First off, Is I okay to have sugar in your Nutrisystem diet? Looking forward for any comment. Another question... Hello, by the way. New guy here.. |
Yep, although you might wanna make sure and wait for another member to confirm this as I am not quite sure. Better yet, why don't you contact the Nutrisystem guys because they can give you an answer better...
Are you inputing Nutrisystem meals that you're planning to have over the next month? Um... Why?..
Hey and Welcome. Dude, my heart goes out to you if you're under the impression that Nutrisystem has a 21st century IT dept. Glitches happen (a lot sometimes), but it is what it is so I say just go with it. I mean, really, it's not like they lost 6 months of your 'order history' or anything..
Yea, just accept it and move on. Welcome to the madness... |
Oh, that's good. The main thing is being able to plan out my meals so I know what to take to work for the week. So if there's a checklist in the order, I'm good there. I can fill that out. Thanks for the kind words..
Cuz I'm kinda anal that way. And I'm only doing two weeks at a time, so it's not so crazy. Not so crazy.. Yeah, I was getting that impression. But there are a lot of nice features. Maybe I'll just use it as a daily thing instead of a planner. Thanks! I'm looking forward to the blueberry muffins... |

It would be great if that planner was a stand-alone, down-loadable program that you could keep on your desk top. It would be much more responsive in the way of speed, not having to route the info over the web and through their servers first. Then if you wanted to upload your entries to Nutrisystem for posterity's sake, you could at a later time, if you wish. Just sayin'...

Welcome, you're off to a great start and apparently have a great attitude. Please share your victories as they happen - it will inspire us all. Be sure to read and follow the Mindset Makover. BTW Damon - how are you doing with the MM?..

I just plug in my meals during the day as I eat. that way I can see what meals or snacks I have left to go. as far as planning, I usually just grab a any lunch, dinner and 2 snacks. salads and fruits I get from the outside if I don't have them to bring. for the dairy I usually get some string cheese or make a "grilled cheese" with a slice of bread and cheese...

Bolo - welcome and congrats on making a great decision!! The online meal planner is a pain in the butt. Very slow!! The little book that comes with the order works very well. After about a month you really won't even need that unless you just want to use it. All of the Nutrisystem entrees are interchangeable. Just eat a blue for breakfast, green for lunch, pink for snack and dessert, and red for dinner and you will be fine. It's going to average out to about 1500 calories per day. Good luck!..

It's great that the assistant from Tool Time has joined us. I always thought you deserved a bigger role on that show..
Your approach is a good one as I firmly believe that planning ahead is highly important as we are leaning this lifestyle change. When I was using the online planner, I started by posting in the morning. However, that got tedious. So, my practice for many moons was to fill in the day's meals the preceding evening. Also gave me the discipline of knowing what I was going to be consuming right off the bat... |
I actually didn't know they had an on line meal planner. lol.
I gather all my food in the morning before I start the day, throw. It in my back pack and go. Including all fruits, salads and dairy/protein.. Some days I have string cheese and some days I use my carb from. Breakfast and a FF BallPark Frank to make a mid morning hot dog. With a dash of mustard.. Read BellaVista Boy thread for breakfast. I duplicate that about. 3 days a week for breakfast.. Good Luck to you and stay on the boards... |
I used to use the daily meal tracker all the time. However, once I got into a rhythm, I don't use it at all anymore. I know what I eat and when I eat it..
I never had any problems with it when I was using it, though... |
I use the internet site to record my meals, either as I go or at the end of the day. I usually leave the house in the morning with a Nutrisystem breakfast, a lunch and the afternoon snack. I add the other stuff from the cafeteria at work...

Thanks for the reminder Tom. You must know me better than I do myself. I have managed to avoid all the bad urges here lately, but I do tend to over consume during the day in the way of extra liberal portion of approved foods. Like extra NScandybars and eating a big ole Jethro Bowl of WW cereal and 2 bananas for my carb and fruit and FF milk, w/splenda. So, I guess the answer is yes, I'm doing pretty good with choices, I just need to work on portion control. Every now and then my mindset seems to drift towards apathy, thanks for the pull back. Yep, it's time for a re-read...

Wlecome to NS... I tried plugging that info in online and did about three days but just could not stand the speed. It was sooooooo slooooooow. I wen to the meal planner booklet instead and now I only refer to it once in a while as a reminder. It becomes pretty automatic but at first I do recomend you use the planner. Good luck!.
