you for all they did.

The kids and I went and stayed with her after the funeral. She and Jack had barely moved into a new house that day before and didn't even have things moved into the house... most still sitting in the uHaul. So the kids and I helped her move some things around too..

I made sure she had some food in the house too before I left..

Yvette - Awww... (((hugs))) to the DS who has his first fracture! Have fun on your jog - don't overdo it!..

Wow... I had a wild evening..

I was surrounded by 2 cops and 2 cop cars!.

Ok.. here is the story. I went to walmart... to go get paint. I got all my shopping done and went back out to the van. I couldn't get the clicker to disarm the van alarm.

So I unlocked the door set off the alarm... got the spare clicker out. Tried to shut the alarm off with that one. Nope... still didn't work.

And start the van. Nope... still didn't work. So here I am... with three kids..

It shut off itself - cause after a while it just stops.. but if you move the van or do anything to it...it will start alarming again. I sent my DD1 back into the store to get a new battery for the clicker - thinking maybe putting a fresh battery in it would work. Nope... didn't work.

I texted friends asking them if they knew what to do... noone really even knew. I finally called the family support coordinator for the National Guard... thinking maybe she might have a connection that could help me. So she called her son - her son told her...

So she called me back and said the police are on their way to help. So, here come two cop cars... two cops to help me. They disconnected the battery from the van to disable the alarm... but had no clue what else to do.

I have another vehicle.. but the battery is dead in it. So, they had dispatch call around and see what they could find for a resource for us. I told them it wasn't a factory install that a stereo place installed it. So they called their contact for the stereo place.

But they called him. Luckily for me... he had been under a car all day working on a clutch system. He had a little drink - but the wife was willing to bring him in! They don't really have a person for emergency/on-call. So the guy came...

I have an autostart car alarm system - so it is much more involved than just disconnecting an alarm. Two hours later... I finally got to go home. I am sooo thankful for the stereo place's employee... he was a life saver! Now I have to take the van in on tuesday to get the alarm fixed..

Omg kristie, the same thing happened to me before. I got out of work at 12 at night( ans I never work the night shift it was a one time thing,)i tried to disarm with the button no, no, no. walked to the store for a new battery,no.didnt work. opened the door, there goes the alarm over and over and over.i started the car and it would shut right off. for two hours I did this. then a man came and pushed some button I never saw and it stopped the alarm,he cut the wires and every time I went into the car after that the alarm went off until I mickyed the wires together like a car thief. very annoying.....i know your pain.lol..

OMG Kristie- Your car alarm story sounds like something that would happen to me. I can just imagine 2 cops having to come. Glad you were finally able to take the vehicle home.I can just imagine my kids..........they probably would have went back in the store and left me out there by myself..

Looks like my weekend of not much to do has turned into staining for the day. I was thinking of closing the pool like I was saying yesterday, but realized now we'd better stain the deck first. Went and got everything yesterday so as soon as the morning dew dries I am off & staining..

Got my DD's new ipod yesterday. We went to Wal mart first and they only had black. She wanted a goldish one, so we went to an electronics store and much to my surprise they had all colors in stock and were $23 cheaper. I would have thought Wal mart would be the best deal. So happy with how that turned out..

Down 1.8 this week. I don't know why, but my current weight is not showing up on my ticker.But... I am down over 80 lbs now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..

Hi all, I'm back from camping. We had a great time even with all the rain. We had lots of canopies and tarps so we stayed nice and dry and we have a motor home so no wet tents for us..

I forgot my weight scales for early morning weigh in (usually 6 am) this morning so I had to wait until I got home at about noon. I went straight to the scales, stripped down and weighed. Even weighing later in the day I was down 1.4 lbs so I was happy with that. Actual 6 AM weight should show next week..

I also forgot to take my food scales so had to guess on all my portions but did not eat or drink anything off plan..

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I haven't had time to read all the posts yet and I need to get the motor home unpacked and start laundry. Hopefully I will be able to catch up later today...

The first day, all kids will be packed into the gym and they are going to take a picture of the whole bunch. Everyone will get a copy. For them to "walk" out the door, I've got to take DD to school and hope that DS makes it on his bike to the bus stop on time...1.25 miles away. (uphill going)..

When I told him my weight he said "welp, looks like you will have to wait till next week". I told him that I was going to weigh again in the morning and if I am at or below 160 the wii is mine..

