My 1st question is: Is it true that Medifast can cause anorexia? Looking forward for any response. Another question... Greetings All,.

Are you all still snoozing or what? I've got a serious bout of insomnia going along with the crud and laryngitis - I'm in great shape! My new weight is 220.6 - not a spectacular weight loss but given the condition I'm in, it could be MUCH worse. Hope you all have a great day!..

Ye, but you might wanna make sure and wait for another person to confirm this as I am unsure. Better yet, why don't you give a call to the Medifast guys because they can answer you better...

Good Morning Everyone!.

Wow we are on day 8 amazing! 7 full days down and 93 to go! We can do it!.

As I suspected this past week was not going to be my finest (based on what I wrote in yesterday) and the scale reflected that - lost 2 pounds. I know 2 pounds is better then no pounds or a gain but it was my first week and I had higher expectations. Oh well! lets see what next week brings - at least the scale is going down.

Hi WellMe: absolutely - welcome! a goal of looking nice on the beach is always motivating!.

I Hope everyone has a great day!.

Much Success!.

P.S. what does everyone think about this week's topic being about excercise? let me know..

So.... for the "official weigh-in" I'm down 0. My weigh-in day is Friday, so I'm going by last Friday's weight..

However.... I weighed this morning, and it moved!!!! Not only did I go down the 1.5 that I was showing up, but I'm down 1 lb over last week! Yes, 1 lb isn't much, BUT....

1. The scale hasn't been moving..

2. I have until Friday for an official weigh-in, so this week may be even better than 1 lb..

3. MOST importantly..... I have lost over 60 lbs!!!!! Finally hit the 60 mark. I'm also almost at half way..

I feel MUCH better today. Amazing what 24 hours can do for you!.

Congrats to all for being 100% for a week! If you cheated a little, it's ok..... hop back on the bus, let's go for another week-long ride!..

Good morning all! I am happy to say I lost 3 pounds last week and feel great mentally because I have been 100% OP and exercising. I didn't make my 4-5 times per week exercise goal last week, but as I settle into the diet plan I will incorporate more exercise. Great job to those of you who lost weight last week! I am so happy to see DrSteph had a loss and that the scale is moving downward for you again! Have a great day everyone, and I wish all of you continued success on our 100% on plan/100 day venture!..

Hey everyone, good morning.. My official weigh in after 1 week is 218.4Down from 226 =D Pretty happy with the results on the scale. Even happier with the visible results, noticed in the mirror ;] Someone actually asked me this morning if I had lost weight. amazing =D lol..

P.s. I figured I would of lost more if I actually kept up with 1/2 my body weight in Oz. of water per day the first couple of days. Was drinking 8 cups at first, but after about 4 days I got on track with 12-14 cups...

So my weigh in this morning was surprising. I had no change. None what so ever. Sunday's are my official weigh ins and I was down to 158, but this morning I'm back to 160 which is what I was last wednesday. I'm going to blame it on the fact that my ankle is giacanticly swollen from my ditzy fall last night. I didn't slip running or walking or running the bleachers, nope I slipped on a curb getting out of my car last night.

Unfortunately I still have to go to work and class so I've got my foot up on ice under my desk at work. I'm super bummed I didn't have any weight change and I'm out of running commission for a few days at least. What a crappy wednesday. I'm hoping to try and swim this weekend while I'm in Las Cruces this weekend. Blah! :/..

Hello all. Congratulations on your successes!! No loss, small loss, just Keep pushin forward and follow your healthy weightloss intentions!!.

My success to share this week is that I've been on plan and sticking with it..

I restarted Medifast last week with you all and am commited to 100 days. 100th day is my birthday.

I started last week at 331. This is my highest weight ever. I've been over 300 for the most part, for the last 13 years. I've been over 200 for over 20 years (other than my quick weight loss yo yoing). I've been so lucky so far and have been taking my health for granted. I'm in my upper 40's and am starting to get scared about my health.

I no longer sleep with my husband because I snore. I've never gone bike riding or went to an amusement park with my kids. They are now 19 and 13. This makes me really sad..

I am going to do both of those things this summer. I'm going to lose 60 lbs. by the end of the 100 days..

