First question I have is Original Medifast Diet vs. Supercharged version? Looking forward for any answer or 2. Second question.. OK, ladies of the Onederland Express, our new thread is here. Our old one was getting a bit unwieldy, so I thought now might be a good time to start a new one. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in!.

(OK, so the thread title is a little hokey, but all I could think of when I started it was the porter standing on the boarding steps of an Amtrak train shouting, "Boooaaard!" as the train engine starts up. LOL!!)..

Hello to everyone..

Nora...I am right with you in getting rid of these last few pounds on the way to Onederland. Let's get this done, once and for all..

UK...Unfortunately, I don't have many cloths left in my closet to grow "down" into. I got rid of all of my small cloths last year, thinking at the time that I was just doomed to be large for the rest of my life. But that was pre MF..

Welcome Melusina and hello Geri...glad to see you are joining us here..

Raven...thanks for starting the new thread..

Hello Karen and Meri..

I am glad I found this new thread to post on. I am thinking of you all and wishing you all another great Medifast week..

I got a new "do". Yesterday I colored my hair and today I went in for a much needed haircut. The lighting makes my coloring look orange...not really quite that color. Also, in the pic on the bottom right, you can see the reflection of my backside as I take the photo..

Thanks for starting us off Raven! I really like the title. Good job! I hear that also when taking Amtrak. It is fun riding the train..

Ok, back to our onederland express train. I continue to do my workout routine and something great is happening. I am not setting records on the old scale by any means, but my body is changing indeed. I can take my jeans off without unbutton or unzipping. Jeans I could not even wear a few months ago. I just feel smaller.

I am only five foot one tall so when I get smaller I start to feel "compact". I am starting to get that "compact" feeling and it is great. Somehow I just feel like I am shrinking. I have goal pants for this month that I plan to wear on March 1. Will keep you posted on that..

Happy Melting everyone and keep moving!.

Geri, you are TOO funny! LOL I seem to recall making that same claim back a couple of months ago when you started the positivity thread..

I wouldn't give up the Express and Flirts for the same reason. Ah well.....

To second her thoughts, there are a number of good people on the positivity thread who post messages helping each other stay in a good frame of mind. Chappy's daily quotes are a must read for me as she often pinpoints how I am feeling and makes it better..

If you do find that you are ever at a low point and want a quick pick me up, it is a great place to get one..

Then, of course, I would never give up the folks here! This was one of my first groups to join. I was truly inspired by many people here on this thread and their continued presence in my Medifast life is important to mefrom "Keep on melting" to "having a right to do a thing..." my life has been blessed by getting to know ALL of you..

This journey is a life-time commitment. I am proud to share it with you..

Thanks, Raven, for starting the new thread. Welcome to the new posters..

OK, ladies, I've discovered that my new pattern has held true to it's form. The last 2 weeks saw a gain of about 3 pounds (I think it was related to the medication for a thyroid test I had to take) early on and then no loss for nearly 2 full weeks. This week I am down 6.6 pounds! I am so so close to goal now; I can hardly believe it! In fact, I am considering lowering my goal by about 10 more pounds once I get to my current goal, because 175 is at the top of my healthy range. I think I'd like to get a little closer to the middle of that range. So I will consider staying on the 5-1 plan a little longer. I have to admit though, I am almost salivating at the thought of eating fruit in a few weeks!! LOL!! Who would have thought?!..

Happy Melting Friday and great losses everyone! I lost 1.2 this week (looking at TOM here). But I am still in my minus 2 to minus 2.5 goal lost per week on averages. I have made a chart with dates and wts. to keep me on my goal target. This will get me to goal mid October..

It is a slower pace but I have to reduce in a manner that I can stay true to. I have got my exercise routines down and it is becoming a daily habit. Clean healthy eating is getting easier each day and having a goal that works better for my lifestyle is working for me. Yea, I would like to dump all the wt. like NOW, however I know my history and am taking a different approach in 2010. As long as I meet my weekly minus 2 pounds on average I will be getting this done..

Find what works for you as an individual and go for it!.

Happy Melting and keep moving!.

