Yeah, it's really impressive that they can maintain the rates of loss they do. However, it is very hard for me to keep interest in the show when they cry allllllll the time...

I never really watched it prior to this year, but have watched it faithfully this season. Seeing the body transformations is motivating but I get tired of all the crying and fake drama after a while. Last night all the contestants went home for a week and you got to see their families reaction to their changes. I'm looking forward to that in a few months as I started my diet after Thanksgiving which is the last time any of my family members saw me...

Only time I ever felt like crying was when I had seen what I had done to myself. Getting all emotional about correcting something one did to oneself in the first place seems like a vaginal thing to do...

Im not a regular viewer but I love the "before and After" episodes when they have truly successful contestants. I guess those are usually at the end of a season. Thats really inspiring to see how the people have changed their bodies and their lives so drastically. I also saw an episode where they had an "eat this not that" style survivor trivia challenge, I found that informative...

Amen to that! What an exploitation of fat people and an unrealistic program. I mean, real people still have to work, take care of their families, etc. If we could go to a place where all we had to do was eat someone's diet plan food and had time to work out 5 hours a day it would be unrealistic to NOT lose weight. But we all live in the real world (except for BellaVitaBoy.

), so we have to learn to make decisions all for ourself. I do have their cookbook however, and it does have some excellent recipes that fit into maintenance...

Don't leave out about having a personal trainer working with you constantly..

Glad I don't watch the show, I have more important things to watch like Housewives of Orange County..

Actually, the trainers only come in a couple of times a week. The rest of the time they're on their own. They get "homework" from the trainers, but it's up to them to fulfill it..

I watch. I'm a sucker for a good reality competition show. Besides, there's generally one or two fat chicks that become hot by the end of the season.....

Haha.... thats my personal motivation right there....

I love the show, because it inspires me to keep on track. I cant watch it with a burger in hand and think 'damn I havent worked out once this week'. Id feel too hypocritical..

The drama and game playing is the only thing I dont like about it my main reason I dont like most reality shows. But I do like the emotionality (is that a word?) that comes out from these people making a dramatic life change..

I don't really have time to sit down and watch TV, but I always try to watch it. Sometimes it repeats on another channel later at night and I do try to catch that. I love to see how people change their lives and it really motivates me to keep going so that I can reach my goal too, but I don't think it's too real because of the amount they push them to lose weight in a short period of time for the show. I guess most people realize that it isn't a normal weight loss rate, but there are some who may have unrealistic expectations...
