Sizzlin' Summer Slimdown Challenge!.

Looking for a challenge team to join?.

We are looking for new members to join us for the upcoming Sexy Summer Slimdown challenge. It starts July 5th and runs through August 16th. Joining a team for the challenge is a great way to make new friends, get support, and have fun all while heading toward our shared goal of weight loss!.

How do you join the Shrinky Dinks Team?.

Just simply add your name to the team roster below by copying and pasting it into a new post. Then post your starting weight ASAP to join the team!.

What does the challenge involve?.

The challenge is simple. Keep working your program daily by staying on plan, drinking your water, and exercising according to plan guidelines. You weigh-in weekly and points are counted for the team based on your participation..

Challenge Rules:.

Minimum number of team members = 8; Maximum number of team members = UNLIMITED!.

Actual Loss/Gain will be reported each week, per individual.

Points will be reported for consuming at least 64oz of water per day - max 7 points per week, per individual..

Points will be reported for exercise each day, max 5 points per week, per individual..

Scores will be calculated on a percentage basis -.

For the Loss/Gain it is the amount lost relative to the previous week weightgains DO count.

For Water it is the points (0-7) reported relative to the maximum points allowed (7).

For Exercise it is the points (0-5) reported relative to the maximum points allowed (5).

Official weigh days are either Sunday or Monday of each week..

Team participants MUST report their stats (Loss/Gain), Water & Exercise) to their captain.

No later than Monday at 11:59pm EST. (Midnight Eastern Time).

Team Members may have one (1) absence..

The member is NOT counted during the week of their miss to calculate percentages..

Upon their 2nd absence, they are dropped and will NOT be counted in future weeks..

They WILL be included in the final OVERALL results..

If a team member does not check in by the weigh day deadline (Monday 11:59pm EST).

& already has 1 absence, they will be dropped..

Um, yes....what I wouldn't do for a cc cookie. I made them for my son for his bday and didn't snitch one......so, this means that you can do it too, Stephanie! I just took a huge sniff of the dough and went on my way. I keep telling myself that I CAN have a cookie again. I just shouldn't have one right now. My day will come! All of ours willin moderation! Good morning guys! So it looks like our team will be small but mighty. For those of you who don't know - Curt is Misty's hubby who is also on plan. He's joining us for the challenge so we have enough team members. How nice of him!.

I'm guessing some of our previous members have a busy summer. Maybe they'll rejoin us for the next challenge. For this challenge, the same rules and scoring will apply. For the next one, the scoring will change to a different format. We'll talk more about that later as the time comes..

As for me, I'm having a GREAT on plan week so far. And (since I'm a crazy daily weigher) I can see that my efforts are paying off. I'm already down 4 lbs since my Monday weigh-in. Those 11 lbs will be GONE soon. YAY!.

I found that I was sluggish, too, when I went off plan. The other thing that I noticed was that I was hungry when I woke up in the morning. I never feel hungry in the morning when I am 100% OP..

An acoustic guitar? I am not the least bit musically inclined. I was telling a friend yesterday that I took piano lessons for 7 years growing up. Now, I can't play a thing except for pieces I did for my recitals. I can't even read music very well!.

I am going on vacation in a week so I ordered a new swim suit. I was very disappointed when it arrived yesterday and I did not look as good as I had imagined I would....even though it did not work out, it has given me a new-found motivation to keep it up!.

Where are you headed for vacation? And I completely understand about the swimsuit debacle. Even after being about 70 lbs lighter than last year, I STILL don't feel comfortable in a swimsuit. Will we ever?.

I'm in the same boat of needing to tone as well. I'm good with getting in the minimum exercise req. for our challenge, but not so good at doing toning exercises, etc. That's my goal for the next 2 weeks - to incorporate it into a set schedule. My hubby is heading out of town tomorrow for 2 weeks and I'm hoping I can focus really hard and get into a groove while he's gone. It's much easier to get out of bed (for me anyway) when there's no one to snuggle up next to and hit snooze with!.

How's everyone else doing???..

Today marks my 60th day OP! Tonight I will have the hubby take some pictures of me in that black and white swimsuit. I just hope I can hold it up! It's a size 16 and I'm now wearing a 10. I used to love that swimsuit, so it's kind of sad, but... Okay, I 'm over it! I hope everyone is having a great first week to kick off this challenge. {{{Skinny vibes}}} to all!..

