One of the other teams has the idea of having a challenge between the official challenges, as a way to stay on track during the holidays. We will still post our weekly stats, we just won't have someone to calculate the spreadsheet. So, we won't really have a ranking each week, but we can still see how each other is doing. What do you think???..

It is late at night, I hope all of you are snug in your beds. I just finished cleaning up after my DH's and SIL's birthday party. It went well. I so stress myself and family out getting ready for parties. I want everything perfect. Most people probably do not even notice.

- how was your day? I was thinking of you and your extra broccoli! Shoveling snow - good exercise. I did that on vacation, not something I would enjoy all the time.

- you are doing so good! You are an inspiration!.

- wow, wow, wow!! You are amazing! I don't remember that story, I am glad you shared with us now..

Well, I am finally winding down and getting tired. Wishing all a fab Sunday. I plan on sleeping in, working out, going to a soccer game and relaxing the rest of the day! Wishing all of you a wonderful Sunday..

- you really seem to be doing well balancing your life and MF. I wasn't so smart, I cooked mexican food for my DH's birthday dinner. It was all the things I loved and couldn't have. It was pure torture for times tonight!.

Candee and Patty.

- welcome "back"! I did some decorating before the party but still have lots to do. At this point, I am not sure how much to do, because now we only have a couple of weeks left of the holiday season.

Of course, I tend to get carried away. I could easily spend a week or so decorating!!..

Happy Sunday to all!.

We officially started our holiday season by seeing.

The Messiah.

Last night. It was one of the best performances we've seen - we do this every year. In the afternoon, DH put our wreath and the lights outside and we bought our tree. Now, it's my turn for indoor decorating. I'm like Stacy - I tend to go overboard. So much so, that it stresses me out just to think about getting things down from the attic.

DH goes very simple outside. We used to use a lot more lights, and were it up to me, I still would. But, we live out in the middle of nowhere, so I spend my energy doing indoors..

It's still very cold, but no snow yet. If it's going to be this cold, I'd just as soon have snow. Feels more like Christmas..

I've got a bunch of people coming over for a meeting this afternoon, and unfortunately, part of the 'tradition' is a potluck. I did quite well last month (it's a monthly thing) - I made a huge salad, filled my plate with that and ate outside so I wouldn't see all the off-plan food. We had an unusually warm day last month - today we'll all have to meet and eat indoors. I'm making salad again, but also some OP spaghetti sauce. I'll take some out have it with shiratake noodles and cook real pasta for the rest. I should be OK - I'm getting used to being around dangerous food.

I'm heading into a weight I haven't been in over 10 years!.

Thanks for sharing your story. You are truly amazing!! I believe that our bodies get used to a certain weight and they'll fight to keep it. But you're fighting back and you're going to win!!.

- I'd be more interested in challenges if I saw real results...I'm a number cruncher at heart and just knowing that we're in first, or second or whatever isn't enough for me. How much did our team lose as a total? What are the numbers of the other teams? I like to see that stuff - I'm extremely detail oriented; I have to be for my job and it sometimes interferes with real life.

You said we can see how each other is doing, but how? If I do another challenge, I want to be able to see the numbers..

Thanks for the water banner - I'm waiting for my official week to be done before I add it, but I'm sure I'll be eligible to display it..

Amy, Patty, Heidi, Stacy & the rest of the crew.

, have a.

Hi Crew,.

, Thanks for stating us out and taking care of the challenge. I hope things calm down for you..

, how you liking that extra vegetable. I'm excited to see how you do with the T&M. That part scares me still. But I know I will be able to do it..

, I too tend to go overboard with the decorations and am making a conscious effort to scale back. I wanted to do more lights outside, but had trouble getting some light strands to work. I keep meaning to take care of that, but have finally decided there are more fun things in life to do. So simple lights this year is fine..

, I know what you mean about stressing out for gatherings. I've been working on that for years..

, You are doing great! Way to go. You are very close to goal. It's exciting. For me I just wanted to be less than 20lbs from my goal because saying you are 20 lbs over weight is not that bad. People say that all the time..

I know this sounds weird, but maybe you should cut your work out down some. Maybe you are doing too much. Just a thought..

