My question is Nutrisystem diet Plan ? Breakfast , Lunch , & Dinner ? Thanks for any response. Second question.. I just started the program a couple of days ago. For most of my life I could eat whatever the hell I wanted to eat and never worry about it. At about age 35 I began getting gerd, and was put on a proton pump inhibitor. I also had a job that kept me pretty active before that, and went to a desk job about that time..

I'm pushing 42 now, and pushing maximum density. I've gone from about 185lb to 230ish. A lot of the problem comes from eating a ton of fast food. So I started Nutrisystem on Tuesday of this week, and my body is trying to adjust. I never eat breakfast, and I basically have to force myself to eat in the mornings. In the evenings, I have been eating around 7 to 7:30, and as the evening drags on I begin to get really hungry.

I have kept it pretty healthy, rice cakes or fruit or celery or something. But it still feels like cheating, probably because it is..

Anyway, I'm eating in the morning when I'm not hungry, and getting very hungry in the late evenings. How long can I expect before my body starts to adjust to this new schedule?..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..

That's been my biggest challenge too. I don't get hungry in the mornings and don't even get hungry all day, mostly. I used to only eat once a day - no food until evening, then over-eat all night up to bedtime. That's how I got fat..

What's working for me is to not eat b-fast until about 9:00 (even though I'm not hungry, I force it in the morning). Go to the gym over lunch (11:30-12:30 or so), then an additional protein drink (you'll need this if you're working out hard on the Nutrisystem program). I do the "mid-morning" protein and fruit around 1:00. After 4:00, a lunch entre. I rarely have time for lunch salad. Around 6:00 a full Nutrisystem dinner, many times with a huge salad that covers all the lunch salad, dinner veggies and fat (Galeo's dressing is THE answer) then follow up with the 2 Nutrisystem snacks as needed in the later evening.

Don't let youself get hungry or you'll mess up. Allow 1 hr after eating to figure out if you're really still hungry or not. Many evenings, I don't even get hungry enough to do the Nutrisystem snacks and have no trouble getting to sleep. That was my biggest fear in this and it is not an issue. This is probably not "correct" Nutrisystem technique, but sliding it all back a bit and eating the entire program is working well for me at this point.

Today is my first day on the food and I have to tell you that it has been very hard to eat this much by lunch. I never really ate breakfast since high school 20 years ago. Very full now (2:30pm) but fear that I will get hungry in the evening. I also workout a lot and trying to figure out the best eating time (do not like to workout right after eating and usually not hungry right after working out) seems to be a challenge as I try to run during the day and then play hockey at night, or go to yoga.

With the sig other. Well, just me venting...

How many times each day are you eating? You need to be eating 6 times each day (every 2-3 hours). Here is the schedule that Nutrisystem has given us and the approximate times I eat each meal:.

Breakfast (7 AM).

Morning snack (10 AM).

Lunch (Noon).

Afternoon snack (2-3 PM).

Dinner (5-6 PM).

Dessert (8-9 PM).

You will find this schedule in your pamphlet meal planner as well as on the online meal planner. All times are approximate. Just make sure you are eating every 2-3 hours..

Keep us posted on how things are going for you...

I'm sticking to the schedule, just starting a little later and eating breakfast around nine like Gordon and going from there. Hopefully my body will adjust to the new eating schedule soon...

Actually, having your body adjust is not such a good thing. That means a stall, after 6 to 8 weeks into this lifestyle change you will, more than likely, stall somewhere around -10%. Don't fret, adjust your thinking to accept this might , most likely, will happen helps a lot. Plus your individual stall may be over before you realize you are in one. Another bright spot is that it could bypass you altogether..

And yes, I know you didn't mean you hoped to stall out, I just figured it would be a good lead-in to throw that info out there. There is a real art to answering questions that you don't even know you have yet..

Remember: Whilst in a stall, please no toe-tapping. Just sayin'.

I know the last 3 posts are lengthy but there are a few things in there worth knowing. Even if you didn't know you wanted to know yet. Thank you earthdaddy for the use of your thread as a platform for these sometimes humorous nuggets of knowledge. Yes, I'm a post *****...
