First question I got is Is tea allowed in Medifast Diet? Thanks for any answer or 2. Another question I got... Hi. I'm in the middle of day three and looking for some insights to help me over the hump. My biggest problem right now seems to be that I can't stop thinking about food! I found myself staring at my kids as they ate lunch, and had to have my hubby clear the plates for fear of finishing off the leftovers. Any tips would be much appreciated!..

Ye, but you might want to make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm it as I am on the fence. Better yet, why don't you contact the Medifast guys because they can give you help better...

It is amazing, this is my day 4 and someone at my church started talking about food because I made the mistake of bringing up the fact that I went to Trader Joe's to get Boca Burgers and salad as my Medifast L&G. As I watched in horror as she mentioned item after item. I sat there in conversation helldom wondering what had I done to get here and then I thought I bought myself here! I bought myself here? I needed someone to help me and it had to be me. I had to rescue myself. Ironically, I had actually put myself in this position and I had to get out alive even if it ment I was going to come out the situation in the fetal position and kicking and screaming. So, I guess I looked like I was in pain, so she stopped listing the items.

I mean, it seems like nothing now. But I mean the moment just seemed to go on and on and she only mentioned two food items. I recovered and drank a water for the rest of service, reminding myself that I had a shake in my purse just in case. This was the moment I had prepared for on day 3, carry a shake and you will be well armed. Although in your case, I can only say that you may need to save a snack for after dinner or split a green or split a lean.

1 water(16 oz.).

1 Medifast cappuccino.

1 Medifast pancakes (9 small round pancakes gives more bits).

2 waters.

1 Medifast ready made shake.

2 waters.

2 teas with 1 splenda each.

1 boca burger 1 cup salad 1/2L/G.

2 waters 1 tea/1 splenda.

1 boca burger/ 1 Medifast chili 1/2 Lean.

2 waters/No more tea.

1 Medifast carmel crunch bar for dessert.

2 waters.

We get to have two boca burgers on MF, which is a God send. Take care and I hope this helps! You are going to be just fine...

In all honesty I'll tell you that I lost 80 lbs. with Medifast two years ago. I then began to "eat my own way" and now I am back with almost as much to loose again. Medifast does work. I started Medifast again 10 days ago and I've lost 11 pounds so I am very excited..

What helps me is go take a look in the mirror naked. Then that really "reminds" me of why I have to do this. I do feel truly physically hungry most of the time in between the "meals" but I am use the hunger pains as a reminder to myself that I am losing weight and it won't hurt me to feel real hunger. I rarely felt real hunger before..no wonder I gained so much weight..

When you get into Ketosis after about three days it seems to shut off the valve that kept telling me to eat or keep thinking about food..

I hope that helps! Good luck!..

My 3rd day is tomorow, I am nervous. Today thought I can't stop thinking about my next meal, luckily it's me thinking about my next Medifast meal. I have been able to resist temptation, we went to a birthday party today, and when they served the cake I refused a piece and pulled out my peanut crunch bar instead which I packed knowing there would be cake. Then tonight at dinner I made my hubby some pasta roni shells and cheddar which is one of my fav things, but I was good. When dinner was over I immediately scooped the leftovers from the pasta into a tupperware dish and stuck it in the fridge for my husbands lunch tomorrow that way it was out of sight. But yah it's hard I have a 11 month old and I always taste test his food before giving it to him but now my husband does it. I am looking forward for tomorrow to be over with because I hear after day 3 it's so much easier!..

Oh and when I smell something good cooking or see something that I know is very tasty I just think to myself I won't ever get there if I keep eating the way I did. So for me it's that goal at the end of the tunnel that keeps me focused...

It does get better. Take a nap, walk your dog, call a friend, watch TV, come to the boardsdo something to distract yourself from the thoughts. Also, try splitting your L and G. I have done this since day 1 and I really haven't felt like I am "missing" any meals...

Thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement. I'm sitting here finishing my last Medifast meal of the day. I had a sudden burst of energy over the last 40 minutes. I'm hoping that's a good sign! I've been trying very hard to distract myself all day and look forward to going to sleep just so I don't have to try so hard..

- It is very hard with the little ones. But I'm so impressed that you passed up cake! Sweets are my biggest downfall! I can do without the breads and pasta, but delicious cakes and candies...ooohhh...such a weakness...

Yah it was a hard, it was a birthday party for a few 1 year olds, they also had bananas and cheerios, the bannanas were tempting to but I just ate my bar and drank some water. I heard it does get better. I am eating my last Medifast of the night right now, it's the mint soft serve..
