Got a question... Does Shapely Secrets, diet pills with Medifast, or NutriSystem really work? Many thanks for any comment. Second question.. Don't know if any of you here are from Quebec, Canada. I'm from Montreal..

For.

Surgery.

In Quebec you can pay close to 30k out of pocket or wait 6 to 7 years for the GBS and have the gouverment pay for it..

I'm coming close to my 4th year. I am scheduled (i thought Jan Feb)..

Today I get a letter saying I need to attend a ".

Knowledge.

Surgery" seminar on JAN 21 to prepare me for the.

Surgery.

I was hoping to have my.

Surgery.

By then! The nurse did promise me Jan/Feb. The Dr said not before another 6 months..

I guess the wait is taking it's toll on me..

I'm.

Reading.

About everyone here and hoping I can also share my.

Surgery.

Experiences (as a slimmer me).

Sorry, I'm just.

Venting.

! I just want to get it over with..

Of course! although you might wanna make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm it as I am not quite sure. Better yet, why don't you ask the Medifast guys because they can answer you better...

The wait can really be hard, but use the time to start to make positive changes in your Medifast diet and activities: decaffeinate yourself. Find some protein powders or beverages that you like. Start a.

Walking.

Program. Use the wait to help yourself make changes that will serve you well post.

Surgery.

It may be long, but at 30k, it's probably worth the wait!..

Hi Karamia23, although I do have insurance for prescriptions, dental,.

Thankyou Farmgirl392, you're right. I have to start now and the operation will prolong it for the rest of my life. I was.

Venting.

Yesterday..

I just need to get off feeling sorry and just be happy I am indeed getting the operation..

Read it and weep! That is just a medical system in need of free enterprise. What a complete sham! What kind of a joke is that?.

We are all lucky to be American!.

LW don't be offended because I love all you canadian girls here but cannot keep still when I see how messed up socialized medicine really is!.

Just sayin Lu..

Lu trying not to be offended, lol. I know this would not be the place for that.

Discussion.

I have family living in different provinces all across Canada and they all have free health care. I have family living in the states and they do not. My sister was almost dieing with pnenonia when she finaly broke down and went to the dr in Illionis and it cost her 200. for that visit because her husbands insurance did not cover it. The insurance he has costs him 75.00 a week to have it, thats not free at all. What do middle class people do that can't affored that kind of money? I do love my American friends and family however I feel very lucky to be Canadian as you do to be American..

Bless your heart, I can sympothize with you, the waiting is the worst part. I only had to wait 6 months but it was the longest six months of my life. Hang in there, it will be worth it someday...

Lol It isn't the socialized medicine that is screwed up just the quebec part. most provinces gbs is covered by medicare, which is free in canada. I am getting mine totally free , and I am also getting the skin removed as our Socialized medicine deems it a medical condition! We don't have to be at the insurance s beck and call. We do have a wait time but mostly so we go into the education part of it seriously..

I am from Alberta thoughI know Ontario has a good plan as well...

I am happy for you that your approval came through afterall!.

When you have to wait on ANYTHING for whatever length of time - Try to think backwards the same length of time to remember how quickly THAT time has passed. Waiting is my worst thing too. But that works for me!.

For anyone interested...I wouldn't be able to have my GBS on 1-11-11 if it weren't for the great "socialized" medical system in the good ol' USA.... It's called Welfare!! Our government realizes that even poor people have a right to live and to not be in unnecessary pain...
