Got a quick question: How many Medifast Diet meals do I have to eat to loose 30-50 pounds? Hoping for any comment. My 2nd question... Hi Girls -. |
I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..

Waiting for the "historic", "impressive" storm that is coming our way. Could be anywhere from 1/4" to over 1" of ice/and 6" to 20" of snow, depending on where it decides to go by tomorrow. That is what the forecasters have been talking about for the past 4 days or so. We got a little sleet/rain today, but nothing earthshattering so far. Hopefully we will get more snow than ice. Who knows until it actually gets here. That is all...
Well, so much for the "Storm of the Century" for us. We got some ice and sleet and very little snow. I think it all went all around us for some reason. It is very cold, and what did land here will be here for awhile. I think I would have preferred no ice and a lot more snow than this stuff. Roads are good for the most part, so can't really complain, although DH did get stuck in our own driveway yesterday.
I am getting cabin fever and REALLY need to get out of here soon! Only go outside with the dog and to feed the birds.. DH said he was bringing some Popeye's chicken home, so that will be my last hurrah until I lose this weight. Gonna hook up the "Just Dance" on wii and see how it goes. Hope I don't kill myself. Have a good week everyone and weekend coming up!.. |
Hi Ladies -.
Dimples. - I hear you about bracing for the storm and not much happening. The same was true here b/c we were supposed to get ice and snow and got very little of anything. So cool on the gift baskets and way to go on getting rid of all the extra clothes etc...Did you sign up for the Biggest Loser Challenge at your gym?. I've decided to motivate myself. I worked out 3 nights this week so far and am going to push for a 4th night/day. I tried to support a friend who started a training business but it hasn't been working out so I'm going to have to "fire" her.. So far, I've lost 3 lbs this week so I'm 1.6 lbs away from matching my ticker... |
Hi My Fave Sexy Beasts!.
Dimples. - thanks for being on top of things and directing Ilopez over here.. How are you coming along? Haven't heard from you in a few days, so I hope all is well. Did you sign up for the biggest loser challenge? I saw the HGTV dream home. I wish I had the luck to win one of those! I tried to score the NYC pad they had last year LOL - clearly with no such luck.. Ilopez. - wonderful hearing from you!! I hear you about the gain. I've never been so close to 200 either and I'm determined to get it off. I wonder if it's the fact you lose so fast b/c you are on such a drastically reduced caloric intake rate? I've read articles about that being a major cause for rapid gain once you get off of a plan.. CONGRATS. On the dedicated gym going!!! It only takes 21 days to make a habit and it sounds like you've done just that! You've inspired me! I'm also happy to hear you are smoking less.. Meal Plan. - that's pretty much what I do. I use either frozen diet products for breakfast and/or lunch and use the Medifast shakes and Luna Bars as supplements. I think that's a great plan!. DD. - How wonderful that this is DD's prom year. Speaking of, how is she doing? Is she happy at her school? Hopefully so!. Makeup. - you can check out people on Wedding Wire.com or some of your local salons. They usually charge about $75 for prom makeup. Another alternative - something I see girls here do all the time for their homecomings and/or proms is to visit a Sephora or store counter be it MAC or Bobbi Brown (I'm partial to Bobbie over MAC myself) and let them make her up. It can cost you anywhere from $25 or more depending on what you buy afterwards. While it's not mandatory, it's a quiet expectation that you'll purchase some if not all of the products used in the make-over. Generally, I tell people to just stick to whatever you know you'd realistically use regularly and only buy those things (e.g., gloss & lip pencil and/or blush)... |
Oh almost forgot my accountability report:.