Sounds like everyone else is doing great too. Sorry if I missed you. I'll try to keep more up to date this week. My weeks are not consistent and change from day to day, so I don't have a normal time to check in. I'm going to work on that this week..

This week, my NSV, was a skinny friend of mine kept telling me how skinny I looked. And as she is very pregnant, she just can't believe I'm the skinny one. I loved that comment. I'm going to hold on to that happy thought for a long time...

Hi everyone. I'm am in Virginia for DD's Christmas Vespers and concert. It really got us in the holiday spirit last year. We drove down here during te day and usually stay overnight, but this year we need to drive back after the program. It is 4 1/2 hours. The good news is that it should be fairly easy to get around DC at midnight on a Sunday night..

Veggies are great! I'll post a snow picture tomorrow when I get home. It will put you in the Christmas spirit..

Diana get better..

I'll touch base tomorrow from my computer. Day off!.

Still OP and it is becoming a habit. I know I posted my stats last week and also a post to Barb to celebrate her goal - but can't find them.

Congrats Barb - please keep posting! You are a great inspiration.

I know the next few weeks will be a challenge but I am ready for it. Too much insanity otherwise in my life (like everyone else) so I am concentrating and controlling what I can - what I eat and what I don't eat.

Have a great day/evening everyone!..

Happy Monday everyone.

Posted stats, got my laptop back with a new hard drive in it, now able to eat Medifast meals-GI bug now gone, holiday decorations not up yet, refrig still broken-repairman to arrive today to give us the verdict, snow is really pretty outside.

Well that is the gist of my life right now, the trees look so pretty with all the snow on them, I am guessing today the sun will come out and melt it off them but while they are covered it is so pretty outside. I actually love winter (as well as all the seasons-that is why living in New england is so much fun). I hope we have a winter this year-it actually makes it go faster. I have been doing my Wii Active and Wii sports for the past 3 days so back on that swing too. the Active for Wii-more exercises is good so if any of you have Active and was wondering about the new version go for it. I will try out the newer version of the Wii fit once this 6 week challenge thing is done-if I can wait that long HAHA..

Diana I hope you are feeling better.

Patricia I agree with you Plan , Plan, Plan and just in case you are not sure Plan more. I have food stashed everywhere so that I can not miss a regular Medifast meal. the Lean and Green I have trouble with so that one I have to do more planning with.

To all the rest of you I will come back later and check in with everyone- I have to get ready to go to work and so drying my hair would be a start..

That is great..

I am op today and drinking 120 oz of water. Still stalled but no longer stressing over it..

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. We are off to go shopping. Will check in tonight..

Happy Monday all. I had a great visit with my DD yesterday and enjoyed Christmas vespers. The drive home made for a very long day (it is 4 hours one way), but DH and I enjoyed it very much..

, I also get stressed out about cleaning and I think for the most part, no one really notices. I hope you had a great time..

, seems strange to me that you havent had snow yet and the ground here is a beautiful white. I am sure you get much more snow than we do in the winter. I am hoping that we will have a White Christmas..

, hang in there. You may want to check with nutritional support..

, thanks for getting us started. I am having a hard time finding the thread though. I keep linking from last weeks. Where is it posted?.

, I can see the light at the end of your tunnel as well. You have lost over 50 pounds! Congrats. Just a few more to go and youll be adding veggies with me. I have to agree that it is so much easier when it becomes habit. That was why staying on plan was so important to me..

You are moving along. I know that you can do this. Keep up the good work. As a friend of mine says.fight the good fight..

Just finished reading all the posts for the last couple of days. Everyone seems to be staying on track and making good decisions. I just had three days of getting out Xmas decorations, cleaning the house, and cooking a family dinner on Sun. I did go off plan but feel like I didn't overeat. I know one thing I am really making some new habits. Sunday I didn't eat my morning or afternnon snack and it felt weird.

I started feeling really tired Sun morning and afternoon without my snack. I couldn't wait to get back to "NORMAL" today and eat my MF. Here in Missouri it is getting colder and we have had a dusting of snow. It was not very pretty though just sloppy..

Patty: Its seems like you have really had too much here lately, sick, your computer, your fridgeHope things get more on track for you now..