Hello everyon!.

Finally enjoying a couple of days and trying to kick my exercise motivation into gear. last night I was super proud of myself wasnt feeling like working out but made myself go, even though it was 11:30pm, I stuck it out. Then woke up early this morning and went again...Yeah...The hardest part is always getting ready and going, but afterwards I feel so much better.

I am with everyone on the swimsuit issue...YUCK...I have been looking for a new one for months now with no success..

Congrats Penny! That is awesome 60, OP days, wow! I look forward to the picts....I am envious a size 10, you go girl....

On a side not had to go through all my close today and box up more than half of my pants, everyone at work was giving me a hard time because they were falling off. Yeah!.

My scale was up a tad and acting like a chump, so I am going to weigh again tomorrow. Not sure why it would be showing the 1.1 gain, but I updated my ticker in the name of accountability. I've been active just about every day and OP all days. Water like crazy every day, too. I suppose my body is catching up. It's all good...

I had an okay 1st day without my hubby. Took the kids grocery shopping, made lunch & dinner, went for a walk, bathed them, got them in bed and am now settling down to watch a movie. Tomorrow's plan is church and some housecleaning. We'll see how much I get done!.

The banner looks ok now. I wasn't on yesterday so I am not sure what was wrong..

I am going to the beach in South Carolina on Wednesday. I am looking forward to the break but to be honest, I don't really like being out of my routine for too long! I will be on vacation for 2 weeks - which is a long time for me. I still have not found a swim suit and suppose I will just deal with the two I have. They both have the swim skirts, which I like, but was hoping that I would be able to transition to a suit without the skirt..

My challenge starting weight was 157.8 and today I weigh 155.6......When am I going to see the 140's????.

Loss = -2.2.

Exercise = 5/5.

Water = 7/7..

I'm super happy about my week! Getting back to 100% on plan obviously has it's rewards. And I'm feeling so much better. No more sluggish, yucky feelings. After talking with my coach I realized that I did so well with my first goal by setting a date for myself (Eli's 1st bday). So I'm doing that again. My date to reach my final goal (140 lbs) is November 20th.

I think that is doable, don't you guys?.

And for those of you wondering what's up with my date choice... It's the date that the next Twilight movie premieres - New Moon! I'm so excited for it and plan to go see it opening night..

This is the first vacation EVER that I didn't gain about 20 pounds! My brother is an amazing baker and loves to cook every day. AHHH - I got through it without a gain, that to me is the most rewarding challenge I have faced since I started MF. 4 of us on vacation were on Medifast and hopefully 3 out of the other 4 want to do this! WHOO HOO - At least one is almost for sure!..

OMG!!!! Girl you are in the 160's!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!! So proud of you! And yes! Make your goal date the same - how fun would that be? I can't even count how many times I've read all the books - it's a little ridiculous. I just love them! And I've watched Twilight SO many times as well. Can't wait for Stephenie to publish Midnight Sun. I tried to put a countdown to New Moon in my signature, but it had too many characters! Not many of my "in real life" friends have the same love for Twilight as me, so it's great to have you to talk with about it!.

I think I will have internet access.....I hope I will have internet access! I am not sure how I will function for a week without it!.

I am excited to go to the beach because it will be very easy for me to exercise everyday and I am confident I will stay completely on plan. I admit I have been obsessing about what we will eat for dinner - which will be my L & G - so I have decided that I am just going to plan out dinner every night and those who want to eat it can and those who don't can do their own thing...

Jessica - I am not on facebook but my sister, my daughter's Girl Scout troop, and tons of friends keep trying to get me to join. I have a fear facebook that I can't descri be! About Twilight - I have not read the books but did go see the movie. I was surprised that I really liked the movie. Everyone keeps telling me I have to read the books but I have no plans to do so - I just don't have the time but did check them all out to bring to the beach with me. I have so many other books that I want to read that probably won't be movies so they have not been on the priority list. Stephanie Meyer is from Utah (where I live) so all I hear is Twilight this and Twilight that - I have the opposite problem of you! One woman I work with is Twilight crazy and I know she is in some Twilight club. Anyway, I will let you know if I read the books on my vacay!..

