Hello all Purple Peeps out there!!! I'm sitting beside the pool watching Mike and Lexi play and Jillian is playing around the parimeter. I can't go in with the new incision on my collarbne. So decided to start the new threads and post..

I wore an absolutely fantastic outfit tonight. I have pics... but mine aren't s good as te ones that are coming. But will post them soon..

Crystal... Thanks for the report... I will be sure to pass that along to our staff. I personally vaccinated 52 staff members over the last 2 weeks. We've had several with H1N1 symptoms... we have a staff of 200.

My DD2 and DS have been vaccinated, along with me. Awaiting DD1 to have the vaccine at school..

Marni... How sweet that she wanted you to go with her for her birthday. Teens that age tend to start pulling away... so that's awesome. Hope you enjoyed your night!.

Jackie... I personally mix the parmesian and the chili cheese puffs together. They balance each other well. I go through spurts where I like one really well... wish I had more then when the next shipment arrives I'm tired of them within the first week... and am desiring something else.

Donna... AWWW!!!! Such a sweet little one! Congrats on the grandbaby! Hopefully all is healthy and well with this one? Great pic of you too!!.

Molly... He was deployed in 2003-2005. He was gone 18 months that time. It's 12 months this time. He left after I lost 50-60 pounds... so not a whole lot of shock there.

All the other peeps... missing you! It's awfully quiet around here!!.

Ok... per Crystal's request... a photo (the better one will come when the person who has it sends it to me!)..

I am going to make the Medifast green bean cassrole receipe today and some turkey patties tonight for dinner. Otherwise today has been a good day on plan. How is everyone else doing?..

Hi all, just trying to catch up after my exciting past few days..

Kristi, you look fantastic. Thank you for being such an inspiration. Yes, Jaydyn is good and healthy. The hospital staff and pediatrician couldn't figure out why Bri and Charles were so anxious to be released after her birth. The spent so much time in the hospital last year with the twins in NICU for a month and a half then again for two weeks, a month later for Alyssa's open heart surgery. They were released Friday night and all is well..

Congrats on the losses so far..

Thanks everyone. Funny thing is... I bought that dress for 10$!!! I bought it last June. There was a sell on formals at an event I was at... and she had a 10$ rack. I thought...

The other two don't fit yet still... but I'm getting there! The shoes were more expensive than the dress. They were 25.00 lol They had 4 inch heels. I have never owned a pair of 4 inch heels... EVER! LOL.

Lots of compliments and it did feel great. It was a wonder my cheek muscles didn't hurt afterwards... from smilling so much..

My arms have sagging... I have been using the Avon product to help firm up skin and it's helped a little. My belly and butt are the worst of the saggers! LOL Well I try to forget about the bust too! LOL.

Anyways... DH was very pleased with the pics... he can't hardly wait to get home. He knows though if he doesn't lose enough on deployment... he's going on the program when he gets home next May!.

He's 6'5" and 240-250#... and with a little 5'4" and to be less than 135#... well... you get the picture! LOL.

My DD1 is funny... she said... What style are you going for next mom??? My clothes styles have changed so much she's not shocked anymore... and I think she's excited that mom and her about wear the same size clothes and shoes..

Hope every one had a great weekend... and that everyone is posting their stats!..

Hope you all had a great weekend. Everyone must have been busy doing something because the boards were very quiet.

I had a few hockey games over the weekend so I thought I would have ended up with a better loss, but who knows. I weighed the same this morning as I did Friday morning after my wings extravanza... Hmpfh!.

But, the good news is that I went shopping and bought a few new pairs of jeans on Saturday so I am excited to wear them this week..

Quote: jackie, about the parm puffs... I love em, but again, I just went back on plan so I never tasted them to begin with... I'm not a fan of the chili nacho ones, but I love the parm ones. I plan on taking a pack to the movies with me tonight. I'm loving the new choices, makes snacking much easier and convenient. I do understand your getting tired with the lack of variety...

(i did maintain, not one lb gained!) I just had to have something different to choose from. I found myself making all the wrong choices though because I so abruptly went off plan. I didnt transition and I found myself eating all the foods that I loved and ones that are huge triggers. dont be hard on yourself if you go off plan jackie, you look amazing and have done a fantastic job on this plan. you are a definite role model for everyone..

Hi Crystal,.

I was just finishing up reading last week's thread. Thanks for your support! You definitely understand what I'm gonig through right now..

I've been craving crackers, peanut butter and milk for the most part lately. I got a couple of boxes of wheat thins high fiber crackers, thinking I could just substitute those for the snacks that Medifast makes. But I'm still not able to control myself well enough. I've gone through almost a whole box in a few days. UGH. I'd better try packaging them up in appropriate serving sizes to see if that helps.

But the cost is SO much less than MF. The same thing with peanut butter bars. The ones that Medifast makes just don't taste good to me, but the South Beach bars @ 140 cal. are pretty close in nutrients - but yeah, 30 calories more. I got some for about $3.10 per box as opposed to $15.50, so I don't feel bad.

