That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could help you..

Rutgers is good for college football in the north east. With Syracuse sucking it up over the last....well a long time, Rutgers has been one of the only bright spots. Now, with Uconn starting to accumulate a fan base and getting better every year, BC becoming relevent over the past few years and MAYBE if Robinson is fired at syracuse and they go out and drop a few mil on a new coach, they might regain some of their glory..
Maybe I'm bias against Pitt being a WVU fan, but I pick them to lose almost every game lol, I hate those suckas!.. |
Not much has surprised me more these past few years, meaning how UConn moved up to Div I-A just recently and then recruited well and got so good so fast..
As for RU, it's equally amazing they haven't always been good. The NYC sports market is the largest in the US, and it's never really had a Div I-A contender all these years. With RU being a huge state school, big state, NYC media visibility. Don't get it. (Not sure I'd count Syracuse as NYC market; close, but isn't like the NYC papers and WFAN covered them when they were good, but they do cover RU heavily now). Buddy of mine is WVU fan too. You all are a strong bunch.. ... |
I'm originally from CT, but went to college in WV. As you've said, college football has not really had a presence in the NE, so I didnt become a CF fan till I went to college lol..
Uconn has done a GREAT job so far, now they just need to sustain and improve little by little, and perhaps their football program may one day catch up to their Bball program.. Rutgers is a surprise, but the truth is all those great NY and NJ recruits have been going out of state for a LONG time, down to where college football rules...the south. Now they are starting to keep some of those recruits in state and it's showing... |
HAH! Try being a Dolphins fan the past 5 years, I don't want ANY complaints from a patriots fan, EVER! Now man up and talk some football!!..
Well, Rutgers is a minute away from pulling a very large upset, I'm the man! lol..
Oh yeah, the LAST team that beat the pats in the Regular season was the fins too, hows that taste lol...
Kind of like the taste of no superbowls since....1974? Were you even born then??..
Whoa. Yeah, you called it. 54-34, ouch..
A quick piece of Rutgers trivia, and then I'll park it:. In November 1869, Rutgers played Princeton in the first ever intercollegiate football game. Rutgers won 6-4. The following week, they played a rematch which Princeton won 8-0. So, that first week in November 1869 is the last time Rutgers Football was ever ranked #1 in the country... |
It has been a while, and I wasnt born till 78, but worry not. The Fins will be back on top soon enough. Hell, if the Pats can go from nothing to one of the best dynasties ever, than so can the fins!..
So, you were born the year I got out of high school....
I actually saw your Dolphins play in Super Bowl VIII down in Houston...I was 13.. You could get a lot closer to the players back then, and I got a ton of autographs from the Dolphins. I'll never for get jogging alongside Larry Csonka after the Friday workout as he headed to the team bus. He signed the cover of my program.. My dad and my two older brothers all went, one played AFL for the Oilers and Raiders and the other was drafted by the Broncos but cut in camp.. Quite a weekend for a 13 year old... |
Amen..
They need to get their administrative staff sorted out badly...that team has been so poorly run for so long that it's not even funny.. It went downhill when Jimmy Johnson left....imho.. Tuna will show short term improvements, he always does, but he's not a long haul kind of guy... |

In college I'm a FSU fan. Live in Tallahassee and graduated from Florida State. I'm very happy with the job Jimbo Fisher is doing of turning us around. I'm a little concerned about our young line going up against GT's d line this week. I think our wr's are a mismatch for their corners though. Hopefully Ponder has time to throw..
In the pros I'm a Seahawk fan. Yeah, it's been a rough year. Injuries are killing us. At least we beat San Fran last week.. The UF/UG game is this weekend. Man, I hate to say it but I think Florida wins it. I'll be very happy to be wrong... |
Long time NY Giants fan in the pros..
Recently became PSU fan in the colleges, since I started making my kid's tuition payments there.. Was a good weekend for me last weekend.. |
I'm VERY much looking forward the the WVU FSU matchups coming up in 2011-2012. Hopefully both our squads are at full strength. When they announced the Auburn - WVU games, I didnt even consider the fact we both might be having down years lol..
I have to agree with you about that UF/UG game, I think the Tebows throttle em... |
News flash..
Cowboys TE Jason Witten would like to play through the pain and go up against the Giants D. You know... blocking, catching, running. Typical tight end stuff. All with a. Broken rib. , rather than take two weeks off to heal.. At this point, part of me would like to see him try........ |
That dude is a MAN! I broke a rib playing backyard football in college, and I didnt move for 3 months lol. Seriously though, ESPN did a little expose on him today, apparently this isnt the first time he's fought through an injury that would cripple most people...
