Nice idea, BT!.

Ok, I'll checkin. Been a pretty good week diet-wise. I spent some time looking over my old Medifast recipes and spent time on the MMM recipe thread copying a bunch of new ones. (BTW, I posted some of your holiday recipes in the Vanilla Pudding thread) I had gone through a long and frustrating stall where I wasn't losing too much and I was just bored with my food. So I went to work to fix that!.

I usually eat my Medifast meals rather plain but it seemed time to break out the recipes again. Made different flavored Lydiaa's shake n bake cookies almost every day, some pancakes, pistachio scones, and your Pumpkin Spice muffins w/the chai latte. And I worked on some creative L&Gs. Also did some work to better organize my exercise routines by setting up a little workout area in the basement and finding all my workout DVDs so I could actually use them! LOL.

I'm glad to see the boards pickiing up and that has helped to get me rolling again. On to next week!!..

God love ya, Tamby! I gladly and humbly donate the motto for this group, and your bunny dance is a MUST DO when we go on our Medifast cruise..

You are SO inspirational...all of you 'big kids' on this page are. Bea turned me on to your recipes for on the go as I travel a lot for my work. I'm a fat comic who may be shrinking herself right out of a job, but oh well!.

Being funny and slim are not mutually exclusive concepts, right???.

Water cooler check-in, like the guys...I LOVE this idea (insert bodily functions or scratching here....)! Well, today was weigh in day #2. I've been great on plan this week, I'm still a honeymooner. However, have been CURSED by TOM (Time Of Month, fellow newbies...took me a bit to figure that out!), and retaining gallons of water so only lost 2 lbs this week. Siiiiiiigh. Initially depressed, but thought, 'WAIT A TICK! I've lost 16 flippin' lbs F-O-R-E-V-E-R!' I did your bunny shake, blew a kiss at the shrinking chick in the mirror and got on with my day. Preparing my food now for tomorrow, and feeling generally good about taking better care of myself than possibly ever before..

Besides my DH, this "club" and this page are, quite literally, the ONLY ones in my life who know what I'm doing don't have the guts to let family and friends "in" yet. I will NEVER be able to articulate how much it means to have this community. Thank you all..

SO in keeping with the guys' water cooler check in, I'll give you each a high five, a pat on the butt, and a 'go get 'em, Slugger!'.

Well, eventho, as of today, I only have 85 left to go ("only" - HA!) I plan to stick in the 100+ cause you all understand that it is the entire journey and not just the current weight. Your faces are familiar and comforting..

Also as of today, I have lost ALL 52 pounds of post-baby weight. I finally got new undies last weekend and think they feel fairly large on me.... My next mini-goal is to lose the baby weight (about 35 pounds) and to get to the next size of undies..

So if you all don't mind me hanging around, stirring things up a little, I'll be here for another year or so...

Count me in too!.

Jenny, I just had to laugh. This very morning I admitted to my spouse how uncomfortable my underwear was! He laughed, but I was serious!!! They are saggy and baggy, and I can't wait to hit the stores and find some funky undies!!!!.

My trip to Boston was terrific. I did color outside the lines a bit where it came to my eating plan, but I did so much extra walking (and shivering!) that I not only balanced my choices but continued to lose weight. Yeah, for me!.

A couple of times I was served something and thought, heythat won't be enough. But it was! This plan is great when it comes to helping me listen to the cues my body gives to let me know when enough is enough. I wasn't even tempted by the girl scout cookies, popcorn, and cheesecake the kids brought to debriefing meetings for their evening snacks. I had my hot chocolate and soy crisps ready!!.

At the Union Oyster House (my favorite place to have clam chowda and shrimp bisque!!) I was totally content with a taste of the chowda from my husband's bowl. And the server was totally willing to subsitute extra veggies for the potato. Good things to those of us who DEMAND it!!!!!!!!.

Women, we totally rock! Thanks for being by my side through all of this!..

