Quick question: Medifast Diet help! Can I have carbs? Looking forward for any answer. My other question... I was wondering how much of a loss did you have 'till you felt thinner/better/different?.. |

Good question... I dunno what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could assist you..

When I hit the 50 lbs down mark... that is when things "felt" different!..
|
|
Looking back in my blogs, I started feeling PHYSICALLY really different at about 43 lbs down. I don't think I looked different, but boy was I moving dramatically different..
Mentally and emotionally, I felt incredibly different at the end of the first week. I'd felt out of control about my eating for over a decade - solidly, constantly out of control - and Medifast brought me such peace of mind and a feeling of powerfulness as I could finally do what I promised myself I was going to do.. Congratulations on a wonderful start!.. |

Leosojo, it was when I was nearing the 400 lb mark that something clicked in me to be able to do Medifast with no hesitation. Now that I have lost close to 30lbs I too am waiting to feel physically different. I don't look different, except my pants are slightly looser. If I was smaller, such a weight loss would make me look dramatically different. At this size, it is going to take quite a bit of loss to really see and feel it I thnk. But, the psychological change, losing the weight so easily, staying on a diet for long without craving or anger, or depression, well, that is one heck of a change I am feeling.
Under 300, and I will truly feel it (I hope). Keep us posted on your journey. Everyone's journey is different and inspiring... |

When I fit in a size 28 at about 365 or so. I don't know why... maybe it was just getting out of the 30's!!! And of course the day the scale said 299..

I started a little over 300. I have noticed little changes in how I physically feel right away..
The knees and ankles didn't hurt as much. I could do more without puffing. It is a bit. Surprising what even 10 pounds can do. I am a square dancer and it is much easier. This weekend we had a festival and I had people telling me how awesome I looked. How many 250 pound women get called awesome? Many of the changes you will not even notice at first, then it will hit you how something has changed. Don't expect miracles, but be grateful when you notice they have happened.. Pat.. |

I haven't lost 50 pounds or anything ... but my undies are starting to fall off! That makes me feel a tad smaller...

A year ago I lost 120lbs on MF. (Details available on my blog "Breaking up with MF")..
The pain in my back and joints disappeared after 25lbs.. I felt different at 50lbs.. Started getting compliments at 100lbs... |
|
Wow, When I saw 297 on the scale is when Iknew I was doing this for realz but now I had a "whoops" and I been struggling the last few months but Im trying to get that under control....I dont ever wanna see 300 again and my over all highest was 380...so I already lost 100 plus pounds~~~~..

I started at 310 and had a lot of lower back pain. The aches and pains went away within the first month. At the end of week 4, I was down to 290..
I didn't start feeling thinner until I lost 50 lbs and found I could wear XXL-1X clothes. To be honest, I keep taking pictures to compare with old pictures because I am just starting to believe that I am getting smaller. It is most noticeable in my face. And the girls.. |
|
Oh thank you ladies for your responses, pretty much what I was gauging, so i'll keep on keeping on until I reach my first girl and then start feeling the difference!.
Can't wait : ).. |

I love so many of the posts in this thread..
Thank you all for sharing... |

I was just at 300 when I started dieting and a tick under 300 when I hit MF. I'm at 27 lbs now. I don't feel full of energy, but I notice I walk faster and I don't huff at the top of the stairs. Pants are a little loose and I dropped a dress shirt size, but I did notice that I could button the top button of my dress shirt. I was always the guy at work with the top button open and the tie hanging. I haven't lost enough for alot of people to notice yet. But I am noticing small things...

For me I felt an instant relief when I found theses discussion groups after making the Medifast commitment. You may know what I mean when I say, I started the plan but was not so sure I would succeed until I started reading and getting support here. When I did my first day OP it was like starting the ball rolling (thus Sysiphus). That was my first mental difference. My physical effect came after losing 5 lbs (about one week). Pants fit better and seeing a bit of a change in my face..
You will do well here!.. |