Posts: 1,787 "BeccaBecca's Lemon Meringue Pie" with pictures.

My all time favorite is "Lemon Meringue Pie" and I've been trying for a while to come up with a Medifast version....and by golly, I think I've done it!.

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for and was absolutely DELICIOUS!.

Lemon Filling:.

1 Medifast Vanilla Pudding.

1-1/4 tsp Lemon SF Jell-0 powder (the kind you make Jello Gelatin out of, not pudding).

1/2 cup water (room temperature).

Whisk all ingredients well and leave on counter to become room temperature.

1 Medifast Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal.

1/2 cup water.

1 tsp Almond Extract.

1 tsp Walden Farms Pancake Syrup (may omit if you don't have, just use an extra tsp of water to moisten).

Mix packet of oatmeal with water and the almond extract. Cook in the microwave on high for approximately 2 minutes 45 seconds (if a high powered microwave). You want the consistency to be really think but not hard. When it is done, add 1 tsp of WF pancake syrup (if desired) and stir until well mixed. In an oven safe bowl sprayed with Pam, mash the oatmeal down to make the crust (use foil lined sprayed with Pam if you'd like). Pop in the oven under Broil until crust is set and lightly browned.

*Hint* When mashing the oatmeal down to make the crust, dip your fingers in water to keep your fingers from sticking to the oatmeal..

2 egg whites (room temperature).

2 packets Artificial Sweetener (of your choice).

With mixer, beat egg whites only at high speed until meringue starts to get thick. Add the artificial sweetener and continue to beat until peaks form. The meringue is now ready..

Pour the Lemon Filling into the Crust (may warm filling first in microwave to prevent "weeping" between the meringue and filling when completely done, but not necessary).

Add the meringue, making sure to take it to the very edge of the crust (completely cover the lemon filling as the meringue will "seal" the filling when you put in the oven).

Pop in the oven on Broil to let the "peaks" of meringue brown to desired consistency (don't let it burn).

When done, let cool for about 20 minutes, then pop in the refrigerator overnight or for several hours to allow the pie to "set up" (otherwise, if you don't let it "set up", when you try to remove it from the bowl, your filling will ooze out everywhere).

Once cooled, take out and ENJOY!.

I have attached pictures for the first pie directly below (they are the attachments). Hope they help.

I was too eager so I tried to take the pie out before it was cold and my filling oozed some, so I made another one and it is in the fridge as I type for tomorrow. I'll take a better picture of the "proper" one and post tomorrow.

This was definitely worth the effort!!!!.

Edit/Add to original post (the container):.

The oven/broiler safe container I used measures:.

At base: 4" x 4".

At top or lip: 5" x 5".

Depth: 1-1/2".

Your pie will be approximately 2-1/2 to 3" tall when you add the meringue. This pie is HUGE and very filling.

Thank you Yvette, Ann, Marni, Cori, and Lisa for the empathy!.

Yvette - Yeah it is quite a feeling of helplessness when you can't get into your own car and go. That's why I had a melt down. Eeekks..

Ann - We have a couple of ipods in the house but haven't gone through them like we have the MP3 players. So far... so good. Will keep the fingers crossed. I think it's safe to say that summer is done..

Laura - Hi!! You are doing awesome! Look at you! Can't wait to hear how school is going and how noone recognized you!!!.

Marni - Hawaiian falls? What is that? Sounds interesting..

Cori - Yeah... tonight the kids are getting all set for the first day of school... They are so ready to go back. They are tired of being with each other every day..

My DD1 is a freshman this year, DS is 3rd grade. DD2 turns 3 next sunday! WOW!.

Lisa - WOWSERS!!! What an awesome loss you had! 8.5 lbs!! WOOHOO!!!.

Donna - Glad to hear you had a great camping weekend! I'm at mom/dad's now... mom was telling me how dad told you how you were looking great! She said she had a hard time convincing you he noticed himself! AWESOME! Dad told me I was looking really good too. It's been several weeks since he saw me last. So, he asked me how much I was planning on losing yet. I think he was hinting he didn't think much more! LOL Mom says... "she wont even eat things with me that she used to..." and pointed to the pear apples.

"yep - those are not on-plan!" That is sooo awesome on your DH with the wii! I bet you get it tomorrow!!! LOL.

Janis - You did earn the two piece! WOOHOO! You are doing soooo good! 7 lbs this week! AWESOME!!! Thank you for the recipes. I'm going to have to cut/paste those someplace for later use!.