1) Did some walking this weekend because we had to park a good distance from the convention center to check out a wedding trade show for business ideas.. 2) Had a low-cal SuperBowl b/c I made low calorie chili and other foods so the weight is holding steady.. 3) Going to get new earbuds to replace the ones I lost - but can't tell the BF b/c he brought the ones I have to replace the ones that were lost in Egypt. 4) Going to hit the gym in my bldg this pm and push myself to do 45 min or longer of cardio. I want to end February by weighing 10 lbs less.. I had to fire my friend that I hired to be my trainer. She didn't really do her job and it'd been since before xmas that she'd done my initial consultaion and session with her. Now she wants to work out a new schedule etc. I'm over it. I just hope she doesn't drag out refunding me b/c I paid her for all 6 sessions in cash up front. Note to self NOT to do that again and just pay as I go... |

Taking a little break from the decluttering; keep finding stuff that I didn't know I had. Awesome! Another few bags to Catholic Charities and another filling up for Salvation Army. I'm going to check out the store up town to see what they need as well..
Biggest loser starts Monday, so am going to sign up and weigh in this week. Going to DGD's volleyball game tonight; her little sister's school tomorrow for Grandparent's day activity; and to see a movie on Thursday with my SIL and cousin. Not sure what else. DD needed some info from us as she is changing her name today; (sad in some way, I guess the final deal that she is now a married woman and not my little girl anymore; She did say she is not changing her name on her license plate though, so that is good. LOL). The biggest loser this time is anonymous and private; no winner, but for every pound the group loses, money goes to a charity; so everyone wins in the end. I need something to motivate me; so if it is to help someone else, that's a good thing. I have to check my supplies; I like the plan you guys have going (Keish and Ilopez) might work...... Keish; you have so much going on right now, don't you? Good for you with your plan. It is never ending, isn't it? I hope you work something out with your friend or get your money back asap. Always difficult working with friends and/or family, isn't it? Good Luck!. Ilopez: Hope you are still not smoking and are on track again. WHy is it so easy to regain and SO hard to lose it again? Doesn't seem fair.. You will have to post pix of your beautiful daughter again. Hard to believe she is old enough to go to prom. It is so hard to see them grow up, but so rewarding at the same time when they do well! ''. They keep replaying Christina A botching the National Anthem; it was awful all the way around. She has a great voice; wish she would stop oversinging everything; or as my DS says, "stop with the vocal gymnastics". I must be out of it; I didn't think the BEP's were ok at half-time. Oh well. What do I know?. Hope Kty and Susan check in soon as well. Miss you guys.. Break is over; back to work!.. |
Dimples.
- I can only hope that my life is as rich with friends and family as yours!. It's really beautiful to read about all that you do and have going on with your friends and family. I'm also impressed and inspired by your decluttering...definitely need to do the same on my end, though mostly paper related. I can only imagine how weird it is to change the name you've had for all/most of your life. That's really cool your Biggest Loser challenge is charity related! That's something (charity/volunteer work) I want to get more involved with. I've been thinking about joining Big Brothers Big Sisters for a while but can't figure out if I want to make that big of a commitment yet. On a random note, I'm still hoping for a major snow, just to have some quality time at home, though I'm doubtful. It's still nice just wish it were more.. Accountability:. Doing poorly this week - no working out. While I have new music on the ipod, I still can't find the really expensive earbuds the BF got me to replace the ones I lost. So now I have to buy new ones. I'm heartbroken.. And I guess that's just an excuse. I gotta get last week's motivation back... |
Keish: Here I was thinking that I don't do much, especially in the winter. Keep thinking that I should get more involved in the community. When the kids were little, I think I was more involved. Now that I don't work anymore, I seem to waste more time. Oh well..
Went to a magic show on Wednesday at my DGD's school and then bought her some books at their book fare. Yesterday my SIL and I went to see "The King's Speech" and then had dinner out. I wasn't sure if I would like the movie; but it was very good!. Today the guys are fixing our furnace, which has been out for two weeks. Well, we were on electric heat, instead of the ground water deal, so I hate to see my power bill this time. Might have to sit down for that one. Since it is off completely today, I am sitting in front of the fireplace with my hot drink. Always something. Had to get a new DW and a new garbage disposal so far this year. Still haven't gotten back on track; biggest loser starts officially on Monday, and I guess I am just bound and determined to wait until Monday to start!. Keish; maybe you need to just enjoy the weekend and start in again next week too! Hope you find those earbuds soon. How are things going with the BF these days? Good, I hope. When you stop working out, isn't it SO hard to get back into it? I have just been dragging my feet, finding all kinds of excuses to go back.. Still going through stuff, so better get back at it and decide what we can eat tonight that is healthy. Have a great weekend!.. |
Hi.