If I eat 2..

I also got some soy creamer at Trader Joe's, but that also tasted WAY TOO.

! So I got a 1 qt. aseptic container of Soy Slender to use in my coffee. It's got 1/2 the calories of the soy creamer. Not as good, but it's acceptable. At least that is a substitute. I've got to get myself back into drinking tea instead of coffee.

Syrup! There are plenty of great herbal teas out there; I just have to convince myself that's what I need!!!.

Another **SIGH** cause it's time to GET BACK TO WORK JACKIE!!! so, TTFN my purple friends!..

Hi Team!.

Happy Tuesday! (is it Friday YET??).

It's a little slow today at work, so I have a moment during lunch time today..

Lisa, what do you do special for the shake cakes? I'll have to dig out my recipe it's buried somewhere on my home computer. I have some strawberry and vanilla shakes I can use, since it's too cold for shakes right now. Or can you make them into cookies? Of course, cookies are my BIG downfall..

Did someone mention green bean casserole, Medifast style? I'm going to my nephew & his fiance's for Thanksgiving, and I'd love to stay OP if possible. Obviously the turkey will be fine, but how about dessert suggestions? I know pumpkin and cranberries are not OP, but maybe there's a way to fudge a little for that day, as "legally" as possible. I always used fresh cranberries and cooked them with splenda; then when cool, I put some into raspberry diet jell-o. It was really good, and I can't imagine there are THAT many calories for just one day..

My niece's fiance just left for Afghanistan on Sunday. He works for the Army Corps of Engineers, and is due to come back around May 15. Please keep Marty in your prayers, along with all the other spouses of our team members, and Sandy's dad..

To all..

Hope everyone has a great day today! Bye for now,..

Jackie.... I google nutritional facts... find out the carbs and calories in things. It helps me stay away from those things! You'd be amazed at how much carbs are in things like that (ie cranberries and such). I would personally stick to the diet jello and a little whipped topping..

I started this program exactly a year ago now... it is my year anniversary. I went through Thanksgiving and Christmas totally OP! Ok - New years screwed me up... but I did great through those holidays. It is possible... and got to remember...

Not FOOD!.

Yeah... easier said than done. I have to admit on Thanksgiving I went and took a nap with my toddler to quit thinking about the food... as my week long OP time had my stomache growling. I sooo badly wanted my aunt's homemade rolls and berry pie... but the pumpkin pie was killer missing that.

Made with Medifast foods... and it helped to curb that craving.... well... a few weeks later when I had the foods to make it with...

Went and saw the neurologist on Tuesday... Nice Dr... very thorough. I went out of our little area for that. I've had a loss of feeling in my left leg for several years - but denied any problem because I figured it was due to being overweight. Well, sure enough we think it was.

Whether it is a pinched nerve or just a damaged nerve that is trying to repair... don't know. She ordered a MRI so hopefully Insurance will approve and let us see what it is. She was happy that there was no more serious effects than just the sensation of tingling. I have all range of motion, reflexes and good strength.

She ordered a copper, zinc, and B12 level. She's rechecking my thyroid level too... my pcp checked it not too long ago and it was ok. I was happy with the exam and hope that my nerve will recover... but it won't keep me off the sandboard!!!.

Speaking of... my ribs still are popping... and painful at times.... I think maybe one or two dislocated (the tendon or what ever the structure is that holds them together probably tore making the ribs pop around)... Nothing they can do for that but rest.....

YES, the holidays are not about FOOD! I am there with you sister. Why has our culture done that. Why is eating considered entertaiment? I can be OP for the holidays. I don't need that food to make me thankful for what we have or enjoy opening presents. I need to take a step back to truly enjoy what is it we are supposed to be enjoying..

Yes, it is a pain in the rear to plan, to watch others stuff the food down, and to be strong. BUT I AM STRONG!! I can be that person and so can all of you! Come here and vent, share ideas, share successes..

Been so busy the past week that I have had no time to post. That being said, I have stayed 100% OP and seem to have found my focus. I plan on staying OP through the holidays. Now that I am finally back in Ketosis I have my energy back..

The Holidays are always tough. This will be my second year on Medifast during the holiday. The key to success is planning, planning, planning. On Thanksgiving I go to my parents house, bring the fresh green beans and my Medifast food. So for dinner I am having Turkey and green beans. I will also probably have cappuccino or Hot Chocolate with some extra coffee added in to keep away the hunger pains.

And the other thing I will do is stay out of the kitchen and dining room except during the meal. I find that the adults linger keep picking at the food and the kids will get up and go play. I will go play with the kids!.

I think it would be a great idea if everyone put in writing what they are going to eat for Thanksgiving Day. This will get everyone focused far enough in advance to be prepared!.

Have a great Thursday everyone...

My plan for thanksgiving-.

MF stuffing- it was YUM. I made it an entire veggie serving with celery and mushrooms..

1 pack Medifast crackers.

4-5 oz. Water.

