Morning dreamers,.

Renee-Sounds like you had a really productive day yesterday. I want to put christmas lights up too but don't think I will. Too busy with other things and the fact that I would have to invest in lights and whatever they hang up with. Money is tight this year and it's Christmas lights or my Medifast HMMMM.... not a hard decision. Oh well....

Today I will put up my tree. Promised the kids. Other than that. I will do my workout and make some Medifast muffins and I think I will try that crustless pumpkin pie thing that I saw on the recipe boards. I think that should take care of the day. The kids have a school program tomorrow and I will also need to find their dressy clothes and make sure everything is ironed and looking "spiffy" (I hate to iron with a passion).

On the weight front, I am not happy with my loss this week but I know I was OP and got in 30-45 min exercise x 5days so I know it's just my body. maybe it will let go of some fat this week (I hope)...

Morning Dreamers,.

Chick, I am thankful for my family and friends and try not to take them for advantage. Most of my aunts and uncles are in their 70's now. I try to touch base with them every month, some more often. I am feeling a little reflective this weekend, I received news yesterday that a former co-worker died unexpectently. She was my interpreter for my 9 business trips to Puerto Rico over a two year period. We became pretty good friends, but lost touch the last year or so..

I am also thankful for my improved health and activity due to this weight loss. A lot of my customers and co-workers are noticing the weight loss and asking what I am doing. I always tell them about MF, but about 99% of the time get negative comments about not eating real food. I am switching my response from now on to diet and exercise..

Renee, sounds like you have a ton of energy. I hope to dig through my x-mas stuff and get some lights out next weekend, along with the tree. No painting next weekend. I am oncall for the next three weeks, so I will have to see how that goes..

I take a lot of call from my co-workers to get some extra money, my budget is a bit tight too. I seem to be spending a bit more than usual on clothes that actually fit these days..

My weight is finally under 200, just barely. The scale only moved two days this week, but it was a 3 lb total loss, and has been holding at 199.5 for three days now..

Gotta go get my day going. I cleaned the house yesterday and finished painting my sewing room. Today I have to put my sewing room together and try to get it a bit organized. The house is coming together. I am really enjoying the transformation from peachy beighes to shades of green/blue called palm frond, misty lake, and night frost. Looks great with the white woodwork and wood (laminate) floors..

Excuse the long post, bye for now...

Hi, my weight loss for the week is 1.5#. I was happy to see a loss considering that the rotten (LOL) scale was stuck for so many days..

We've been having power outages today so I'm going to quickly shut down the computer again..

Hope everyone is having a great weekend...

Hello Dreamers:.

Just posting a quick reply. Very busy weekend because of the international festival I'm involved in. Yesterday we were there from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. I had four shows with my dance group (two venues, two costumes changes) and so did my son. Lots of running around and I was totally thrown off plan.

I ended up sharing a Greek salad with a friend and finding grilled chicken on a stick at an Arabian food booth. But I tasted here and there which official deemed the day as "off plan." Only doing one number late this afternoon, so I know I'll do better. Not sure how it's going to affect my weight loss for the week. I'll keep my fingers crossed..

My Birthday was last Friday and I had a nice day of shopping, getting my hair cut and colored and spending it with friends/family at the festival. I reflected on how lucky I am and how much I have to be thankful for. I have a terrific DH and DS, nice co-workers and a stable job, supportive family, many friends and most importantly my health which is getting better. Now that I have 30+ pounds off my frame, I'm tearing up the dance floor!.

Renee - way to go on the garage. It must be a great feeling of accomplishment..

Denyse - kudos for you for all your exercise and being on plan. I'm confident for you that yoru scale will cooperate next week..

Pam - BIG CONGRATS to you on your milestone..

Chick - thanks again for leading our team in the challenge. Won't know what to do without you..

I'm flying out to NY on Tuesday morning, so I'll check in tomorrow before I leave. Talk to you all soon!..

Renee, you have become a workaholic! I sure wish you lived closer, I could use the help and would love to take advantage of all that excess energy..