Thought it may be my first gain in the 6 months I have been on the program!! But the scale went down this morning so I should have a loss for the week!! It will be a small one - but every ounce and pound counts and gets me closer to Onderland and my Final Goal!!.

We have almost 2 feet of snow here in Philly!! So they train can't even find the track outside my house! But I am on the Onderland Express and chugging down the track!! I won't stop til I am in Onderland and then Goal!!..

I saw my 14 year old granddaughter on Saturday. I haven't seen her much lately, because, if you know much about teenage girls, they spend as much time as they can either in their rooms texting, talking, etc. or spending time away from home with their friends. But Saturday I happened to be at her house when she came home from her cheer competition. I was outside when she arrived and she walked up to me with a great big beautiful smile and in her teenage girl way of talking, she said, "Nana, have you, like, been losing weight or something?" I have now lost 80 pounds and she is finally noticing something is different?!?!? I don't know what is different since last week, but I have gotten quite a few, "your getting skinny" comments in the last few days. Maybe it's my new hair cut, but what ever it is, I'll take it..

Allison is wearing the jacket and medal she received for her cheer team winning National Champions at their recent cheer competition:.

Happy Monday Melting Morning Everyone! Welcome to everyone new here! Congrats to all the great losers here! I am on my way once again and the scale is moving downward. I weigh each day of this Melting February and tracking my trends. Took Sat and Sun off of formal exercise and will start up again today for my 5 days per week cardio and adding more strength training this week. Planning 30 to 40 minutes of cardio and then moving into the fitness ball and resistant tubing. I have a resistant tubing DVD I need to dive into and learn today..

My bad eating is subsiding and I am on the road to healthy eating once again. It is so easy when I do it I need to get my brain to do it each day. If I stay under 1200 calories per day the scale goes down. How much easier could it be? I ordered 4 boxes of brownies. A leap of faith. Hope they are tasty.

Only another medifaster would understand that statement in the least bit..

Have a great day everyone and remember everyday in February is a day to melt the fat!.

It's Monday! It's my weigh in day! I weigh in everyday but today is my "official" day. After 4 weeks OP I'm 15 lbs lighter and 11.25" smaller! YEAH! I'm so glad I decided to try MF..

I had my very first NSV last night. We went to our friend's house for Superbowl and they both said they can see that I lost weight. The last time they saw me was on New Year's Eve so that made me happy. My Honey doesn't notice because he sees me everyday. I'm feeling so good about everything!.

This week is my birthday. We will be overnighting at Disney for a couple of days (one of the benefits of living so close to the Mouse) and then to to an overnight at the beach for Valentine's Day. I am not scared because I am all set to stay OP. After 1 month, I am too vested in this to mess it up now. I feel really good and that's addictive!.

We have Brownies now!!! BROWNIES!!!!! YEAH!!!! I already edited my order even though it doesn't go out until the March 1..

I hope everyone has a great OP day!.

Here come more pictures...this time of my oldest daughter, Amy. I know I have shared some of this before, but I am updating her progress here..

I had never heard of Medifast until she and her family came to visit in August. She brought along her white packets of Medifast meals, which sparked my interest and got me to asking questions about the program. I could see that she had lost weight since the last time I had seen her. That is when my own journey here began. Amy doesn't have a profile on this site. She leads a very busy life with 3 children, working as an RN in Labor and Delivery at two different hospitals and is also back in school pursuing her Masters and then on to a PhD in nursing.

I am attaching before and after photos of her here. I haven't seen her looking this beautiful for almost 15 years (she is now 37 going on 14...hee, hee...she pierced her nose and her bellybutton herself). Thanks for indulging me and allowing me to be a proud mom..

Before, with her three kids, Hannah, Noah and Ethan..

Going, going, gone....

And here she is today.....

Good Evening, may I board this train?.

I recognize a few of you from other threads I lurk on or participate in. Hi everybody.

I have had a slow January, staying on plan pretty much but not exercising like I should and it shows. My goal was to hit 225 for my B-day (this past Saturday) when I had to go renew my drivers license. I made that goal, yeah me. I thought when I hit goal I will go back and have the license redone, that was until I spent 3 hours at the DMV on Friday.