I do not have a weight loss to share with you all because my scale only goes to 308..

I used my mothers scale last week and won't be going there for a while..

So, thats all I have to share today..

Have a great day! Good luck with Day 8. We are into our second week!..

Collette - I feel your pain..

My official weigh ins are on Friday so when I weighed in last Wed for the challenge I was at 276 (down 3 lbs from my Friday weigh in) so I was pretty excited. By the time my official weigh in came I was back to 278. Although I was still down 1 lb for the week...I knew at one time it was 3! Frustrating how our bodies flucuate like that!.

Hang in there and have a blast this weekend!!..

Whether you weigh yourself or not and just stay OP you will LOSE weight.

Dont worry about the whole scale thing when I first started Medifast I didnt have one and I didnt know what I lost for a few weeks and my parents scale wouldnt hold my fat butt at 358 when I started lmao!!.

But good luck to you!..

Anoushka: I'm glad the quote helped you out!!!.

Well, I have lost 2.2 pounds this week. Im a Wednesday weigher anyway. It's funny cause I always peek at the scale on Sunday and I've lost a majority of my week's weight by then. The scale is a mean, unforgiving mistress, so I try not to step on her too often!..

I'm about ready to throw my scale away!! I've decided it's broken. I'm going to try this week so just judge my progress by how my clothes fit and how much energy I have. When I get home I'm putting the scale under my bed. I'm going to try it for 2 weeks and then I'll come back to it. I'm going to try and change my weigh in to every two weeks and see if I stress less about it. Stress in my life leads to food which leads to crankies which leads to more food and then guilt.

On another note... Have we lost everyone??? We need to do something and get them all back!!!.

I'm out for the day. Time to pack and get ready for the weekend...

Well, I might as well own up...I went out of town this past weekend. I thought the walking would counter the slip-ups I had, but I gained one pound. I am hoping this week will erase my mistakes from the weekend...

Good evening everyonesorry I'm late. I finally went to work today (dang cold and cough really yuck (MF chicken soup DID help!!) then out for a bunch of errands..

I'm down 2 pounds for the week. I'm a Monday weigher and have been using those weights cuz I can't stand to weigh more often (hate hate hate affair with the scale)..

Collette last week I had no loss from the previous either. It's very frustrating and I just hung on and did more. I did have some NSVs and used those to bolster myself. 2# for me is great other that the first week, I tend to be a slower loser..

DrSteph Very glad you're feeling better..

Welcome to all the newcomers and congrats for the group for staying on target!..

Hope you're all having a great day 8! I weighed in this morning at 179.2, which is down from 187..

I've been 100% OP this week, and I'm sure it's because of this group! I read the posts daily, and they are a wonderful support system for me. (I should set a goal to participate more, instead of just lurking!).

I joined this group, initially, because I was heading off on a retreat from Thursday through Sunday, and I knew I'd need the extra support to stay OP. I was blessed that the chef at the retreat center that accommodated me with lean protein and steamed vegetables for dinner every evening. Don't know how I'd have done it, otherwise..

Now that I've made it through my first temptation, I hope to stay OP through many more!.

Thanks to all of you for the great support!.

Hi all. 100% OP and feeling good. My start weight "crept" up to 165 and the scale sang 159.8 this morning. YEAH!.

Quick question on travel....

I'll be on vacation for 8 days over spring break..

I plan to stay 100% OP on my trip to the shore because we have a kitchen and I do the cooking for our group. Soloads of grilled and steamed seafood. And I already looked up the restaurant menus and there are plenty of seafood and grilled chicken options..

The food part is not the truly tough part... I was OP while on vacation this summer and lost 2.5 pounds. Exercise is easy too since we brisk walk a lot and swim. Plus there is a gym in our condo building..

The hard part is drinking the water. We'll be taking several 2 hour car rides with our friends, on a private beach fairly far from the public bathrooms, riding car ferries without bathroom (I checked) and sailing. Plus 2 plane rides each way. UGH!.

Suggestions for getting the water in without constantly having to tell our buddies "can ya make another pit stop"!"".

I'm thinking of just doing the 8 glasses and not my usual 10 plus..

What do others do about water when traveling? How do you suggest getting it all in?..