Thanks for the back-pats! I know I didn't "blow it," but it's hard to not see the scale keep falling! Yesterday I went to my local bike trail and did 10 miles! It's 5 miles each way and when I got to the end, I didn't even stop - I just turned around and jumped right back on the trail! It was a beautiful, breezy, sunny day and it felt great. I feel so much better, physically and emotionally, when I get good exercise. I spent so many years inactive I think my body wants to get it all in now! So, even though it may stall my loss at first, I know it's good for me and I need to do it, and so be it. We are traveling to CT this weekend for a short vacation (just the weekend) to see my sister in law and brother in law. We'll also see my mother in law and probably some of our friends as well. They know I've been losing weight, but they haven't seen me.

This should be fun! I can't wait to see my little nephew who is almost 2 already! Gotta bring a bunch of fun things for him! Hope you're all having a wonderful, OP start to the week...

Wow, Jessica! Great loss! That must have given you some big momentum, huh? Your goal is definitely doable, girl. I've had trouble on other plans with setting number/scale-related goals, so I haven't set any since I've been on MF. Although, I have to say I've never had the success I've had with MF! So, as far as my mindset on goals, I need to rethink it and set one!..

I weighed myself a day early since we are going to see my sister-in-law tonight through Sunday. I am proud to say I am now in the next "decade," at 178.2! I thought about weighing again on Monday for my challenge entry, but I think I will take this as my entry, and next week when I return to my normal weigh-in schedule, it will reflect an extra day's success! So, for me, it's:.

So, not excited about the no loss this week. But I guess a 6 lb loss last week is the reason why. Just staying focused. One more week before my hubby gets home. I'm ready for it!.

Bought a Wii system this weekend, along with the Wii Fit and Personal Trainer. Excited to ramp up my exercising with a little video gaming. Tried it out last night and had fun. Hoping it will keep me motivated enough to start enjoying exercise instead of seeing it as punishment..

I just put an order in last week, but plan to order some of the new products today. You gals gonna try them? Whoever gets some first - give us all the details!!.

B/C my hubby's been gone I haven't had as much uninterrupted computer time and didn't get a chance to check our challenge results from last week. I'll try to hunt them up this morning..

Thanks, Jessica! I looked for the thread with the results, but have been unsuccessful. Yes, you are right....the 6 pound loss is probably the culprit. But, look at it this way....

Hello all! Hope everyone is having a great week.....

Im a bit bummed about my 0 loss this week. This is the first week I have not had any sort of a loss since I started the program. It has been a pretty hectic and stressful week though,crazy times at work, it was the boyfriends birthday this weekend so lots of socializing and events, So I guess I am pretty proud of myself that I was flat vs. a gain, but still.

It was weird in weighing myself throughout the week I was all over the board, down 3, up 3, down 2, and flat, so I guess I will take the flat and work toward 100% on plan all next week!!!! Jessica I'm with you, next week will be better.

2nd Place last week!!!! Awesome job team, and congrats to everyone on their losses..

I am looking forward to trying the new products as well, was going to place an order at the end of the week so hopefully there will be some left.....

Melinda- nice job with 100% on plan this weekend, weekends are the toughest for me as well so many events... and outings.

Random question: I am flying to a wedding in 3 weeks, has anyone carried on their Medifast with them on the plane...Is it okay to have it in your carry on? So many rules and regulations never sure of what you can or can not take with you..

When I travel, I usually just take bars. I was gone for two and a half weeks and only had maybe 3 shakes and two oatmeals. The rest were bars. I ended up losing 10 pounds in the three weeks. I am guessing that I am one of those people who can still do the bars and be OK. I am leaving again for 10 days in just a couple of weeks.

I make sure that I drink an entire water bottle with each bar. I think that helps keep me "full" for a while..

I just ordered the new products and hope that they are good. I will let you know what I think. I got at least one of each. The bars are just so convenient that I end up using them most of the time. I make pancakes from the oatmeal, too. Other than that, I just have a shake here and there..

Hope we have a good OP week this week. But really, the most important thing is that we all do our best (and those goose eggs will definitely turn into beautiful losses next week.).

Good morning, team! Everyone got their stats in and we had another great week! A combined loss of 11 lbs and everyone got all their water/exercise points! I anticipate another good showing in the rankings for us! GREAT JOB TEAM!!!!!!.