Perhaps, I can live with what it says for 4 years..

I really need to figure out a good exercise routine and a way to make myself do it. I had knee surgery last August where my ACL was removed, I faithfully went to PT 2-3x's a week thru the end of December and then January came and I got on my bike a couple of times a week and did my knee specific exercises about once a week. It shows, my knee is bugging me, it is my own fault. I hate exercise, I always have, I hate to be hot and I hate to sweat. Ugh, I need to get over it. Due to the knee I am limited in what I can do.

I told my hubby that we need to just get up and go walk every morning.......yeah, this morning it was 20 when we got up.....I rolled over and went back to sleep for that 15 minutes.

Anyway, I do love this program and I hope you all are a chatty group!..

Alana, Amy is beautiful (but I knew she would be cuz you're her mom! LOL).

Mamacat, I walk almost every morning. I do my best to make sure I get at least two miles in. Here lately I have been concentrating on my speed for that distance. I am trying to get below 30 minutes. thus far, my shortest time has been 32 and a half..

I have a treadmill that I use because it is usually rainy here in the UK. I get up around 0430, lurk/look at the boards for a while, then walk from 0500 until I get in my two miles. I try to be at work by 7..

Hope that helps!..

Happy Melting Tuesday Ladies! Down one pound from yesterday and finding my groove. Working to rid the 220's Forever! Finally got over my 230's yo-yoing life and moving on down!.

Last night at my mom's group a personal fitness trainer spoke with us. She talked about adding interval training to one's workout. She stated twice per week for 30 minutes during cardio do it as interval training and the pounds come off. Meaning if you are on a treadmill or elliptical or outside running or whatever the exercise is interval training would be to go as fast as you can for one minute and then recover for 2 minutes at a regular pace, and then 1 minute fast as you can and keep doing this for the 30 minutes. The timing can be worked up to. So maybe one can only go fast for less than a minute and needs 3 minutes at normal pace, just working up eventually..

She also said changing things up is important. Especially changing our exercise up every 6 weeks or so. Also said bottom line is the eating. To lose weight one has to be eating appropriately as exercise alone with a bad diet will not do the trick. I read somewhere that losing wt. is 70% diet and 30% exercise..

So have a great day everyone!.

Happy Melting, healthy eating, and keep moving!.

Happy Melting Wednesday! Welcome everyone! All are welcome no matter what the scale says! We are here to support our getting to a under 200 pound carcus and staying there forever! Some have gone under 200 and doing terrific. As for me it is a little slower but I will get there. I do get impatient, but just need to keep working at this every day. I have lost about 31 pounds since Jan. 2009. Nothing to write home about, yet it is.

My highest wt. in my adult life was 272 pounds. I am happy I have beaten that down and have not rose above it as my mode of operation has always been to hit a high and go beyond. I knew this years ago in the back of my head when I hit 175. I told myself stop now or this will get out of control...........well it did get out of control. Here is to a life of taking control back and making wise choices each day.

Good, bad, or indifferent I have weighed each day in February and am charting my wts. I force myself to do this to look at trends and identify things that work better than others. I am finding if I keep my calories under the 1200 mark I lose with grace..

It really is all about making good choices each day. No one is perfect and we just have to try our best and eventually this obesity will be history..

Happy Melting and keep moving!.

The train is moving indeed! Hit 219.4 today...........a major milestone to get out of the 220's forever and ever and ever. I am staying off scale for a few days in order to let this soak as I NEVER want to see 220 again, ever, ever, ever, ever! Working on my brain now convincing it that I really need to live in an under 200 body..

So much the mind plays a role in what the scale says we weigh. For me it is all hand to mouth and making good choices each day to be healthy..

Have a great melting Thursday!.

Nora, Congratulations on the milestone! Those pounds are just going to keep on melting with all of the energy you have..

Great job!.

Kaitlin, I know just what you mean about the talking to self issue. I always pretend that I am talking to someone here online, but in reality know that mostly I am talking to myself and doing my best to pump myself up when I hit those mood swing lows......

Rose Snow glad to see you on board! I myself feel the need to get some music on right now just so I can boogie with you..