Stacy: I understand about the wanting everything perfect when people are coming over. My father-in-law used to say quit worrying about cleaning up before clean up after they leave..

Just reading everyone's posts inspires me to stay OP especially when I see that they are no longer obese or overweight or reached their goal because I want to be there...

Happy Tuesday everyone.

I had a few minutes before I leave for a busy work day so I thought I would drop in and say hi..

First I would like to thank all of you who have been putting holiday decorations in your posts. That really helps to see since I have not gotten the decorations up from the basement yet..

I am sipping my Medifast hot cocoa-yes addicted to the stuff. Just got my shippment in and they just sent me the case they get of it vs unpacking it and repacking it in a box for me. Now that was pretty funny. At least I got the amount right for them HA HA. I need to figure a way to have it in the office, I like to magic bullet it before I heat it and not carrying that around to do that, and I am not in the office that much so it is not worth having 2. Oh well challenges to overcome.

The refrig repair man was here last evening (you know we will be there between 1 and 5 and they show up at 6), after taking out the ice buildup and everything he replaced the thermostat. I am not sure that was really the problem so I think I may just put off the refrig we purchased on Black Friday to a later delivery date to see if this one works or not. I can always cancel it if the refrig really works. (faith is not my middle name with appliance repair). I am really hoping that it is fixed, the outdoor refrig -ie cold temps (cooler) works fine until we get warm again, so not too worried but I would like to fit in christmas cookies soon. Yeh I do those too.

Well got to run. everyone have a wonderful day..

You crack me up with your hot chocolate. I just shake mine up in a shaker then put it in a mug and heat it up. You could try that at work. Easier to carry around a shaker then the bullet. Magic Bullet that is..

Good luck with your frig. I hate when the people come after the 5 hour window they give. Why even give a window if you are not going to abide by it..

Hi Stacy.

I too love all the decorations and movies and music of Christmas. I use to love watching the movies with my sister and now moved Florida 3 years agao and I miss her every Christmas season. I wish it would snow. It's cold enough here, but nothing yet..

Hello all,.

I had something so fun happen yesterday. The spa where I go for massages, eye brow wax etc. was doing an open house. Well, I almost didn't go because I had to take my 4 year old, my hubby had my 6 year old out Christmas shopping, isn't that cute?? So, anyway, I decided to drop in because they had a wheel to spin to win gift cards. I really never win anything, I am not whining, that is just how it is. So yesterday spun the wheel and won a $150.00 gift card!!!.

Merry Christmas to me!!.

I am drinking tons of water and OP. I think my scale moved a touch, but I don't count it unless it is official weigh in day..

Bobbi, your shopping sounds wonderful! I wish you success this week with the scale!!.

Cassandra, please keep reminding us to sit up straight, I love it! I have bad posture, so that is helping me to remember even during the day..

I started my Christmas decorating, but when we go the flu I stopped and haven't finished. I hope to do that today and tomorrow..

How is everyone on gifts?? Done shopping, even started??.

Take care everyone,.

Where did they all go? Ive been thinking about this a lot lately. When I started this journey, the crew was very different then it is today. People come and people go, but what is very interesting to me is that since I started on April 2, I dont think anyone else has made goal. This concerns me, because I know that weight loss is not easy and I am thinking that maintenance is even harder. So why did I make goal this time when I never made it before?.

As best as I can figure from studying my journal and the past 8 months is that I had a long term goal. I made a promise to myself that this was the last time I would spend money on weight loss. I just wasnt ever going to do it again. I told myself if I couldnt do it this time, then I had to live life fat. I said that to myself a lot early on. I said it every time I placed an order, and I still say it today..

So why dont people make it. I have been thinking about why I didnt make it any other time and I came up with a few thoughts. One is that I never lost weight as quickly as I have on MF. Staying on plan for 8 months was much easier than the amount of time this would have taken on Medifast or any of the other programs I have done. The quicker NSVs helped SO much. It also gave me the confidence to continue on plan..

I have identified triggers and pitfalls from the past. OK so there isnt a diet out there I havent tried, so Ive learned quite a lot along the way. I think I finally realized what derailed me in the past. Bites, licks and tastes for one. Today I dont take any BLTs, period. I know this is a problem for me.

