Glad we are getting enough members for the new challenge. I am doing a lot of baking to give as gifts, and it is hard not to nibble! It will be great to have a new challenge starting after this stage is done, because Christmas itself is not a huge temptation risk for me. We won't be going to any parties, just a nice quiet day at home, then back to work!.

Susan - you like to live dangerously, don't you. LOL Baking treats is so tempting! Maybe you can keep shake cakes on hand to nibble while you're baking so you won't be tempted? or a nice cuppa cocoa? Just a thought..

I try to steer clear of the lounge this time of year. It's safer to eat in the cafeteria than to eat in the department's lounge. People tend to leave treats on the table for whomever wants them. It's kind of always been that whatever's on the lounge table is fair game. A lot of time, it's left overs from parties, or stuff people bought but found out they didn't like and didn't want to waste... so they bring it for the sharks at work. LOL..

How do you guys feel about being called Early Aubergine Risers?.

We're getting ready to be hit by a huge snow storm starting tonight... I have to work all weekend, so I'll probably be staying at the hospital. I'll get challenge banners to each of you as soon as I can. Hopefully, I'll be able to drive home Sunday night or Monday morning at the latest.. since I have to return to work on Tuesday at 7pm...

Deb.

- you are right - I have been living dangerously. But I do love to cook. I keep my water nearby to drink and just keep cooking. I enjoy the process even more than I enjoy eating the finished product! There has been a little damage as a result of "sampling", but I am positive it is temporary. Most of the goodies have been distributed already. I like to share them as quickly as possible - both so the recipients will have fresh goodies, and so that I will not succumb to an overdose of temptation...

Starting weight.

186.4 pounds. The party is over!!!.

The big eastern snowstorm.

Must have stopped short of where I live. We did not get snow this time. Actually I am kind of glad, because the last storm was enough excitement for this month! The snow that is on the ground is not likely to melt, so we will have a white Christmas regardless... Since I have to work longer hours both now and after Christmas, with some nights coming home after midnight, I am just as glad not to have snow coming down..

Tomorrow is my day off, and we will visit a.

Friend in the hospital.

He has an infection in his foot, which apparently followed a case of food poisoning. Then the doctor said he had gout. Now the infection has recurred/never went away. We were hoping to fix dinner for him this week because he had plans to spend time with family and would not be home much longer. Hope they can get the infection under control this time. He is an avid hunter and it would be a shame if he ended up no longer able to hike in the woods..

Does anyone have any good suggestions.

For what to give a girl who is a junior or senior in high school? At work we have been doing "Secret Santa". It started with the first 2 weeks giving something small, now the 3rd week we give something larger, around $15. I drew a girl that I did not know, although I have met her and talked to her. The first 2 weeks were pretty easy to figure out, but I am having trouble figuring out something for the last present. The person who is my "SS" has been very creative and I love the presents I have gotten - I would like to pass that feeling on!.

This is all for now. Hope everyone is staying warm and comfy, and not having to rush around with last-minute Holiday preparations..

Happy.

To be here! I'm not sure what the final count was, but they were talking about 20 - 30 inches of snow. It was snowing about an inch an hour. I pulled up to my house with nowhere to park.. so I just kinda put my car between my driveway and the one next door (no one's living there). There's probably two feet of snow in my driveway. Susan - be happy you didn't get this snow!.

- Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately there is not a B&B near me. We have to drive to Albany, NY or the mall in Massachusetts to go to any of the big stores. There isn't even a Target here! Hi mymfnewme - welcome to Medifast (MF) and the start of a new you! The teams are great to keep you accountable and on plan (OP). The program works if you follow the program. The most important thing you can do in the beginning is READ THE PLAN, understand the plan and follow the plan!.

The weight loss will follow..

Deb.

- great banner! I love the melting snowman - surely something those of you in the "snowy" states wish would happen soon! And the "cats eye view" is cute..

Susan.

- I understand about not having anything real close! That's the "nice" thing about VT and the "bad" thing. Might try checking the grocery store in the cosmetics aisle? Of course if you don't have one of the major chains nearby that could potentially not work either. What part of VT do you live in? My husband went to school in Stowe. I hung out in Upstate NY (Saratoga Spgs) for several years back in the early 80's and LOVED it there to. Would love to get back that way but not a lot of jobs..

