That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you help..

You guys will do great, take a deep breath and try and relax, it's a big thing but it all goes by soo fast and everything gets better. If you just follow the plan that is put in front of you you will be fine. Its a life changing experience but a good one. Prayers are with you...

Mine was 11/30.. I was happily nervous. I got to the hospital and joked with everyone. In the hospital pre op, I had everyone laughing. The line of nurses that will work with you, the line of doctors that will work with you, plus your own doctor. All of them were laughing.

Surgery.

Was the same way. For about 10 mins and then I fell a.

Sleep.

Again..

I did everything on my own too. It is not that bad. I had a friend (been great friends since 1980) come with me and she took all sorts of picture. I doubt if people want to see them = ).

Both of you will do just great. Enjoy the ride!!!..

I sure was.... up until the rolled me into the operating room I told the dr." nope I dont think I can do this" next thing you knew I woke up in recovery,,,, I did ask if I was thin yet ,,, nurses chuckled but it really wasnt bad... all that hype of me being so scared and all the thoughts ,, was a waste of time... hospital took great care of me.. I was in ICU for the 1st night as my dr has all his pt in ICU for the 1st night and they treated me like a queen , my only gripe was the catheter,,, I didnt want it I hate them and yet low and behold I had one YUCH ! but I dealt with it.. I was in for 4 days and it wasnt hard coming home..

Hope.

You have good support ! we all need that !.

Good luck,,, happy and positive thoughts !! you will do great... it will be well worth it !!!.

Joy..

Brooks77, Good luck tomorrow! How exciting. You are on your way girl! Get ready for the ride. :-)).

Anthony, researching and.

Talking.

To your docs are both super important so it's good you've done that..

You may also want to prepare a hospital bag. Do a search in this support group (search bar is up towards the top of the page) for what to take to the hospital and you will see many.

Discussion.

Threads about this. A lot of people say chap stick, iPod, PJ's, robe, pillow, etc. You will find plenty of info on this (and anything else) in past threads..

There is a wealth of.

Knowledge.

In the archives of this group so whenever you have a question do a quick search and you are bound to find what you are looking for, if not, post your questions here..

Also, you may want to have things on hand for when you get home from the hospital. Again, you can search for this in archives but people have recommended having a little basket by your bed with things you will need in it, like remote control, stamps and bills, journal,.

Books.

For.

Reading.

, water bottle, post-op vitamins, etc..

You will most likely be on liquids when you get home so have things on hand for this phase: SF Popsicles, broths (some people recommend home-made broths so you could make these before.

Surgery.

And freeze in ice cube trays - tip I read on here), unflavored protein powder to put in broths and others things during liquid and puree phase, flavored protein powder of your choice, etc..

Also, you may want to think about a support plan for post-op. For example, a therapist you can go to if you need support, a live support group in your area, a list of people you can call when you need some help..

You have found this group which will be invaluable in the coming days, moths, years....

My.

Surgery.

Isn't for another couple of months and I am already so excited. Good luck to you and welcome to the group!.

-Jenny :-))..
