Question I have... Medifast Diet vs Atkins - which is best for diabetic person? Thanks in advance for any response. Another quick question... Do you plan your whole day ahead of time ... pre-select your Medifast meals and all, or do you choose as close to consumption as possible?..

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could help you..

Yep, during the week I choose my breakfast plus the three meals I take to work with me first thing in the morning. My husband handles the lean and green for dinner. I am a lucky girl, he works from home and likes to cook, so dinner has always been his job..

Then, I wait until I am ready to have my last Medifast meal of the day in the evening and choose it whenever it is time to eat. On the weekends, I am more relaxed, when it's time for a meal, I go to the pantry and pick what I want...

I bet we are all different here, but like my daily work activities, food choice is random. Actually, that is exactly what makes Medifast work for me. I just have to take a packet and I know it will be right. Of course sometimes when I am "out" and cannot prepare, I will pick packets in the morning, prep em and take em. Kinda nice to put a shake in a sippy cup with crushed ice and have that later in the day... Even the soups benefit from the extra "soak" time in a thermal mug when I prepare them in the morning and have them for lunch..

I am probably an odd-ball on the L&G too, because of a "freshness" fetish, I typically pick up lean meats on a daily basis as well as veggies deciding at the market depending on what is available, what will be for dinner..

Good choice going Medifast - I know you will have great success!..

I use both methods. When my new order comes in, I pack 3 meals in a baggie for each work day. The other meals I eat randomly. I also make sure I always have a bar or two in my purse for whenever I am out of the house and it is time for a meal...

Since I do not "work outside the home" I choose what I want just before I eat it. If I had to work outside the home I'd have to choose ahead of time...

I don't pre-plan my meals. I eat whatever I am in the mood for in the morning - normally a coffee shake. Than I grab 3 easy to make at work meals (normally oatmeal, pudding, brownie - pretty much anything but a shake.) And for my evening meal, it is again whatever I am in the mood for. Normally this is the meal that I experiment with trying to come up with new recipes...

I always take out my 5 meals the night before because I soak my shakes and soups. So..the ones I start that night, I stick with and then if I change my mind about the others, well no big deal. Most of the time I do stick with it. I try to do a variety so I don't end up with 6 million soups and no brownies...

Because I work a ten hour day and have an hour commute (each way) I pack all my meals the night before. I mainly use the shakes, so I stick them in a plastic baggie to put in my lunch box. I usually cook my chicken or turkey on the weekend, slice and pack it in portions, so I can quickly prepare my L & G lunch the evening before. Sometimes I will prep everything for my work days on the weekends and put the portions in the freezer. On my days off, I am more flexiible, and always make sure I have a couple bars in my purse when I am out running errands, in case I am not at home when it's time to eat...
