I'm really bummed and thinking about quitting MF. Last month I only lost 3 lbs. I'm not willing to pay $300 a month to lose 3. Now I've been 100% for more than a week.... I've gone UP 1.5 pounds. Yes, I know weight fluctuates...

I'm doing it all right.... yet I went up?!?!?! It's really, really depressing. I could've easily been in the 220's if not less by now if I had kept up an "expected weight loss of 2-5 lbs per week." I don't know what's going on...... and I am really frustrated...

DrSteph - I'm right there with ya! So far this month I've only lost 3 lbs and I'm discouraged but I know it will be alright. I hate spending the money for this program but I also hate being overweight. According to some of the things I've read on the board from veterans...stalls are normal. Stick with it and the weight will start coming off again. I know it is very discouraging but just keep going each day and it will get better. I'm taking my own advice and handling it that way..

Best of Luck!..

Hello 100%ers.

I was up coughing all night and finally called a 24 hr pharmacy to speak to the pharmacist to see if I had anything in my medicine cabinet that I could take with my current meds. I finally took some Dayquil at about 5am and got a little sleep (Nyquil was off limits...).

So, I slept in and weighed later today and was hoping for a whoosh. No such luck. I'll cross my fingers for tomorrow. Tomorrow marks 1 week for up so I can't wait to see how we all did...

I think I am saving money on this program. I was eating out for lunch 5 days a week and 3-4 nights a week. I bought breakfast out 2 or more times a week as well. I am using the savings to reward myself when I reach my various goals..

I know a 3 pound loss is disappointing for a month, but ask yourself if you were not dong Medifast what would the weight loss be? Just check over what you are doing and make sure that you are following the program and drink a lot of water. I am doubling the required water..

Good Luck and do not give up!!!!..

Wow! one more day (night) until weigh-in! I can't believe it- this week flew by! I hope you are all having a great day- I'm in the middle of a stack of papers that I need to grade but I wanted to check in! I wish you all great losses tomorrow!!!..

@DrSteph...last week I feeling like I was stalling, so I tried to go to at least 3 lower calorie/lower carb Medifast items like shakes, tea, fruit mango drink, etc. I lost 2.5 lbs this week, so that's good. Also, I have read that if you try switching up the time you eat your L&G, that can help too. Next week I'm going to experiment with eating my L&G for lunch instead of dinner and see what happens. Good luck! HANG IN THERE!..

"The pain of discipline hurts less than the pain of regret.".

Dietwalker - your end of message slogan saved me from an extra Medifast meal a couple of days ago when I was ready to gnaw off my right arm - it is oh so true!.

Hi all - tomorrow is the BIG day.the end of week 1. I'm not overly optimistic about my weight loss as I've been a bit under the weather and suspect that my body has slipped into self-preservation mode BUT any weight loss will be welcome. I've stayed OP and have been walking more than usual. I tend to lose weight SLOWLY and while it's a complete drag to hit a plateau I shall endeavor to remain cheerful NO MATTER WHAT..

Is it my imagination or have we lost about 30 people somewhere?..

GREAT JOB this week!!! Thanks for the support and advice! You know... as I ate my bar for snack today, I was thinking how I eat the exact same Medifast meals everyday at the same time (with some changes on weekends), and I saw the shakes and wondered about drinking more of those. So.... I think I'll try that for the next week and see what happens! I'll think about switching the L&G too. Thanks!..

Hey all,.

Hope everyone is doing well staying OP. Is it just me or does anyone else freak out about the condiments? I always think I have used some even when I haven't and then I get all worried about it...sort of silly, I'm sure it's a control thing...

Yep...it all adds up each pound loss....(dont worry I was there to at one point in the very way of my weightloss journey!).

But if you stay with it...you will see those 3-4 pounds drops I'm sure of...we all go through diff phases of weightloss each week!..

Yes I definitely freak out about them...weird but I know what you mean! Im afraid I may not lose anything if I use something or I may knock myself out of ketosis..but I never rarely use them besides salad dressing or LC !..

What's LC? BTW salt and pepper on an arm might be condiment overdose...

I am the same way! Today's L&G was actually at lunch (I'm usually a dinner L&G-er) at Panera. I was TOTALLY freaking out. I got on these boards to research what people eat at Panera and most folks recommended the Asian chicken salad, extra chicken, no wontons, dressing on the side. There were some almond shavings and sesame seeds. I have been freaking out about it all day..

Normally at Panera I probably would have had about 1000 calories in my soup and sandwich, so that's a victory, but I still can't believe how I freak about almond shavings and sesame seeds (haha)...

Hello Everyone,.

Wow great to see everyone supporting each other. I am very sorry I have been MIA the last 4 days. This week has been tough in many ways. Started back up Medifast for the first time in 8 months on Wednesday, experiencing complete exhustion for the past several days to then get my TOM.

- life was playing a evil game with me! Add to that computer issues and a sprinkle of laziness and you get MIA..

My deepest apology! I promise to work on being a better participant & co-leader. Thank goodness to my dear friend Lisa who has kept the suport going as a co-leader in starting this board. I am very grateful!!!!! Thanks Lisa!!!!.

Ok so I have already told Lisa and I will admit here - I was not 100% this past Saturday.

I had to work and was carpooling with someone last minute. Next thing I knew it my Medifast bag was in my car and I was off in another car. I freaked! I did my best drinking water and black coffee but when the person drove into McDonalds I almost ate my arm! I ended up getting a chicken sandwich & ate it without the bun & had a diet coke. I also ate a 100% calorie packet of pretzels at some point. I struggled & it sucked to be in my first week and already compromise my success. The minute back to my car at the end of the day I was eating a bar as I drove away happy to be back on track.

Drsteph, I read what you wrote and I so related! All I can say is this - I was also you 8 months ago and I decided to walk away and stop spending the $. I am now 40 pounds heavier and the money I have spent on food and junk food far supasses what I paid monthly. Keep on the path!! You can do this because you are a strong woman! I have this book called "Life without Ed" and the author, Jennie Schaefer talks about her eating disorder (Ed) by declaring a divorce from it (him). She talks about how dysfuntional Ed is in her life and how sneaky he will become because he doesn't want a divorce and he will fight tooth and nail to stay! He will lie! He will decieve! and your post made me think: Ed is telling you it will be cheaper to quit, Ed is telling you "look you are not losing much weight - what a waste of time!" and he is feeding into your weaknesses. You are a mighty force to be reckoned with Steph so Stay strong! Prove to Ed that signing the divorce papers meant it was over for good.

Best to you all! Looking forward to tomorrow's post and how everyone did this week!.

I'm still here!! I'm going to be MIA for most of the rest of this week. I'm headed to Las Cruces to help my brother in law install some windows in his other house. I'm going to bring my laptop but I don't know if I'll have time to drop in. I do plan on being 100% OP we'll be eating out every meal so it's going to be tricky. I'm going to bring some veggies in a cooler and keep them in the mini fridge so that should make things easier.. I guess I could just go to the local grocery store and just buy some there instead of having to pack them...

What a dork! Today was pretty good. I stayed 100% OP and was able to get a good run in. Unfortunately I slipped on a curb getting out of my car on the way to my evening class and jacked up my ankle. This totally sucks! I'm probably going to lose an entire week of running but I'm going to swim while we're at the hotel so I'll get some extra cross training in this week. I'm hoping the ice pack I've had on it for the past 4 hours will help..