- I live in the SW corner of VT - between Bennington, VT and Williamstown, MA. Saratoga is around 60miles away. I have also spent time there (worked at the thoroughbred track) and loved it. I know what you mean about jobs - it is hard to find one that pays good except in a few fields - such as higher education, medical. But the lifestyle is wonderful..

Deb.

- I love your snowman with flying bird! And the banner is great, too! Is the "cat's eye view" from your back porch? You certainly did get your quota of snow..

Mymfnewme.

- Welcome!!! It is normal to feel excited, overwhelmed, and hopeful when starting on the Medifast program. The main thing is to remember that it is a process, and you will get used to following the plan as you go along..

It is amazingly simple.

- just follow the 5 and 1 guidelines and you are On Plan! The usual procedure is to have a Medifast meal approximately every 3 hours until you have had five of them. You can insert your "Lean and Green" meal at any point during the day that works for you. Some people like their big meal at noon or in the late afternoon, others like it at the usual evening dinnertime. Some people like to have some of their L&G with a Medifast meal, and the rest later. It is YOUR decision how to mix it up! The spacing of meals means that if you start to get a bit hungry before it is time for the next meal, there is only a little while left to wait, and you CAN get through it. So the L&G can be preceded by and followed by Medifast meals.

At first the Medifast meals will seem very small, but once you get used to them they become pretty satisfying. Drinking your water is an important part of keeping your stomach happy, as well as maintaining hydration so that your body can flush away the natural wastes that result when you are eating a low-calorie weight-loss program. Eventually you will not be running to the bathroom as often. The Medifast mantra could be.

"Measure, measure, measure; Drink, drink, drink"!.

Good luck - work the plan and the plan will work for you!.

- Good luck on melting the snow any time soon! Even with the sunshine, we are still getting sub-freezing temperatures. More snow is coming our way here in VT, but nothing like the last one according to the weather report. The birds are sure enjoying my bird-feeders. Just got a 3rd one and filled it with sunflower seeds. For some reason it takes a couple of days for the birds to start eating from a new one, but they are starting to use all of them now. Next summer I will get a hummingbird feeder and see if I get any customers! Of course I will need to put in some flowering bushes for them as well, since they like to have cover.

We've been having temps in the 30's.. not too bad outside. I had to go to PetSmart this morning. My brother and his family are headed to Florida to spend the holidays with the inlaws. I'm watching their Old English Bulldog Mimi. She's a good dog, but can't go into the back yard because we can't get the door open yet.

I had to get her bedding for her crate. They just brought me a bare crate. She loves the bed I got her. I also got her a raised feeder/waterer. That way, the little ones won't be in her food..

Going in to work again tonight. I get Wednesday off, then I'm working Christmas Eve straight thru to Monday morning... then Tuesday night. I'll be popping in every now and then to see how everyone is doing..

Merry Christmas Susan! We have rain! It's washing all the snow away and we are now able to open our back door. Of course, there are puddles and mini ponds, but we can open the door. I'll see what weather's like when I get home in the morning. If it's dried up some, the "kids" can go out back and run for a change..

Mimi is doing ok. She doesn't like my 11 year old malti-poo and spends a time out in her house after a row. However, Scruffy is in love. He follows her everywhere and he even takes naps with her in her house. My brother just offered me his two cats and Mimi if he gets laid off.... *sigh*.

Deb.

- How old is Mimi? If she is a puppy, you just have to do all the same things you did with the little dogs to teach her to behave. If she is already an adult, I think you just have to teach her boundaries - which you are apparently already doing with the "time out" when she does not get along. It is probably a territorial thing - the other dog was there first and even if not as big still expects the respect of being at the top of the pecking order! Hopefully they will work it out eventually. YOU are leader of the pack, so you are right to make them behave..

At least she is an Old English Bulldog, not a regular English Bulldog. That has advantages. First, they are bred not to have breathing problems, whereas the EB is known for snoring and drooling. Second, if she is intact and is ever bred, she should be able to whelp puppies normally, whereas the EB requires a cesarian section. The bulldog was originally developed for bull baiting, which required a certain ferociousness and abscense of sensitivity to pain. When bull baiting was made illegal, some people continued to breed the dogs and the OEB was bred to retain all the good characteristics of the breed, but to have a good temperament.

My stats.

