Quick question... Has anyone had any sucess with Medifast? Thanks for any answer. My other question... Not trying to exclude anyone but I work in an office environment - you know what that means - I sit at a desk and work..

I have a question - How fast after.

Surgery.

Did you get back to work?.

1) One hour after sugery - there was a deadline I had to complete..

2) One day after - my master boss would beat me if I did not show up..

3) One week after,.

4) Two weeks after.

5) Three weeks after.

6) Four weeks after.

7) 5-6 weeks, I was resting and felt I could not get back to work sooner..

Or the last one.

8) I was feeling great the whole time, I just wanted my boss to pay me to.

Sleep.

And party and take a 6 week.

Vacation.

Hehehe!.

What kind of complications if any did you have from week one to week 6?.

Thank you in advance for answering this. It would help all us newbies understand some of the things we will also go through..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you help..

#7 - I have a pretty stressful job so my doctor gave me 6 weeks and I'm very grateful to have taken the time to rest and heal. I still get tired on occasion from the stress but it's different than before.

Surgery.

And my energy level is so much better. I would recommend.

Listening.

To your body your doctor and the parameters of your job. Some cannot take that time...

I was out of touch with the office for about 1 week. The second week I was on the phone and the computer some from home. I went back to the office part-time (afternoons) the third week (should have stayed home another week)..

For me, one of the hardest things (that I didnt expect) was how long it took me to get my pouch settled for the morning. Gently waking up my pouch,.

Drinking water.

, taking my vitamins and trying to get either breakfast or a protein shake took at least an hour and a half. When I rushed it a couple times, I threw up..

Once you go back to the office, it is hard to say, Oops, Ive overdone itnever mind, Im still gone..

I work in a Hospital in the admitting department usually in the er.. so here goes...

2 weeks feeling good getting ready to go back to work.

2 1/2 weeks went back for one day, the sunday before I went back I started vomitting everything I tried even liquids.. Wednesday called dr..

Crying.

After the originally thought it was the flu and it still hadn't gone away..

3 weeks back out from work for another week after endoscopy showed ulcers...

4 and 2 days went back to work and have been there since feeling great...

I was on a.

Liquid diet.

Until about the 2nd month, however once I started not vomitting all the time I was good to go back to work..

My energy level in the beginning was low. But about 2 1/2 months I started feeling better than normal...

Plus the encouragement from my co workers helped push the plateaus aside and keep on pushing...

Let your body tell you when your ready and just go back slow if you need to....

I originally planned to take three weeks. I had a hard time adjusting to Medifast diet and basically life after.

Surgery.

So my doctor gave me an extra two weeks. I'm glad I took all that time. It would have been hard to go back to work on puree diet..

I agree with everyone else, listen to your doctor and above all else, you body. Good luck :)..

I went back after 3 weeks. My first day back I worked about 6 hours and was completely exhausted. The next day, I lasted about 30 minutes and was in so much pain I couldn't hardly stand it. It was at the incision site on my left side. The next day I worked about 4 hours. The last 2 days that week, I last all day, but was extremely tired.

It will tell you if you are over doing it!..

I guess I will take option #4. I did well, but the first week I was very tired, and didn't make it the full 8 hours. I did work some at home within the first week.. Mainly just answering emails etc. I do have a desk job in a hospital, but I have to attend meetings all over the campus, some of the hikes were a little tough my first week. I think it was good for me though as my stamina caught up pretty quickly.

I was out for 5 weeks, went back on a Thursday to have two days to catch up on email/calls/crap, then a weekend, then back in for a full week seeing clients. I had 13 weeks of sick time saved up. I could have taken more time if I wanted to but I was ready to get back. Daytime TV got old after the first week...