Denyse, how did those new recipes turn out? I used to do the shake cakes and oatmeal cookies, but other wise didn't venture out much. Glad you are experimenting, especially if you keeps you engaged in the program. A loss is a loss is a loss, good job!.

Talien, hurray the scale answered! Good luck with the power outage. Computers are fragile so I hope you have a power back up or surge protector. If not, you are wise to stay off until things normalize..

Dee, good luck on your trip to NY. You and Pepi will be tearing up the town. You must be exhausted from all those performances. I bet it was a great deal of fun along with the work of it. I hope tomorrow shows a payoff for you..

Still gotta work on the hill. DGD was here so my day has had a slow beginning..

All Sunday weighers have been 100% OP, water, and had a loss so far. What a great start..

Hi all,.

Well, the scale this week was much better than last week.

I stepped up my workouts this past week, but by Saturday I realized I may have stepped up too much (totally worn out!)..

I road my stationary bike every day for 1 hour at an average speed of 15-16 miles per hour and then on Saturday went for a bike ride for approximately 2 hours at an average speed of 10 miles per hour. I was so beat the rest of Saturday, all I could do is sleep. I rested on Sunday and feel up and at 'em this morning. I was shooting to ride 100 miles over the week and at least made it to 95 miles so I felt pretty good about that despite the fatigue. I know I have to drop it back a notch this week..

I'm donating blood today - the first time since starting the plan. Does anyone have experience with this? I used to donate regularly but was anemic for a long time and couldn't donate. Now that I'm no longer anemic, I'm back to donating. I timed the donation with my mid-morning snack so I'll eat a bar instead of the goodies that are provided - and of course I'll be drinking lots of water..

Looking forward to Thanksgiving with friends and family. I have a lot to be thankful for. On Friday we're volunteering for Operation Gratitude preparing packages to send to our troops. This is our first year volunteering to this great cause and we're excited to participate..

Hope everyone has a lovely and safe holiday!..

Afternoon Dreamers!.

Chick - Workaholic ????? I have to say I never thought abot it that way, but you may be on to something. Never thought that would be said about me. When I lost weight I felt great, but since I've been exercising on a regular basis, that's where all the energy comes from. I have to say though that it's driving DH crazy. Used to our evenings would be watching tv. Now? I'm always doing something.

But most of the time I don't watch much tv. Even my hobbies have changed. I used to knit alot, cross stitch, scrapbook and read. I don't sit still long enough now to do those things and I don't really want to. I go to bed between 10:30 and 11, up at 4 am.

Better get back to work...

Looking at some great losses again this week..

Mary, what a comeback from last week! See it just had to move on it's own and it sure did. Thank you for volunteering, it is a great way to give back and the perfect season to do it..

Pepi you are so steady on that scale. Onderland doesn't seem like it was that long ago but you'll be in the 170's soon. Great progress!.

Elaine, that was a great NSV to turn away from food. So glad you got to spend some time with your son and that's a great Christmas present to have him back again so soon. You can easily be a size smaller, stick with it..

Renee, glad to see you have a completely different routine. I don't know if we really realize how sedentary we can be because of our hobbies. Mine are computer based, so just getting out and walking almost everyday breaks up that routine of not moving. At least with my fingers busy, it's harder to stuff things in my mouth..

Got to clean up my office and pay the bills. Then I can walk to the post office to take mail, the few I can't pay online. That could stretch my walk today. Hopefully I won't get distracted because I have to get the house cleaned and organized before turkey day..

Chick - I don't sit all day, but most of it. So, it's a switch that I'm doing so much at night. Tonight after cleaning up the kitchen I pledged all the kitchen cabinets, cleaned off the top of the refrig. Hubby went to bed. It drives him crazy that I don't just sit now. Oh, well......

Gotta dig out recipes and go grocery shopping tomorrow for the stuff I'm taking for Thanksgiving, 2 different ones. One Wedn. night and one Thurs. Wed night is hubby's family - nothing I will be able to eat unless I bring it. Thurs is my family, shouldn't be much of a problem there..

Congrats this week to all who had losses!!!!.

