I'm no longer obese, I've finally reached the point on my BMI where I'm now considered to be overweight..

I read much more than I post on these forums. I know lots of people are just starting out and looking for support and inspiration as well as advice and tips. These forums are a great place for that. I don't have any tips or tricks, I just followed the plan to the letter. However, if your reading this and wondering if Nutrisystem really works, I'm here to tell you it does..

Here is my Nutrisystem experience so far..

(1/01/2008, Male, Age 44, Height 6'1", Weight 357 pounds).

Last year January 01, 2008 I decided I wanted to lose weight. I didn't have a real diet plan or anything, I just decided to cut out the junk food and eat healthier. Well, that sort of worked, but I only lost 15 pounds in 3 months..

I was hoping for more weight loss. I sat in front of my T.V. eating some popcorn and I saw a commercial with Larry the Cable Guy talking about Nutrisystem. I figured if that ol' boy could do it, then so could I. I ordered my food the first week of April 2008 and started Nutrisystem on April 15, 2008..

(4/15/2008, Male, Age 44, Height 6'1", Weight 342 pounds).

After receiving my food and reading all the provided literature I was ready to do this. Weighing in at 342 pounds I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of weight I had to lose and the long road ahead of me. I decided not to think about the journey itself but the steps I had to take that would bring me on that journey. I said to myself "I will do this one week without cheating", I thought if I didn't cheat, then maybe I would have good results and it would help keep me motivated to do another week. Well, I won't lie that first week was tough on me. I was use to eating much more food, and snacking in the evenings.

I weighed in at the end of that first week and was very pleased with the results. So I did it for another week at 100% no cheating, and again great results. Those weeks turned into months, and after the first 4-5 weeks I was use to the portions and was feeling much better. It took me about 6 weeks to realize I wasn't really on a diet anymore, that I had actually made a lifestyle change by eating more fruits and vegetables as well as learning portion control and making smart food choices..

It doesn't take long to start having NSV's (Nutrisystem Victory). Here are some of mine:.

No more Blood Pressure Medicine.

Cholesterol down from 242 to 174.

Lost 11 inches off my waist, and more shocking I lost 4.5 inches off my neck..

Hip and knee pain completely gone..

Sleep better, no more snoring.

I still have 30 more pounds to lose until I reach my goal weight. No doubt I'll reach that goal. These forums were a great help and inspiration to me. Especially those first few weeks. I did not and do not interact much on these forums, but I do read them quite a bit. So if you are wondering if Nutrisystem works, yes it does.

I'm yet another one of those success stories in the making. I've lost 117 pounds on Nutrisystem since April 15, 2008..

If you want to lose weight you'll have to work at it. Losing weight is work. Nutrisystem is a tool to help you lose weight, actually Nutrisystem is more like powertools. It makes your work much easier. No one can say anything or do anything to motivate you to lose weight. It has to come from within.



I'm not a success story yet (even though I've already lost more than 100 pounds), but I'm well on my way to becoming one...