I have a luncheon with some former co-workers so I'm going to figure out what I can eat from the menu that won't kill me. I also have dinner with my hubby tonight so it might be a 4/2 day..

My main motivation for losing at this time is my son's wedding in 6 weeks. I have a beautiful dress that I couldn't zipper at all. Yesterday I had it on, I zipped it up easily! Still not hapy with how it looks but give me a few more weeks on Medifast and I should be fine!!!.

Hey kids. Got a good surprise this morning. I pulled on a shirt that I haven't worn in a couple of weeks. I had gotten used to it being snug and not really wearable because it highlights the rolls too much..

I put it on this morning and for some reason really expected it to still be snug. It wasn't just loose, it was very loose, and I had to pull my pants up to my bra practically and belt them because they're big too. Good grief, I'm going to have to retire the pants - though I think I'll keep the shirt in circulation a little longer. I love that shirt..

In other news, work sucked today. No surprise, it's been rough lately. I blew two deadlines (which had already been pushed back once for me, because I'm overworked and can't keep up) and wound up with a migraine. Luckily I've got strong drugs that knocked it out before it got too bad...

It's great reading these emails, not too many people understand what it feels like to be 100pounds or more overweight. Pretty much sucks!!.

My first weigh in is on Friday so I'll check in then. Keep up the good work Ladies, we are all awesome!!.

Way to go Janna! We must have started on the same day. I am finishing day 5 too. Had some hard times, but WOW can't believe the strength I feel. Even though I have so far to go...I am finally not focused on that, but how to get there instead. You are a good girl though waiting a week to weigh! Hope it goes great for you!.

And while Medifast is great...a huge part of the success HAS to be these boards! Talk about an outlet! Maybe I could have done something before if I had felt any of the support I feel here!..

Hi Girls-.

I'm Colleen and on day 5 of the program. I would love to join your group! I so enjoyed reading your thread. I feel so much more motivated now. Thanks for your humor! I am having a heck of a time staying off the scale. I am proud to say I have actually made it 5 days without weighing. I think that is a lifetime record...

Good morning ladies! I am having another great day energy-wise, just really really stiff from our dance lessons last night!.

My husband really has absolutely NO rythmn and he tries so hard! Gotta love him. He wants every step to be precise and has a hard time having fun while dancing because he wants to be perfect. I have to find a way to loosen him up!.

I sneaked a peek at the scale this morning...down another bit so I'm HAPPY..

Great job to all of you shrinkin ladies..................

Checking in again...Day 3 and I feel awesome! It is getting easier with every planned meal. I make everything ahead of time and don't have to think about what I am going to eat. I don't have to wing it. When I walk/jogged last night I just felt healthier I can't explain it but I felt lighter, stronger and more alert mentally. Medifast must be doing the job because I have NOT done anything else different. Who Hoo! Everyone MAKE It a Great Day!..

WTG Janna!.

Karen, dance lessons sounds like so much fun. Maybe I can convince DH to do something like that saying I need more exercise? lol.

Almost end of week three with my weigh in tomorrow. I did so good this week not weighing myself since my last weigh in. So I'm excited and nervous. I had such big losses the first two weeks I hope I'm not disapointed when I see a smaller # tomorrow, kwim? I'm also going to measure tomorrow since I haven't measured since Day 1, I figure I got to see some inches gone in three weeks, right? lol.

Have a Mf'ing good day all!..

Hestovall, Janna, and Colleen, WELCOME~~~~!!!!.

Dbbthreads, you SO ROCK!!! You go, shrinking lady!!!!!.

Tomorrow is my next WI day and I snuck a peek this morning..

Still the same at 198. I think I have been teedering between 198 and 203 for the last three frickin' weeks and it's getting a tad frustrating at times!.

Hey! I've lost over 100 pounds, so I'm not whining, (hehehehe!.

) but I'm starting to think my body is starting to say, "whoa partner! Let me catch up here!!!!".

