Happy Wednesday everyone!!! I hope everyone's day is going great, and we are staying OP!! I have a job interview next week for a position with the USPS, and I have a drug test today for a DIFFERENT job with the USPS. I am happy to say that things are finally looking up for DW and I as far as finances and stuff goes, especially with the instability of the market. How is everyone's day going?..

My DH, in your optimism, you seem to be forgetting that I am getting laid off!... I work for the state of michigan and they are shutting us down for a week plus with no pay. They are not sure if they are going to break them up, or make us do it all in one shot. Not a smart thing for them to do either, as I am an investigator of child abuse. Will be a messy couple months for us at work and put some families at serious risk. Hopefully DH will get some luck and it wont be too painful!..

Hey Everyone! I hope it's been a good day so far. I went about 3 days where I had NO energy. If I wasn't feeding critters or at physical therapy I was sleeping. Anyway, seem to be much better today..

I just wanted to remind everyone that it's almost impossible to not get in 5 days of exercise when you look at the list on "My Plan". Everything from doing laundry to dancing and sex counts as exercise!.

One other thing does anyone have any tips on how to stay "regular"? That's one of my biggest problems..

Thanks and drink away Surfers; tomorrow is thirsty Thursday!..

answered May 02 at 11:32

David's gravatar image

Great point on the exercise! I can get it in, even with the bad back...doing laundry, stretching/yoga, etc. it all counts!.

As for the regularity, I dont really have an issue with that, but I would try the higher fiber veggies, make sure you are getting your fats in to 'grease' the system, drink more water, add a little flax seed to a meal and make sure you get moving exercise wise. If none of that works let Adam or I know and we can make a call together!.

Also keep in mind that you may not be going as much as you used to because your food intake is a ton less! However, if you feel bloated, uncomfortable, or it's hard to go then that is a different issue. Hope that wasn't TMI for anyone!..

Amy- At least you're running! Great Job! and the 4-2..Hey..if that's what you have to do to stay on plan then it's better than not being OP.

Marilyn- I have no tips on staying regular except getting all of my water in plus some..I was not going as well as I should have and then bumped up the water..no more issues..

Today was my "official" weekly weigh-in..(drumroll please) -4.4.

I received the EA Active in the mail the other day..Man is that thing kicking my butt..never the same thing each day..and I don't have to pick what I'm going to do..it keeps the intensity up and the exercise varied..I'm liking it alot!!.

Well I have say that first and foremost it was staying on plan 100%. On average I drink 1 1/2 gallons of water a day and my workouts are 6 days a week. Workouts consist of different activities. running (3 days), heavy bag boxing (3 days), heavy weight training (4 days), ab routine (6 days) and some other assorted calisthenics. I have actually been pushing it rather hard since 2nd week. I've always loved to work out and now that I have the energy and motivation it is all coming together.

Bottom line no secrets just listening to everyone here on medifast and then constructing a work out that was best fit for me and pushed me to the max for 45 minutes..

Hey Heather! Welcome to Medifast and the Silver Surfers! Looks like Marilyn gave a great rundown on how being on a team goes. Each Sunday or Monday we post our weight lost, how many days we drank at least 64 oz of water and how many days (with a max of 5) that we exercise. Remember that a whole lot of things count as exercise on the Medifast website and you can explore the options on your myplan tab..

We would love to have you join on! I will have my hubby (chefadamc) PM you the banner next time he is on..

As for me..yuck...2:30 AM here and headed to bed. Why do I keep agreeing to be on call?? TGIF for sure, I am done at 8:00 AM (well, then I have to do my regular work day...but I am off the pager at least)!..

Oooh, one more thing I dont think I posted before...Had some pretty good NSVs lately. I had my physical recently and for the first time ever in my life my cholesterol was in a normal range and so was my sugar! I know it has everything to do with Medifast and getting this weight off!.

On a HILARIOUS note, the doctor told me I seemed a bit dehydrated though. This was because the misinformed lady at the front desk told me I could NOT drink water after midnight before my lab work, but the lab techs told me while struggling to get blood out of my dry little veins that I SHOULD have drank water and lots of it! I told the doc the mix up of info and that I usually drink about 100 oz of water a day and she said thats probably why I dried up so fast!..

Heather - Welcome to the team!!! Everyone has already given you a rundown, so I am not going to repost information that has already been given to you!.

SSSD (Sexy Summer SlimDown) has already begun, and we are in the third week. It lasts 6 weeks, and you are MORE than welcome to post your stats this week, and then continue to post when the next challenge starts. It's wholly up to you, but good to get into the practice!.

Look forward to seeing you post MORE results with us!!!..

I started transition on 26 May. The encouragement from CINCFAM and a little nudge really helped. I'm getting close to my goal and then I will see where I'm at. Feeling great!!!.

Have a great week..