+2/5/4 I kept up on my water pretty well, but gave in to many Christmas temptations. Getting back on track now, so this week WILL go better..

Hope everyone had a.

Merry Christmas.

, and that the.

Susan - thanks for the info. Mimi is about 5, Brandy (male) is 11, and Scruffy (male) is 4. Scruffy and Mimi take naps together in her "house". It's kinda cute. Mimi is well behaved for the most part. She listens.

We're working on "lay down". She doesn't jump up on me like she did at my bro's house, but I know the "off" command just incase..

My sister in law informed me that they're staying in Florida and I should go get her two cats instead of running back and forth to their house to make sure they're ok. I knew it was going to happen, but I was hoping it would be in the Summer or later. Bro still doesn't have a job down there and SIL couldn't care less about anything. Sad really..

OK Everyone! I want to see your numbers... even if you gained and were 0 days on plan, I want your numbers. You can improve as the challenge progresses..

I'm working tonight and Tuesday night, then back to work on Friday night. It should be a good paycheck, but man I'm tired!!!.

I hear we're to get more snow next weekend. *sigh* It rained all day Friday and Saturday and washed the last batch of snow away. I can now park in my driveway without wearing hip waders..

Deb.

- Did they go to Florida for a visit, or to look for work? Did he actually get laid off already? How is that going to play out, when they have a house up north, and no place of their own in FL? The places where there are jobs are expensive to live, and the places that are cheap don't have jobs. Could they be planning to move in with the in-laws? THAT sounds like a questionable plan... Anyway, you just might have inherited a dog and 2 cats - hope you have room! Of course, you may also be house-sitting for Bro, which is another issue..

We got rain.

Here today, which washed away a lot of the snow. I was able to scrape the ice off the front porch. Now there is snow predicted for tomorrow morning. Luckily I have the day off so if the roads are a mess, they should be cleaned up before I have to go back on Tuesday. Unless, of course, it keeps on snowing!.

Ugh - I got down to 144 lbs, and I planned on going off plan for xmas day.. then I changed it to xmas eve too.. then I changed it to January 1... I weighed myself this morning and the scale was ten pounds up.. in less than a week! I don't think it's truly ten pounds - maybe 5 and some water weight... but I can't wait until New Years..

Sorry team :/ I won't be weighing in this week because ill be better off getting 0 points - next weigh in will hopefully be back to 145ish!..

Just peeking in! I'm now 32 weeks pregnant. So far, I've gained 6 lbs. 8 weeks left, so probably another 8 lbs to gain? What this means is that not only will I have a bouncy baby boy but I will also be under my start weight post-partum! YES!! Thanks to Medifast, I learned how to portion and eat multiple times per day, so even though I wasn't on a restricted calorie plan, I'm still eating healthier! I _think_ I'm allowed to come back to Medifast 6 weeks postpartum. So...still another 3 months or so, but I'm with you in spirit!..

- Glad to hear you are doing so well with your weight (and congrats on a healthy pregnancy!). It is great that you are eating well because baby will do better, too..

Jennie.

- Unless you REALLY went overboard on Christmas eve and Christmas day, chances are the weight gain will disappear quickly. Check your scale, too. It is better to stay on plan as much as possible during the holidays, then the little indulgences won't have lasting effects. The biggest problem will be getting back on track once you have gotten off, because old cravings will be re-awakened. At least that is my experience. Sounds like you have the determination to get back and stick to it, though..

Deb.

- Hope you are surviving your extended work schedule. We got more snow today, only a couple of inches, but still glad I was able to stay home. The trees are coated, very pretty, and we had lots of birds at the bird feeders once the snow stopped..

Wishing everyone A Happy New Year!.

Susan - we had an awful incident yesterday. I had just gotten into bed, getting ready to get to sleep and heard Mimi and Brandy fighting. Alex went down to check on Brandy and said he had blood coming out of his mouth. She broke his jaw in 4 places, loostened 2 teeth, and there is a puncture wound under his right eye. I am litterally sick..

They tried doing surgery on him today, but discovered his injuries were more involved than initially thought... so the "dental" surgeon will be in tomorrow to operate on him. He'll have an external fixation device on his jaw. He was able to eat "gruel texture" food last night. He's hopped up on morphine, antibiotics, and fluids. My brother didn't even say anything about coming to get her.