Isn't Medifast a great feeling? LOL.

Raven? How are you doing? Are you still with us?.

Personally, I have been spending a lot of time at different stations (plateaus) this last few weeks. Once again, TOM has slowed down the process. I think I need a new conductor because TOM sure puts on the brakes! Of course, BM issues don't help..

TMI, sorry! LOL Starting today, Friday, in a great mood though as we have a three-day weekend and I am NOT worried about staying OP! Yeah!.

Have a great day, Express!..

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to Kaitlin and Rose-Snow. It's always good to see new people here..

Nora, what a great feeling to get into an entirely new decade of weight! Congrats to you. I know it has been tough for you, but you haven't given up. What a triumph that is!.

I'm still here, Butterfly. It's been a crazy hectic week at work, so when I do get a chance to look at the boards when I get home or on my break, I read a lot of posts and answer just occasionally..

I hopped on the scale for my weekly weigh-in this morning, and was hoping to be in the 170's, but just missed it. I lost 1.1 pounds this week, which puts me at 180.1. I am so eager to be done with the weight-loss portion of this program. I've had people tell me I've lost enough, just go into transition now. Of course, they have no idea. I need to actually finish what I set out to do and accomplish this goal.

I had a very clear beginning and I have a very clear end in my mind. I have to get to the end before I can move on to the next phase..

When I started this program, I was not convinced that I could get under 200 pounds, so that was my initial target: just get to 200 pounds. Then, the more I learned, the more committed I became. The more committed I became, the more convinced I was that I could get to the lowest weight I remember ever being 185 pounds. I didn't care that 185 was still considered overweight. I had to set that as a target in order to have a concrete point in my life to compare to. Then, after losing even more weight (but still nowhere near the 185 pound magic number), I knew that I had to get out of the overweight category altogether.

It is very important to me to see that "normal" come up when I hit that goal. I will feel as though I have not only been a success in this phase of the program, but I will also have achieved something which I had previously thought was simply unattainable for me. I know for a fact that I can and I will achieve that goal. Once I hit 175, I will truly be in uncharted territory as an adult. I may transition at that point, or I may decide to go 5-10 pounds lower, to put me in the middle of "normal".

I have plenty of time to decide. I've learned a tremendous amount about myself this past year, and one of those things is that I am in control of many things in my life. My weight (barring illness) is one of those things. I have a great deal of say in how healthy I will be, and what I will eat, and how active I will be. The decision to go to 170, or 165, or stay at 175 is entirely mine..

Today is my weigh-in day:.

-2 pounds for the week.

-81 pounds in 24 weeks.

That's an average of 3.37 pounds a week.

I have added some mini goals in my signature as I make this push towards my final goal..

Will try to catch up with everyone here later. Wishing you all a great day!!..

Believe it or not, I had about the same conversation with one of my parents (to a student) today. She was complimenting me on how much I have already lost and suggested that I had lost enoughthat more would be for the wrong reasons. I explained that my goal is to get healthyto be OFF meds once and for all (at least as much as my doc will let me). Once I had explained, she could understand why I am still plugging away..

We discussed how awesome it has been to have my own cheering section with my students helping me stay focused and determined to reach my healthiest weight ever. Many times it is their "way to go, Mrs. H." that keeps me OP during these long / cold winter days..

I know that your continued journey is another reason for me to stay OP. You are setting a GREAT example for me on the continuing learning process of MF. Thank you! Between your re-evaluating your goals, and the encouragement I see from Nora about exercise/suggestions to help with exercise, I am able to look at what I have accomplished with fresh eyes and renewed determination..

It is a three day weekendand a fresh holiday full of the chocolate pitfalls. LOL I hope everyone finds the perfect NSV to celebrate over this weekend. Take care,..

Happy Melting Friday everyone! Great job on all your losses this week! I did weigh today and am holding at 219.4 so am happy to begin living under 220. Soon I will begin to live under 200! This is as much psychological as it is physical..

When the wt. loss begins to slow down............I have been reading about calorie shifting. I am uncertain a medifast 100%er would want to entertain this theory and I would not want to derail anyone from 100%, but I believe it has merit and is worth a look. Calorie shifting is changing the amount of calories one eats to keep the body guessing. This keeps the metabolism working at it's best. I suppose one could do this within the Medifast model perhaps eating a range of caloric intake from 800 calories to 1200 calories.