Dimples. - looks like it's back to being just the two of us. No worries. I'm sorry for the lag in updates. The weekend was nice. I sadly gained back almost all that I'd lost. The BF wanted me to have something to open on the actual holiday and thought decadent red velvet cupcakes were a "good idea"....mind you he's on me about losing too! LOLOLOL I didn't get angry or anything b/c the presents he gave me over dinner that Friday were great. You. - I don't see how you think you stay still and don't do much. You make me feel like such a slacker b/c there is ALWAYS something going on whether it's your family or friends. You always have something going on which is great!!!. I've given up this week. I'm in a mood and just can't get past it. I don't care about much right now. I know it will pass. In the meantime I'm just doing what I need to, to maintain at work and on the weight front... |
Hi Keish: Sounds like the BF was trying to do a good thing, even if he DID get you the cupcakes. Hope you cut him some slack there. He must have done well on the other things though. Yay for him!!! Hope everything is going well on that front..
My DH got me a doz. of those chocolate covered strawberries, since I happened to mention them one day. They were awesome! I think he got them for me because he wanted some too. LOL.. I've also been in a mood for the past few weeks, off and on. Maybe it is just the weather; at least I hope that is it. Most of the time just going to the gym in the morning gets me motivated to get more things done at home. I am going to try for 4 days a week right now. I dread getting up early and going out, esp. when it is cold; but I always feel better afterwards. Kind of quiet lately, although some friends and I did get together a couple of times last weekend, since our DHs were busy doing their own things. It was nice to get out; other than that, haven't done much. I actually enjoy doing nothing at times. I like the peace and quiet!. Better get ready for bed. I won't go there, but at least I'll be ready when I do decide to hit the rack. Last night I was up until 3:30 watching movies; don't need to do that again... |
Hi.
Dimples. - sorry I was MIA. My niece had a swim meet over the long weekend and unfortunately I got sick. It was like a sauna in there but she did pretty well! While I dislike getting sick, it was for a worthy cause...supporting her and my sister.. BF - yeah it was coming from a good place so I cut him slack and snacked on them despite the cost to my scale numbers. But I'm happy that I'm back down as of this am so I only have 4.4 more lbs to go before I'm past the ticker. My BFF in NYC has joined a gym and has this week off - she's a teacher - so she's been motivating me to go "with" her by working out on my own and we report in to each other. she goes during the day right now plans to keep going once school resumes.. Y. E. A. Y. On going to the gym 4 times a week. I'm super impressed and motivated by that! I'm so proud of you - you were the person who complained about the gym in the past! *big HUG*. I wish I could get up and go in the am's. I like that time of day as well though I always want a nap afterwards... |
Not doing so well with the weight loss for the biggest loser contest so far; will have to really step it up the next two weeks. I can buy a tee shirt though so they will get an extra 10 bucks. Still going to the gym though; never give up. There is a woman there who has lost almost 100 lbs. just walking on the treadmill. Slow and steady; so there is hope for me too..
Even if I don't get skinny, my BP should improve; right? So it is all good!. Can't wait for spring so I can work outside; so tired of being cooped up inside; way too cold and windy for me.. Keish: So proud of you for getting the weight back down. Way to go! The exercise really does make the difference, so hope you find the time to continue. Even if I hate going, I always feel better afterwards. How is everything else going with you girl?. Hope everyone else is doing well, wherever you are and whatever you are doing... |
Hi.
