My first question is Do any of you know some good kimchee Medifast recipes? Looking forward for any comment. Another question... My husbands insurancek will cover the stomach skin removal. Got my letter in the mail yesterday I am thrilled.I am going to call tomorrow and ask about the thigh lift as well maybe they will do it at the same time. The doc thought for sure that I would have to pay out of pocket. I am not sure when I will have it done.

I seem to be losing some still.

However will be 9mo out on the 24th and I have heard we can generally still lose up to 18months out. I am thinking maybe he will want me to weight closer to a year out. After that it's a new set of girls for me.yahoo!Don't think my insurance will cover that but I am asking anyway. Thanks for all your encouragement and well wishes you are the best. Hugs Angie..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

Not only do you still lose, but your skin shrinks alot. you don't want plastic.

Surgery.

Then have issues with pockets and lumps. be a little patient and make sure all has stabilized..

Congrats ,, lots of insurance will cover that one as it can be a medical issure...

Great! If you have it done at the same time usually you only have to pay a little extra.. since you are already covered for anesthesia, hospital/clinic fee and recovery portion..

9 months seems really early though... I'd wait as long as I could... I had mine at 16 months and it was still a bit too early. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons suggests maintain a stable weight for at least 3 months....

Best wishes on the next phase of this incredible journey!.

What did you have to do to get them to cover it? Were you having issues?..

Congratulations, Angie. That's a huge benefit to be able to get that covered. However, as others have said, I'd suggest waiting until at least 18 months post-op.......

I am so excited for you Angie. I have gone online and looked at the pictures of the results and they are fantastic... my case manager said it is cheaper to do the tummy and the boobs in a one shot deal by the way...

My insurance company will also cover it but the tummy tuck has to be performed by Dec 31 of the year the RnY is done so that may not be the best thing. Guess I'll have to wait and see...

I saw my surgeon last Wednesday and his office is submitting an authorization request for me to have a consult with the plastic surgeon. Did you have to meet any certain criteria to get the abdominalplasty covered? Do you have a PPO or HMO? With my insurance, I know it has to be medically necessary for it to be approved. Congratulations - that's really awesome...