Stalls, they suck, but you got to live with them..

This is one of those things you newbies will have to deal with too..

The stalls or plateaus. They bite. They mess with your head. They mess with your psychie..

So....what do you do?.

You get out the ol' measuring tape. The measuring tape is our friend on this program..

When the cold-hearted scale doesn't want to give you any encouragement, the measuring tape is there like a warm comfort blanket..

Either that, or a pair of tight, tight jeans you bought to get into..

Well, I pulled those puppies up over my "dupa" and zipped them up, no probelm..

So, no more pounds, but the inches are coming off!.

I'll take that today!!!.

Remember, focus on each day at a time..

Baby steps, baby steps, baby steps.....those get you to goal!!!.

Like Michelle said, "Have a Mf'ing good day all!!!!!!"..

Good morning shrinking girls! Another day, another pound lost! Yeah, Karen, the teacher of my line dancing class WORE US OUT on Monday night. But I so enjoyed it - and the feeling that 70 pounds ago when I took this class there's no way I could have stayed with everyone. I had fun, my legs didn't hurt. Just a great time..

Didn't feel so hot yesterday, but feeling better today. Have a great day Shrinking Girls!..

Good Morning everyone,.

Thanks for the advice on the stalls. Not looking forward to them. I weigh tomorrow and I am nervous. Went out to eat last night for son's Bithday. I couldn't believe the difficulty in getting low calorie salad dressing and vegetables not pre done with butter. I will have to think in advance and bring my own if going to the Black Angus.

Bye for now ...

Congrats dbbthreads on fitting into that old college stuff... that's killer!.

Hello everyone, I hope all are having a great on plan day. Just my own 2 cents about taking my measurements. I took mine at the beginning, now I only take them during the weeks I do not lose weight. Why???? First, there is always a big drop since it is only about once every 4 weeks when I take them. Second, when you are feeling down about no weight loss, it is tangible proof that you are still making progress. Seeing that number change by an inch or two is a big lift for me..

BT2006, I know you are teetering between 203 and 198, but I have serious Onderland envy of you right now. I have been at 207 for what seems like months (actually weeks but you know what I mean)...

Folks, please, if you ever give yourself a hard time for losing a "measly" two pounds, pause and give yourself a reality check - 2lbs in a week is.

Really, celebrate your accomplishments, don't talk them down, they deserve trumpets and fanfares, and so do you!.

A 1 lb loss is the same as 4 sticks of butter.

A 2 lb loss is the same as 8 sticks of butter. Put that in your head.

A 5 lb loss is the same as a 5lb bag of sugar..

A 10 lb loss is the same as a 10 lb sack of potatos..

Sometimes I think we make trival the outstanding little successes we are making and negative self-talk ourselves right to Bingeing!.

My opinion is celebrate a 1 lb loss...It is really losing 2 lbs. The one you lost and the one you DIDN'T gain!!!..

Hi gals!! Today was good for me. I proved stronger than I thought I was! I am on day 6 and took one of my friends out for her birthday. I totally stayed on plan and it wasn't horrible for me at all! I wasn't even a slobbering fiend over her meal!! It was the first time that I was totally okay and realized that in this short period of time, I have gained some major power of my own self...so yeah me AND yeah all of you for all you have done!!!!.

Thanks ya'll!!!!.

I went to the gym last night and tonight, both times with my RTD shake!.

And today was pretty darn good!!!!.

Prom season in our area and I've got so much stress with last-minute orders for gowns and shoes, etc..

At least I understand what to do and what I need to do instead of heading for the nearest fast food joint. Heck! Those places probably think I've moved away! LOL.

I'm on a mission..

Got spring break in Florida planned one week from today and I want to look fantastic in my Tommy Bahama outfit I bought two months ago!.

In-laws haven't seen me in years, so this should be interesting..

Pretty tired. Nightey to all!!!!.

Keep on shrinking! YEAH!!!..