Ended up with a couple MIA today and we are slipping a bit on both water and OP. This week is a real challenge for many of us, so this is a good time to show your strengths. I abstained last year and this year I get to enjoy a little but with moderation. It will always be with moderation. I'm not going back to that person. It is no longer me.

Do you want to undo last week or more? You can do it. You are worth it!.

Congrats Grandma Talien for the new baby boy. I have 7 of them, 3 boys and 4 girls. And yep, we need to be here for them. Happy and healthy because they think we are invincible..

Kathy, 2.5 is great. So sorry you were sick. Hope things are improving..

Renee, the whirling dervish, I cleaned the oven (is self-cleaning cheating?) and did major vacuuming and laundry in our bedroom. Rottweilers are not hairless and anybody who thinks they don't shed is living in a fantasy world. Tomorrow I think I will vacuum her. JK..

Have a great Tuesday and stay strong. Make good choices...

Hi everyone,.

I am going to an all-you-can-eat buffet for Thanksgiving. My parents like doing this so they don't have to cook and put anyone in the family to any trouble. I am planning to bring my food scale in my purse. Frankly I don't give a darn what anyone else in the restaurant thinks of it! I have worked my @$$ off to lose this weight and I have no plans to gain anytime soon! ;P.

The great part about Thanksgiving is that there are a lot of nice on-plan proteins and veggies to be had - so I am looking forward to it really. I will also be bringing my own salad dressing in a darling tiny little tupperware container. Can't really be sure what is in the ones on the buffet....

Rather than feeling deprived - I feel empowered and sexy! Whee!.

I was good and on plan last Thanksgiving and this Thanksgiving I will be again - but doing it in a much smaller body since I have been so good this year! I am so thankful to have my health back. I wouldn't dream of jeopardizing it in any way by eating inappropriate foods or portions..

Congratulations to all the losers this week! We can do this! We can enjoy the holidays without damaging our health!.

Love & Light,.

Dee, have a safe flight home and throw a wave to my friends and family back there as you pass overhead. I just realized it has been 25 years or more since we had a huge Thanksgiving in New York. We'll only two of our kids home this year, no grandchildren, but the feast must go on. Glad I don't eat half of what I cook..

Rain, that was a great post! If anyone needs inspiration for staying on plan through this holiday, just take a look at Rain's journey and her progress. You won't find any better to give you strength and hope through Turkey Day and beyond..

Have a great OP day and if you are traveling, be safe and mindful of the world around you. If we don't hear from you, we know it is because you are enjoying life and can handle this one, this time!.

Talien, congrats on the new grandbaby. My kids are 30 and 32 this weekend, and no grandkids in sight. I do have a grandpuppy though. I wouldn't get to see them much anyway as we all live in different states..

Dee and Pepi, enjoy the holiday visits with the family. I'm sure you will both wow them with your new looks..

Rain, nice to hear from you. I am always amazed at your journey. You are still dropping the weight so fast. Must be the Zumba. I have the dvd's, but have not taken the time to start them. I just keep doing my usual exercise.

I am oncall again. Have a good time with your family..

I got home from work a couple of hours early and spent the time trimming all the bushes in front of the house, there are about a dozen. Then cleaned up the back yard. I'm tired, but off to meet a friend for dinner. Having my weekly steak, broccoli, and salad dinner early this week..

Have a good holiday everyone, I'm not sure I will check in again before the weekend...

Pepi- have a safe trip and take care..

I just have to say that I am thankful for my family, the health of my family and to my own improving health. I am also thankful to this wonderful group of "Dream losers" you all give me so mu inspiration and hope. I hope everyone had a nice day yesterday. I stuck to program but had a couple dicey moments, even had a frosted cookie inside my mouth, but did NOT close my teeth on itI *fast* put the cookie in the trash. That was the closest I've come to going off program since September 20th. Anyway, made it through the day unscathed. Scale is still showing the return of the 1.5# (darn body! darn scale!!!). I have been on program so I know that it is not true weight gainbut still is discouraging.

