My 1st question is: Has anyone tried Medifast diet pills and do they work? Hoping for any response. Another quick question... Well thanks to those of you who care about me and have asked me to update you all on my progress. It really means a lot to know "no matter how alone you feel there is someone always thinking of you when you least expect it"..

This coming Monday I will be 6 weeks post op. Its unreal to me. Seems like yesterday I was calling the insurance company to see if I had coverage (called 3 times to tripple check!!) I feel so lucky to have found this group with all people from different walks of life yet we all have SOMETHING in common. =) The advice I have been given has truley helped me within the last six weeks and it will in the future too..

As for me I am doing fabulousoooooo. As of my 5 week check up I am down 40 lbs! I can truley relate to those who say they "dont see" the weight loss or "feel" the weight loss although I get compliments all the time......i love the compliments from people who say " you look great! but you always did!".....got to love those guys/girls for their support..

I am super excited to tell you a short quick story. As you all know I am a hairstylist..... I had one of my regulars come in...a guy a little older than me who loves how I cut his hair and has come to me for a few months now so I know about his adventures and girl friends and mom and all that good stuff (i like to make conversation with my clients)..........anyways.....he had an apt and came in, had to wait a couple of minutes...when I got him in my chair he quietly told me how great I been and how he can tell I have been working hard....... best part was he didnt want anyone else to hear him so I wouldnt be embarassed....... This is why I love my job and my clients. They are the best and they didnt judge me before and see how hard I have worked to get this weight off.

My client has no idea how much that meant to me to respect me enough to try to be quiet but let me know he supports me and I'm doing good!!!.

This year my family is very tight on money and I know I will not be getting a lot but thats ok because all I really wanted was their love and support and understanding for my decision on getting this.

Gastric bypass surgery.

I know there are some poeple out there that wish so bad to have the.

Surgery.

And either cant afford it or dont have the family and friend support as I do. Last year I made everyone who wanted to give me gifts to save the money and purchase new coats and grocery store cards and donate them to the local charities of their choice in my and their name. It feels good to do good and I am feeling and doing great..

I wish you all a very merry christmas/ holiday and a blessed New Year... for those of you in the pre op stages there are tons of seats on the losers bench waiting for you!.

XOXO Lisa OXOX..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can answer it..

Lisa:.

6 Weeks and 40lbs truly amazing! Nicely done girl..

Congrats on the weight loss!.

My only advice is to record your progress. Pictures say a thousand words. We live with ourselves and look at ourselves everyday so it is hard to see those differences. When you have them recorded it makes a world of difference. Not only does it give you that visual affirmation but gives you that extra motivation..

Im also on a financial bind this year due to the.

Surgery.

Expenses, however, there is no greater gift than the gift of a healthy life. Celebrate the season for you!.

Wishing you a blessed and healthy holiday alongside your loved ones...
