I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you help..

I was going to get in our pool today and swim laps but I forgot the air condtioning guy was coming to put more vents in the house. my husband called and said just get in the pool anyway and I'm like umm HELL NO. no one is going to be subject to this body in a bathing suit except my family lol. then he told me well do your zumba and again umm HELL NO! lol...

Hi All,.

I was looking forward to the August challenge, but I'm going to have to skip this one since I'm not prepared to give up my Laughing Cow Cheese on a COT pita treat. It is the only modification I make to the plan, since all the recipes I've ever tried have always ended in disaster.

Good luck to everyone and I'll look forward to the September challenge - which I'll really need since I'll be in Scotland for almost the entire month and will be tempted by pork pies and sausage butties (my mouth is watering just writing their names!)...

Sorry friends, I can't join this challenge after all. I tried for 3 daya & could not get through one single day without adding SF syrup to one of my shakes, or going one day without one of my recipes. I have been on Medifast for so long that the basics 5/1 seem so blah to me..

Thanks any way Nicole for your idea & good luck to all who are on this challenge. The no tweaking rule is the one I can't follow Recipes are what help keep me OP because I like variety...

A goal is your vision. It is what you desire; what you aim to achieve. Goals should be personal and meaningful. We can give you ideas and suggestions, but unless the goals feel right, it will be difficult for you to make a lasting commitment to them. Commitment is the key to success!.

There are two types of goals: 1) outcome goals, which are the "prize" for all your hard work, and 2) behavior change goals, which are strategic plans you make to help you reach your outcome goals..

Setting specific behavior change goals will help you achieve your outcome goals. These may include shedding excess weight, improving your nutrition, getting into good physical shape, reducing daily stress, etc. Your behavior change goals should be realistic and have a measurable outcome..

Examples of behavior change goals include:.

I will eat 5 Medifast Meals and 1 Lean & Green meal per day..

I will walk briskly during my lunch hour for 20 minutes each day during the week..

I will drink 8 glasses of water daily..

I will not consume alcohol..

I will designate at least 30 minutes a day to an activity I find enjoyable or relaxing..

At times you will need to make adjustments, or change your goals, based on unforeseen obstacles that get in your way. This doesn't mean you give up on the goal; rather it means that you need to set up a contingency plan. We all lead busy lives, and sometimes we may fall behind on the important things - like exercise - and will have to make up for it by making sure we are still eating all the right foods. Stress is often an obstacle that can make us fall into bad habits, so taking time to relax and do things you enjoy could be just the thing you need to stay on track...

It's ok, Blanche. Not every challenge will work for everyone. Some people just get lost in the tweaking and adding that the basics get thrown out the window..

I understand...some people just can't give up their modifications..

NO BIGGIE! September will be good....any ideas? Want to do another weight loss challenge? Or a water challenge? Or exercise challenge....give me your ideas!..

I'm doing great! I have a hard time justifying the recipes anyway. I don't know... it just seems like cheating (although I know it's not!) I've tried a few (previously) and they are good - but I think I am just so motivated that they might trip me up. So this challenge is perfect for me!.

I'm coming in kind of late, but I definitely need the accountability. I do well during the day, but I'm up late right now since I am off of work until Monday. Late night is usually when I crack and have a bite of regular food even after having my lean and green. Am still working on getting all my water in consistently...

Ok - this week has not been good. I had two regular soda's (which I never drink) I usually just drink water all the time. But I paid for them, the scale didn't move much and the caffeine kept me up at night. So I am starting fresh today. My new order arrives today or tomorrow and I ordered lots of shakes. I'm going to focus on my water and hopefully get below the 25 lbs mark by next Friday..

How is everyone doing?..
