I've been a little out the loop last couple of days... been busy... then today I had a headache. Wasn't sure if I was going to be able to take the two younger kids trick or treating... but I got to. Just got the new threads up and running....

Cori - WOW... where did the hummingbird go to!?! LOL It's finally you! I do my "bowl down for cancer tournament" to determine if I get to go to the state one.... tomorrow. Wish me luck! I don't remember it being this time of the year last time... but I guess it was..

Lisa (charmed) - Glad to hear you are feeling a little better. Another one of my friends had same feeling as you... she and her two kids had the nasty influenza bugs. I ate oatmeal for my first meal too... I thought I'd never get it down. I took mine on the go.

I was determined too! I since have found that adding hotwater and then a little splenda makes a very big difference to the positive..

Donna - Awesome NSV! I love it when the Drs are shocked at the drop in weight!.

Alexa - We'll be looking forward to your pic too! I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised with your weighin!.

Denise - Hope you are having a great OP weekend too! It is amazing how much easier it becomes to drink the water!.

Chrissy - Yep... people you don't see often will notice the weight loss more than those you see day in and day out. Kind of the same thing as you seeing the weight los in yourself. That's why making sure you have photos to compare... will help you see your own weight loss..

Christy - Hope you are feeling better!.

Lisa (Irish) - ZOOOOMMMM I think I saw you ran by... it was kind of a delayed reaction on my part though! Happy Halloween weekend!.

Barb - Hope you had a great Halloween and hope you didn't eat the little weenies who showed up! Remember to stay on plan.... LOL.

Molly - I think the new foods... pretzels and puffs were the best thing Medifast could do. Such a great grab and go item that is different from all their other foods. I love it! Glad to see you around... even though you are running busy! WTG on the 3+ lbs loss this week!.

Sandy - Hope everyone in your house feels better soon. There sure is a lot of influenza bugs floating around Oregon lately!.

Marni - I like the chicken noodle best I think. I haven't tried them all yet though. And here is a pic of me in my costume. The kids and I have halloween pics posted on facebook... everyone be sure to check them out!.

Donna took these of me:..

Great pics! You look awesome! Thanks for sharing..

I was totally OP yesterday but for some reason gained .7 lbs overnight. I am trying not to get discouraged. I am going to make sure I get out and walk today and hopefully that will kick things up. I shouldn't weigh myself everyday but that my newest addiction. I kept moving the scale to see if I could find a spot that would make that number go down, but no luck..

Hope you all had a great Halloween!..

Morning Purple Peeps ~.

I was hoping to sleep in a bit this morning...but with the time change and I have to go pick up GS nuts at 9:45a...I couldn't fall back asleep once I woke up. DD & DS both slept over at a friends house last night...I've got to get DD before picking up nuts..

Molly ~ Don't stress the .7 gained. Aunt Rosie came to visit yesterday and the scale's not liking me this morning. I will be drinking tons of water today....

Kristie ~ Great pictures...Your looking Awesome!!!.

Have a Wonderful Sunday!!!.

Kristie: great photos, what fun is halloween!!.

My parents were to strict and never allowed us to do any of that stuff as kids, so now as an adult I love really being a kid again for all these kind of occasions :-) Minus the candy now of course...hee,hee..

I lost five lbs for my first weigh-in...yippee. I have to admit though, I'm a little disappointed...I thought it was going to be a bigger number. But I am on my way, will just keep on going...

Hi all!.

I had a FANTASTIC Halloween. I took my kids trick or treating in a place that looks like the movies with groves of kids running back and forth in the streets and all the houses lit up and decorated for Halloween. We go every year and it's always magical. But, this year I didn't even take a taste of any candy and was totally happy and satisfied with enjoying the experience without the sugar! I snacked on chili cheese puffs as we walked and I got a heck of a workout from directing my newfy around (if you can imagine convincing a 120# dog not to go somewhere) and then from carrying my 15# pom for about a mile because he was too pooped to continue walking! LOL.