His wife did offer to send some money... but they're on vacation (or atleast have the "vacation" mentality). My brother gets paid next week. Thank goodness I get paid tomorrow...

- So sorry that the conflict between Mimi and Brandy escalated. She could have killed him. Now he is has a long, uncomfortable recovery ahead of him. However, your veterinarian will prescribe drugs to help him feel better during the most painful stages. Probably will start off with a Fentanyl patch (morphine) and antibiotics. Just be careful of NSAIDs - dogs have better tolerance than cats (toxic - cats cannot metabolize them very well at all), but still can get gastric ulcers from them, especially if given on an empty stomach.

Familial affection may make it difficult for you to expect them to cover it all when you took in their dog, but hopefully they will feel responsible enough to be willing - even if it takes some time..

As for finding a home for Mimi, find out if your brother has purebred papers for her. If she is papered that might make it easier to find her a home. Also, there are breed-specific rescues so you might find such a group for Old English Bulldogs. Make sure you have written permission to give her away so that later on your brother won't forget that he told you to do it. Sounds like something that should not be necessary between brother and sister, but it can save a lot of misunderstandings later on. Also makes sure that you.

Have proof that you are authorized.

To donate the dog to the rescue or to give the dog to an individual..

I hope that you have space to keep the two dogs separated when Brandy comes home from the hospital..

My prayers are with all of you.

For Brandy's recovery and a good solution to your problems..

Yesterday.

, we had snow that fell on warmish ground, formed ice underneath. I slipped and fell on my driveway and.

Sprained my ankle.

Just glad it is not broken! I would hate to have a cast and crutches, no showers, etc. for several months. I can hobble around with a cane, and had to take yesterday and today off of work. My job involves being on my feet but I think I can handle it Thursday because I only have a 4 1/2hour shift and the area in which I work is pretty small. Like my kitchen - my husband and I do the "bump" whenever we are trying to do things in there together! We usually do not sit down at all when working, but I might ask for a stool to sit on when things are slow or just when I need to rest my good leg!.

My plans for doing some snowshoeing in the back yard just went away! This will take a while to heal, especially since I suspect that I reinjured the ligaments that were damaged when I broke my distal fibula 4yrs ago. At least the radiologist did not see any avulsion, so the attachments to the bones are intact. Hope there is not something there that could not be clearly seen because of the radiological appearance of the previous fracture. Of course I still have to baby myself for a couple of weeks..

Susan - thanks for your concern. Sorry to hear about your ankle. They do say a sprain is worse than a fracture because of the stretching or tearing of the ligaments and tendons. Don't forget the to put ice on it and keep it elevated when you can. The Radiologists can differentiate between old injuries and new ones. Hang in there!.

I did research and contacted a few rescues last night. I'm waiting to hear. I also contacted my insurance agent... he's also my bro's agent. I asked who's insurance should cover the incident. I'm waiting to hear about that as well...

- the stretched/torn ligaments ARE bad, but with my previous fracture I had both. At least I don't have to wear a cast and I can hobble around pretty good. They gave me an air splint to wear, and I will go back to work tomorrow (with either a cane or crutch - not sure yet). Luckily with the Holiday Season winding down, I won't be scheduled for as many hours starting next week..

Household insurance to cover the incident never occurred to me. Glad that is a possibility. Especially since any surgery is expensive..

Glad that Brandy is doing OK..

Is the basement reasonably warm and dry? If so, that would be better for Mimi than outside or in a crate all the time. Hope she finds a good home soon, since she IS a nice dog other than her issues with Brandy..

More on the contiuing saga of Mimi and Brandy.......

The vet's office (can't blame the vet, she's been great) neglected to include Brandy's pain meds in his take home bag. It was in his discharge instructions, but wasn't included. I had to go back out just before midnight so the night tech could give me enough to get us thru the weekend. The the vet called in a Rx so we could have more when we were ready..

I've been feeding Brandy pate from a spoon. Remember when your kids were little and just starting to eat baby food? Yep, same mess. At least his cone collar doubles as a bib, so it's just that and his apparatus that I have to clean after he eats..

Tried putting Mimi in the basement with her bed and food and water bowls. She tried breaking down the door. So we opened the basement door to the yard so she could come and go and not feel boxed in. She came to the back door on the deck and whined. So - I brought her in and put her back into her crate. *sigh*.

