First question I have is Health and Fast Medifast recipes for the week (10-15 min preparation)? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. Second question.. I am 2 weeks PO and I have been released to puree foods and pretty much he said anything soft and not to swallow big chunks. I see my nut on Monday, but in the meantime I was wondering how much would you say I should eat? For example 1/4 cup per meal or more. My husband brought home pintos and cheese from Taco Bell and I never felt the full feeling. I probably could have eaten the whole thing, but I didn't.

Is that too long? Sorry for all of the questions, I don't want to mess this up..

Thank you!!!.

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..

I was told 1/4 cup and to wait 2 minutes in between. If you take to long in eating it, you'll be "grazing" and that is a big no no. I was told after 20 mins, if I wasn't done to get rid of it...

And the dissenter :).

My nutritionist suggested 1/2 a cup or 3 to 4 oz depending on density..

PS. I wait two min between bites and it seems like an eternity. Kudos on 5 min...

2 weeks out...1/4 cup was it.....

You got it....

I never used a timer....

If I wait too long in between bites, like five minutes, I might as well give it up...I am three months out now, and struggle to get in 1/2 cup at a time, because of that whole waiting between bites thing. it's great for weight loss, but now I can't eat what I am suppose to...I feel like I am always trying to eat something, and I still never get more than 800 calories a day...crazy how things change...

I was told 3 tablespoons so what ever that equals. My problem is I eat TOOOOOO fast and I am in pain after everymeal. If I eat at work on the phone my breakfast, it takes a long time and it goes down great. I think I am going to try the timer thing. !!..

I was told 4 tablespoons of Medifast food at a sitting ... or roughly a 1/4 cup. I havent been measuring my Medifast food (which is probably bad). I put everything I eat on a small plate or small bowl(havent used any regularly sized dishware or utensils in weeks!) and eat slowly. I typically give myself 20-30 minutes for a meal. I am not focusing on clearing my plate, whatever is left at the end of that time period either gets wrapped up for later, or thrown away...

My soft/pureed portions are:.

1/4c, or 4T or 2 oz. of anything that was once solid, like tuna or eggs..

1/c, or 8T or 4 oz. of liquids, such as soups...

2-4 T. per meal..

My plan says to stick to protien..

I can only eat 2 1/2 - 3 T. and I'm full. I'm 10 days post op..

Tonight I'm going to throw out some leftover tuna salad and SF jello because I couldn't finish it all..

And I don't time my meals or worry about how much time between bites. I just make sure that the Medifast food I swallow is completely in a liquid-like state..

Of course, I wait 1/2 hour after dinner to start drinking any water again..

This helps!..
