Question I have... Anyone tried the famous Medifast - and if so- what were your results.? Looking forward for any answer. My 2nd question... I received my first box from Medifast this on Wed (1.12.11), and today marks day 3 for me. I have loved reading posts and blogs by Medifast veterans and learning from their experiences, but I would love to link up with a group of people who are just beginning their journey..

Is there anyone out there who is brand new to the program that would like to connect for weekly weigh-ins, regular check-ins, and all around encouragement and camaraderie?..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..

Hi Audrey!.

I am learning a lot about what I like and dislike, too! It seems like everybody out there has some favorites and some that they do not like, at all. I ordered the variety box, so all sorts of things showed up at my door. I have had something out of all the general categories, except the eggs. I have not quite worked up the guts to try them out. There is something about powered eggs that seem a little icky to me. I was supposed to have them this evening but I chickened out and pushed them to tomorrow!.

Good luck with day six tomorrow!.

Anyone else new?..

I started on the 4th! So far I've been doing ok. I also ordered the variety pack.. no eggs for me tho... everything has been tasting alright to me. The only thing that caught me totally off guard was the oatmeal... ugh. I'm really surprised that most of the food is actually tasting good to me..

Give the eggs a chance but don't cook in the microwave. Prepare them on the stovetop in a skillet sprayed with Pam and the consistency is closer to that of scrambled eggs. Top with salsa and enjoy!..

Hi all. I'm new, too. I started on the 10th. I actually didn't mind the eggs! haha I got the variety box as well. A friend who has been on Medifast for about a year or so gave me good advice about the hot drinks - just add a little water at first to stir in all the powder, then add the rest of the water. I had a horrible cappuccino drink the first time around because I didn't get everything dissolved!..

Hey! I too started on the 10th! I'm so excited about my weigh in tomorrow! I find the oatmeal to be better cooked on the stove but still not at all good lol. And the cream of chicken YUCK! But I love the eggs, I've only cooked them on the stove top I wouldn't try microwaving them. But I've been reading... ALOT, of recipes to change up the Medifast meals that I will be trying for sure in the upcoming months of MF!..

Hey everyone! I am new too! I just finished week 2! I am really getting used to this, but have learned a few things about my orders. Many of the foods are not easy to make for snacks at work. I will be ordering more shakes and bars next time so I dont have to go use the microwave. I love love LOVE the eggs! I let them soak for about 5 minutes before pouring them in the pan and add one chopped mushroom! So good!.

I would love to have everyone check in their weights here so I can see progress and share my own. What day do you all weigh in? I am on Friday...

I'm right there with you! Got my food on Wed, started on Thurs, and today is day 4! Happy to report that I've stayed 100% OP, most of the food is better than I expected. I skipped out on the variety pack & built my own - it was actually a bit cheaper & I was able to pick foods closer to what I normally eat. Why eat powdered scrambled eggs when you can have tons of egg beaters, or better yet, actual eggs?? (Be sure to read up on all your options, including meatless options here.

).

Good luck, all!..

I like the eggs. I mix as directed and cook them in a small omelette pan. ADD SALT & PEPPER. If have any green veggie left over from the night before, I put a pinch in (weigh it and deduct it from your green for the day). I use 1 Tbsp. of salsa on top and it is delish (deduct salsa from your condiments).

They look water and bad when they go in the pan, but they taste good coming out...

Don't give up on the oatmeal. I didn't try it until week 4. I only eat the maple & brown sugar variety. It keeps me full longer than some of the other breakfast options. Make sure you put a little salt in it...

I use the cream of chicken soup as a base for delicious chicken soup. I shake it very well, then I add 3 oz. of canned chicken and a small amount of steamed broccoli. Be sure to deduct the chicken and broccoli from your l&g, but the amount of broccoli you will use is minimal. It makes a delicious lunch meal, and I still have enough protein left to put on a salad at night...

For me, the Medifast eggs were just more convenient, but you are correct. If you use eggbeaters for your l&g meal, you can have A LOT of food...

How did you all choose your own meals? I ordered the variety pack also, will be here Friday. I ended up ordering 4 boxes of soups on ebay because it was $2 cheaper plus free shipping. Do you just order from the Medifast website where it says products? And if you do 300$ that way will you still get the VIP membership w/free shipping and autoship on those selected products? I am so new at this, but we allotted the $300/month for this so I thought choosing your own would make it more exspensive?..

Wow I don't know why this thread didn't show up when I clicked on new post until today *scratches head*. Anyways to order a custom shipment just click on what you want under products, just remember you need to order 20 boxes. I'm not to sure about the V.I.P. membership as I'm a coupon user but I do know you'll still get the free shipping as long as your order is $275 or more. I think it might be a tiny bit more exspensive do do a custom order like $10 more. I've discovered I'm not afan of the pancakes.

I love the ice cream, shakes with coffee in place of water, and the brownies... omg so freakin good. Oh and I weighed in yesterday I weighed in and lost... 8lbs woot woot! Hope everybody is having a great OP day. Let me know how the eggs turn out..

Thank you! Yah I pretty much added everything that was equivillant to what the standard package comes with it was 330$ so $30 more, but I know there are some coupons out there I saw one for $75 off the other day. Congrats on the 8 lbs!.

I weighed in today, I'm not on Medifast yet still waiting for my box but I have been doing a diet for the past week and a half and I am down 5lbs woohoo..

Hi there - I think this looks like a good place for me to join in, if you are still keeping up with this thread! I started two weeks ago - lost 4.6 the first week, and 3.6 the second week - really exciting for me - I'm 20% to my goal of 38lbs already!.

I actually like the eggs - I made them in the microwave the first day - and I didn't mind them, and cooked them in a skillet the second time - and was just fine either way to me. I did try some oatmeal a few days in, and added a smidge of sugar-free chai concentrate in place of the water - and I didn't mind it at all - the texture was different, but I kinda was prepared for it to be worse. I tried the chicken noodle soup the first day, and had two bites and poured it down the sink - I just couldn't choke it down... I'm thinking about trying the cream of tomato with my next order.....

Hi Sarah. congrats on your weight loss. I just finished my 2nd week on Monday, lost 4lbs woot.I think the soups are ok as long as you let them sit for at least 2hrs and them stir them really good b4 cooking and once you pull them out of the micro give it another stir. I've discovered I'm in love with most of there chocolate stuff so next order is chocolate everything haha. Also caulliflower really can taste like mashed potatos who knew? Next I'm trying radish fries..

Hey All You First Box-ers!.

Sounds like a lot of us are all in a similar stage of the program. I am now on day 20, and looking forward to ordering the next month's worth of food in the next couple of days..

Audrey & Sarah~ How is it going for you all? From your posts, it sounds like you are having a good run of it! Let me know how everyone is!.

I'd also love to hear how many of us would like to "group up" into a support group thread. Who wants to launch out into a fresh group for February? Any ideas for a group theme?.

Give a shout out!.

~Katie..