Good afternoon all! Having a busy day today. Getting ready for my first day of school tomorrow. Made a really good treat last night ~ 1MF Hot Cocoa, and 2tbsp of PB2 in one small dish mix Hot cocoa with 3tbsp of water, mix it well, in another small bowl mix PB2 with 1tbsp of water, and a packet of sugar substitute, mix that well. Then, in a seperate small dish or bowl, layer 1/2 the hot cocoa mixture, then the PB2 mixture goes on top of that, then add the rest of the Hot cocoa mixture on top of the PB2. Then put it in the freezer for 1 hour. Then enjoy! It tastes just like a reeces peanut butter cup! I found the recipe on the threads.

I will check in tomorrow after school! TTFN..

Luckily for him it is down hill on the way home and our neighbor will be driving their son and my son to the bus stop every morning..

Well ,September 12 will mark my 2 month Medifast anniversary. That is two months that I have improved my life a million %!!.

I bought a 2 month present today- blocks to go under my Wii Balance board to make the step higher. It is not much of a challenge anymore, so this will be a new challege for me!.

Thank you all for all the wonderful help these past two months!..

Vg 1961- I do have a lot of questions for you about your TT surgery. I will send you a PM when I have a little more time. Would love to hear all about it..

Yvette- The doc said 1 overnight in the hospital, come home with drainage tubes, will be removed in a couple of days. Plan a good 2-3 weeks till standing fully upright, most return to work between weeks 3-4. 6 months for all swelling to go down.It is alot I know, but I need to do this for myself..

Marni- Congrats on the 2 month anniversary!! You deserve to get your reward!!.

I sneaked a peak at the scale this morning and am only 3 lbs from goal.I am not changing my ticker till my official weigh in day Monday though. Like I said last week, that is scarey to me,hitting goal. I guess you hit goal and start Transition a week later? Is that what everybody else's understanding is? I know this is an exciting time, but am filled with tons of anxiety. Medifast has been so easy for me to follow. Been reading the Beck diet solution and intend to use the stratagies talked about in there. I hope I can keep posting here through T&M, I really enjoy this group.

People who haven't been through this just don't understand. I feel like I have to make this a complete journey. It cannot be complete with that" flap of crap" hanging there. Hope it's OK to say that..LOL.

I have not put up pics since 25 lbs ago. I am waiting till I hit goal for the finale pics. Then yes, I will post pre and post surgery pics...

Hi Ann ~ Congrats on only 3 lbs away....

Of course you can still come here. You are a Purple Peeps living in the Royal Castle. Just do what you are doing now...filling us in on your life, supporting us, have us supporting you. You will be one fantastic cheerleader!!! Re: transition, I'm not sure when you start. I've heard you may want to go below your goal weight to give a little cushion for the fluxability of your weight. Go over to the T&M thread and start reading up on what is going on over there.

And I'm sure our Queen Kristie can help you!!..

Hi Everyone,.

Marni congrats on your 2 months..

Ann that is awesome that you are only 3 pounds from goal..

Hey Cori, Kristie and everyon else..

So this is week 2 of being OP again. I am sooo Hungry. I forgot how hard week 2 is. Week one was easy I think because I really got my motivation back. But this week I am dying to eat something bad. I keep dreaming of Pizza.

I really need to stay focused and get to goal this time. I really wish I was someone who doesn't dream of food. Even after one year of MF, I still have that passion for all the things I know I shouldn't eat. And since I have a foot problem that requires no weight bearing cardio, I know I have to be careful about not eating. I just wish it was easier......

Good afternoon all!.

I haven't gotten to my trip report yet, but here are some pictures from the weekend..

The grapes are SO lush I wish we could have picked them. Of course that was a no-no, both diet wise and ethically! The picture of me under the tree is more the true color of my shirt (darn! my strap shows!) The other one was from inside the bus, and I tried to correct the picture for the super-bright background of the window...

Jackie, great pictures, Hope you had fun. After seeing your pics posted here I had to go check out your before pics on your page. Job well done. You look great..

I have been trying to post some before pics of me and some of my family on my page but keep getting an error or it says that the file is to big??? I don't know what is up and can't seem to find the time to mess with it. If someone knows of an easy way please let me know..

