First question I got is Is Medifast safe and does it really work? (personal accounts are esp. helpful!)? Thanks for any response. Another quick question... I haven't seen one of these since I first started and was not yet ready to commit. The idea is to do sit-ups everyday( or what ever works for you, )for a month. Come to this thread to log your results, get support, and groan! Anyone have a good per day number to throw out there??..

Okay, we start tomorrow!!!! Yes, if you are starting from zero, I would say you should build up or at least do them throughout the day. I will admit, I have been working on them for a few weeks now. I have read that the bicycle one is the most productive. I am going to try and find the article and post a link... I will be back.... get ready ladies!!!..

I'm in training for the next 30-day challenge because I really want to strengthen my core and my back..

Let me ask all you crunching veterans - I struggle with crunches because I get lightheaded and slightly nauseous after maybe 20 reps. Any suggestions? I know if I do them before breakfast I am almost guaranteed to be sick. If I do them in the evening it is better but only by a little. It is probably best to space them out, rather than all at once, right?..

Morada - I don't have a problem with crunches but full sits I can't do because of back problems. Here is a link to a video segment from Dr. Oz...about half way through they demonstrate an abdominal exercise you can do sitting on your couch. I tried it and boy did I feel it! Also I would space them out if you need to in order to get them all in. Hope this helps!.

I went to post #9 (thanks Roadwarrior) and tried a few last night. Uhm, I had no idea my stomach muscles were completely useless. (I couldn't do the reverse crunch if you had a million dollars to hand me for doing just one).

I guess my personal challenge is going to have to be "30 Days to Work Up to 100 Sit-Ups per Day". But we all have to start somewhere...

Hey, been doing mine everyday, I had to lower them back to 100 due to messing up my hip. MY PT says I was doing too many and it hurt my psoas muscle.. It was pretty angry. But I am doing 100 still, broke up in 2 sessions. I stopped the straight legs up in the air one, she said that was bad for me to do. SO I am doing the bicycle and bent legs raised ones, and the inverted ones, and the plank.

I have a tendency to over do things and I guess this isnt good. Learning...... Learning......