Dimples. - you inspired me. I went to the gym and really pushed myself. I did 45 min of cardio. I want to get to the point where I do 1 hour to 1 hour and 45 min straight. I have to admit, it really did feel good afterwards though I was so physically drained I could barely get on the elevator to get upstairs. I'm down 1lb and small change as a results. My bff in NYC joined a gym last week and has been pushing herself to go 5-6 times/week. She's on Day 8 of going straight so I told her I'd be her virtual gym buddy since we both do evenings.. Dimples. - slow and steady is right. That's what I told myself when I couldn't handle full on running and sprinting so I just jogged till I couldn't then power walked on the treadmill.. WE WILL DO THIS. !!!.. |
Yay for Keish: good job! There are days when I get through my cardio easily and then like today: it was all I could do to get it done. I am going to make myself do 5 days this week; and I am using my Medifast meals (oatmeal, pancakes, cappucino and tomato soup) again and eating my one meal at night; maybe that will help; also drinking a ton of water again. Something has got to give pretty soon! We will just keep at it!!!!..
Go.
Dimples. Go!!! With doing Medifast meals AND working out 5 days you DEFINITELY should see a nice loss at the end of those 5 days! I'm so impressed and proud of you. Who knows, you may come back to be in the running for your gym's Biggest Loser. I hear you about some days being easier than others. I really pushed myself the first day and did really well! Yesterday, it was all I could do to make it through 30 min let alone 40! I cut it short and didn't go too hard b/c I knew I had to meet the BF. I was proud of myself for not abandoning the workout to wait for him. I was able to do get in a decent cardio session, hang out, AND see a 1 lb loss this am. I'm hoping to hit the 180's by the weekend. I'm at 191.6 as of this am.. How's your family doing? Do they know you are doing the Biggest Loser challenge at the gym?.. |
Friday *bump*.
No gym or workout of any kinda last night - had something after work that ran over. I'm going to try to get one in tonight after I stop by a friend's jewelry party post work.. HAPPY WEEKEND!.. |
Better post before the storm/tornado or whatever gets here. I really do not like all of this dangerous weather lately..
Made it to the gym 4 times this week; missed today because I think I am getting the darn drainage/cold junk again and had a headache. Maybe it is this stupid weather, barometric pressure or something. I was going to go this afternoon until the weather reports made me decide to just stay home. Staying with the diet program so far; hopefully I will drop at least a couple of lbs. by Monday when I will check in on the weight again.. Yesterday I actually walked over 2 1/2 miles at less than the 20 minute mile rate, plus did the inclines more often. Next time I will try for the full 3 miles at that speed. I also did some of the weight machines.. Wow the sky is looking very bad, so I am going to get off here and prepare for the basement if necessary. Storms are moving very fast. Have a good weekend!.. |
Dimples.
- Way to go on your workout! That sounds fantastic! As for the weather, yeah we got those storms over the weekend, mainly Sunday. BF and I were unfortunately out in it all day. It was just messy. No gym for me this weekend. Plan to get back on track today!.. |
We lucked out as far as the storms went; some thunder and lightening with rain, but nothing else around here; Yay!.
Keish: Sounds like you got the same thing we did with the weather; always seems to mess up the weekends though. Winter is still here too.. Went out Sat. night and woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat, and all the cold symptoms again. Rats! Feel better today and should go work out later; will probably make me feel better.. Sunday DS came over with the little grandkids; they are so funny and SO different, personalitywise. Never know what they will do or say, that is for sure.. Gotta get going to the store; need to buy some healthy stuff for the week so I will lose a few by the end of the contest. Have a good week!.. |
Dimples.
- yeah. thankfully I didn't get sick. I felt a little scratchy because I wasn't entirely dressed appropriately. it was a ton of quick running in and out of the rain to my car or a building.. GO YOU. On getting healthy foods. I plan to stop at "Whole Paycheck" tonight aka "Whole Foods" lolol on my way home. My lower back and tum seem to be giving me the most drama today. C'est la vie right?. I am so beyond proud of you pushing and going to the gym to work out and eating right! Keep up the fantastic and inspiring work!.. |
Rainy, gloomy day; supposed to get some storms, but hopefully they don't materialize..