BTW, I am not a daily weigher but was so close to hitting my second mini goal of 160 and getting my Wii and EA Active that I have been weighing each morning. I was at 160.6 on Monday weigh in, .6 away. This morning I was at 159.2. I won't change tickers until Monday weigh in and hope I didn't jinx myself, I just couldn't wait any longer and I was so close on Monday. ~~~I HAVE MY WII AND EA ACTIVE~~~ Yeah!! I stopped this morning on my way to work and bought it. It is in my car, driving me nuts!! I can't wait to get off work and get home to try it out...

Lisa- You are getting soo close to goal. Don't ever give up. Fight for what's important to you. Have you read the beck diet solution? It really helps with the"mind" aspect of losing and keeping weight off. Update on me!.

I got the van's alarm fixed. Some how the remotes signal was dropped from the box. So it was like I didn't have a key for the wave length. The guy at the stereo store reprogrammed them and then looked up how to turn my alarm off in the event that it were to happen again! So, now I know how to disable the alarm with a button so that I can drive with it not working! I'm sooo excited! The guy at "stereo to go" who came to help me on Sunday evening (night before labor day) never charged me for the "service call" and was sooo kind. I paid for two new alarm keys and he programmed them for 25.00 + key fee of 45 each. I went and got him and his wife a gift certificate for dinner at a local "pub".

LOL I couldn't remember his last name or her name. And said "enjoy". He got a great big smile and said "thanks". He just couldn't imagine how thankful I was that he took time out of his holiday weekend to help someone he didn't know... me...

Anyways - that's my mushy for the day!!!.

My hands are freezing, my feet are freezing, and it's 12:52 in the morning here....

All you gals who are soo good at just weighing and posting once a week..

I can't stay off my scale! I weigh enough to drive a person crazy. I'll never forget the day I found every scale at work to weigh on to see what my "true" weight was cause I didn't believe my scale! People at work thought I was crazy! I'm on my scale every morning and night and everytime I use the bathroom at home during the day. Yeah... I think that is my obcession. Probably not a healthy one... but never the less...

By the way... I am able to start stealing my daughter's clothes now!!! She thought she needed 11's for pants (I think she needed 9's)... but she was complaining they were too big 1/2 way through her day (cause they were stretch) and I told her to take them off and give them here... cause they are my size and I can wear them then! LOL She told me NO!!! She said "I have a belt" "you aren't getting these". She really liked the style and color of them. Funny thing was I said "you can give the pair you had on yesterday to Rose... she liked them and she can fit into them now too!" My friend Rose is on-plan and has lost enough to fit into them too! She didn't like that idea either!..

Kristie- I am so glad to hear you got your alarm system fixed. I hate it when things don't work like they should. It is awesome that you can share clothes with your daughter, it works great for both of you, double the wardrobe!!.

Oh boy, we got an estimate from the guy whose truck our friend hit. $2200. The guys insurance co sent the letter out to us and our friend. I am not sure which of us is really responsible. My inclination is we should split ther cost. Us as the vehicle owner, and him as the driver.

If our name and credit is associated with it I'd rather just pay it and put this behind us. The guy is entitled to have his truck fixed after all. Boy waht a huge mistake to take that car out with out insurance. Like I said we had just aquired it and I had all the insurance paper work filled out and ready to go, just hadn't sent it yet. Than it was a quick last minute decision for our friend to drive it to that car show that day.

I guess if this mistake only costs us $2200 we should count our blessings and move on...

Morning everyone,.

Thanks for all the inspiration yesterday. I did manage to stay OP yesterday even going out to dinner! I got grilled salmon, asparagas and a field green salad with balsamic dressing on the side so I could measure out how much to put on the salad..

I have to keep remembering that I can be social and still stay OP. Making the right choices when you go out is key. I try to pick the restaurant so that I know there is something on the menu that I can eat. There is nothing worse than looking at a menu with no good choices...

Good morning Purple Peeps! Thanks everyone for your comments on my pictures. I still have a bad self-image. I know the size I wear now is normal size, but I still see myself as really big. Im sure it will take time for that to go away..

~ How do you make spice muffins? Is it the usual muffin recipe? Can you share please? I still love the oatmeal and waffles I make from it, but I think it's time for a bit of a change. Yes, just a couple of weeks to vacation. Im off starting on the 24th and flying on the 25th. CANT WAIT!! I think I need to go shopping for some clothes; hit a few thrift or consignment shops. I tried on some shirts this morning, and put 4 more into the TOO BIG pile! Im happy about that, but I dont have much to wear to work now!.

