Got a quick question: Medifast Diet? (for people who have done it)? Looking forward for any answer. Second question.. Hi,.

I just started May 25 and I am alittle nervous but excited all at the same time. I need to lose at least 150lbs. It seems overwhelming but I am committed to doing this for my health and my family. I have been reading the posts and I have been inspired by the support. I will need alot of support but I want to also give support. This is a journey that I'm glad to share.

Welcome! You can certainly lose the weight you want on MF. It's a big step and it's very common to be nervous, excited, and worried. We all were when we started..

MyMedifast is a great site for tips, tricks, and support. Everyone here is working to lose weight and we all share the Medifast plan, so you've already got a place to find the information you need to succeed. All it takes is a real commitment to follow the program guidelines and the belief that you can do this. You can. You will..

I'm on a journey from 435 to 160, so I understand how big the number looks right now. But I've lost 66 pounds since Feb 8th 2010. If I can do it, you can do it too..

Please let me know if I can help you....

Michele,.

You can do this. Take it one meal at a time. Read all you can on the boards, take what you need and leave the rest!.

Hi Michele and welcome to Medifast it's a great program! You CAN do it... just like the countless people on here who have DONE it and ARE doing it....

The plan is simple, so.

Take it day by day follow it as it is written, read the blogs, join a group, stay focused and keep busy and you will be amazed on how the weight comes off. This is a great community with lots of support, and I hope you grow to love it as much as I do..

Wishing you much success!..

Welcome to Medifast!.

When I was starting my journey I was also very overwhelmed with having to lose 100+lbs..

I found the following on a page:.

"I don't have to lose 100lbs, just 10lbs, 10 times".

Breaking it up into smaller amounts makes it seem less daunting!..

Hi Michele! I'm just starting out too. Wow! I thought I was the only one who had the nervous/excited thing going on. Like you, I have a lot to lose, but I'm just thinking about a little at a time. Like right now I have three goals in mind: losing 5%, losing 10%, and getting below 200... so for me that's a total of 37 pounds. I find that a lot easier to swallow than the 110-120 I really want to lose.

I'll be checking on you and you do the same for me...

Hi Michelle and Welcome....

I HAVE lost 151 lbs - so this is absolutely doable. Take it one day at a time...For me, it's always been as long as the scale goes down, I'm a happy girl...doesn't matter how much as it all adds up!.

Also, if no one has told you already, take your measurements! This really really helps when weight loss stalls or is slow....I have lost over 4 feet in inches!!! It never ceases to amaze me..

These boards are a great resource! Come often when you get the urge to eat...it helps..

Also, the first week sucks embrace this fact and KNOW that it will be better real soon and you can get through it!.

Best wishes to you!..

The challenge will be this holiday weekend.

Ana is right, the first week really sucks!! Just embrace it. And while the food is good, it certainly isn't anywhere near as tasty as your favorite food! Find your mantra and recite it everytime you feel whiney about the food or the program. Hey, were all human, and you will have times where you will want to throw in the towel or wallow in a bit of self-pity..

My mantra is: Put your big girl panties on! You made it through 28 hours of induced labor with no drugs you can sure as h*ll resist a brownie!..
