I think I'm going to come up short of my goal by one pound or so, as well..

I weigh in tomorrow, but I doubt I'll lose the 4 lbs I need..

Oh well, I can't complain about my weight loss on Medifast so far...it's been a lifesaver..

I'll stay for the next challenge! Anything that helps me maintain my focus is welcome...

Hey Everyone,.

Happy Monday. I have such a head cold right now I am going crazy. Trying to stay focused at work while blowing my nose every five minutes..

I was really bad last week and blew it again. Argh why do I keep doing that. On the same note, my sister started the plan at the begining of January and has stayed 100% OP the entire time. I am so proud of her. Now I have to get my *** back in gear and stick to it. I dont' understand why it is so much harder this time around..

But it is another week and I will pick myself back up and try again! On a better note, I have manged to down 80oz of water already today..

I think I'm getting a massage anyway. :-).

I'm undecided about the next challenge. When I do the challenge I'm weighing another time during the week and I'm not sure that's good for me. And I spend a little more time online. I'm going to have to think about it.....

Congrats Robin!! You can report either Sunday or Monday... Sunday I couldn't put much weight on my leg so I waited until this morning, no change since last Tuesday but was still a great week in total. And I went well past my goal of 15 pounds and hit 20 instead. I am mildly stuck in this 220 range and a little annoyed by it but sticking with it... the weight will leave and I feel better so I want to see a thin me. I am impatiently waiting for people to leave my building so that I can go home..

Lisa, I am sorry you are being challenged like this, but you can do it!!!.

I am in for the next challenge... it is great to have the extra motivation and accountability...

You can do a challenge even with little weight left to lose. The biggest percentage of the points is in the staying on-plan and drinking the water..

Helps to keep the loss... or stable weight and staying on-plan. Just sayin.....

answered Apr 30 at 23:29

Kristopher's gravatar image

I hear ya... It is hard to stay on-plan after you have gone off... Especially if the weight has gone down. Cause you feel good, you don't have as much "determination" and it's just plain hard..

I have a friend that had that trouble... and I have gone through it too...

Sorry your mind has been playing the game on you Lisa. Hopefully you have a better week..

Ugghhhh.... So many cravings today! So I just ate a bar, made PB choco brownies... and hoping it goes away.

I haven't had cravings hit me yet. I had first TOM last week and was hungrier..

I chose not to weigh myself last week because of TOM although I would have had good reason to lose small or gain a little I get discouraged very easily and my DH hid the scale so that I wait until Friday this week for weigh in day..

I will do the water war tomorrow. I have been doing my 15 minutes on the treadmill first thing in the morning with 15 minutes of exercise ball for toning...

Hi. I haven't been on for a few days. I have been at the hospital all day everyday with my Dad. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but my Dad had lung cancer. He went downhill really fast this past week. I have five brothers all of them made it home to talk to him.

His plane got delayed so he didnt make it in until after 3:00pm. At around 5:30 they took my dad back home so we could take care of him with home hospice care. He got settled in at 6:00 and the hospice nurse came to give us instructions. Well my dad had his own plans. His family was all together and he was home.

He passed away at 6:35. I watched him go. That was the hardest thing I have ever faced in all of my 43 years of life..

Needless to say I did not do to well this week on program. I really did try for a while, but just couldnt. I didnt mean to damper anyone's day, I just needed to check in. I don't know when I will be able to get back on again. I have a lot to do this week. I will however try to get back on track with MF.

I will check back in when I can. I miss all of you...

Some great losses going on in this thread. I would love to be a part of the next challenge. Today was my "day one". I got through, and so badly want to lose 70 lbs by this coming August..

I had to find a program where I can lose weight and not neccessarily work out too intensely...and Medifast seemd to fit that criteria. I love working out, but I can't right now because I have hip bursitis(inflammation of the bursa sac), and I'm working with a physical therapist to help me through. But I've had to eliminate all and any intense exercise except some light cycling..

I'm excited to read so many success stories of consistent weight loss. I can't wait to lsoe those 70 lbs that I've been carrying around for much to long..

It's nice to be here, checking out different teams. and the energy each one has..

I commend you all on your successes thus far..

If it's okay I'd like to join you in your next challenge?..

Indra, welcome to team purple......

Jess, I can relate to so many of the things you said in your blog. I think that for most of us, yeah our fat is our insulation. It lets us get comfortable and we don't have to work on much. As our body changes we will have to know that at times, someone may pay attention that never did. I am not comfortable with attention from men or women. I never have been.

I'm not doing water war today since hubby and I are going away for the weekend.....Yea...

Yahooooo Kim! Embrace that headache because it is your body heading into the fat burning stage Ketosis! Go ahead and take a tylenol for it if you'd like. I get reall bangers too - just want to bang your head on the wall so it won't hurt so much type. Drink lots of water and be sure to eat at least every 3 hours and try to never be hungry - you don't lose weight when you are hungry (according to the doctor on Wednesday's doctor's support call). Water water water! Cheers!..