It took a few days before the weight dropped back off, perhaps this is going to be another of those, um......interesting things that my body does as I lose the weight. I do not like it one bit (big surprise, LOL), and I dread weigh in tomorrow with only .5# as my official loss this week (if my body continues to hold onto this 1.5#). It would have been a 2# loss for the week....darn it! I'm getting discouraged too quickly and it isn't even weigh in daymaybe tomorrow the 1.5# regain will be gone. Fingers crossed, knocking on wood.......

Hey dreamers, Talien you have the strongest will power not to even nip at a cookie already in your mouth. I am thinking your scale is possessed and just doesn't like you much.

You are doing so well you know that weight will be off.

As for myself I am cautiously optimistic- as long as the trend continues I should have a nice figure to report Sunday morning it's a secret I checked my weight this AM and was stunned- hoping (with fingers crossed) that that number will still be effective on weigh in day (even lower would be good). if it stays the same or lower it will be the best loss I have had since starting this challenge.... SHHHH..... don't tell my scale..

Have a great day all....HMMM wondering if anyone is even around (I know you are around Talien.

Sorry Dreamers, a quick drive-by is all I can get in. Went to my b-day dinner Wednesday night, a day early because Thanksgiving always comes first. Kids teased me with the traditional candles in the pumpkin pie on Turkey day. Today was the spa for a facial, manicure, and pedicure. Can you spell spoiled? Tonight we are off to the theatre, Pantages in Hollywood, to see How the Grinch stole Christmas production. So lots of celebrating and a lot of rewards this year for being a good girl all year.

Talien, Elaine, Kathy, and Denyse, thanks for keeping things alive. Back to the routine tomorrow. Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving and everybody should be catching up by Sunday and Monday. BB tomorrow!..

It is almost bedtime and I've made it through another day. I've not been optimistic about weigh in on Sunday...the darn scale has me feeling down. I work hard and deny myself so many foods (well, yeahevery one on program is doing that this time of year, LOL). To have the darn scale drop and then regain weightthat just isn't right and should not be allowed to happen (LOL)..

So, I'm working hard on my attitude and having to work very hard to keep myself from dwelling on the foods in the house that I want to gobble up. My grandchildren still have Halloween candy sitting around, there are all kinds of pumpkin sugary goodies...well, there is a lot of stuff (I don't want to name it and torture you and myself any more than I already have)..

I hate feeling deprived...it is time for a refocus and a change of my thinking. I am not deprived by avoiding high sugar, empty calorie foods. I am blessed to have this opportunity for eating healthier, becoming trimmer, fitter and wearing more attractive clothing........

Okay, so I'm going to need to work on this some moreguess I will end this typing and just focus on listing my blessings instead of my inner child having a continuous tantrum over the deviation from what I've eaten in years past. What I am doing is good for me....mentally, physically. What I use to do was not good for me mentally nor physically. I do not want to be unhappy with myself I need to get over this desire for what is not beneficial to help me achieve my goals..

See......I'm wallering in a lousy spot right this minute and have a lot of self-talk to do to undo the brainwashing I've done over the years that excessive food, especially at this time of the year, is a good thing..

I'm in control of my future. I can do this. I want to do this. I will do this!.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful time with their family, friends and doing things that will enable them to achieve their health goals...

Fast check-in. Weight still the same, less than last week's official weigh-in weight, but 1.5# more than my lowest in the past week. I'm working towards just accepting that this is what my body is doing, dropping weight, then regaining it to hold for awhile. I do not like it, but it is either accept it or throw the program out the window in frustrationwhich is not an option. So, acceptance is my plan. I sure hope that the weight is gone tomorrow morning! LOL...

;^) Hope everyone has a nice Saturday...

Regardless it feels good. I think I am one of the slower winners around here so I am so happy today. Talien- maybe you need to turn away from the scale for a while- as long as you keep doing the right things tomorrow will come and goal weight will be here. I don't think we can force our bodies to cooperate (I wish we could). Stay strong!!!!.

