First off, Has anyone tried the low glycemic Nutrisystem diet yet? Thanks for any answer or 2. Another question on my mind: First day observations for the vegetarian diet for Nutrisystem Advanced.. |

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can help you..

I go through a bag of salad every three lunch or dinner meals...I agree they are vital to success. I think your shopping list is pretty good. If you can get some blueberries or raspberries that are now in the stores from Chile. I think fresh fruit is the best. Good Luck. Enjoy the ride. JT..

Welcome and try to stay active in here, I have found that it truly helps sharing and reading with others going through all the same issues on a daily basis...

Laughing cow cheez "light" 45cal garlic and herb flavor. is very good on a mini wheat bagel. I also put it in many of our Nutrisystem dish for a flavor change..
Any other tidbits you vets want to add?.. |

The lunch bar as an entree is no big deal - it has bailed me out many times when I needed something quick and easy while traveling. I will then eat my salad and carb at another sitting..
Pro Tip: you're supposed to eat add-ins. With. Your lunch bar, Boyo... |

Dean,.
Long time no see. Still moving to Europe before the second coming of the Caliphate?.. |

Hey, dude.....
Sadly the economy here as well as over there (as well as some other factors) have temporarily derailed that plan. Plan B has me returning to what was initially Plan A - stay employed ANYWHERE... |
|
Sorry to hear that. A lot of risk right here at home, and I'm quite aware foreign shores offer no safe harbors presently. I have no doubt you'll get your shot when things improve. I was just hopeful you were going to go over there and straighten things out for us...

When going to the store stick to the perimeter. I make one run around the inside of the outside walls and one trip up aisle #3 (mushrooms and Walden's). It takes me all of 30 min's, once a week..
First stop, Deli. For some "hard" bread (different acceptable flavors like Rye or Sourdough), then to produce for a big bag-o-leaves, 2 bunches of green onions for my Nutrisystem potatoes and 7 bananas. After aisle #3, I then I travel all the way to the other side for FF yogurt, jug-o-juice (high pulp) and a Gal of FF milk. Then I hit the frozen veggies on my way to check-out. That's it, Wham Bam thank you ma'am.. Btw, Dean, good to see you ole boy... |

Good to see you holding down the fort, Cupcake..
BTW, I saw a post where you copped that - The Dean owns the Cupcake appellation. It's copyrighted, Boyo... |

It reminded me of Basic Training. You weren't a D.I. at Fort Sill in the early '80s were you?.
*Found it, fixed it... |

My experience with the DIs was in the late 70's and they were only the weenie air force types - but they are an inspiration for The Dean...

Hello everyone,.
My first time here. I just got all my food. I didn't know you had to go "shopping" for other things. I'm a disabled person and have a hard time shopping. I thought this was just a put in microwave and eat program but I'm going to give it a shot... |

Lol, I don't care if I don't see results but I can't do the fat free milk thing, I can compromis with 2% redued fat that's it. the 2% fat milk I got has 5grams of fat, and some of those snacks/desert have similar amount of fat, and I use the milk in moderaion as the cereal's are pretty tiny away, so I figured I'd be Ok, tried the fat free milk thing before, and I might just as well have used water...

Boo hoo hoo. I guess it's just soooooo hard to lose weight..
Such sacrifices!. You must be St FFlashdance of Arkansas.. Pansy... |

I've been getting the fresh blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries from Sam's, ya know - ton-o-berries. I wash and mix them together then put about 3/4 cup in small snack bags and throw in the freezer...then, in the morning when I come back from my workout, I throw in a bag with my whey protein powder and 6 oz ff milk in the blender. It makes a great high protein smoothie..
Good luck!.. |

First week observations:.
Results: I lost just under 3lbs, this week. Overall 10 for the month (the other 7 were pre-NS).. Quite happy with the results and NS, but need more planning and focus to follow it to the T.. - I ended up cheating a couple days. Had a very long day (12 hr day at work) followed by a dinner reception. Ended up eating egg rolls, and pot stickers! yikes. Ate out one week night (half a falafel). - Salads, fruits are a great filler.. - Eat small portions often.. - Need to figure out what I can eat healthily for the 4pm pangs. I succumbed a few times and ate a fig newton (bad) or soya nuts (not too bad). Probably will start carrying some fruit to work.. - Weekdays are easier than weekends. I'm busier on weekdays and dont have my time on food. The spare time on weekends brings the focus back to the growling stomach.. - Slight headache, more like dullness. Not bad at all. Hopefully will pass.. - Drinking water makes you feel great.. Goal for this week is to continue with NS, the workouts and keep those afternoon hunger pangs at bay.. Thanks everyone for the support, and for those lurkers. Yes, Nutrisystem does work. Get on board and commit!.. |