I also made a rule that anytime I looked for food and it wasnt time to eat, I had to do a chore from my list. This helped me to stop shopping for something to eat when I didnt need food..

I put my scale away. I stopped focusing on the day to day ups and downs of weight loss and only looked at my weight once a week. This forced me to focus on what I was doing with the plan to change my lifestyle as opposed to a number on the scale..

I found fast and easy ways to take care of my protein. I found pre-cooked meats that I can use on plan to make dinner prep easy..

I planned all my meals the day before. I didnt have to think about my food when I was stressed or too busy to make good decisions..

So why didnt I make it before. I didnt do anything Ive said above for the long haul. I fell out of all of the habits I started and the plan that I was on at the time became too hard. Staying on plan with Medifast is easy. I only have to plan one meal a day or 2 if I split them. I am not hungry if I am on plan, eat at the right time and stay in ketosis..

Yes, I could have taken an Medifast vacation, but everyone that I have talked to that has taken a vacation finds it much harder to get back into the Medifast groove. I have even read that some people dread the thought of going back into ketosis and that is what is keeping them from going back..

So where did everyone go? I wonder if they took the time to figure out how to change their lifestyle so they can live thin. I wonder if I am ready to live a thin lifestyle. I really dont know the answer to that, but I do know one thing.. I am not going anywhere until I am sure that I can..

Have a great OP day!.

Happy Tuesday everyone. Just had to get that last bit out of my system. I hope we can all stay together through the holidays and support each other through this and to goal. We can do this!.

Im working on my distance right now. I bought some new running shoes yesterday and saw some 5Ks for the spring. I am going to look for one that will be around my one year anniversary early in April. Ill be there will be an Easter Egg run somewhere near us..

I have missed you. Congrats on your first 5K..

, doesnt it feel great to have new habits. I know that now that I am use to running, I cant go without it. A good habit!.

, I hope it all works out for you. Do you know how many calories you are burning with your exercise?.

, it was a beautiful snow. Some of the pictures are from Maine and some are from the Susquehanna River, which is close to where I live. The river is absolutely beautiful in the fall. I always hike there and of course, find a rock to sit on. I have this thing about sitting on rocks. When I want to reflect, I hike, sit on rocks and watch the water.

, I wish my core was stronger. That stupid little balance board on my Wii Fit constantly reminds me about how out of balance I am. I just dont seem to be getting any more balanced. My daughter would have something to say about my balance I am sure. I have a feeling you might be getting snow as I write this..

, things are going well. I am a little concerned about the increase in exercise since I hit goal. I have been running at least 2.5 miles every day and trying to increase the speed. I am concerned that I may need to get my calories up a little faster. Ill know when I see my weight on Friday..

, just how much hot cocoa is in the case? I make mine with a wand which was much cheaper than a magic bullet. But I really do have to give it a good mixing before I heat it. I like it creamy and foamy..

, what a great prize! Nothing like a spa day to make you feel better..

And the rest of the crew, I am thinking about you and wishing you the best..

Barb, that is a popular question asked alot lately. I have seen where a few of the veterans who have made goal also feel like "where did they go".

I am truly glad that you made it to goal and will continue to make it thru transition and maintenance. A person has to truly know what they want to make it thru to the end... so to speak..

You have shown this by putting in all the hours of journaling and self examination, learning new self talk, being positive about getting to goal. Changing your lifestyle. That is truly the only way it can work. I am glad that you are here to show the rest of us that the hard work does pay off with being thin, being healthy and happy..

I hope that everyone in this crew makes it to goal and beyond..

Oh Diana...((((Hugs)))).

Barb - insightful as always. Please do not leave us, I need you!!! On the exercise front...do you have a heart monitor? It will track how many calories you are burning based on your heart rate. This might help you to determine the amount of calories or protein you may need to add. I also have the nike shoes that you can put this little device in that tracks your distance and calories and will work with a heart monitor..

Hello bobbi, candee, jan, brenda, jan, debbie and the rest of you fab crew. I am really only just flying by..

But had to share real quickly...

Today, I got measured (it was suppose to be last week, but my trainer didn't have my previous measurements)..