I've done my Wii workout the last 2 days. It is kicking my butt! I'm so stinking sore, but feel good about it. It's been fun so far and doesn't feel TOO much like working out. I hope that is the key for me to sticking to it..

When I traveled I bought the ready-to-drink shakes (that don't have to be refridgerated unless you want them cold) and bars. I was worried about eating bars the whole time and flipped back & forth between the RTD's and bars. I'm not sure about air travel and Medifast meals. Hopefully someone else has some insight for you???.

Jessica, my weekend was so great, I blogged about it! Ha ha! Thanks for asking. My DSIL said I looked "amazing" and we had a great time. I was 100% OP all weekend, despite several minefields of food temptation: zoo concession stand, bakery stuff for breakfast, mall food court, brother-in-law's ice cream shop... boy, was I strong! I went very prepared with several small and large shaker cups (great for extra shaking space with crushed ice), shakes, soups, bars, and oatmeal. We drove, so I can't help with the question about air travel. We ate dinner Saturday at Ruby Tuesday, which is very Medifast-friendly, and we actually even went to our local RT when we got home on Sunday so I wouldn't have to cook! I was very proud to say I stuck to my guns all weekend. I am really looking forward to Saturday's weigh-in!..

Everyone must be having a busy week, huh? Yesterday I bought myself a Magic Bullet, finally. I've been waiting for the price to come down on them, and now that I've bought one at full price, it probably will. I love this little thing. I immediately made a frozen coffee drink that was right up there with something I'd pay $5 for. And, to boot, my Capella Flavor Drops also arrived yesterday, so my first blended, frozen coffee drink was coconut flavored, and the second was blueberry flavored. Those are my 2 favorite Dunkin Donuts iced coffee flavors.

Then I used peanut butter drops and ice in my Dutch Chocolate 70 shake for my evening Medifast meal. Wow! I even used my Magic Bullet for dinner. We had leftover chicken breasts made into chicken salad. For mine, I cubed a 6 oz piece and put it in the little container with 2 dill pickle spears and a little water. I had it on top of some romaine with a little olive oil and vinegar..

I was hoping for more of a loss, but I will take it! I started TOM about 10 days early this week which is REALLY weird for me. Not sure what is going on. I did great with my exercise this week with the new purchase of the Wii. I'm proud of myself for stepping it up!.

My husband is back in town - which is AWESOME! I missed him so much. Two weeks was way too long..

I didn't know what was going on, but I just went and checked it out. What a silly, unfortunate mess! I just posted my thanks to Wendy for doing what she does. Not sure I'd be putting up with that crap if it was me!.

Anyone else try the new products yet? I got all 4 of them last Friday and have tried them all. My faves are the paremesan puffs and the chili nacho puffs. The pretzels (honey mustard & cinnamon) are good as well - just a different texture than normal pretzels and a little harder to get used to. I will FOR SURE be ordering more of the puffs. SUPER good and filling. Will be a godsend on my upcoming out-of-town trip! No worries about melting!..

Good morning, ladies! It's a quiet morning in my house and I am totally enjoying it! My hubby is at work, and my little one is still asleep. I am savoring a freshly brewed SB Caffe Verona with a Dutch Chocolate shake, blueberry Capella flavor drops and ice. YUM! I am rationing my shakes because my new order doesn't come until Monday and I have mostly soups left. Today is my weigh-in day and I am down another 2.2! I always hope for more, but I can't complain about it since I am still in the average range of weekly loss. I also took my measurements which I haven't done since June 27. I've lost another 6 1/2 inches overall! Just in 5 weeks!! My 90 day mark is coming next Sunday and I'd love to be in the 160's next weigh-in.

We are having a great time on vacation. Lots of hiking and swimming. yeah, exercise! I tried the chili puffs today. Pleasantly surprised at how good they are. Plenty in the bag, too!.

This is the greatest day! I had my biggest weight loss since the first week: 4lbs!. I hit 30 lbs lost and to top it all off, I am taking my 12 year old daughter and her friend to the Jonas Brothers concert tonight and just got an email from a friend in the music industry saying the she put our names on the backstage pass list! My daughter is going to freak out!.

