My 1st question is: GUIDELINES IN QUANTIFYING Medifast recipes- CULINARY? Looking forward for any response. Another question... So I had the bypass laproscopic 4 1/2 weeks ago ,,, the one incision that had the bigger tool is now infected ,,, it's been red for about 2 weeks I showed dr and he said to keep an eye on it... well it hurts to touch and it's oozing ( sorry gross) it's red and all colors.. I called dr just now and he told me to put peroxide on it and if it's oozing tomorrow to call and he will give me an anitibiotic... more pills to go with all the vitamins lol.

Anyone else have any incision problems???..

It has been infected for 2 weeks and he wants to wait another day to start antibiotics? Um, that sounds like a VERY bad idea. Infections can go south pretty quickly. Any way you could get him to call a prescription in today? If not, is there a same day clinic open in your area? Perhaps they could get you started on some antibiotics today..

Im not a doctor and didnt have any problems with infections after.

Surgery.

, but I know they arent anything to mess around with..

Hope.

Things get better soon!!.

This happened to me the day after I came home from the hospital I had this bad smell and the incision and it oozed. I went to the ER and they put me on an IV antibiotic and kept me over night which they did not need to do lol. but I would just go in and get the IV antibiotic..

My surger was nov 15 and I had an infection a week out as well. I caught mine immediately and they opened my incision to drain it. I am still "draining" but it seems to be closing up and healing. dont put that off even if the doc says to "keep an eye" on it. infections are serious matters...

Take care of yourself and get treatment for the infection. You're at a rough enough period in the GBS process and you don't need something like an infection to send you in backward spirals. I had an incision infection after my.

Hysterectomy.

Around 4 wks out and I ended up having to go in for medical treatment and packing daily, for a week had I sought treatment at the first notice, I'd have voided all that..

Good luck and do the best you can for your body!.

My hubby had one site that got infected (where the JP drain was). My sister was in from AZ when he had.

Surgery.

I went to visit her and help at my Dad's house we were doing some remodeling. He went to his parent's house post op for the week, (I know I am not winning any wife of the year awards for that move). I as a nurse would have been able to take care of it. His mom gagged everytime she looked at it. His dad refused to look at it, so he was trying to take care of it himself. No big deal right? I took care of mine.

He took.

Amoxicillin.

For 10 days and it cleared it right up. Wash it with unscented soap and water. Keep it clean and dry. Cover it with a dry gauze to protect it and call him back if it doesn't look better. It could jusst be superficial (top layer of skin) or could be deeper, don't mess around with it!.

My incision wound kept me hospitalized nine of the first 12 days. it was a monster. this also caused that incision site to take 10 weeks to heal...it's better now, but man I thought that thing would never heal up. amazingly, I will, in time, still not carry a scar...

Yuck! Sorry to hear you are having problems. I had two sites that were getting irritated by my pants and I tried to keep them clean and dry. They finally healed..

Good luck!..
