My first question is Is it okay to eat corn if one is on a Nutrisystem diet? Thanks in advance for any comment. Second question.. I purchased a nice digital "Tanita" scale and it finally arrived today. I bought it because it maxes out at 440 lbs. No fancy BMI stuff, just the scale.. |

Yes sir! but... you might wanna make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm this as I am not confident. Better yet, why don't you ask the Nutrisystem guys because they can answer your Nutrisystem question better...

I ordered some escali 440lb scales off of amazon the second this month. It has the body fat and water monitoring, but amazon says it won't ship until Jan 26. For only costing 34 dollars, I guess waiting wont be so bad. My last known weight was 366 at my doctors the monday after thanksgiving...

It is what it is. That's an important phrase to learn and practice. We can only move forward from where we are - not where we wish we were. I had a small adjustment when I switched scales and I wasn't happy about it - but I'm finding more and more as I make this journey that my attitude is crucial. You'll often see people empasizing that this is NOT a diet but a lifestyle change. That's KEY - just using Nutrisystem as a way to drop some pounds is a waste of time and money - they'll be right back on on very short order.
I'm sure that you've lost the weight you logged - you just started at a higher weight. Change your beginning number to match your loss - it will make you feel good and is most likely what happened anyway.. Learn to enjoy the journey - that's the only way you'll make it stick. Today is my first anniversery - I started Nutrisystem 1/14/2008. When I started, I looked at others that had made great progress and it didn't seem possible. I picked the name FIT TOM when it definitly didn't fit - it does today! I also declared that I was on maintenance - maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. I'm convinced those attitudes will keep me fit and healthy.. So man-up - set your numbers - drink your water and ENJOY THE JOURNEY!!!.. |

Actually, I haven't owned a set of scales for years when I first started. I know this sounds funny, but Nutrisystem was kinda an impulse buy. My doctor had weighed me on his scales on Jan. 12th and gave me a whole load of crap to read about healthy diet, blah blah blah. Whilst I was reading that stuff a NutriSystem commercial came on, I picked up the phone and the rest is history..
Right after I ordered NS, I realized I should probably get some scales. I went to Wal-mart and got the only scale they had in my weight class. They were very unreliable, or at least I thought, but I had been using them on carpet. In the mean time I ordered this one from Amazon.. Now that I found out you can't use digital scales on carpet, I put them next to my "Doctor's" scales on hard floor and now they are always pretty damn close.. Here's a pic of my baby turning 6 months old....... |

Thanks Fit Tom, I will do just that. Sorry for the whining.
Actually weighed in this morning after my usual morning rituals (thats when I always weigh)...and the numbers were a little different.. So I made the changes and I'm moving on... |