Well, it was a great night and I'm proud of not being tempted. I think I'm ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas too. It's all about enjoying the people and the energy around you and not the food... wow! I've reached an epiphany!.

Hello All,.

I enjoy the crab soup, this is what I do to make it a little bit better for me:.

* Add 8oz of cold water, hot sauce, Mrs Dash and a little ground pepper; let it sit for about 30 min to 1 hr, add some shrimp to it and microwave it for 3 min..

My DH loves this soup ~ and it's something that we can enjoy together while I'm on plan..

Congrats to the losers this week ~ awesome job!!.

Hello Friends,.

I am still here and on program too! This weekend was difficult as I anticipate this coming week. I am going on a Scrapbooking Retreat with a group of my friends (we do this two times a year) and it normally is a big FOOD FEST where we pig out all week. I called the place where we were going and they are preparing me food that will be On Plan and I am packing my food too. I already told my friends, I will only join them for the dinner meeting so I am NOT tempted by all of the meals and desserts. (there is normally quite the spread) I look forward to getting away from home but NOT the constant temptation of cookies, desserts and junk food. ACK.

Hope you all have a great day!..

Favorite soup... well it isn't quite a soup, but I like the beef stew. I mix with cold water and let it sit for 30 min to a couple of hours in the fridge then heat it up and add a bunch of salt and Yummy. I'm looking forward to trying more soups, but after trying the chili, I'm a bit scared... not sure there is anything that can help the chili....

I'm on my way to another on plan day! Life is going good!..

Good Morning Purples!!!.

I love all the soups and the most important part for me is soaking, soaking, and then some more soaking. I will actually put all my soups for the day in shaker jars in the morning and let them soak all day. My favorite is the chili, soak most of the day if you can, add a wedge of Laughing cow cheese and alot of your favorite hot sauce and some garlic..

I'm off to drink water and then I think I'll have a bit more water and then I think I will chase all that water withhhhh....WATER!!!..

Hi everyone! Just a quick fly by I'm at work, of course! My losses are slowly getting there. I'm .8 lbs from the 140's now!.

Marni, I like most of the soups. The chicken & wild rice is very bland to me, so I add 1/2 packet of low sodium chicken boullion. I also add a little of my lean to help keep me from getting so hungry on my commute home. Today I added 1 oz. cooked chicken breast. If I'd thought about it I would have added a couple of chopped fresh mushrooms.

At least it doesn't boil over after it's been soaking that long..

Well, I have other ways to doctor up the soups - but my email just pinged me and I've gotta get back to it..

Talk to you all soon!..

I feel your pain! I would love to join you I need to scrapbook so badly, and we could Medifast together!!!.

My favorite quote is "Plan what you eat and eat what you plan". Go very prepared! DO a lot of self talk. Praise yourself when you eat OP. Make your food look like the others. Make Eggs with some salsa and a few veggies for breakfast, Take some low sodium chicken broth for snacks or to add to your Soup to make it BIG bowl full then you eat as long as they do! Use meal time to get a walk in. I know when I scrapbook too long my head gets mushy and I run out of ideas.

Divide your L&G..

Did I ramble too much!.

Good luck and I can't wait to hear how many pages you did!..

Hi purps. I am back from my spooky sleepover with my grandson. We had a great time. I even got some Christmas shopping in and lunch with DD1..

Looks like we had some good losses for our first challenge weigh in. Those who struggled can pick it up this week. I had a 0 loss last week (after being 100% OP) and I am down 3.8 lbs this week so you just never know..

Marni, I like all of the soup. I also soak all except the cream of soups. I like to put a wedge of LC in the Chili. I like hot sauce in all but don't always use it but a little Mrs Dash Table Blend or some salt in all is a must..

Christine, I love the chili nacho puffs. I am very fond of the HM and I like the cinnamon pretzels. I don't care much for the parm puffs but have split them and had 1/2 in my tomato soup for lunch and 1/2 in my salad for L&G, kinda like croutons..

Welp, better get back to work...