Good morning!! Anyone do any Black Friday Shopping?? I made one stop. Not for special, but because I needed something. Today will make a trip to Staples for printer cartridge. So here's a QOTD: Are you a shopper? I do whatever I can to avoid crowds - answered my question..

My scale doesn't seem to be moving a lot. Will finish my antibiotic today, think this is slowing me down. My health coach also told me the body fighting an infection could slow down weight loss. Back totally on OP, no more blt's for me..

The weather here in west Texas has been beautiful - low 70s. We loaded up the bicycles yesterday and had a great ride through a park and lake yesterday. Canadian gees winter in our area. There were a lot of geese on the lake - it was really pretty. I must confess our lake is just a playa lake. But here in west Texas if it has water in it, we call it a lake..

Took me 20 minutes to ride around. Today should be nice before our weather changes tomorrow - have a chance of some sleet and light snow tomorrow..

Enjoying my long weekend..

Happy Saturday Dreamers,.

Talien, you are doing so good with your self-talk. Keep up the good work..

Kathy, I have never gone out shopping on Black Friday in the past. However, this year I went to an office store to get a chair for my sewing/office room. I could not believe there were over 50 people in line waiting for the store to open at 7 am. I waited in my car for the store to open, went in and got one of the 4 available chairs, paid and was out of the store in less than 15 minutes. I could not believe how full all the parking lots were, except the office store thank you. I thought people are still going on about being in a recession.

Can't beat the crowds, and usually the prices are better..

I had no problem sticking to plan at Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, and a big salad. Got me out of eating the dressing with celery in it. I really don't like celery. I did have one off-plan day this week. I invited a friend to my weekly steak dinner at a local resturant and had a glass of red wine with dinner.

Does that count?.

Putting up the tree today, I did the lights outside yesterday. I still need to go to the store and get one more timer and another extension cord. I also started prepping the kitchen/dining area for painting. I had some wall paper to remove - done. Now to get the walls washed, baseboards, cabinets, and counters taped. At the rate I move, I may have this next painting project done by Christmas.

Going to get my day started. Hope everyone is having a good weekend...

Good Morning Dreamers!.

This is the first chance to even sit at the computer! It was a nice Thanksgiving overall. Wednesday night we had Thanksgiving with hubby's side of the family. Not a thing I could eat, except the turkey. So, I ate turkey. I expected it though. Everyone has put on weight, but especially my SIL.

Yes, she's asked about MF, but no, she doesn't want to do it..

Thursday we drove to Oklahoma City, had Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family. We haven't done this since mom died, almost 6 years ago. It was very nice. Not alot I could eat, but turkey, green beans and salad. So, more than Wednesday. Alot of pecan pie, but I don't really care for it, so no big deal..

DD19 and I got up and went shopping Friday. We were at Kohl's at 4 am. Got most of my shopping done. The lack of sleep is catching up to me though. Thurs didn't go to bed til 11:30, then up at 3:15 Friday morning. No nap and didn't go to bed til 11 last night.

So, to answer the question - Yep I'm a shopper, didn't used to be, but I am now..

Talien - Honey hang in there. This is a normal happening. The attitude is what will make you or break you. Don't think of it as being deprived, think of it as treating yourself special. You are worth it and you deserve it!!!!!!.

Gotta go, hubby's home..

Found Week 4 stats. We took second place. Beat by a team who only had 2 reporting in. Our spreadsheet organizer is retiring, so the future of the challenges as we know it is up in the air. A topic we can discuss this coming week, but she put it out there with the weekly results..

Congrats Dreamers, we are # 2..

Morning Dreamers!.

Yesterday morning, after breakfast, I backed my car out of the garage. Hubby said what are you doing? Cleaning. He wasn't too hip on the idea, but eventually felt guilty enough, I guess, to help. I plugged in my iphone and played Christmas music all morning. Got the garage cleaned out, organized garage sale stuff, baby stuff and got the Christmas decorations out of the attic. He must have felt really bad, cuz he even put the lights up in the yard and on the house.

The girls and I will put the tree up next weekend. Tradition - hubby lays on the couch and watches. Whatever!.

Gotta get around...