I am down 10.5 lbs and (are you ready) 14.25" for the month.

I have lost over 38" in the past 3 months!.

My tush is under 40".

So my trainer thought he would be funny today...he made me do step up onto a bench holding 30lbs. He said this is less than you have lost and feel the difference. I wanted to kill him (thank goodness he only made me do 10 on each leg), but "WOW!.

I am doing the happy Medifast dance!.

Have a terrific Wednesday!..

I've been trying like crazy to move the scale, and it's inching along...I would like for it to make grand leaps, but I guess I have to be patient. After all, I didn't get this way overnight, so I know my body is adjusting..

We finally got some snow in Houston! It was gorgeous...I was hoping that the day would never end because that was truly miraculous! We probably won't see anymore throughout the rest of the winter season..

Stacy - I'm asking for one of those heart rate monitors for Xmas..

Barb - Congrats and I hope for the same!.

Bobbi - It's me and you, kid!.

Candee - That's awesome!.

Casandra - I hope you and your friend have a grand ol' time..

Patty - Thank goodness for bars, right?.

Shari - Congrats on the 5K! I'm busily training for Angie's 1/2 Marathon in April. I also do the walk/run program. You really inspire me to continue my training..

Jan - You're doing awesome!.

Well, have a great OP Wednesday!..

Good morning all!.

Diana, so sorry, we also have been sick SO much this season. My preschooler brings everything home!.

Stacy, Wow! That is super. What do you have in your shoe? I am super curious about that! I do have the bodybugg(the older version), it just annoyed me, so I didn't renew my subcription, but maybe I should try it again. The problem was it told me I was burning at 2800 calories and on workout days over 3200, but yet I still wasn't losing weight. I was consuming 2000 calories at the time, so I was like what the @!##. But now I know the secret!.

Kai, just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

I love that line!.

Jocelyn, where are you? Your posts always motivate me!.

My NSV for yesterday, I accidentally dried my shirts all the way in the dryer and instead of being upset, I thought well if they don't fit this week, they will fit in the next week or two! For years I have been SO careful to only fluff my clothes in the dryer and then take them out to finish..

I wish everyone a great OP day! Oh, sit up straight, drink water and move those fannies!.

Good morning, Crew!.

It finally snowed last night, about an inch. But, as is typical for Michigan, the weather ran the gamut - it was raining and 38 desgrees when I got up. So the dirt roads are a slushy, muddy, slippery mess. Main/paved roads are OK. Michigan's state motto is.

"Water Winter Wonderland".

And we sure got that all at once.

I've made a mini-goal to lose 5 more lbs. by Christmas - that will put me at halfway to goal! Last week, with all the water I drank, was my lowest loss yet. Monday is my 3 month anniversary, and I'll be measuring, so I guess I have to focus on the small victories. 37 pounds in 3 months is 12 lbs/month or 3 lb/week. No other diet has EVER given me those results. I just talked myself back into being happy with my progress.

What a great achievement!!.

So sorry you're so sick.

Get well quickly!!.

Bobbi & Kai.

- I like what Candee said 'Just keep swimming'. I think of all the water you drink when I see that. Kee a goin' keep a goin' !!.

Enjoy the spa!!.

- an inspirational post -.

As usual.

All the rest of the crew.

Have a FABULOUS OP Day!..

Thats how it is here when it "snows" it is mushy, slushy and muddy. What a mess huh?.

Have a great OP and motivated day.....

Jan, I love your decorated ticker and signature, so cute! We finally got our tree done and today the Santas go up. Ugh! I loved the "idea" of collecting santas when I started several years ago, but now I really wonder what I was thinking!!.

Bobbi, yep, you keep on swiming, keep on swimming too! I am afraid I wouldn't be so easy going as you are, good for you! It will come off and most likey, will be a really big number. I usually split my l&g and it does work better for me..

I better run, I am working in my dd's class this afternoon..

Take care,.

Happy Wednesday everyone. I hope you all survived the weather of the last 24 hours or so. Snow through the middle of the country and lots of other places. I think I saw snow, rain, sleet and ice in the last 24 hours..