I bought 3 boxes of each new thing... so I better love them! one of my favorite desserts is a TBls.. of fat free cream cheese..

Mix it up and dip the cinnamon pretzels in it... it also takes a bit of time to eat!.

Hope everyone is having a great on plan day.. I'm having my cappuccino and coffee drink at the moment.. sooo good....

I agree with Marni... plan.. plan... plan... plan... it's so easy to go off plan when your meals are not thought out! your weekend sounds sooo fun! I did scrapbooking once..

COS Bread.

1 COS (broccoli or chicken).

1/2 cup of egg whites (in carton) or 3 egg whites.

1 T ground Flax seed.

1/4 t onion powder.

1/4 t garlic powder.

1/4 baking powder.

~ 1/3 c water ~ I make it runny.

I have a Magic Bullet. I put it in the small cup and mix. Pour into pan (9x11 w/ 1 inch lip) with tin foil and Pam spray. I like to sprinkle a little Mrs. Dash and poppy seeds on top. Bake at 425 for about 5 min.

Return to oven for a little more cooking. Take out when getting browned on top. Take a spatula and scrape around edges and underneath, then flip over and cook till browned. Take out and spread FF cream cheese on top, about 1T, flip in half and slice with a pizza cutter..

Oatmeal Bread.

1 Oatmeal.

1/2 c of egg whites (carton) or 3 egg whites.

1 T ground flax seed.

1/4 t baking powder.

Sprinkle of salt & cinnamon.

~ 1/3 c water~ make it runny.

I bake the same way as the bread. I top with poppy seeds. and cinnamon. When done, I smear with cream cheese (sometimes ff strawberry flavor) and fold over. I spray with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and I found flavored French Vanilla Splenda (in the coffee section at the store) and I sprinkle a packet on top and slice w/ pizza cutter..

Pizza Bread.

1 COT.

1 T ground flax seed.

1/2 c egg whites (carton) or 3 egg whites.

1 T dried spaghetti sauce (out of package).

1/4 t baking powder.

~ 1/3 c water ~ make it runny.

Pour into pan and sprinkle w/ Mrs. Dash and poppy seeds, bake the same as the other..

When done, spread 2T of Walden Farms Bruchetta Sauce. (The first time I got the sauce it was a little chunky, so I poured it into my Magic Bullet and gave it a few pulses to make it smoother.) I then take a Low Fat String Cheese and cut into slices and place it on half of the bread. Put back into toaster oven and broil till cheese is melted. Take out, fold in half and cut into slices..

With the bread, especially the pizza one, I like to get the edges crispy..

(I don't do the Bruchetta Sauce some of the time...just the cheese.).

1 Medifast Chili.

1 3/4 c water.

1T dried onions.

1T Vinegar.

1T Worcestershire Sauce.

1t Better than Bouillon (I always use chicken, but there is a beef one...or you can use a cube).

1/2 T Chili Powder (I like mine a bit spicy).

1/4 t Cumin Powder.

1/2 c canned diced tomato or one fresh diced.

Mix together in pot on stove and simmer low for about an hour, stir occasionally. The water will slowly boil down and watch it at the end, it will become somewhat thick. I sometimes will turn it off while still somewhat soupy and cover for a while then turn back on till a slow boil. I sometimes like it thick and sometimes more like soup..

Remember to add the extra's to your L & condiments. When I have one of these...I am strict w/ my other meals....

Enjoy .....

I weighed in and did not have a loss this week, but I am not discouraged because I was anticipating this - I figure 20.5 pounds is still great in 5 weeks! On top of that, my clothes are fitting looser, so I feel I am shrinking in inches..

1 pk COT.

1/2 tsp.baking powder.

Dash of italian spices, dash of garlic powder, dash of onion powder.

Dash of grated parmesan cheese(optional).

Water to reach consistency of pizza dough ( about 3T.).

