My first question is In need of quick Nutrisystem diets? Looking forward for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... I spent a lot ot time around some buddies this weekend, and that's never good for a diet. I went out to eat twice...and of course consumed thousands of calories. It seems that when things are "normal"...go to work, come home, go to bed, repeat...I do fine. But when ANYTHING out of the ordinary happens, I give up the diet.

I'd love to read the "Mindset Makeover" thing, but since I'm a returning customer from 2 years ago, they didn't send it to me. Maybe a mindset makeover is just what I need...

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..

It is a lifestyle change bro!! I promised myself not to go out to eat or out with friends to a bar or anything like that until a minimum of 30 days! I have gone out and had coffee, with friends, well they had coffee, I got a water!! And been finding other ways to have fun!.

Many say it takes 28 days to start to create new habits, I believe it takes longer..

Just my 2 cents!!.

You know you will feel great when you are at your goal weight , let alone how good it feels to make progress!!!..

First, call a Nutrisystem Customer Service person, they should be able to get you a mindset make over, if not, let me know, I will send you mine..

Second, I have had a few close encounters of the food kind when out to eat. A few times I was successful with portion control and just saying no. A few times I was not. No magic bullet here. When the desire to succeed at weight loss exceeds the desire to feel good at that moment it gets easier. I feel your pain, if not your gain. Just get back on 100% and in a few days it won't matter any more...

I never received the "Mindset Makeover" either, but I discovered that there is a DVD with that title. They want $24.95 for it, I think that they should give one when we start the program...

DON'T GIVE UP!.

One slip up is exactly that, one slip up. Get right back onto the program. Tomorrow is always a new day. Mistakes are only bad when you don't learn from them. When (not if - but when) you make mistake and you learn something, then you're ahead of the game. It may take several mistakes for you figure out how to get it right. That takes time...

Bry - check out the tab under MY PROGRAM called DINING OUT GUIDE. I've gone out to dinner at least once a week for the entire time I've been on the program. It provides you with the tools to prepare for what you should eat while dining out. Only you can follow through and make it happen. Good luck...

Hey Brycola,.

It's tough to stay on plan when you eat out like that. I eat out often and as you can see by my progress, it is slower than others on this board. While it might be simple to say just eat half that is really not the solution..

I would advise that you get a calorie counter and.

Write down every calorie that you consumed.

This will not only make you aware but give you a sense of what is really poison..

For example: A large plate of nachos and a cheeseburger and fries with a few beers can exceed Nutrisystem daily calorie intake tremendously and set you back two weeks..

Here is a website that may help:.

So write it down, get back on track and your progress will show!..

Thanks for all of the advice and support. I was feeling pretty down last night...but today I'm back on track. Have my bootcamp class tonight after work...so I'm sure I'll be feeling better about myself tonight (AFTER the bootcamp lady beats my ass with stairs and pushups). Man, it TRULY is "one-day-at-a-time"..

"That is totally my brother! He has gone on a bunch of crazy diets to try to GAIN weight and he can't do it. Ugh.".

And will you smack your brother for me! I've always been jealous of those people that have to TRY to gain weight! Poor guy...he has to force some Krispy Kreme's in...

Krispy Kremes, nah I prefer Dunk'n Dounuts. Especially the ones filled with apple when they come out of the oven. Mmmmmm nice and warm, the fragrance of apples and spice fills the air. One bite and my mouth.............

Sorry, .........I got carried away. Where did I put those Nutrichocolates?..

It's good to see you back on the wagon - that's the great thing about NS. As many have said here, when you fall off the wagon, it stops and waits for you to get back on..

When you are planning to eat out, you need to check out restaurants to go to so that you know which are Nutrisystem friendly and as someone has said, you can always order a salad. I have learned those restaurants I can eat at and those I need to avoid. Another great tip you will read elsewhere is to know what you are going to order before you get there. Check out their menu online or stop by and pick one up. When you order your meal, request a "doggie bag" right up front. I always order a salad with my dinner and then I "visualize" the size of a Nutrisystem dinner entree' container and that is all I will eat of my entree' and I take the rest home.

The other advice I would give you is to really make a huge effort to not deviate from the plan for the next 4 weeks. This is a lifestyle change and you need to establish those good habits. This isn't always possible, but try to do it to the best of your ability..

And as always drink lots of water!..

We eat out every Sunday with family so when we started Nutrisystem I went through the nutrition guides of many of the chain restaurants we typically go too (Carinos, Panera, PF Changs, etc) and determine exactly what dishes I could eat as a meal replacement and what I could not. That way when we go out I usually can get something rather than just the salad. However, that is my old stand by when we go to none chain places. It works but sucks when I'm eating the lettuce wrap while by BiL is eating the steak across the table from me. I have learned to imagine me kicking him in the teeth with every bit he takes. It helps, a little...

Sorry guys........."a girl's in the locker room!" HA.......Even if this is the men's section, I just had to respond..

Hang in there....We have a tendency to be perfectionists and that is what gets us in trouble. So we slip up.....trust me I have.......A dear friend reminded me that I should think of my daily successes rather than daily failures. It has helped me a great deal...