Again, just an idea, but I feel worthwhile investigating. Calorie shifting also called zig zagging. Google it if interested..

Happy Melting!.

Reality Check....

I finally broke down and bought three new pair of pants today. Up until this point on this journey (I am now 24 weeks on MF), I have not had to buy one single item of clothing. Well, take that back, I did buy some new undergarments. But because of the generosity of a fellow MFer plus some people on the Freecycle.org groups I belong to, I have had plenty of cloths to grow into on my way down the scale without having to spend any money..

But now all my pants are baggy on me, very comfortable.

But sloppy looking. So I hit the big sale going on today at a local department store. I walked out of there with 2 pair of slacks (sizes 14 and 16) and one pair of jeans, belt included (size 16), costing me a grand total of $45 dollars. The price tags before the sale for all three totaled $145, so I came away like a bandit...love finding bargains!!!.

In 5 1/2 months I have gone from wearing size 28-30 to size 14-16...unbelievable!!!.

Here is the reality check in all of this. I could just sit on my laurels, relishing in my new, svelter size...ha, ha..

But then I looked at myself in the dressing room mirror...and I didn't like what I saw!!.

If that doesn't bring a person back to reality, I don't know what will..

So I will continue to plod along with the knowledge that I still have a lot of work to do and that I can't stop and become complacent with my new clothing size. This is just a place I am passing through on my way to my final goal..

I sure wish department stores had mirrors like this one:..

Good morning, Express!.

I have been up cruising and reading for about an hour. It is nice just to listen to the ticking of the clock and keys as I cruise along this Medifast line, checking out the different stops along the way..

When I checked myPlan from yesterday, I was trying to figure out why my scale moved in the wrong direction this AM. I discovered that the Boca meatless chik'n and spinach I had for my LG yesterday were LOADED with carbs! Ouch! Back to real protein today! I haven't had more than 100 carbs since starting Medifast so was very disappointed in myself when I discovered 112 for yesterday! I may just have to limit my meatless days by a bunch!.

DH and I are negotiating where we want to celebrate Valentine's. I had planned a little meal here at home. He wants to go out for Mexican and a movie. Fajitas sans sour cream, guacamole, tortillas, etc. could work for me.....but then torture by popcorn as well? Sigh....the things we do for love!.

I am not sure if he is saving that for tomorrow or planning on doing it today. I do know that I will need to go out to work and get some certificates made over the next few days. The work never ends!.

Have a great OP Saturday, Express!..

I just went back a couple of pages, and I don't recall welcoming Julianne and Smile2010. I sure don't want anyone to feel ignored here, so if I did not welcome you before, please accept my apologies and a hearty welcome!.

Butterfly, I am so glad to hear that I have been able to contribute to your success thus far. You are doing such a great job on this program, and I know with your upbeat attitude you will succeed at reaching your goal..

I had the strangest craving yesterday. When I woke up, all I could think of was Outback Steakhouse! LOL! I know myself well enough now to know that when I crave something so specific that my body needs something. When I used to crave potatoes, I needed potassium. When I craved ice, I needed iron. Yesterday I needed more protein for some reason, because I craved their sauteed mushrooms, of all things! LOL! I never in my life suspected I would ever crave vegetables! I counted part of an order as 1 veggie serving, and part as an optional snack. The nutrition info provided by Outback sure does help when figuring out if I can fit it into my day.

And, as an extra added bonus, I weighed myself this morning and am down another full pound! I only record my weight weekly, but I've been weighing daily for a while now because it is important for me to learn my body's regular fluctuations the closer I get to goal. Since losing all this weight and eating a healthy diet my weight does not fluctuate nearly as wildly as it did in the beginning, so I hope that I continue to see the same when I am in transition and then maintenance...

To everyone on the Onederland Express!.