BUT I just got good news. My brother is actually taking responsibility and coming home Monday and staying 3 weeks to get things finalized. Maybe then I'll have a chance to talk to him and give him a wake up smack on the back of his head. He'll be picking Mimi up on Tuesday (which is best for me because I'm going to sleep on Monday after 3 12 hour midnight shifts starting tonight..

At least 5 of those hours are time and 1/2 holiday pay! I can manage to go in and be plesant. LOL Just hoping people aren't crazy like they were during the blizzard and Christmas and come into the ER with stuff they've had for months by ambo..

Also - my sister in law has offered money to be paid on Thursday when my bro gets paid. Things are looking up! Of course... I won't believe it until I see it..

Hope things are looking up for you too!..

- Glad that things are looking positive. As for Mimi, I guess she would rather be around people even in her crate than alone in exile! Is your brother going to take her with him back to Florida?.

We are being pounded with snow!.

I went to work yesterday at 1pm, and then they closed the store early at 4pm so everyone could get home before dark. Kept the truck in 4-wheel drive, drove no more than 40mph, and made it fine. Now I am waiting to see if they will (hopefully) call and say not to come in because they are not going to open. However, if they don't then I have to leave in less than 1/2 hour to be sure I get there on time. My husband is down at the foot of the driveway now shoveling so that I can get out..

Stats.

Are -1.2/6/7.

The birds.

Often do not come out until it stops snowing, but today many of them are coming to the feeder despite the steady snow. Guess they are hungry! A couple of them went under my car for shelter then came out and ate some more. They seem to be able to peck right through the snow that is built up on the rim. I might clean the feeders off a bit when I go out to go to work(?)..

Hope everyone is starting off the new year with an optimistic point of view to get you through!.

We've just got a lot of wind. My poor reed fence looks like... well, just a bunch of sticks strung togther hanging from the chain link fence. Some has come off all together..

Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ain't it nice to imaging the warmth!.

Good job on the loss! Glad we're getting back on pace..

Back to work tonight. Then off until Friday night... unless I get called in. (Lead Tech hasn't posted the call schedule yet for January, but it's only the 3rd of the month. LOL).

My brother will be back for 3 weeks to pack up some stuff (clothes mostly & the kids' bikes and other toys), give notice at work, and find a new home for Mimi. I'm going to take him out for coffee one day and just talk to him like a Dutch Uncle. Wish me luck..

Hello everyone!.

DEB.

- so glad to know that Brandy is doing well! And I also agree with vettobe - Mimi definitely would much rather be around people - even in the crate. Glad your brother is coming to pickup Mimi.........here's a huge dose of.

LUCK.

For your talk!!.

Checking in for the week with no change in weight so stats are:.

0/7/7.

I'm a little disappointed but since I started in June I've only not lost weight one other week. Flavored tea caused it then and I think flavored coffee may have done me in this week. I didn't "add" anything to it but it was the kind that come pre-flavored. My neighbor got a bunch of it for Christmas and since Friday was the only kind she fixed for our coffee clatch!.

Trying to decide if I need to drop my goal weight. I read a lot of info this weekend that says my weight should be around 130 - 135. Based on my body shape now I'm thinking I might be best served at 135. That is a very strange number for me because that's what I weighed in the 8th grade. (I was a very substantial child.....

). Overweight is pretty much all I've ever known so I don't have a good gauge for what normal is for my body. We'll see................

OUCH! on the team position last week..........but after seeing Jason's weigh in yesterday I have hope for this week - sorry I couldn't add to the number!!.

WAY TO GO JASON!!.

Hope everyone has a great week..

- The white carpet (I think you meant something else!) is indeed beautiful, but with my ankle I cannot play in the snow! We have snowshoes and a huge back yard - it is fun to look for animal tracks. We have seen deer, foxes, rabbits, turkeys, and a bobcat in our back yard. At least I have my bird feeders now which I can watch through the window. Got to get out there and clear the snow off the lower rim so there is better access to the seeds. We got some high winds, too, which caused a lot of drifting..

The worst part about the snow is driving..

Had to go to work yesterday, in a heavy snowfall. Used 4-wheel-drive the whole time. Drove very slowly, although on the way home someone way ahead was only going 10-15mph - that seemed a bit too slow, but maybe it was a blessing in disguise, because noone crashed..

