My plan encourages protein drinks. I love muscle max, max pro. I've been on a choc protein,.

Coffee.

, choc sf Torani,.

Peppermint.

FlavorIng kick lately. Yum! I usually have two a day of various variations. I also eat meat, cottage cheese, sometimes eggs, and cheese. My plan encourages 60-90 protein a day and I average in the 70's. Meat varies from day to day depending on what settles that day. Sometimes one meat one day doesn't settle and another day it does. I just go with the flow...

I get all my protein from food. My surgeon and nutritionist encourage not supplementing with powders and other artificial sources..

I am consuming about 70 grams a day, I track everything, it's too easy for me to head off the rails otherwise...

Apparently it gets easier to get 70-90 grams of protein in after being post op I'm assuming! I'm 4 weeks out and have never been able to get over 60! I run aroung 50-60 depending on if I'm working that day! My nut wants me to get 90 right now :( I do shakes and milk and just started purees but a shake alone will fill me up for 4 hours! This am I tried some eggbeaters with laughing cow chees and tolerated well! Last night pureed chilli! MMMMMM, but it's also hard to calculate the protein with something like that! Anyways, will keep trying! Do you all still keep a journal? I hate keeping track but I try to right now until I am on a permanent schedule! Anyways, nice post!..

I am about 5 weeks post-op and still on "mushy foods" so my Medifast diet consists mainly of:.

Protein shakes (Oh Yeah! ready to drink, 14 oz. = 32 grams of protein ... YUMMY!), cheese, tofu, beans, eggs, cottage cheese. I am going to cook up some of Shelly's spinach feta bites tonight, get some variety in. I am also loving meatballs right now - turkey made really moist (extra egg and some soft veggies mixed in) with some mushroom gravy, and my ialian beef meatballs with lots of yummy tomato sauce. No pasta, but I gotta get my Italian roots in somewhere...

Of course meat and low-fat cheese, but when I can't get in enough protein from eating, then I took someone else's advice and buy protein shots. The best ones I found are sold at Costco in a pack of 12. They have about 25 grams of protein per shot and have 3 grams of fiber. They have about 110 calories per shot too. The taste is okay, but protein shots are never going to taste excellent!..