Mix all together and spread on pam-sprayed cookie sheet to form a round about the size of a frozen mini-pizza. (Wet fingers and pat down ..Bake about 12 min at 350 degrees - turning midway through to ensure good browing on both sides. I then take out spread salsa over top and sprinkle 1oz. fat free shredded mozzarella cheese (deducted from lean allowance for the day of course) put back in oven for cheese to melt.. enjoy !! this will really cure your craving for pizza..

Question still remained with or without a parachute. (of course I'm not serious - but in the mood I was in... let me say was just less than desireable). Lexi was able to help me talk through my emotions and anger... it helped.

And was pretty quiet to the point that people knew there was something not right with me. But doing way better this eve. Still angry - but not letting it overly consume me...

I do the yo-yo thing on the scale... but as long as the trend is down.... you should be proud of your accomplishment! It will bounce up a little then go down more... and yes... inches disappearing is way better than scale movement!..

Thanks Marni! Started wondering if an antidepressant is in my future... might be if I have continue to deal with things beyond my control that are getting me down. At least I have others in the same boat as me... to help me through it...

Yeah... Dad heard some choice words out my "fingers" as I skyped him the other day. Don't know if I shocked him... I know he felt my frustration and anger. I know John did... cause I told him what was going on too.

And my mood got pushed over the edge. I can take a lot... but this was beyond my ability to handle well... although I certainly tried. I'm a lot like my dad...

But then I break (and then... watch out!). But, like I said... I'm coping better. I'm looking forward to a luncheon date that I was invited to in the near future!..

Happy Thursday everybody!.

Kristie, I hope things get better. I hate it when emotions get the best of you. Even though you are a strong person, sometime the emotions win! I had a horrible battle with post partum depression and was shocked when I came back from it (with meds) how bad it was. Take care of yourself! You have so much going on and take care of everyone else, take the time to take care of yourself! You're worth it!..

Talking about sickness reminded me of a new "You know you're on medifast"....

You know you're on Medifast if you try and find out how many carbs are in your flu medication before you take it!.

I cannot find out how many carbs and calories were in the meds my hubby gave me last night, so I'm not sure if I'm out of ketosis or not. Very frustrating. I have heard before that nyquil and some of the other liquid medicines have alot of carbs. So if anyone hears how much is in Tylenol multicold warming liquid, let me know. Thanks!.

Oh, and I realize how anal retentive I sound, can't help it!..

Kristi, I am so sorry for all that is going on. SUCKS!! Glad you have Lexi there for you. She really is such a good girl. Stay strong. LOL on the choice words out of the fingers. I could just picture your dad dodging the lightning bolts..

OK on a brighter note, I saw your moms email this morning. HEHEHEHE!!!.

Cori, sorry DD is sick. There are a lot of different BUGS going around..

Good morning Sandy. Hope you get over whatever it is that you have. Everyone around me has been sick with something or another, so far I have avoided it. Now my boss seems to have something going on again. Hoping it is just something he ate, I dont want to get sick...

Hello everyone!.

Im back for round three with MF. For those of you that dont already know me, I'm crystal... been a part of team purple for over 8 months... with a little break from plan. surprisingly I did rather well considering my days and nights were full of JUNK food! I didnt gain much, a lb or two... so not to bad.

Lots going on here... my partner, aileen has surgery tomorrow for a breast mass, her mother had breast cancer at 28, I'm going to pack a cooler with my Medifast stuff and stay with her... we have to go to interventional radiology at 10am and then surgery at 420pm, ugh!!! a LONG day!!! thankfully it's at the hospital I work in so I will visit everyone. lol..

My youngest child shaun and I got the H1N1 vaccine today... waited in line forever, it's amazing to see the turn outs! I'm really glad it's done now, this swine flu is scary, so many young ones getting pretty darn sick from it. in our ICU we have about 8 people all under 30 on ventilators from swine flu related pneumonia..

Well anyway, catch up more later! have a great day everyone!..

Good Evening Purple Pals!!!.