Your brother is confusing me..

He has a job, is going to quit that job, and go to Florida without already finding another job. Does that make sense? At least if he were laid off he could get some meagre income - unemployment - but now he will have to rely on savings and inlaws! Wonder what is going through his brain!?.

Karen.

- Glad you are not letting a single week without weight loss bother you. At least you have an idea where the problem lies. However, even when doing everything right you can have a plateau. In my case, the problem is lack of focus. I am trying very hard now to stay on track since the major sources of stress are no longer a factor, and especially since with my sprained ankle I cannot do as much walking, etc. as I would like..

As for lowering your goal.

, how about allowing yourself to first reach your original goal, which can give you a great emotional boost? THEN set a new goal rather than going into transition and maintenance. You will be able to look at your body and decide if you need to lose more weight, or if the primary objective should be body sculpting/tightening up. I will be so glad when I have to make the same decisions!.

Jason.

-.

WAY TO GO!.

Now that the Christmas season is over, we should all be able to do better. It is admittedly difficult to stay on plan when facing the holiday traditional overeating with so much delicious foods around. I did a lot of baking, but tried to give it all away very quickly so that I would not be too tempted - of course I ate some, but not as much as if I had kept it around. Now I don't have any baking projects to do until Valentine's Day, but I will again give most of it away. My husband has a sweet tooth, and is not as overweight as I am, so he always gets some of it!.

- my brother confuses me. His wife is very impulsive and tends to sweep everyone up in what ever she's "interested" in at the moment. The last big thing she did was get my brother to buy a house he couldn't afford. She doesn't work and his income is less than mine. His mtg payment is almost as much as mine is. I kept trying to tell him that he wouldn't be able to handle it, but that's the house she insisted upon.

I'm not sure how much talking I'll get in, but I'm going to try. He's due home at 9p tonight and I'll probably see him tomorrow night after he gets settled in. I'm sure he's not sleeping on the bus..

And yes, I did mean another word for that "white carpet". LOL Some words get blanked out on the boards, so you have to be careful or your post has a word missing or two..

Jason.

Thanks for the pep talk Susan. I have actually surpassed my original goal which was set at 145 and I've been actively exercising since July so the sculpting/tightening has been moving along as the weight has decreased. At this point I believe lowering the goal is definitely in the cards for my body..

Thanks Deb! Yep - I've been here one time before and it was due to an experiment with "fruit" tea. It definitely halted my loss so my instinct is that my body is reacting to the flavored coffee the same. I guess my metabolism just doesn't like me having those things and it's not that big a deal to avoid them!.

My stats.

-1.2/7/7 Better this week! Hope we are all getting back on track for staying on plan..

Andrea.

- Happy Birthday! Hope it was a good one..

Jennie.

- You did great last week. Remember a plateau is expected, and at least you lost some pounds before it happened. The body likes to protest when it sees the weight coming off!.

Deb.

- How are things going with your brother and the dogs? I don't know about what is keeping others from checking in during the week, but for myself I have been trying to keep busy so I won't get depressed about my lameness! It is getting better, but I know I won't be able to go snowshoeing for quite a while, maybe not even until next year. Almost everything I do seems to be just a little bit more difficult..

First mini-goal: 20 pounds (move from obese to overweight at 180 pounds - BMI 29.9).

First mini-goal reached! 7/14/2009.

OOPS! Regained pounds - Got to get back on track..

Second mini-goal 165 pounds - mid-point of overweight!.

Third mini-goal 150 pounds - no longer overweight!.

Final goal 140 pounds!.

I have stumbled, but am back on the path!.

New Start: January 7, 2009 at 200 pounds.

I am still a loser...

My stats this week were -2.5/7/7..

I'm also going to make a commitment to stay 100% OP for the next three weeks (until the end of the challenge). The longest I have been 100% OP is three weeks, so that would make four weeks in a row (counting the week I just completed)...

The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become..

I'm just reporting my stats for this week. They were -4.5/7/7..

This is the second week I've been 100% OP and I'm still planning on being 100% OP for the next four weeks; which means I will have been OP for four weeks - a new record for me..

Today is also my three month aniversary on Medifast and my total weight loss in that three months is 45 lbs...

When I fly, I retain water for some reason... It's great that you still lost 2 lbs, but it may catch up to you next week...