1 Chicken Bouillon Cube or Chicken Bouillon Crystals.

2 Tablespoons finely chopped onion.

2 - 4 Tablespoons finely chopped celery.

1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic.

A pinch of poultry seasoning.

Crush crackers in the packet, Pour into small bowl..

Mix Bouillon and water together, add onions & celery, saute until tender..

Add to top of crackers with seasonings, add water a little at.

A time to attain the consistency you desire..

1 cup of a veggie- was going to do caulipotatoes, but might do mushrooms and 6 oz of turkey...

Sandy, I am so sorry about the news... you are in my thoughts and prayers....

Marni, that stuffing recipe sounds YUMMO! I may have to try that one! I am making the stuffing for thanksgiving... looks like i've found myself a "safe" recipe so that I dont indulge in my own!.

Lisa, good to see you back on plan! Dont you LOVE the energy that the ketotic state creates?! I lost it when I went off plan for a few months and didnt realize how much I missed it!.

So I'm into week 3 and i've lost a total of 13lbs so far, I am very excited. Only like 16lbs from goal... I finally broke down and bought a pair of size 10 jeans the other day, that was exciting... I only started in a 14/16, seems like I go down slowly with regards to the clothing... I do have to say though... I'm looking pretty good and I cant wait to hopefully get into a size 6...

Everyone at work has been trying to get me to stop losing, they say I'm too thin... I tell them that it's not about being thin, it's about being healthy, and a healthy weight range for me is up to 159... I'm not quite there yet....

Anyway... I'm off to get ready to pick my eldest up from school... hope everyone has a great night!..

Hi, I'm still here, just been very busy..

Sandy, so very sorry to hear about your dad. Your family is in my prayers..

Marni, I may have to try your stuffing recipe. Sounds very good..

Crystal, congrats on the 13lbs and size 10's. I was so excited when I got into 10's and now they are baggy on me. I can still wear them so I will wait until goal to buy smaller..

My plan for Thanksgiving is to have some turkey, salad and a veggie. We will be elk hunting and it will just be myself, DH, DD1, DSIL and DGS. We will have the motorhome so there should not be a problem..

I tried the spaghetti squash last night for the first time. My mom always fixed different types of squash when I was growing up and I never liked any except zucchini so I was hesitant to try this. OMG!! I nuked it, flesh side down in 1/4c water for 12 min, scraped it into a casserole dish, sprayed some ICBINB on it added some "Jonnies" garlic seasoning and fresh grated parm and put it under the broiler. It was so good. I will be having that more often. Maybe next time with some Italian diced tomatoes?? Sounds good..

Anyway, hope everyone is having a great day, I am so looking forward to the weekend. Maybe things will slow down..

Hi Purple peeps,.

I could have sworn that I posted yesterday... but apparently not. So, that is how crazy it's been for me and now I'm writing a novel LOL! Going great tho! My 1 month Medifast anniv was on the 17th and I have lost a total of 14 pounds! Plus, I should have a good number this week - so far I'm down 3.5 since my Sunday weigh in. I'm doing lots of wii fit! and lots of water..

Sandy, so very sorry. Sending prayers..

Marni, awesome recipe! can't wait to try it! As for firming stuff, I have a container of olive oil in my shower and I spread it on before I dry off..

Donna, I like the sound of the spaghetti squash with the diced Italian tomatoes. Mmmm grate some l/c cheese on top...oh yum! WTG on getting to healthy BMI - must be exciting!.

Crystal! 13 pounds in 3 weeks is fantastic! WTG!.

Irish Lisa, I'm focusing the holidays more on people and the occasion and not on food. I plan to eat L&G Thanksgiving night since I am thankful for my choice and determination to be healthy. That said, I'm cooking a turkey and will eat white meat with Marni's stuffing, and yummy vegie dishes like zucchini ribbons and spaghetti squash. For desert, I'll probably have a Medifast S'mores bar since they are soooooo yummy!.

Chris - good to "see" you. ;-).

Kristie - excited for you that your hubby will be home soon! Happy anniversary! You sure have come a long way in one year! I hope your sciatic heals. Have you ever tried an Upper Cervical Chiropractor? We have a guy towards Seattle who is amazing - way different than standard chiropractic. oh and that dress was a steal!!! You looked smashing!.

Jennifer - can you share your green bean casserole recipe? My pants problem is the opposite! my legs are HUGE and my top is going down. I'm a size 18 - 38" waist and 23" calf... ugh..

Molly, good going with the shopping. I did find one pair of pants myself and it sure does feel good to feel attractive in nice fitting pants..

Jackie, have you found PB2 yet? I hear it is amazing! you can get it at.

Charmed Lisa, hope your boyfriend is healing. I agree, it is great having another person in the house on program at the same time - like it's a team effort..

Not much going on here. We went to Costco today and out to a fish place for lunch. Had a free coupon for a free meal since they are celebrating their 21 st B-Day. Wahoo's Fish Taco's. YUM...Good....

No back home catching up here, FB games...lol... and of course the dreaded laundry..

Hope everyone is having a Great Saturday !!!..