Getting over the cough etc., so will go back to the gym tomorrow; need to catch up after taking a few days off with this stuff. My entire body hurt this weekend and I was beyond tired. This stuff is very annoying, especially in the mornings, and it is so hard to get out of bed when it is cold and dreary outside. Have to work through it now that I actually feel better. GO, GO, GO!!!!. Ash Wednesday tomorrow, so should have a good treat tonight, right? Should be the absolute best time to kick it up a few notches for many reasons; now I just need to do it!. DGD's 7th grade volleyball team won their sectional last night, so they will go to State this weekend. That should be interesting; hope they do well!. Whole Foods; Ha Ha! We don't have one around here, so can't relate to that, but prices are going up in ALL the darn stores; another incentive for not eating as much. May have to put in a large garden this spring.. Keish: Hang in there; if I can do this, I KNOW you can. Of course you have less time with your jobs and busy life.. Better get ready to call it a night, so I actually CAN get up early in the morning. I need to stop being such a night owl!.. |
Hi.
Dimples. -. Storms - we definitely got them! I think it came from the south b/c I talked w/ a friend in Atlanta the other day and she had bad rain. We have it today. Thankfully it stops late tonight - I've been blessed with another commercial shoot for Friday and Saturday. I believe they (well tomorrow's anyway) is outdoors b/c the head makeup artist I'm working with mentioned it'd be cancelled if it did rain.. Sick - glad to hear you are on the mend and heading back to the gym! I forgot about ash wednesday.. Major. CONGRATS. To DG and her team! That's fantastic.. Gym - thanks Dimps....I really need to get back on track work out wise. I'm sick of being on the scale roller coaster. I'm up today.. |
Monday Bump!.
No working out in the conventional sense for me. I was working on a shoot for the last 3 days and that's a workout in and of itself. I'm holding steady and almost caught up to my ticker.. Dimples. - did DG's team play this weekend!? If so I hope they won. Hope you are doing well... |
Hi ya Keish: The girls did play on Saturday, but they lost, so didn't get to the finals. Sometimes they play like champs, the next time they look like it is their first game; middle school kids. They had a great season, so it's all good! Now DGD is in track, so she has moved on..
Had her bro and sis yesterday, as both were sick. Hopefully they are better today; I don't have them, so don't know if they went back to DC and pre-school, or if someone else is watching them. I think little gd was sicker with different symptoms than gs. Always something with the little ones; they get exposed to everyone else's germs every day.. Have to clean the house and get rid of more stuff today; it is gloomy and cold outside, so a good day to work inside. Have to weigh in tomorrow or Thursday for the final "Lose" thing. Hopefully I have dropped a few lbs. for charity.. Glad you had another gig so you are doing well with the "second" career. Yay! Sounds like you are also doing well with the ticker. I am trying to get mine to move the right way as well.. Have a happy St. Patrick's Day on Thursday. Now I gotta go do something productive. Didn't get anything done yesterday with the little ones here... |
Hi.
Dimples. GD - sorry her team lost. Maybe it will teach them to be more consistent in their playing. It's unfortunate. Perhaps the excitement and nervousness got the best of them. Atleast they made it that far though. She sounds super busy/active. Little gs and gd - yeah you are so right about them being exposed to germs. There is a woman in my office that annoys me because she passes germs to and from her grandkids all the time. She visits them out of state often and whenever she comes back, she comes to the office with something horrid like Bronchitis, Strep, etc...it's disgusting. She won't stay home but will be the first to lecture someone else for coming in sick.. Biggest Loser - I am sure you will have a nice loss given the work you put in over the last few weeks.. I can't wait to hear how you did.. I didn't go to the gym last night -work and an errands but will try to make it tonight... |
Babysat again today only with both gds. Little one was better, but than older one had fever, headache and stomachache. Hard not to pass stuff around at home. Baby gs was back at daycare and doing great! My other two gkids are coming on Friday, so I hope everyone is well by then. Seems like all sorts of stuff going around the area. I was hoping it had been cold enough for long enough to kill off most of this junk..