, I so hope that everyone in this crew makes it to goal! The great feelings I have about myself right now are so worth passing up all the off plan things Ive said no to in the last 8 months or so. I want to see everyone on the crew standing beside me!.

, hang in there. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I think moms and teachers should have super immune systems. I might need to get my students working on that research!.

, please tell me more about this heart monitor. I think I should get one. I just bought a new pair of sneakers with the Nike + feature. I think I need to buy something to put in my sneakers now. I know Heidi has one, so I just have to figure out what I need to buy. I think that my energy has dropped a little in the last week, which is why I am concerned about the calories.

I am bound and determined to run an entire 5 K come the spring. Congrats on your NSVs, inches and fitness!.

When you want to look at snow, just take a look at my page. I posted a picture of last weekends storm. It was a beautiful wet snow. Big flakes that cling to the trees. Now the snow that is left is dirty. Well at least I have the picture to enjoy..

, you may have saved yourself buying new clothes!.

, you are doing a great job! I think 5 pounds by Christmas is very doable. Well be hear to cheer you on..

Amy, Patty, Heidi, Casandra, Brenda, Debbie, Jocelyn.

And the rest of the crew, I am thinking about you and wishing you the best..

Have a great OP day!.

Hi Ladies,.

I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately! Report cards went home on Monday, and I really stressed myself out trying to assess 46 kids (2 classes of kindergarten) and then write report cards plus comments for each of them. It's been a BUSY few weeks. Sorry for the excuses, but I promise to be a better member of The Crew!.

Instead of going back to comment on all of the old posts, I will just pick up here, and try to keep up!.

Things have been moving along for me. It's been a pretty slow week...just 2 lbs, but those 2 lbs sure do add up! I'm not complaining! If I lost 2 lbs every week, I'd get to my goal in 14 weeks! VERY do-able. People at work have really started to comment on my weight loss, which feels very good! I was so happy to get back into all of my size 14s that have been too small and tight...and now they're starting to get loose! I'm going to need size 12s soon! I really LOVE Medifast!.

I just got my new food shipment yesterday, and it was like early Christmas. I got honey mustard pretzels and S'mores bars, which are 2 things I've never tried, so it was fun to add some new flavors to my "menu." It would be fun to hear what everyone's favorite Medifast meal is. I think my current favorite thing is the Chocolate Mint Crunch Bar..

What's yours?..

Hi Crew,.

Jocelyn - good to see you again..

Barb and Candee - With the Nike + you buy a "chip" that works with your ipod. If you have the nike shoe, there is an insert in the sole of the shoe. Or you can buy a "pouch" to tie onto other brand shoes. It will measure your distance, time, pace and calories. It even talks to you to tell you how you are doing during your walk/run. Now the heart monitor is an elastic band that you wear around (just under your breast) chest.

This is also handy if you are working out too hard, you can monitor your heart rate. It also keeps track of the time of your workout. I like the heart monitor because it works for all types of workout. I use Polar brand. The Nike works with walking or running, which is fun when you are trying to go the distance!.

Jan - you are doing great -5lbs by Christmas - no problem!.

Bobbi - how is it going this week. I just know one day soon you are going to report a mega lose!.

Hello Kai, Diana, Brenda, Patty, Cassandra and the rest of the crew..

With all the running around and birthday/Christmas shopping, I am having a tough time drinking enough water. Today I went to the movies with my DH for his birthday. I had to leave the movie 2x for potty breaks but still did not get in enough water today..

I will keep trying, as much as I love the holidays, they can't last forever!.

Wishing all a terrific Thursday - Thirst Thursday - drink that water!..

Good Morning, Crew!.

Today is yet another holiday challenge...it's our annual.

"Holiday Pig-Out".

At work. There's over 50 people that participate (just our floor & associated departments) and I can smell all the food from my cube which is on the other side of the building! My original plan was to bring a salad, eat at my desk, not in the food room, then do some Christmas shopping since this is a 'long lunch' event and everyone will be busy eating and visiting. But, I was overtaken by events and I can't leave the building.

So, I'm sitting at my desk, drinking my water (with the yummy Green Tea & Lemon flavor infusor) and eating a crunch bar (I'm still on mid-morning -w ay off schedule!!) It always helps to check in with the crew at times like this..