Just trying to catch up on some posts today. Wow! With all the support and positive feedback on this thread, I think the Onederland Express could also be called the 'LOVE Train'... Raven, Anita, Alana, Nora and Geri, thank you all for the warm welcome. Before my first week on Medifast I did a lot of searching, learning and reading of threads before jumping in, and I have found your comments to always be supportive, wise and insightful. I am so glad to be here and thank you all..

Wishing everyone on board a great OP week, and lets keep chugging along together on the Onederland Express!.

Welcome all! Yep, this is the place to be where we are all supportive and very happy for each wt. reduction along the way. We respect and encourage all, no matter what your plan or struggles may be. I believe weight loss is individual and everyone needs to find what works best for them. I believe losing wt. is harder on the mind than on the body.

Sometimes it drives me crazy. So, having a supportive group of gals is a great blessing..

Welcome everyone! Great job on all losses this week! I am down to 219.0 today and really excited this life under the "20's" is sticking! Happy Melting and Clean eating everyone and remember to keep moving!.

Right now I just have to remain "strict" to get the job done. I tend to get so close to 199 and then blow it. So I will try letting the energy of daily weighing carry me and try to stay strict..

Thanks for your words! Happy Melting Monday everyone, keep moving, and keep up with the clean healthy eating and only good things can happen!.

Hello my melting friend! Nora, you are doing fabulous! So glad to see you back and melting/moving along! Yeah!.

I was wondering, what do you recommend for lower abs? My DH thinks if I alternate and use a bicycle every other day it will help with my lower stomach muscles rather than always using my treadmill. I know that I can keep moving on the treadmill and it is a good part of my routine. I enjoy moving along at 3.7/3.8 miles per hour right now and do my two miles in 32 minutes. If I change it up and use the bicycle, I am not sure that I will have the same sense of accomplishment that I do with the treadmill. I guess I am just not quite ready for the switch.....of course, I need to buy the bicycle first! LOL.

Anyway, your input is appreciated. Thanks!..

Thanks UK! Actually I think a great workout for lower abs and the core in general is the fitness ball. I found a DVD on Amazon I really like called "10 Minute Solution Fitnessball Workouts" it is divided into five 10 minute workouts and you can pick and choose or do all of them..

The bike is a great cardio workout also. I have noticed people who bike alot have great calves. I do not know about the abdomen per se with a bike. But you would be burning calories and this in turn would lead to fat loss so it would work just as the treadmill I would think. I lean more towards core exercises for the abdomen as my suggestion. That is why I think doing crunches on the ball is great as it does not hurt and one can feel it the next day..

The most important thing I have been told is to mix it up. Sounds like you have a great routine going on the treadmill. Now to mix it up you could do interval training for 30 minutes twice per week and your regular routine the other days you work out..

You would do things like walk at a comfortable pace and then bam run as fast as you can for say one minute and then walk at comfortable pace for say two minutes and then bam run again fast as you can for one minute and repeat for 30 minutes. It is not easy at first but it burns the calories. As far as the time frame you could do whatever your body will allow. Maybe running fast as you can for 30 seconds to start. Look up interval training and there should be some good ideas..

I do interval training on my elliptical. The elliptical has a program for it. It has me get my heart rate up to 145 as fast as possible and then ride at this rate for one minute. Then I have to get my rate down to 110 as fast as possible (the fun part) and ride for one minute then bam up again as fast as I can..

Of course disclaimer here.............listen to your body and talk to your doctor first. This is just my opinion and what I have done. I have been told interval training is a great calorie burner..

The cool thing about if you were to get a bike it would be mixing it up between the treadmill and bike which would be great also. If you can walk outside when it gets nice out I love nordic pole walking. Using nordic poles to briskly walk is a great workout. In 45 minutes one can really burn the calories and turn on some tunes and head phones and it hardly seems like exercise, plus one is outside..

So for the abs..............the least expensive way is to get a fitness ball. They are alot of fun and alot of different exercises can be done on them. Does take some practice and I am still learning. Great for posture and core strength..

Have fun!.

Reporting my daughter and my husbands progress:.

DD Becky (25) has completed her first week and has lost 9 pounds..