~ Congratulations on being able to get your tummy tuck! January will be here before you know it. Wow! I didnt realize it takes about 6 months for all the swelling to go down. And it sounds like you are allowed to go back to work pretty early. I think Id want to have 6 weeks to recover! Gee, I guess you are lucky about the truck repairs at only $2200. I hope your friend has medical coverage for himself, because it might be WAY more to fix him than the truck. Good luck with that! Good idea about Beck book and T&M.

~ Hmmm, just wondering where the OTHER Lisa went (Charmed Right). Anyway, you had a.

Loss for your first week back OP. Youll do just fine for your 2nd week it's a "been there, done that" situation! Sorry to hear you cant do much cardio and I hope your foot heals up soon. What happened? How about swimming? Would that be okay? Of course, it's getting to the time of year when it's just too cold for that, even if you go in a heated pool. Can you do just upper body exercises while sitting? I agree with your post from earlier today it's all about making good choices. The salmon & asparagus sounds YUMMY! I went out for dinner once with some friends to a Mexican restaurant. I stayed OP, but it cost me a FORTUNE compared to everyone elses dinner! I had a chicken breast and a salad; brought my own dressing with me.

I definitely held my head up high that night!! LOL.

~ To fix your pictures, you will need to use a program like Microsoft Photo Editor or one that might have come with the camera. I have a Canon camera, and it came with software to download and edit the pictures. I believe the task youll need to look for is resize canvas or something similar to it. The pictures I posted yesterday were taken down to about 45-50 kb and they worked fine. I think some of the team uses PhotoBucket.com but I havent tried it..

On getting to the 150s..

I made it there this morning (159.6 lbs.) and I also do.

Want to jinx it by changing my ticker..

My normal WI day is Sunday, so it will just have to wait until then! And Im jealous of all the Purple Peeps with Wiis. Marni good idea about raising the platform up! Just no budget for it right now. I have a good treadmill that I havent been using, so I better get on that instead! I have a TV / DVD player set up right in front of it, so there is no excuse!.

Barb, Yvette & Janis!.

Have a great OP day!.

~ Yes, we are about the same size, but Im definitely MUCH smaller in the boob department! Im down to a B now. BTW what is an EA Active? Is it part of the Wii? Yes, you ARE obsessed with the scale!.

Time to cut back on it!! Im LOL @ what Alexis said about her pants. And thank goodness your van had an easy fix!.

For the east coasters. Any ideas on how the weather will be the last week of September / beginning of October? Im thinking I need to bring both long pants and capris, an umbrella in case of rain, and a warm jacket for evenings! Will probably bring more clothes than I need but I want to be a good Girl Scout Be Prepared!.

Wow Laura that is impressive. You have come a long way and look so fabulous!.

Jackie - New England at the end of Sept early Oct is a crap shoot. It could be anywhere from 50s to 80s. Kind of like San Fran. If we get Indian Summer it could be warm. Just bring some layers. By the way, where are you going?.

As for my foot, I have plantar fasciitis and I had ESWT(Shock Wave Therapy) done last week. The therapy is supposed to re-injure the heel of my foot so that it goes from being a chronic problem to being acute. The hope is that by shocking the heel, the foot tries to reheal it self and starts sending more blood flow to the problem area. I will know in a few months if it works. It is a slow process because the foot takes so long to heal..

For exercise, I can swim and do upper body workouts. I just need to motivate myself to get to the gym. I am an old runner and hate to have to go to the gym to get my workout in. But I will get there. I just figured I would take it easy for the first couple of weeks while my foot is still in pain...

Hi again Lisa!.

I'm going with my DS & BIL to visit Washington, DC, Mt. Vernon & Colonial Williamsburg. Since the timeshare in DC never becomes available, I had to pick something else. One of the tech guys at RCI (the timeshare exchange people) said he had stayed at Massanutten in McGaheysville, VA, so I took him at his word. I can't WAIT!!! I know the commute from VA to DC will take us a couple of hours - one in the car and one on the Metro. But it's still cheaper than getting two hotel rooms for the three of us.

I'm still in the "I'm COLD" stage of my Medifast journey. It is probably 100 degrees outside today, but with the A/C on at work, I have long jeans, heavier sox than normal, plus a sweater. It's 73.2 degrees on my little digital thermometer on my desk, I'm drinking hot tea, and I'm comfortable. Once I go outside, I'll wish I'd changed into my workout clothes! Good thing the A/C works in my car!.