Got warm this afternoon, but windy; tomorrow is supposed to be in the 70's; hope so. I have to weigh tomorrow for Biggest Loser, so we shall see how I did. I'm sure not as well as I had hoped, because I even gained the second week; maybe it's more muscle and less fat. We shall see....Didn't get to workout every day like I wanted to due to watching the kiddos, so I will have to go the next two days for sure.. Really tired tonight, so need to take a shower and go to bed earlier than I usually do; I need to catch up before the other clan gets here on Friday. Yowsa!. If I don't get back here, have a great weekend Keish! Looks like it is just us two. Wish I knew how everyone else is doing these days... |
Hi.
Dimples. - yeah for a minute it looked like they were coming back and then poof. Oh well. I like it small - makes it easier to stay in the loop LOL. I hear you about it being cold enough to kill all the germs. I don't think we got enough snow to do that. On top of that, this portion of the east coast has become infested with Stink Bugs. They are so gross. Now that it's warming up, they are springing up everywhere - even the hotel that I worked out of for the commercial shoots last weekend. Just goes to show just how those things manage to be EVERYWHERE.. Loser - good luck on your weigh in. I'm sure you'll surprise yourself, even if it is a muscle gain, that's great!. Weather - never ceases to amaze how similar our weather patterns are. We are warming here as well. Today's in the mid 60's and tomorrow is supposed to make it to the 70's... |
Hi Keish: Had a busy week watching sick grandkids a few days and then the MI kids all were here for the long weekend. We were in and out of the house doing something or having everyone here for dinner and basketball and having the kids all playing. Good times. This week cleaning out the garage and house, hair cut, working two days, so today I better get with it back in the garage. Its sort of fun "shopping" in the boxes, as I never know what I am going to find..LOL.
Stink Bugs? What do they look like/ Doesn't sound like something I want to find anywhere, like bed bugs either.. The little girls found some of those darn lady bugs in the house and spazzed out. Only two were alive, the rest probably died over the window and fell on the floor from wherever they were hiding all winter. I think a few fell when I turned on the attic fan one day to air out the house. I am always vacuuming the darn things and then two seconds later some more show up, esp. in the Fall. Maybe they are trying to get outside now that it is warm outside. Managed to lose 5 lbs during the contest, but probably gained them all back over the weekend; am afraid to weigh myself. I'm going to order just a few things from Medifast that I really like and get back on track for the next month. I just need that jump start along with the exercise! I was ready to get outside since we had a few warm days, but now I hear it is going to get cold again with some snow; I hope that is wrong!.. |
Dimples.
- man we are on the same weather pattern despite being across the country from one another. They are calling for snow here too! We've been having weather in the 50's and 60's and now it's dropped to daily highs in the upper 40's. They are calling for snow on Sunday am and again on Monday! Insane. My BFF in NYC was complaining this week because while we had rain, she had to deal with freezing rain, sleet AND snow! She thinks it's winter's way of giving us a grand finale LOL.. Sounds like you've been busy as usual.. MAJOR. CONGRATS. On the 5 lb loss. Just get back on the fitness wagon and watch what you eat and I'm sure you'll be there or maybe even surprise yourself and lose even more!. Stink bugs - no these things aren't cute like lady bugs at all. They are a flat grey triangle like shape (think of baby guitar picks) but not really smooth. They are gross looking but totally harmless other than the stinch they give off if you crush them... |
Hi Ladies,.
I see you all are still around!!! I am getting started again on my Medifast journey. I am glad the "Sexybacks" are still going strong.. Take care... |
Hey there girl! Glad to see you are back! Join us as it seems only Keish and I have been conversing lately. My DH and I are going to the gym now, so I am trying to get back on track yet again. I really need to get back on program full speed ahead to make it work though..
Welcome back; would love to hear what you are up to.. Keish; I hope you are enjoying a great weekend. We had some really cold temps and some snow; DUH! It melted, but it is still cold. Hard to take after a few days in the 80's. Mother Nature is really giving us the business!. Am going to check my supply of Medifast foods and make out an order for only the things that I REALLY love and know that I will eat or drink. Still have some older things that I am trying to get rid of. Hang in there everyone... |
Morning!.
