Got a question... Medifast recipes other than those for drinks, using red raspberry juice concentrate? Thanks for any comment. Another quick question... Ok I'm a little less than 3 weeks until my.

Surgery.

Date. If I wake up early my mind starts working & I can't get back to.

Sleep.

So around 4 a.m. this morning I'm thinking about going to 2nd hand stores for clothes. I then thought what about bras? I know I'll.

Lose weight.

From my boobs first and bras are soooo expensive anymore. I don't think they sell them 2nd hand either. What have others done? Buy the cheapest ones you can find?..

I haven't been spending huge amounts on bras forever now.. (however when I wear a bra.. I have to wear two). I haven't noticed a huge decrease in my breasts at all. I have decreased in the band size though and it was gradual. I have been buying bras from walmart or Kmart and you can get them at a decent price. You may want to try that until you get to a more permanent size and then get the more expensive ones...

@Heather...

You wear 2 bras? One on top of the other? I never thought of that! But it would definitely work for support. hmm....

@Vicki.

I've seen bra's at second hand stores. Heck Ive seen panties (ew). And if you cant find any second hand or cheap you might try a tank top with a built in bra to keep the girls in line. I wear a tank top style body briefer and it makes everything stay in place...

I waited a little too long to replace my bras and underwear. How did I know this? At my one of my post op appt's with my surgeon, we discussed how well everything was going and he answered my questions. Then on his way out the door, he looked back at me, smiled and said, "You know, you really need to go out and treat yourself to some new, smaller undergarments"..

OK, if my doctor noticed my saggy, baggy granny panties were way to big and my "girls" were lost in my now oversized bras, it was definately time to hit the stores. I went from a very tight 44DD to a comfortable, Victoria Secret :) 36C. Yeah me!!..

This is a good topic! And I like lose2live's story about the doctor!! LOL.

Since the last 35 lbs of my weight gain were within about the last 3 years (since starting insulin), I've got several bras to get me through the initial stages.... after that, I'll gladly do the Walmart/Kmart thing until things "stabilize".....

I still have ways to go but I recently invested in a couple of bras at Victoria's Secret. They are adjustable and I figured worth the investment. Its not about being vain Im all about comfort and definitely do care what my breasts look like- -can't have the girls on a party on their own...lol I wouldn't personally buy something cheap only because you want the support to your breasts as your body changes..

I have seen second hand stores carry bras. Im personally leary of that and draw the line at the under garments...lol.

Sears always has good sales on bras and they are of good quality. TJ Maxx, Target, and Walmart are some other stores that I use for these type of purchases...

I have lost 117 lbs in 40 weeks since my.

Surgery.

And I too was buying bras like crazy for.....well they have shrunk a lot. Someone told me to go out and buy a sports bra once size too small (at that time) for it will just push your breast in being once size too small, then when you loose weight you will eventually fit into it perfectly...that has worked for me very well and I love wearing the sports bras...

Don't buy in advance on this one, everyone is different. I went from a 44DD (or 42DD with extender) all the way to a 40D, occasionally a 38, but not usually. This is over a 125 lb loss. My friend who has lost about the same amount of weight went from a 44DD to a 38B. It also depends on the cut of the bra and the cup. I'm at goal and finally went shopping for some new good bras and was totally overwhelmed.

With a lightly padded cup you can get away with size variations a little better.See how they shrink - they may not be the first to go, mine weren't and I'm still looking for underwire panties - that's were I need the support now..

I never throw anything out, which in this case is a blessing, I have sizes up and down the spectrum..

I'm about 50% of the way to losing, and have lost about 70 lbs. Luckily, I had old bras that were in reasonable shape..

When I start going down to the next size I think I'm going to go get fitted by a pro. What I've done in the past is get fitted and buy one or two expensive bras and then look on ebay for cheaper versions..

Crazy, but Costco by me also sells champion sports bras and they work in a pinch...

I am really hoping and praying that I lose circumference but that I keep my cup size. I check out the girls every morning, and six weeks post-op, I believe they are still essentially the same size..

Bras are so expensive, but you better believe that as soon as I know I can wear some from Victoria's Secret, I am going to buy some of the super sexy ultra push up check out my cleavage bras...

I wore my old ones for as long as I possibly could. Then, I bought a new one when I couldn't take it any longer. Not only did my inch size change, but so did my cup size. Just hold on to your old ones for as long as you can tolerate them...