DH William has now lost 36 pounds since he started the end of November, putting his current weight at 200 pounds (he is 6 foot tall). His goal is 180 pounds. Since I weighed in at 205 pounds on Friday, he is still below me in weight and it looks like he will reach "Onederland" before I do unless something drastic happens fast...lol..

I have had a very rough weekend. Saturday was a bad day for me and my mom. Words were said...one thing led to another and before we both knew it, we were spilling out all kinds of things we had both bottled up inside and we ended up saying hurtful things to each other. She especially took everything personally, whereas I could rationalize that things she said she didn't really mean, but that she was just upset and hurting inside. So more damage was done on her side than mine, as I have grown a harder skin where she is concerned. After our outbursts she decided that she didn't want to live here with me anymore and would prefer living in a nursing home.

I packed up her essentials and we took her to her apartment 1 1/2 hours away. My brother stayed with her all day Sat. and Sat. night, and my sister planned to stay with her Sunday and that night. We then planned on taking her to the nursing home today to start the process there.

So my sister brought her back here to us yesterday. She is going to try to hold out a few more weeks to see if the provider she is waiting for so that she can go back home will come through soon...waiting for the paperwork to go through for that. This whole thing has taken a toll on me...I was an emotional wreck all weekend. My mom moved out on Saturday, but yesterday she moved back in. Deep down she "knows" that she can't live alone, the only alternative was for her to come back here.

But my mom really doesn't like living with me. She is going to try to do this for a few more weeks, hoping to still get the gov't. funding for a provider. That would mean she would still eventually go back to her apartment but have help 3 or 4 hours a day with this provider doing chores around the house for her that she can't do for herself. The only thing about that is that there will still be too many hours in the day when there will not be anyone there with her.

Lately she can't remember how to work the tv remote, or her cell phone or other things like that. And then she gets anxious and nervous so a vicious cycle begins. It is all so sad because her options are running out..

I love my mom dearly, but she is just sooo "unlovable". When we are face to face, I can just get sooo annoyed with her and some of the things she says...I guess that kind of wears me down and then I say things I regret. But when I am away from her, like at the end of my day in bed, I just feel so sad for her....she is so alone and doesn't have anyone who will just wrap their arms around her and comfort her and tell her everything is going to be OK. I wish I could be that one for her, but she just makes it hard for me to "love" her that way...it would feel forced. She pushes all the wrong buttons in me. Lots of years of Mom/Daughter dynamics getting in the way.

There is a lot on my mind right now..

But my husband, William has been great. When we got back home Saturday night, he helped me to unwind and take my mind off of things. We spent a great evening in our hot tub...very relaxing. I put on the Nora Jones CD that he had gotten me for Valentine's day and it helped set the tone for a very romantic evening. I am so blessed to have William in my life..

With all of this going on, I managed to make it to my DGS Ethan's 7th birthday party on Sat. And of course, pictures are attached..

After a somewhat tense start to our day yesterday, with both of us kind of tiptoing around each other and watching our words so as not to set each other off, the day ended quite well. Good morning Tuesday Melting ladies! Congrats to all the great losses once again! I hope everyone has a great day on plan and keeps moving..

I am moving further away from 220 as weighed in at 217.4 this morning. Never going back to 220's is starting to sink in mentally as I move further and further away from it. I have to cement this in my brain as much as or more than my body. Can you tell I am a yo-yoer? I get to a comfortable place and do what I like best...............eat yummy stuff without thinking, hey you are going to pack on the pounds..........Stop now!.

Changing my thinking this time around as I motor down the scale! Live Under 200!.

Thank you for your kind words and your prayers. Yes, the worst part for my mom is the realization that her life is no longer the way it was a year ago. That she can no longer live alone or will never drive again. I do feel badly for her. She is having a very hard time accepting her new reality. I am willing to help her as much as and for as long as I can.

I know she is just hurting inside. Yes, I should look for some kind of support and/or respit help. Thanks for the suggestion..

The results of my weigh in this morning are:.

-3 for the week.

-84 in 25 weeks.

That's an overall average of 3.36 pounds a week..

Another picture, taken yesterday. The first one was taken in October, 30 or so pounds down. It is good fo me to take these pictures, so that I don't become complacent, but instead face the reality that I have more work to do:.