Angelita. - thanks for popping in! Like Dimples said, give us a yell or join us...we'd love to have you though it does seem like it is just the two of us with a few pop-in's here and there.. Dimples. - we didn't get ANY snow though it was certainly cold enough. The weather reports said our area did but I didn't see any when I was out and about on Sunday. I was a bit annoyed too because I put off getting my car washed in anticipation. Oh well. I just realized where St. Louis is on the "map" and I kinda get why we seem to be on the same weather pattern - we are closer than I thought and on a straight line from one another. Dorky I know... |
Nothing going on right now, running around and finishing random things this week. Monday starting back on the Medifast and the gym. Have a great weekend everyone...
*80+ degrees yesterday and barely 40 degrees today. Ridiculous! Storms through the night..ARGGHHH! Mother Nature is very confused it seems...
Hi.
Dimples. - we have your 80 that will turn to 50 overnight into tomorrow. I had training over the weekend...now the start of a new week. Are you going to the gym?.. |
Sorry Keish; seems like we are the only two again. I have not gone to the gym this week yet, but am getting it together with MF. I found some bars and cappucino that I thought I used already. Geez!.
I have revived my interest in quilting again, so just finished two baby quilt tops this week. Now have to quilt them.. Had a bear of a time with the backing on one of them, since I had to piece it, but it came out fine using some extra blocks. It would have been much easier to cut down one of the borders. Oh well; I seem to do everything the hard way.. So nice outside, but it probably wont last again; supposed to rain/storm again. This is just the nuttiest weather; yuk!. How have you been doing? Sticking with it and going to the gym again? Saw your pix on FB; you look wonderful!. I threw out some junk that I found in the garage. Can you believe I had a box of notes that I had taken from school; have to check it out; either from the early 60's or from grad school in the 80's; either way, they need to go. Can't believe they are still out there. Good Lord!.. |
Hey.
Dimples. - I agree, definitely just the two of us. If you want, you can join the goal getters. They seem really nice. I've posted there a few times. I just feel weird leaving the Sexy's completely though. I hope that makes sense. I'm not myself as of late. At times I feel as if I am coming unhinged but this too shall pass. I just need/want some major changes to come but know I have to wait for God's perfect timing or as some say "universal" timing. Whatevs.. On a positive note, I found a new trainer - she lives in my bldg and will work with me for a lesser rate than she quoted me, so I'll be training with her for 2 nights a week for one month. Hopefully that will get me in the groove of things. The BF promised that he'd help train me (ex naval officer) but I've yet to see that in action. I'm hoping my trainer will be the trick I need. I also took advantage of a deal to learn a new form of Israeli defense. One way or another, I'm determined to get down to a sexier slimmer me. Ok enough rambling. Thanks for posting. It was nice here but is expected to be rainy here. Miss you.. |

Hi Keish: Hope you had a good weekend. Not sure what we should do about our 2 person thread. What do you want to do? I wish everyone had not deserted us. Oh well!.
It was hot this weekend, so we did some yard cleanup stuff; quiet weekend all around. Thinking about what to do for Easter right now. Not much else going on around here, which is a good thing I suppose; no drama! LOL.. How about you? Still working two jobs? Sounds like things are good with the BF, and I'm glad that you are working out again. You are doing better than I am in that department right now. I have been sort of lazy lately as far as working out; so gotta rev it up again SOON!. Have a good week; and think about what you want to do here. I don't think I want to join another thread, since I don't know anyone and probably take too much time on the computer as it is. Maybe if I was back on the program 100% I would do that. Not sure.. Had storms last night, but not too bad, thankfully! I think we are supposed to get some more later this week. Bummer!.. |

Hi.
