My 1st question is: Can anyone tell me a fast Nutrisystem diet? Looking forward for any answer. Second question.. Tomorrow is official weigh in and I am down only 4 lbs... as of today. I do feel pretty good thought and my pants are loose.. |

Ye, but you might want to make sure and wait for another person to confirm it as I am not sure. Better yet, why don't you ask the Nutrisystem guys because they can answer you better...

I'm down about 8 pounds although I'm not 100% sure what my starting weight was...

I.
Lost. 16 lbs. in the first week.. Oh, and I hear a grammar war stirring...... |
|
Four pounds is a VERY respectable weight loss for a first week!..

I avoided the scale for 2 weeks, was close to 100% NS, drank 4 times the amount of water required each day, worked out for 1-2 hours 13 of the 14 days and lost 25 pounds in 2 weeks. I have scaled back and last week only lost 3 pounds but I am thrilled it's a loss...

I lost somewhere around 8 lbs. It will depend on how much you need to lose overall though. everyone is different. To date I lost a total of about 50-55 lbs. since I started however I have actually gained muscle with all of the intense resistance training I do. In the last month or two I put on about 2-3 lbs.

I weigh every Saturday morning and record it in my log. There have been months when I lost only a single pound, and weeks when I lost 3 or 4. The whole time, I've been doing strength (resistance) training..
For about a year, I lost weight and my measurements shrank. Went from size 54 pants to 42s, am edging into 38s now, just not quite there. But some of my clothes have gotten a little tight in the shoulders and legs and chest, and believe me, it's not because of bodyfat. Well, it is, but because of the muscle mass underneath the bodyfat.. My point is, measuring your weight is a good thing, but it's not the only measurement of quality of life. Being able to buy clothes off the rack in a normal (not big & tall) store is one measure. Coming off some or all of your diabetes and/or blood pressure meds is another measure. In my case, I was able to put the full knee braces (stainless steel and composite, hideous affairs) in a closet close to 8 months ago now.. I'd take any/all of those achievements any day over losing weight as a measure of success... |

8lbs the 1st week. I'm 1/2 way thru month 2 and seem to have settled into a loss of 2.5-3 lbs a week. Increased activity definately helps (mentally as well as physically) Don't get discouraged and stay off the scale. One weigh in per week tops. Do any more than that and you really make it harder on yourself. You tend to ask youself why did I only lose 1 lb over the past 3 days rather than celebrate the weight you lost during a week or more.
Best of luck to you... |

Dropped about 5 lbs my first week, then steadily loosing 2-4 lbs per week. According to my graph below, I am averaging 1/2 pound per day...then there are those NSVs!! Pant size down from 48 to 42 (and about to go down again!)...Blood pressure down...Blood suger down...Attitude and Confidence UP!!! I feel good...this works for me and based on what I read on these discussion boards, it works for alot of people..
The keys are: Follow the plan, drink the water, exercise, get your support from these posts and other blogs and resources on this site. Last, but perhaps most important, Take Personal Responsibility that I am the one who got me FAT to begin with. I have the power and ability to get myself back in shape. I need to do this for myself...The added benefit is I will look better for my wife and by being healthier, have a better chance of being with her and my kids and grandkids a lot longer...Ok...end of this mornings Nutri Sermon...Have a great day guys and be a looser.. |