Well, the past two weeks the swine flu has passed onto every member of this household. I am happy to report that for the first time since this challenge began that I actually feel back to normal. First, my oldest son came home from school with what ended up being the swine flu, then I contracted, and then onto DS2 and DH!!!! I started every day OP but because I eat 1/2 of my L&G for lunch, I wasn't able to eat so I fell off plan. Since I finally felt like doing something today, I prepared all my Medifast meals for tomorrow and am ready to hit this plan hard and be in Ketosis by Monday!!!!!!!.

Hip Hip Hooray for being free from the swine flu..

{Kristy} I hope everything gets better for you soon. Stay strong!!!!.

Best wishes to everyone else. Have a great evening...

Hi All. Just a quick stop in as I am just getting ready to head out to parent teacher conferences..

Thanks for all your kind words on my little weight loss. Every pound is a step closer to goal, and I guess it makes me realize fluctuation is normal... Another reason why I should NOT step on the scale every single morning like I do!.

Sounds like everyone has been sick! I hope you are all feeling better!.

Welcome back, Crystal..

And finally, I am mad at myself because as of 4:30 today, I had eaten all my food for the day! I don't know what I was thinking, but I was just hungry and kept on munching. Had a soup, bar, and puffs all in one sitting... Ugh. Seems like gluttony..

Hoping to stay busy enough tonight so I don't get hungry!.

I'll talk to you all tomorrow! Have a happy Thursday night...

Guess What, Guess What!! GUESS WHAT!!!! I hit the 100# lost mark today. Yeah... Donna peeked and saw this morning from the email to my mom..

So for my 100# mark I snuck onto the "Jump for fun" at a little joint here called "OutDoorIn" and jumped!!! My friend was going to go in with me... but she chickened out and she and Lexi were on lookout! LOL Noone over 8 is to be on the play equipment! ROFLMAO! Lexi of course captured some of it on her phone video. LOL.

We took the 2 little ones (my DD and my friends DD who are 6 months apart from one another), my DS who is 8... and my DD who is 14 and snuck onto it later too. LOL.

Crystal - Nice to see ya back here..

Christy - glad to here you are all getting to feel better..

Wow Kristie! You must feel fantastic! What a huge accomplishment... That is almost like losing a whole little person! What determination! So, I am out of the loop, once again.... if you explained before, can you explain again for the new folks the whole mom/Donna connection? Is your mom on Medifast too? And who is Donna?.

I am leaving for the Wisconsin Dells today with my kids. Do I really have to get in a swimsuit in public? Ugh..

I am planning on packing up my Medifast food so I am all ready to stay OP while I am there. Hope you all have a good weekend. I'll check in Sunday...

Morning Purple Peeps ~.

I'm not liking what Medifast has done. I am not one to edit or delete. The only thing I will edit is a typo or if I would word something funny. Or if I forget to put my purple color up...like I did a couple posts back and couldn't go back to add it. I think this is going to bring out a doosey of problems with people and new people who don't know there is not that option any more. I've seen some people post something...just venting...then deleting it...

So be careful what you write. It is like a tube of toothpaste...once it's out...you can't put it back in....

Any way...I Am In and I Am Worth It!!!.

DD woke up without a temp this morning, so I did send her off to school. Told her if she doesn't feel good to call me..

Well off to water the backyard and get breakfast...then a lot of ironing....

Have a wonderful Friday !!!.

I copied this post from my other post and I was going to edit it for here...didn't work...so warning...be careful what you write.....

You made it to 100 lbs. gone forever! You're catching up to me now weight-wise. I haven't weighed for a week - will have to check it tomorrow morning. No, I haven't even had time to LURK!! I'm so very busy at work that when I get home, I don't even want to LOOK at my computer. I will try to catch up this weekend on some of the posts. I have two new pair of pants to hem and I really want to wear them, so that will take precedence.

I haven't even been able to go to Curves, because my commute is too late. I'm going to look into the gym that is in one of the other buildings in our complex. I hope I can get out of the Curves contract.

Well back to work - what else?! At least it's FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY!!!!..