Dimples. -. Sorry was quiet there for a bit. I had a FANTASTIC weekend once I was finally able to get it started. I had to tie up lose ends on the work front then headed to a GREAT spa resort on our eastern shore with a friend. It was JUST what we both needed - very peaceful and relaxing. The spa treatments were fantastic as well. We only had one day that was warm. Thread - I defer to you. I don't get on FB much and just hate the thought of disbanning our little thread. But at the same time, I see your point re it being just the two of us. It definitely doesn't seem like anyone new is joining or the others are coming back.. Workout - HA! I hadn't done much and am now facing crisis mode so I started tonight with a new trainer. She lives in my bldg so it's great b/c we just meet in our gym here. She is GOOD! It hurts to walk right now. I've only had one session but it's definitely going to be just what I needed and her rate is beyond reasonable.. How are you?.. |

I'm guessing the thread is officially dead - I'll keep checking but well, "farewell for now". I will respond if someone else posts but no more lonely "bumps"...

Hi Keish:.
If you still want to chat on here, I'm game. I think it is sort of difficult to say much on FB, unless you message someone all the time.. Had a quiet weekend here. Watched the 4 yr.old and 1 yr. old on Friday evening; they are both so fun. It did storm for awhile though, and the dgd was a little bit afraid of that. She stayed really close to me; thankfully, it didn't last long; then all was well again. I don't like storms either, so can't say that I blame her one bit.. Went shopping on Saturday; can't believe how much I "saved" at Kohls. LOL. Cleaned out the garage on Sunday and found some maternity clothes that I had worn in the 70's. How pitiful is that? Now you know why it takes me so long. I have stuff I swore I gave away years ago. Last week I found notes that I had taken in class in the 60's. Too bad I'm not famous. Maybe then that stuff would be worth something.. Gotta go take the dog to the vet for her shots, so will get back to you asap. Hope you are having a good week, so far... |

Dimples and Keisha, how are you ladies doing? I see that you ladies have kept up the sexy ladies thread..
I don't know why I am here today but I am and came across the thread.. I am glad to hear you ladies are doing well and that you are still fighting the good fight.. As you know, I am fighting the good fight. I have joined a the gym and I have been going regularly 5 days a week. I have lost 17 pounds since January. But more importantly, I am giving up my cravings/desires for sweets and white flour. I want to not only lose weight but I want to lose the weight and keep it off and feel good. I don't want to struggle with my weight in another 10 years. I know it sounds cliche but Medifast wasn't working. On medifast I gained and lost 30 pounds in the same year. Also have been working on the things that trip me up and make me fail once I am high up on my wagon.. Anyways, enough of me. I just wanted to let you ladies know what I am up and how I am doing and to know about you ladies. I promise I will check back. Have a great Easter !!!!.. |

Hi Ilopez; so glad htat you stopped in again and really happy that you are doing so well. I was doing fine at the gym, but have been slacking the past few weeks. I am going to start back every day after Easter..
I just stopped in here to wish everyone a very Happy Easter now, since I probably won't get back on here until next week; too many things to do, places to go, people to see; you know the drill!. Keish: Happy Easter to you too! And anyone else who may stop by... |

Found it Keish: I guess I had the last post on the other thread..
Hope I don't drive anyone away. Had a bad day all around today; Glad it is almost over.. Just chillin now, going to have a pepsi or a glass of wine; can't decide!. Made 5 gift baskets with DD last night for a fund raiser next week. We had a soup and pizza night and a nice visit. Can't seem to get back on track after Christmas. The gym is having a Biggest Loser contest in February; I am going to sign up. I need the incentive to get with it; the contest will keep me accountable, since I can't seem to do it on my own right now.. Also gave away a total of 8 very large garbage bags full of clothes; also towels, sheet sets, shoes and purses, plus a box of decorative items that I don't like anymore. Still much more to go through; found stuff in my closet that I forgot I owned. Ridiculous! Some people will be very happy to have it. I still have a large container of clothing to take to a resale/consignment shop in the city.. Finally got my hair done this week. It was WAY overdue. I feel a little more human again.. Watching the HGTV dream home show. Its a ski home, sleeps 14, in Stowe, Vt. It is really nice; PLUS you get a car and $500,000 in cash. It is awesome! Views are spectacular too>. Well, I hope everyone has a nice weekend. It is cold here with snow still on the ground, but the roads are great. We are supposed to get an "Impressive" snow storm this coming week, which doesn't sound too promising. We shall see!.. |