Happy Friday everyone,.

Welcome all our newbies..

Jessica - I can totally relate to your blog. I think most of us are here because we use food as our enabler. It is much easier to keep eating than to discipline ourselves to be healthy. We use food as our crutch..

MF is only part of the solution to our problem. We now have to find non food replacements to solve our problems. Understanding that we can't go back to the way we were before Medifast is so important. I have put 30 pounds back on because I went right back to using food to relieve my stress. I know I can't do that. I have to find something to replace the food.

Life is easier that way but once I got bigger the self loathing started again. I ask myself every day "Why did you let me get so fat?" and the answer is because it was easier than the daily struggle of being healthy and fit! I know that weight will always be a battle for me and that I am worth the constant fighting to stay fit and healthy. I just have to keep reminding myself that it is worth the struggle...

Hi Denise: I'm glad that you mention that about this team...not to big, but still some activity going on everyday. Some other teams I checked out are just a bit to big. You're doing great too with your weight loss ...way to go..

I don't have wii. But it looks intriguing..

But right now my physical therapist has okayed that I do the cycle for 10 minutes per day, plus her exercises she's given me. Nothing to strenuous, so that the inflammation can go down. I'm being smart this time, and really listening and doing what I'm supposed to do :-) Instead of being stubborn and exercising intensely like I usually do. This bursitis is causing me to limp a bit, so I must do the right thing...

Ok... It's time for a Q&A again. I don't like to do them too often - so we don't burn folks out in doing the same 'ol things... but since we have some newbies.... lets give it a whirl. Gonna throw some new questions out there.

Lets see if it works..

Directions: Post answers to the following questions, and then add one question to the list. The next person is to answer all the questions and the new one posted.... continue on... and the last person to check in will have a lot of questions to answer! LOL Feel free if you answered the one with fewer questions to answer the newer questions too. It is fun to start a few Q&A because it opens it up to those who may be too shy to ask something... and gets the dialogue going..

1. What is your profession/job (yes, SAHM is a job!)?.

2. What is your favorite L&G (Ok - this is an oldie question... but for newbies it helps them get some ideas of some great L&G meals)?.

3. What was the Medifast food you disliked most that you have found a new love for... and was there something you did to it to make it your favorite food?.

4. If you have been on program for a while to have a NSV... what was the most exciting NSV you have had? If you just started on program... what is the NSV you are most looking forward too? (NSV = Non-scale victory, something that isn't weight/scale/# related).

5. Add the next question here.....

Ok... hope this will be a fun one to do!.

Looking forward to everyone's answers. I will post my answers to get us going!..

1. What is your profession/job (yes, SAHM is a job!)?.

I am a SAHM with a contract job for AOL. Go to.

And take a survey. If you ever have problems email "Jan" and I will get back to you!! LOL!.

2. What is your favorite L&G (Ok - this is an oldie question... but for newbies it helps them get some ideas of some great L&G meals)?.

Wow, I have so many now (didn't when I started). I love roasted Cauliflower, love egg beaters and the big portions, love shiratiki noodles!.

3. What was the Medifast food you disliked most that you have found a new love for... and was there something you did to it to make it your favorite food?.

I didn't like the chili the first time and love it now! I love the oatmeal too and am addicted to the pancakes with it (just ate one!).

4. If you have been on program for a while to have a NSV... what was the most exciting NSV you have had? If you just started on program... what is the NSV you are most looking forward too? (NSV = Non-scale victory, something that isn't weight/scale/# related).

Everyone now just tells me how good I look, and the funniest is when men tell me (or try to tell me in a polically correct way) and when men try to tell my husband without sounding perverted!.

5. Add the next question here.....

How do you keep track of your food and your life? Any great organizing tips?.

3. What was the Medifast food you disliked most that you have found a new love for... and was there something you did to it to make it your favorite food?.

I'm a newbie, but yuck, to the oatmeals. tastes better made into muffins..

4. If you have been on program for a while to have a NSV... what was the most exciting NSV you have had? If you just started on program... what is the NSV you are most looking forward too? (NSV = Non-scale victory, something that isn't weight/scale/# related).

I'm looking forward to having lots of energy..

5. How do you keep track of your food and your life? Any great organizing tips?.

I just write down the times that I'm going to eat, and check it off when I'm done..

6. What allowed snack do you find works best, if hungry between meals?..

I was hoping I could join your challenge? I have never participated in a challenge before and this sounds like fun! I think it will make me more accountable then doing it alone....

Sooo funny!! I don't think I would have considered that a NSV, but it is! I am also finding my changing attitude is a HUGE non-scale victory! I thought for just a second before climbing into that structure that maybe I wouldn't fit, but then I decided I would be fine and do it anyway! And I DID..

Final weigh in for the challenge is at:.

The next challenge will start in a couple of weeks. If you are interested in helping with the challenge... ie being the stat keeper and reporter for the challenge (the overall one)... please let me, Chick or Deb know. They are looking for some folks who would like to assist with the challenges...