Sorry about your foot. I know that is very painful..

Hoping it heals quickly from the treatment you had. And have a good time in the gym too!..

Ann - Thanks. I sure hope things work out for you... and I guess 2200 is a lot less than it could have been..

Lisa - YEAH LISA! I knew you could do it! Sounds yummy too!.

Marni - Please do share on the step... sounds like what I need..

Cori - I bet you don't have to use the commercially built increase in height for the wii board..

Janis - Hope your day is less stressful on friday! Remember... the weekend is a day away!.

Yvette - We will need to up our waters. I'm thinking we ought to do what someone suggested earlier and report what is above our norm... just for a change. Some of us it is easy to drink so much... but beyond our regular would be more of a push. Give you gals that are having a harder time to get it down more of a chance..

Jackie - See... we definitely have a lot of repair work emotionally on how we all see ourselves now. I see you smaller than me..

You look terrific! It will come with time I hope. Oh - and I've been known to take my scale on trips with me and weigh that often on trips too! LOL I'll leave the scale at home this weekend though! (But not until I had one more time to step on it) Actually... I'm thinking of the outdoor challenge... but the EA Active I heard is good too. Not tried that one. Donna will have to report!.

Laura - WOW.... all I can say is WOW! You are looking just as fantastic as Jackie!!! WOW!!! What a change! So how did school go? I remember when you started... and all the struggles... and look at you now! You have done sooo well! Be very proud of yourself! Your purple teammates are very proud!.

Donna - Get to work! LOL Just thought I'd plug that in for mom!.

Marni - LOL Yeah - I thought something similar when I was told how skinny I was at 200... I thought... what are they thinking! LOL But it's a compliment and it is way more of a shock later to everyone. I swear when I look in the mirror I see 220... yet everyone else sees 120 (or at least that's what they let on). But soak it up...

Bhive - How are you doing? Nice to see you posting!.

Well, team... I'm going to be at a leadership camp with a bunch of teenage girls this weekend. I will start a new thread and a weigh in thread on Friday afternoon/evening. Don't weigh in until Sunday or monday... but this way the threads will be up and running on time. Please, everyone post prior to the end of the evening on monday.

So, anyone want to lay bets if I do the zipline or the rock climbing wall this weekend? I am afraid of heights... but want to do something crazy and fun to shock the girls. I think I can physically handle both now... just don't know about the heights issue. Hoping for a fun time with the kids. Then my youngest's birthday is Sunday...

So we get back, go to a picnic with National Guard family support and then head off for a birthday party for Jillian..

Ok. WATER WAR FRIDAY!!!! Lets do it the way someone suggested. Post what you have consumed above your normal intake. Lets post this way.....

Post when you have your normal intake in. Then start posting number of ounces above it..

Ie normal intake is 192 ounces. You have 208 ounces in. You post 16 ounces..

Lets see how that goes! Have fun and drink, drink, drink.....

Remember OPOWOE!.

(on plan, on water, on exercise!)..

I started visiting the T&M boards yesterday, the threads move really fast on there and I am finding it hard to keep up on. I did learn something though. In the transition guide it says to start adding in all your favorite veggies again the 1st week. I asked does that mean all the veggies that have been off limits thus far. I was surprised to hear that corn is considered a starch and not a veggie during transition. Now I am wondering about peas too. I wish the transition guide was a little more detailed...

Happy Friday!!.

I am so glad it is Friday. It has been a long week at work even though I had Monday off..

I have a big meeting at the end of the month that I have to get dressed in a suit for so I went shopping last night. I found out that I can't buy a suit right now. I am in a 12 up top and 10 on the bottom. This stinks because you know buying separates is always way more expensive. I decided I will hold off a couple of weeks and hope that I drop a little more. Not sure if that will happen because I still have a size D chest even after loosing 70 pounds! Oh Well..

The shopping experience was interesting though. I hadn't really tried anything new on since the spring. I find it funny that when I tried on clothes in the spring, I thought I looked great. Now I think I look fat. It is amazing how after getting used to my new size, I think I am really big again. When I started this journey I said I will be happy to just wear regular sizes again like a 14.

Funny how our minds work. I have to learn to like my body even though it is not perfect. The reality is, I will never have a super model figure. I need to just accept that I am at a healthy weight and be happy! I hope after I get this last 20 pounds off that I can really adjust my mind. I have to go back and re read the Beck book!..