Thanks for the back-pats, ladies! I got my shipment today for the month and it included Parmesan Cheese Puffs and Honey Mustard Pretzels. I will have the pretzels tomorrow after work since they're great to have in the car, but I had the puffs tonight. They are pretty good - exactly like Italian seasoned croutons! Except, I was noticeably full after finishing them. If they were just plain bread croutons, I would have wanted more and they would not have filled me up. I say this from experience! Can't wait to try the pretzels tomorrow. I also ordered banana pudding and am looking forward to having summa dat!..

Hello all.....ahhh crazy busy week at work and have a paper due for my class today and barely just started.

I am enjoying the new puffs and pretzels, not sure of my fav. yet but really like the cinn. pretzels and both the cheese puff. Still not 100% sure about the honey mustard pretzels yet, they arent bad just cant decide how much I like them.

But thumbs up from me so far and I agree they are super filling..... it seems like the bags are never ending.

I think I posted this earlier (but maybe I didn't??) about my thoughts on the new products. I LOVE the parmesan cheese puffs and the chili nacho puffs! Both are SUPER yummy, filling, and WAY portable! No worrying about melting here! The honey mustard pretzels and cinn pretzels are okay in my opinion. I think I'll have to get used to them (like I did with the oatmeal). The texture is just "different" and is taking some getting used to. I didn't order them again this time b/c my boxes were still mostly full, if that tells you anything!.

I agree with Penny's likening of the Parm cheese puffs to seasoned croutons - YUM! And the chili nacho puffs remind me of the flavor of chili corn chips - also yum! And the portion size amazes me..

Everyone else let us know what you think about the new stuff!..

Ok sorry for the disappearance act...lol! But I needed a Medifast break. I took a nice month off. Gained a couple of pounds but nothing to cry over. Trying to use what Medifast products I have to get them back off and maybe a few more *G*.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to buy and Medifast stuff for a while. We are about to start building our house...finally! Hopefully break ground in October-November. We are super excited but money is tight tight tight...

My scale wasn't as far down as I'd hoped it would be this morning. Since it's still early for an official "report," I will look tomorrow and Monday and take the lowest of the three. Nothing says I can't do that, right? I'm now over 35 lbs. lost, which means LESS THAN 15 lbs. to goal. I am still incredibly happy with being 172 point something, and this morning I am taking my little girl to the bike trail where I will walk/jog (wog?) next to her. Onward and downward, y'all!..

Last night I missed my 90-day progress pictures! Can you believe that?! I was going to do it, then we had to go to a friend's house for a small birthday party. Greasy, fried, snacky foods galore! I had not a single bite. I was armed with my Camel Bak water bottle and I held my ground! Even when they served the vanilla custard birthday cake! Those things really don't tempt me. It's the jar of peanut butter in the pantry that calls my name. But I was starving when we got home and had my favorite volume-food L&G: Egg Beaters. After that I was too full to feel like getting into my bathing suit and having pictures taken. I did try them on, though, when I put Emma to bed, and there's plenty of room in there! I have a couple of new ones for vacation (this weekend) and we'll have plenty of photo ops then!..

Hey team! Sorry for my disappearing act!!! I didn't take time to post, but we went to Omaha for a short 10 yr anniversary trip. Took the kiddos to the zoo and children's museum and then Emma and I had tickets to the Taylor Swift concert last night. Just got back to KC this afternoon. The concert was AMAZING!!! We both had a blast!.

I am pleased to report that I stayed completely OP the whole trip. I even exercised everyday at the hotel gym! That has NEVER been something I would do. Plus, we walked our tails off each day at the zoo and museum (and the mall!). Hubby didn't think I "needed" the extra exercise on top of it all, but I felt better doing it. The hotel gym was so cool! And we went swimming as well..

While at the mall I got my first Twilight paraphenilia..

I bought 2 t-shirts - they'll qualify as my Omaha souvenirs, right? I felt VERY old shopping at Hot Topic - LOL! Oh well! I love my shirts, though!.

I always weigh in the am, so I'll post my stats ASAP tomorrow morning and get them sent in for our team. I'm excited to see how it turns out!.

Yaaayyy! Go Shrinky Dinks!.

I am just about all packed and ready to head out after work this afternoon on our little mini-vacation, and can you believe I am coming down with a cold?! I can feel it. My little girl has been sneezy and sniffly all week. This is the first time I've been sick since starting MF, not counting having strep the day I started. SF cough drops, and if I need it, I'll have to get some SF cough syrup... somehow I doubt it will be a really bad cold since Medifast has made my body so strong..