Tough sure, I'll give him that. But one thing to be tough and another to think more about oneself than the team..
Meaning, does Witten really think that even with a broken rib he's a better TE, and therefore better for the team than the rest of the healthy depth chart?. By the way, dude, 17 pounds in 18 days is awesome progress... |
Apparently his coaches think he is. If he is willing to sacrifice, and his coaches feel he is still the best option, then he is..
Just my opinion. We will see if they ACTUALLY play him though, it might just be all talk... |
From what I've seen, he probably is better even with a broken rib. And I believe he's probably thinking more about the team than himself. Otherwise he would just lay out...
I hope so too. FSU has a lot of WVU connections in the coaching staff. WVU has a lot of Florida athletes (Doc Holliday will add to that between now and then). Funny thing is, the FSU game was part of a settlement with the Big East member schools vs ACC litigation. FSU viewed this non-conference series as a wasted away trip and there was speculation that FSU would buy out of the contract rather than "waste" a non-conference game on such an inferior opponent. Of course that mindset was back when the ACC was going to be the power conference of the US after BC, VaTech & Miami joined.
A win over WVU in these most recent years would have done wonders for a struggling FSU program.. I'm a little frustrated by the mounties this year, they're not playing up to potential. However, contrary to what the national media likes to portray, the Big East is still a very competitive conference. WVU is not as good as it normally has been but it handled a projected top ten ranked SEC Auburn team last week. More importantly, the Big East has performed very well in the last 3 BCS bowls (WVU hammered Georgia (SEC) in 2006, Wake Forest (ACC) got it's clock cleaned by Louisville in 2007, and last year the mighty Big 12's Oklahoma Sooners were dominated by WVU). Think if the ACC had it to do all over again they would have tried to lure WVU instead of BC?.. |
The O certainly hasn't been what we expected, but the D is ranked #11 in total defense so far, not so shabby for a squad with 8 new starters.
I think we get fully back on track this weekend with a stomping of Uconn, (ranked by the way.) I still cant believe this is PW's last year, we need to send him out with another BCS game... |
Hey guys.. I'm from St. Louis so I'm stuck with the Rams this year who aren't anything like they were earlier this decade. However I went to the rams - dallas game and it was insane... and I'm just glad they beat the skins as well..
My buddies and I do fantasy football and last weekend my boy westbrook just destroyed atlantas run defense. However, I ended up losing the matchup because Dallas Clark decided to have the game of a lifetime... awesome... |
News to me. Anything I've read this week are:.
A. Witten is pushing to play. B. Coaches are saying it's a decision for later, or gametime.. Uh, yikes. We'll just have to respectfully agree to disagree on that one.. Finding opportunities to "lay out" is typically not how NFL players exhibit selfishness. Usually it's playing (or trying to play) when they shouldn't.. ... |
Locally they are saying Whitten will not play, but some of the Sports Talk guys have been calling the Cowboys "soft" and including him in the mix. I went to Tennessee so I'm a huge Whitten fan, but I don't think he should play. The Cowboys have several key injuries now, but pushing things could just make it worse. They've been giving the 3rd string quarterback reps in practice. I think they are concerned Brad Johnson will get hurt playing against the Giants' D or possibly substituting if things get too far out of hand...
I dont think it's they think he will get hurt, but more that Bollinger gives them more oppertunities downfield..
Unless Wade Phillips has NO spine, and is letting Witten make decisions for him, he knows the situation and if feels he can go, he will. I didnt do a whole lot of research into the situation, I was just going off of what was said on here.. With all the medical proffesionals the cowboys employ, if he can play, he will.. But the point of the matter here is, my second favorite team is ANY team that is playing the Cowboys, so GO GIANTS!!!.. |
Cowboys coaches only need one spineJerry's. Two is too many..
... |
Man, Uconn is looking GOOD so far. Defense is strong, yet the playcalling by WVU hasn't looked to special. Havnt been keeping up with other scores yet, and wont until this game is over..
Just wanted to get the college football talk started!.. |
Ok, THATS the WVU I know and love. We OWN the third quarter lol..
Halftime score, Uconn 13 WVU 7.. 1:05 left in the third: Uconn 13 WVU 28. LOL.. |
Good weekend. WVU wins and Fraudriguez and the Wolverines are not bowl eligible...
And ND goes down to Pitt in OT. The only way that could have been better is if they tied and both lost lol...
