My 1st question is: Medifast Diet- IS it REALLY worth it? Thanks for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... Hi!, I have been on medifast for 7 weeks and I have lost 21lbs, I 'm writting this because even with this loss I 'm a little bit down, this morning when I told my husband that I'm now down 21lbs he told me "woua I cannot tell!" he makes me upset because I think my face is getting thinner even my clothes fit better! I know I still have 100lbs+ to go but I wished that with 21lbs loss some people could notice it, it seems I'm the only one!. Are you in that case?...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..

Oh I know how that one feels,.

First all, you're doing a fantastic job, keep right on doing it, 21 pounds in 7 weeks is GREAT..

As you can see I started with more than 100 pounds to lose, and honestly I didn't see any difference for ages, the scales kept telling me that I was losing. but I didn't look or feel a lot different, and people didn't notice. I just kept right on with the diet and then one day it seems that you have a load of baggy clothes, you look in the mirror and go OMG I've lost weight, and other people notice.

Maybe for some people it's different but mine just kept gooing in fits and starts, but as long as the scales said I was losing then that was fine. Now I've only got 20 or so pounds to lose, I think I can see every pound go, it certainly makes a difference to my clothes. Be patient, your rewards ARE waiting for you...

Hang in there, he see's you everyday and the day to day changes are not all that obvious..

Funny story..

One of the guys that works in the plant, came into my office a few weeks ago. He inquired very sheepishly if I had lost weight, I said yes, thanks for noticing. He told me his wife had recently gone from a size 18 to a size 6 and it wasn't until she was a size 10 that he noticed. He was in big time trouble he admitted, then he said to me "I love my wife, I see her everyday, I never noticed her weight before, why would I now?" he also told me that he was not all that aware that she was dieting. I felt bad for him because he felt really bad..

It took the guys here at work (the ones that do not know I was dieting) about 70#'s before they started to comment..

I would not take it personally, 21#'s is a great accomplishment, keep it up!..

I have lost 33 pounds and people are starting to notice at work, but I think they hold back b/c they don't want to offend us. I had a coworker today say, "Wow, you've lost 33 pounds, I thougt so. I was going to say something, but...".

As for my family-they say they can tell in my face. My 7 yo loves to tell me I'm shrinking every day. (yeah right-but thanks anyways.) Kids are so cute.

Keep up the good work, before long you will get comments from everyone that knows you..

Sissi,.

Sometimes I think our hubby's are missing a sensitivity chip.....and they open their mouths before thinking....and like Melissa said, I they have known us so long, and so intimately that they don't notice some of the subtle changes...

Hang in there! In another 21 lbs, it will start getting very noticeable!.

At 20 lbs lost, no one noticed (that I know of). At 30 lbs lost, a few people commented. At 40 lbs lost, EVERYONE notices!.

You are doing GREAT, keep up the good work! Before you know it, you'll be getting comments about your weightloss left and right!..

I just stumbled across this and had to comment. Hubby asked how I was doing "on THAT diet" I told him I have lost almost 30lbs. He said ...and I Quote. "hmmm, how much of that is water." Ya...sensitivity chip, not implanted on him..

I'll keep going for me. LOL not him...

It is wonderful that you have lost 21 pounds! Congratulations on your hard work paying off. I have lost 15 and am just beginning to notice a difference in how I feel, but not so much in how I look yet. Don't worry, it will come. Celebrate what you have lost so far and keep up the great work..

As for the hubby sensitivity chip, yeah... not so much. My husband is a great guy, but his idea of diet is just stop eating. So he says "Hmmm. A bunch of powdered drinks isn't going to work for long, but I guess do what you are going to do." Like I said, not so much. LOL..

21 pounds is awesome! I have a ways to go before I get there, but I can still identify because I lost over 20 pounds in the fall and no one noticed. Then I put them back on. This time when I hit 21 pounds lost, they are staying off and then some. Be proud!..

Husbands. Mine notices BUT I spoon feed (or rather force feed) him to get him to do it. When he hugs me I ask "so how much skinnier do I feel?" It only took a couple times before he figured out it was much better for HIM if he says "2 or 3 pounds skinnier, Honey". He might not just say it on his own but with a cattle prod he always gets the right answer! If Momma ain't happy ain't nobody happy. As far as other people....no one has noticed... but then again none of them are hugging me. Hang in there soon everyone will notice!!..

Take photos of yourself periodically and you'll document a difference. I've learned never to base my perception of things on anyone else's opinions..

Often people don't "notice" because they don't want to my husband is a classic example. I lost around 8 lbs. recently on a low calorie diet. (This was just prior to beginning Medifast yesterday). When I mentioned that fact in passing to my daughter, my husband remarked, "Oh, I thought you'd lost weight, but I didn't want to say anything because..." (His voice trailed off and neither my daughter or myself ever found out why he didn't.

Want.

To mention he noticed). He does, however, make it a point to tell me whenever I gain weight..

And so I suspect there are husbands (like mine) who think criticism is the best inspiration and heaven forbid they should say anything positive...