So, no shout-outs for now, I gotta get some work done, but thanks for being here and keeping me OP..

Good morning to all you ladies... I am op and drinking 120 oz of water. We have gone shopping every day this week. Its great, lots of walking around and seeing decorations.... last night was my grandsons christmas concert and that was so cute. It was the kindergarteners and first grade.

I am doing fine and staying op. I am not weighing in til sunday since I develop this obsession for the scale..

I am trying to keep very busy.... thanks for asking. I appreciate it. I can only hope that this will be the sunday that I start losing again. I am certainly doing all that I can..

I am gonna go grab a bite, Jan you are doing great avoiding all that food. Good job.

Thanks for the cheers everyone...the food room officially closed @1:30 while I was at my desk having my soup. It was somewhat disconcerting to have many of my colleagues question why I didn't go to the potluck, what was I doing having instant soup, etc. One woman even asked if I'd lost any weight...almost 38 lbs and she has to ask??.

I remember someone else a while ago complaining about the same thing-same weight, too..

But, I'm OK - I got through it and now I have meetings, meetings meetings where I will be the only one not in a food coma.

Thanks again to the ENTIRE CREW!!..

I have been at my DD house babysiting for three days, kinda hard to get on to post. Just caught up on everything. My DD is great about my diet. We plan meals so that I can stay OP. My grandson has to have a mid morning & mid afternoon "nack" with me. I got by fairly easy this time.

But I didn't so maybe I didn't do too bad. I will find out when I weigh tomorrow morning..

Barb your post about BLTs really hit home. When cooking off plan stuff for others I catch myself liking my finger etc. I really have to watch or I do it unconsciously. You have done such a good job of studying why the overweight. Your thoughts on it really help me. I think the quick weight loss is helping me stay OP too..

Diana: Hope you feel better soon..

Jan Sounds like you really did a good job staying OP today..

All of you who are drinking lots and lots of water are doing better than me. I just can't seem to get it all in when I am not home. I get in my 8 glasses & more but sometimes I just can't get in 100oz like I want...

Hi, Crew!.

I was looking through my closet today, and I put all of the clothes that I haven't worn in years to the front, so that I can focus on getting this weight off and fitting into them. It's a mental game for me. If I have my "overweight" clothes at the front, then I feel doomed to have to wear them forever. So, move over "fat clothes", it's time to make way for my "thin and healthy clothes." I like the idea of having "healthy clothes.".

Here's a little poem I came up with....

Healthy clothes.

Make me feel like I'm moving in the right direction.

Healthy clothes.

Warm my soul.

Like hot cocoa on a cold day.

Healthy clothes.

Soothe my anxiety.

Because I will wear them soon.

Healthy clothes.

I will wear you.

Without a button popping off.

Without holding in my breath.

Without a zipper malfunctioning.

Without unzipping jeans when I sit down.

Without the fabric being stretched when it shouldn't be.

Without wearing a girdle.

Without feeling self-conscious.

Healthy clothes.

I will wear you.

Without love handles sitting on top of you.

I will wear you.

Sooner than I think.

Because my body is transforming.

Before my very eyes..

I'm committed to getting to my goal!..

Jan, That was me that it happened to. I lost 38 pounds and family barely noticed. or said anything. So funny. 38 pounds is a huge success. Be proud! People tend to be scared talking about weight, even when it's a good thing..

Brenda, It helps when your husband is supportive of the diet. My husband is very supportive and often checks to see if I can have something before offering. So cute. He's upset with himself because he got green olives with pimientos. I'm not sure if I can eat the pimientos but I take them out and he hates that I have to do that. So cute..

Kai, isn't it fun seeing clothes you have not seen in forever. I have loved cleaning out my closet of clothes that are too big. I was doing it in big chunks. Now when I put something on that is too big, it goes straight to the Goodwill pile..

Well, I had the best NSV ever! I have been a large upper body and have had to shop at a specialty bra shop since high school. Well, I went into my bra shop to get a new bra and I'm one size over what I could get at Victoria Secret. I'm so happy. Maybe when I hit goal, I'll be able to shop at VS. SMILE..

