Got a question... Does the Medifast Diet really work ? [[details]]? Hoping for any response. My 2nd question... This seems like the right place to post and ask this question LOL (since we all have a LOT to lose, no pun intended).....

When Im done with my weightloss journey I wouldve lost 200 pounds...(roughly) and well we already know that we are going to have this extra skin...so I was wondering how many are you considering getting a tummy tuck when at goal...but not right away...I knwo I plan onto.....

I also may plan on having a "body lift" from the waist up they do it..im not sure...but thats what going through my head right now....but as we know SPANX is currently my BFF right now heehee......

Also...saggy skin is better than being FAT!.

I watched on some you tube videos of where people lost a lot of weight and saw the saggy skin the were left with....it really wasnt that bad...so I'm not sweating over it like I did before!!!..

Yup, but you might want to make sure and wait for another member here to confirm my answer as I am unsure. Better yet, why don't you give a call to the Medifast guys because they can give you an answer better...

I'm thinking about doing away with the granny arms and my inner thighs and the girls majorly have to be lifted. I'm hoping they'll all straighten themselves out on there own - but if not that's what I'm doing too...

My goal reward is a breast lift. I am hoping that I am still 'young enough' that my body can deal with the extra skin problem...

I'm young, but with the amount of weight I intend on losing (200 lbs total) and years of yo-yo dieting, I definitely plan on having plastic surgery. I'm guessing I'll probably need a body lift. I may need to have my arms done as well, but I've seen the scars for that and it looks pretty bad. I definitely would like a breast lift. As the scale goes down, those are, too. Haha...

I know it's going to be expensive, but I've already started saving up and I know a lot of plastic surgeons have payment plans. I, too, have heard that you have to be at goal for 1 year first. I would love nothing more than for all my skin to shrink up, but I have to be realistic, so I'm not too disappointed later on. I can't wait to be at goal!! I'm 1/3 of the way there!..

I'm definately thinking tummy tuck. the girls need to be hauled back into place. I don't know about my arms and thighs, but the arm scars are significant. I'm trying to do what I can with exercise to build some muscle to fill in some of the space, but who knows!.

I'm also thinking about lipo when I reach goal for a few areas (back fat, that bulge over the bra under my arms), but that will depend on what's going on when I get to goal. Still have a 100 pounds to go, so things will do what they do!.

The cost and the recovery process are scary, but this is important for my well being. I don't know about anyone else, but I have skin problems where fat folds over already, and it doesn't look like the folds are going to go away...

I have lost 70 pounds from my highest weight, and have you-yoed my whole life (first diet in the 6th grade...) Anyway, I just scheduled my Arm Lift for April 25 (bye-bye bat wings!). Tummy Tuck is next, but will have to wait for more leave time to accrue at work, and the whole $$ thing too.

I have maintained my weight for 1 year too. All the other times I have lost significant weight (two other times) I gained it back very quickly, so the 1 year thing was huge for me...

Ugh that is constantly something I worry about. My stomach is the biggest part of my body.. So I know I'm going to have to do something about that when I finally lose this weight!..

I would certainly love to get a tummy tuck and raise the "old saggy women" back to girl status!!! LOL.

I have another 106 lbs to go, so I will be saving $$ as well. By the way I am loving my new Proform treadmill! It has I-Fit so you can change the incline, workouts and to keep from getting bored there are many more I-fit workout to purchase. I am far from that but am walking a half mile twice a day as of now and my new recumbent bike will be here next week. Life is fun again and I will surely be ready to have the plastic surgery to allow me to show off all of my hard work and perseverance!..

I only had a little over 50 lbs. to lose (and lost) so I don't need any plastic surgery really. My upper arms still look bad, but not enough for me to spend the money and time in surgery to have it taken care and then some of you mentioned serious scarring ... not! I have been looking into the LifeStyle Lift which is for the double chin. That's one area that REALLY bothers me because when I smile that double dipper still hangs down and I just don't like it. I've heard it's not too expensive and you don't get knocked out to do it ...

That's my kind of surgery!.

I had a tummy tuck 5 years ago to correct some nasty c-section carnage (I wasn't sewn back up nicely...at all).

I love the way my stomach looks in comparison to when I had it done but the nerves never healed right... I can't feel areas of my stomach, and it feels weird if the DH touches them...

It is not cheap, that is for sure! I heard that the national average for bat wings.

Was $3,900 Now that I am having it done, I assume that is just the surgeons fees, because there is also the Anesthesia and Facility Fees to pay. That being said, the surgery for me is $6,000 and the fees added another $1,885 - BUT, I got a 15% discount on the surgery, so I saved $900 (that is the first thing I told DH - I Saved $900!). The Dr. I am using has worked on two of my neighbors who are thrilled with their results, and he has been voted "best of Baltimore" many times, so having that confidence in the Dr. is worth more to me too..

Oh, if anyone wants to impress at a Cocktail party - the actual surgery I am having is Brachioplasty Bilateral! I can hardly spell that!..

Mindless Games - the whole nerve thing happened to me when I had a C-section with my daughter. There are parts of my stomach near the scar that I can't feel. Very weird. Same thing happened with parts of my forehead, I was in a car accident 10 years ago and had some cuts and glass stuck in my upper forehead and in my hairline. You can't tell now - the scars are gone, but when I rub my finger over my hairline, it's numb and I feel a weird tingling down near my eyebrow - like the nerves are confused!!!.

I am definitely considering a tummy tuck, me and hubby already discussed it. Right now I still have the 'overhang' from my pregnancy and C-section. I can't imagine what it will look like when the fat is gone - probably even worse!!! I don't want a bikini bod, but I want to be able to wear pants without pulling a shirt down over the bulge below my belly button. And naked I look absolutely horrific. I'm hoping once I get to goal it won't look AS bad.... but although I'll be smaller, the skin is stretched for good, I can tell. My belly is definitely the worst area on my body for me...

*grin*.

Before I had abdominoplasty I had accidentally zipped my stomach up in my pants. That was kind of the catalyst that made me decide to go have it done..

I think any time the integrity of the body is breached your going to have some issues..

The area I'm numb at is in about a one inch wide line from where your actual stomach is to the incision..

To this day I am glad I did it.

And if I had it to do over I'd do it again...but I would be better about my aftercare...

I am new on this journey but know that I will definently have a tummy tuck and a breast lift. My DH and I have already talked about it and he knows I wouldn't be comfortable with all that extra skin. I still have a lonnnng way to go. I also had 3 c-section births in four years so I know about the overhang that is being talked about. It is the one thing on my body that I can't stand and it is really bad. I was hoping that since I didn't grow up overweight, the skin would go back nicely, but the more people I talk to that have had c-sections say they have similar issues.

Surgery for me is a must!!..

This is a definite possibility for myself also. I have to wait to see what my body decides to do with itself as I shrink before I can say what all I will have done. Tummy tuck and lift or enhancement of my chest is probably going to be a must but I am hoping that the thighs and arms will be OK by time I am done...

I'm there! I had twins, full term, so my stomach looks like a road map! I think a breast lift is a sure thing too. Looked into what they call a body lift, legs...love too, but that's getting up there in $$$. We shall see, one step at a time...

I would love to have a body lift/tummy tuck but I dont think i'll ever be able to afford it. but I do intend to get my arms done, I already have bat wings developing. I keep having Nightmares about looking like a shar pei when all is said and done. I know I am going to have alot of excess skin but it's still better then caring around 100+ pounds of fat day after day...
