Quick question... Has anyone ever tried mega green tea with Medifast? Many thanks for any answer. Another question... Hi all, Im new to the group, a friend at a support group told me about this page..

I am currently on my.

Liquid diet.

, since December 2, for my.

Surgery.

On December 16 (woohoo), although the Medifast diet has not been easy, especially caring for a 1 year old and preparing her Medifast food as well as my Husbands daily, I have managed so far =).

I am wondering if I will be okay for Family to come over on Christmas and hang out, I will be at that point 9 days out of.

Surgery.

For GB. Please let me know what to expect that soon, and if I should keep the day just to my husband and daughter or if I will be able to handle family coming over to exchange gifts..

Thanks for any and all advice!.

Happy Holidays!!..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can answer it..

I felt good at 9 days (pain wise), but man was I tired! If you can really just let it go - you know, the prep we do for visitors - cleaning, cooking, & fussing and if your crew is the sort that will bring the party with them & clean it up when they.

Leave.

, a couple of hours would probably be fine. If not it may be kinder to yourself to meet up at some one else's house, where you don't have to worry about prep & clean up and can.

Leave.

When you start to fade...

Hi Candice, welcome to the group. I say Amen to what everyone else has said here. You don't want to be having to do a lot of cleaning, cooking and fussing that soon after.

Surgery.

No lifting. You'll need to rest frequently, too. So let the family serve you, and it should be fine. Also make sure you feel free to excuse yourself when it becomes too much and go take a.

Nap.

Best wishes......

Welcome to the site. I have learned a lot from the people on this site. Congratulations on having your WLS. I agree with everyone else, do what you feel like doing and put yourself first this holiday season. Company can be great, but if you are like me and most women I know, it is easy to over do trying to make everything perfect. Accept the help of your family and enjoy the holiday.

I am still awaiting insurance approval and.

Hope.

To join you soon on the losers bench..

Happy Holidays.

Congrats and what a great Christmas present to give yourself! At 9 days out, if they bring all the fixings with them and don't expect you to do the cookinig, cleaning, etc. I sparkling clean. Order take out chinese if you have to or get one of those dinners from the local market already prepared. Get some pretty paper plates so clean up is easy on everyone. Make it a low key day, and ecplain to them ahead of time that if you get tired and need to go lay down for a.

Nap.

You truly mean no offense, you are just adjusting and recouping..

If they are ok with those rules and want to come for a couple of hours and exchange gifts and play a couple of games with the 1 yr old, by all means, have them over..

If on the other hand, it would make you crazy thinking you have to have the house spotless and a huge meal waiting for them. I say skip it and let them gather at someone else's house!.

Just my rambling thoughts!.

Welcome!.

Laura.

PS let hubby fix his own food! That way the only one you have to worry about besides you is the 1 year old. When I did my liquid fast, I made sure there was stuff in the fridge/cupboard/freezer that was easy for my hubby and teens to fix and told them they were on their own! Worked for me and they didn't starve. They ate hamburger helper, burgers and tater tots, skillet meals, sandwhiches, and loved it the whole time!..

Physical is not the concern upon which I would focus. At nine days, I was in a lot of transition, and while I might have been able to handle a brief visit, without the whole Medifast food thing to deal with, I certainly would not host!.

I would have been poor company for a long, boisterous family interaction, complete with Medifast food and booze, etc. It's a lot to take on, especially with a thousand questions..

I would take it a little at a time...Maybe a less stressful Christmas eve type scenario?..

Thank you all for all of your thoughts and feedback. I have been playing the day over and over in my head, good day & bad day. My mom cooks at her house normally, she just thought it would be a little easier on our family if she came here to cook so that I could rest if needed. I just don't want to be overwhelmed on Christmas. I will not have to cook nor clean, my mother is a god send and will do this, along with my husband. I just have to be able to "hang out" for a couple of hours.

Nap.

, or shower while they were eating..

I appreciate all the feedback, and I will let you know what I decide, I told my Mom that I would make a decision the second or third day out of.

Surgery.

..

I am hoping for a quick recovery and.

Hope.

That I have little to no complications. I will keep you all updated on my progress! And please do keep in touch....

Thanks and happy holidays!! =)..

Candice, for me..my family was a Godsent too. My daughter and children came to my house for the first two weeks after.

Surgery.

As I sat and watched my family going about their business around me...I only felt blessed for their love and caring about me. I healed! They did not let me do one thing. I just baised and glowed in that unconditional love. I pray you have that. And if you do, heal girl. Let your family's love wrap itself around you and you heal.

Life is good, girl...live it!..

LOL. You'll be just fine by Christmas. Actually your family will be facinated sp with yhe amount of Medifast food you don't eat. This journey will always have a far more harmonius outcome when those you love are around to watch the melting away of your great big body. You will not see it as they will and you'll just love the looks on their faces..

Good luck keep everything simple and repeatable..

Just sayin Lu..

Hi Candice, Welcome to the group!!! You will find great people with great advice on here..

I am 8 days PO and I am still very tired. Not sleepy tired but just tuckered out. I agree with what others say on here, let them bring Christmas to you. I feel great otherwise. I don't have any pain what so ever (unless I take a big gulp of water). Taking showers even wear me out.

I literally feel so good, that I think I am doing too much...then I pay for it..

Good Luck and Happy Holidays!!!.

It sounds like having everyone over will actually be easier on you than having to get ready to go out. Everyone has given you great advice. I only have one suggestion to add.make it a pajama party!!.

Thank you ALL so much! I am so happy that I have joined this group, not only have I learned so much these last few days by.

Reading.

Everyones posts, but everyone has been so kind in answering my worries about post op. I will keep in touch with all of you and let you know my progress as my journey continues..

I am leaning toward having my family at my house for Christmas and hopefully everything will go great. My mother and husband both assure me that they will do all the cooking/cleaning and allow me to relax and not stress about a thing!.

Thank you everyone for all of your feedback...What a WONDERFUL bunch you are!! :-)..