I want a cocktail with everyone else, so I do! I have been jog/walking on my treadmill more & with increased time, that has helped. Thanks again to all the crew for helping me get through a challenging day. There will be many challenges in the next couple of weeks and checking in with you here on the board gives me the motivation to.

'just keep swimming'.

Sounds ike you have some Banana pants. Here's the definition I found on another thread....

Banana pants:.

Pants that you have while on Medifast that start out a little snug, fit great once or twice and then are too big, all in the span of a few weeks (like when you buy bananas at the store - they start out a little green, then you get them home and you have a day or two when they are just ripe enough, then they get brown and nasty and you have to throw them out).

Wow! It seems like just yesterday that you had lost 38 pounds and no one noticed and now you're down over 50!!!.

You'll be shopping at VS in no time.

, hang in there at the parties - it's a challenging time of year for that. Diet soda with a lime looks just like a cocktail and then you can be the designated driver.

, Great poem!! You'll be falling out of those healthy pants in no time!.

, Good luck on your weigh-in tomorrow. You're sure to go down some..

Hi Barb, Hi Bobbi, Hi Diana and all the rest of the crew!!.

Have a FABULOUS OP Day, one and all!!..

Happy Friday all. Friday morning brings my weigh in. Today was a strange feeling. No gainno loss. Just maintenance. OK, this is not a bad thing at all, just different.

I guess I just wasnt ready to stop losing weight. Ive never been at a point where I could stop losing weight. Ive never been to a point where I dont need to lose weight. This is really strange for me. I know that I am going to have to journal about this over the next few days.

, congrats on staying on plan. You are developing the skills to make it through this process..

, you are going to be enjoying your new clothes very soon. I love shopping now. My wardrobe is still very limited, but I am hoping to buy some things to fill out my winter wardrobe during the after Christmas sales..

, all my life, I had never shopped at Victorias Secret until August. I remember the feeling, it was one of the best NSVs Ive had through this whole journey. There is just something about the store that makes being able to shop there a great reward. You are going to love it!.

, hang in there. Have you tried to drink diet soda during a party? I have noticed that no one really notices what I am drinking at get togethers..

Good Morning all.

I have been swamped at work and work related stuff and have not had a minute to do anything..

I am getting a bit stressed, the holiday decorations are not up, christmas cookies are not started (yes I do make them, not eat them-many people look forward to getting them). I may limit the kind this year to cut down on the stress..

My christmas shopping is limited. "Calgon take me away!!".

I just want to pull the covers over my head and say happy new year and miss it all. But my son arrives home in a week and he has not been home in a year from college. I have seen him a couple of times during the year but he has not been home. I want the house looking festive when he arrives so I have a lot to do before next saturday. I can still be baking but the decorations need to be up. I am hoping for a llimited week of work.

I would like to do shout outs but I am just flying by, I did want to say CONGRATS to JAN for staying OP with all that food around- People can be so mean-you are doing a wonderful job with Medifast Keep up the good work..

I understand wanting to have the drinks. My big struggle is the eggnog. My husband makes it with Amaretto. And it's fabulous. I'm waiting for some eggnog flavor to arrive so I can make the Medifast eggnog to help, so I don't feel deprived at this time of year..

, I hope you feel very powerful right now. Imagine all the discipline you had avoiding the food at the party. Great Job! Thanks for the shout out on the 50pluss pounds gone. I feel good. I can't believe I'm here..

, I am worried that I will have a hard time accepting a no change on the scale. I would be great not to need a change, but like you, I don't think I've ever needed a no change on the scale, so the feeling would be weird. I'm interested to see how long before you can accept that there needs to be no change. I love that you are sharing your experience with us. As I get closer to goal, I'm starting to think more about what it will be like..

Brenda, good job on your weight loss and getting yourself back OP!.

, I too bake cookies and this year have decided to make less kinds to cut down on the stress. Enjoy your time with you son..

This week as been crazy for me and I have not had my normal workout time, which means I'm not getting in my weekly workout goal, but I'm working on posture and taking stairs when I can and I even parked really far away at work on Friday. The cold weather is making me not like the parking far away part, but I did do it one day this week. Happy weekend everyone...
