First of all Have you ever done the Medifast Diet? Thanks in advance for any response. Another quick question... Hi, everyone, I started w/114 lbs. to lose (at 274.4) and I've lost 26 so far (yay me!) But nobody's noticed! I'm tall (5'7) and going from bulky sweaters to spring clothes, but still!. |

Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can help you..

I'm tall (5'9") and every time I lose weight it takes around 40-50 pounds for people to start saying something. I think people might be scared because weight can be a sensitive subject for a lot of people. Sometimes it just takes them a while to notice something is different and then figure out, Oh it's her weight. The more you lose and people catch on that your losing weight, the more people will comment. Once the comments start they will probably happen more often for encouragement. Until then, stick to the boards because there is lots of encouragement on here..
I think you are doing great, keep up the good work. Compliments will come with time and pounds. It doesn't help that we are tall. Weight loss is more noticeable on short people but that just means we carry our weight better : ). Keep up the good work!!!!!.. |

Thank you both so much! That was just what I needed to hear today!!!!.
You are doing great awesome inspiration, too!. Hugs, NM!.. |

Nathansmom - I'm 5'7 with 175 lbs to lose and I've lost 34 lbs. Only recently have I had ppl say something but that was my dad who hadn't seen me in awhile. I get a lot of "You lightened your hair, you did something different w/your hair, did you cut your hair?, I like your hair today." LOL I haven't done a darn thing different with my hair since before Christmas! I think ppl just don't know what to say. You'll soon get compliments!.
Best of Luck!.. |

Yes, I agree with everyone above. When I did Medifast the first time I started at 245 and it wasn't until I was about 210 that people were making comments. A couple friends who I hadn't seen in a long time were really flipping out - one actually went home that night and ordered Medifast for herself!! Everyone told me how good I was looking. Then.... I fell off the wagon, ugh! I started 3 weeks ago at a higher weight than I originally started at, I've lost 12 pounds already. And I'm not expecting people to notice yet (heck, I can't even notice) but give it another 20 pounds or so...

I started hearing comments just 20lbs in! I hear them all the time since I'm 48 lbs in!!..
|

No one has noticed That I lost any weight yet and I am at -45 pounds. the more you have to lose the less noticeable it is. People may not be able to notice just yet but I feel 150% better then I did 3 months ago and thats what really matters...
|
|
People started when I hit 25-30 pounds..but if you are still wearing the same size clothes it is less noticeable..even when they are too big, you still look 'big' in them...when I bought a smaller size jeans and wore them with a tee shirt without the usual baggie jacket over it it was noticeable!! Its coming!! promise!..

Nathansmom-.
Don't worry! It's definitely coming. It just depends on your height and how you carry the weight and what kind of clothes you wear. I'm 5'10" with a lot of weight to lose and it wasn't until I hit about 50 that people started commenting. Don't be discouraged!! You're doing awesome! Keep up the good work!.. |
