Got a question, hope someone can answer... Do the Acai Nutrisystem diet pills work? Thanks for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... Today I had my hair cut, it was the first time in 2 years. I had 14" sandy blond locks to donate too kemo patients to make wigs with. After the hair cut I shaved off my goatee..

Later I went to friends house who made the comment that "I never realized how much weight you've lost, you look 10 years younger" my wife said about the same thing but she only gave me credit for 5.

Anyway after that feel good NSV we went to the local Centennial store because it was time to upgrade our phones and re-new contracts. I won't boar you with details but after adding the 2 new lines and exchanging our phones our monthly bill stayed pretty much the same. Except thanks ot a great customer service rep, we walked out with a $600 promotional gift certificate at Best Buy (last day of the promotion and I had no idea it was even going on)..

After he told us we had qualified for this my wife looked at me and said "you know this is Karma, you donated your hair to make a cancer patient happy and we wind up with a $600 gift certificate". I guess I'm not all that spiritual or anything and it's not like I necessarily believe in such things and believe me, it's not that I was looking for anything like that in return, hell the NSV would have been more than enough, but you know alot of times things tend to work out like that..

Thank you for your gift to cancer patients Mojo! My mom is a cancer survivor and I can't tell you how much things like this mean, not just to the patients but the families too..

And congrats on the gift certificate! You have made life much brighter for at least one more person in the world and it's extremely cool that you got a double blessing!..

What a wonderful thing to do, Mojo. Yes..karma is very real. Good for you! I lost my 18 month old grandson to leukemia, but remember one of the little girls, on the pediatric oncology floor, getting a wig and she was absolutely thrilled. I can still see her smile..

Thanks again!..

Thanks all, I started growing my hair back about 2 years ago. I had no intentions of letting it get that long but about a year or so in to growing it my daughter was sent to Iraq by the military..

I made a pledge then that if the man upstairs would see her home safe I would in turn donate to locks of love. She returned safely in August. At that time my wife measured the pony and we though it was a bit shy of what was needed in length so I let it grow until now..

Terry207 & LA DAVE it goes beyond comprehension to imagine the grief of losing a loved ones especialy as young as your grand daughter to this or any illnes, I cannot express my sympathie enough to you and your familys..

To imagine that a child will receive my donation as a wig to make things a little more bearable in that situation puts a pretty big lump in my throat..

Mojo:.

I'm happy to hear that your daughter has made it back from Iraq. As a veteran of a the first Gulf War which is nowhere near the kind of war thats going on over there now...I would like to send a sincere thanks for your daughters service to our country. Its a wonderful thing to step up when duty calls. Mostly, I'm happy that she is home safe and sound. I just wish that all of our service members could be home safe and sound. Its a touch job.

The world could use more people such as yourself. Continue doing good.......and good will continue in your life. Gods speed..

Mojo, thank your daughter for her service. And thank YOU for your hair donation! My friend Tricia is a breast cancer survivor and she received a wig from Locks of Love when she lost her hair to chemo. That wig enabled her to continue working, because she felt "normal". She could look in the mirror and see herself, not the cancer. It helped give her strength for the fight. AND it helped calm her young daughter's fears, since Mommy was able to look like Mommy..

So you did a wonderful thing, and there is a child or woman out there who will be able to feel normal in the fight thanks to you...
