My 1st question is: Please answer anyone?! Medifast Diet. need help? Many thanks for any answer. Another quick question... Hi Everyone,.

Anyone starting this month? Please join us. I for one am still at the beginning of a long road. You will find nothing here but acceptance, support and friendship..

I'm 45, I have a 3 year old and nearly 100 pounds to lose..

For the existing flirts....

I didn't know what to do as there was no new thread. I know things have been quiet around here, but the thread will go on..

We have to have someplace for people to come home to, don't we?.

And OCTOBER is the perfect month to get things done. This is the time to set our commitment in stone and have a great journey through the holidays..

I know that I will not make the mistakes I made last year. I was doing great until mid-November and then I slippery sloped right through this summer. Bad idea!.

This time, I'm having a multi-layered plan that will allow me to stay OP and make my way to Onderland..

I miss you all and hope that you're having a fine weekend..

And Hinata, on your camping trip... thinking of you and hoping you're having a great time..

I'm in! Been started less than a full week, oficially weigh-in tomorrow, but so far i've lost 7.8lbs as of this morning! Yes, i'm a daily weigher, for now at least, helps me stay honest! It's actually not been THAT bad this week. I realized how much I "casually" eat, and am surrounded by food! at work, at home, with friends, etc. it's been quite an eye opener! I thought the water would be harder to do, but i'm finding it suprisingly easy... anytime i'm hungry, or would normally want a snack, I just open the H2O bottle, and start chugging, so far, it's working.

Here's to a new month! Ya, October!..

Good morning,.

Hi.

Teresa.

....it has been a year for us. My weight has gone haywire over the last little while. Yesterday was my one year Medifast anniversary. I am determined to take off the weight I have gained, and get back the healthier me of six months ago! October was a great month for taking off the weight last year. I am determined to see it through this time. I am glad you are there with me!.

Hi.

Hinata.

How did it go? Are you okay? Sometimes the anticipation is more than the actual date....Know we are here for you..

Kim?.

Are things alright in Japan? I hope you are faring well. Did you find another job? How is it coming with the loss? Are you in the dress yet? I know you can do it!.

Hi.

Sony.

..

I have been busy but hope to do better with keeping up now. I miss you when you are gone as well..

Yeah!! The Flirts Live!!.

I was getting a bit worried there..

Blu23girl- I'm so happy you're here! Your energy and enthusiasm are contagious. Congratulations on a great start..

UK- I'm with you, my friend. We can definitely turn this around. It's so awful to know that last year at this time I actually weighed less than I do now. Arrrrrgggghhhhh....

But, I'm optimistic. And determined. And you must find that place you had last year and dig in. Cross that border back into Onederland and never look back. You absolutely can do it. Get back on your exercise maching and watch your favorite shows.

I feel October is pivotal. It's a great, perfect month to make ground, dig in and set these good habits in stone so that the whole holiday season can be a success..

I get my elliptical machine Thursday and I can't wait. I have to start by working out..

Sony, thanks for the support as always! Glad you're back and I hope all is well in your world..

Kim, how are you?.

Hinata, you know I'm thinking of you and wishing you the best..

Nora, oh, you know. Just keep coming back..

Okay, off to start the day...

Hello everybody, I am waiting for my shipment to arrive from Medifast. It will be here on Friday, so I am looking for a place to be a cheerleader, find other cheerleaders.

And some hints and advice to avoiding pitfalls as I start my new beginning..

I am a crazy-busy 32 year old mom with two children and a full time teaching position. I am so very excited about this new start but worried about fitting my diet into my families meal times (which is when we actually do have our quality time, so it makes it difficult to think that I will not be partaking of all the love, so to speak)...

Hi Angalina and Welcome!!.

I'm glad you're joining us. We're nothing but suppportive here and we can always use another cheerleader too!.

Exciting to start fresh. I wish you all the best as you begin..

Jump all the way in and enjoy the results!.

There are lots of ideas around her about how to make meals that you can eat (mostly) with your family. You just eat protein and veggies and make the carbs for them..

And remember that the love is in the people, not the food. Except, of course, for all the love you put into feeding your family....

Everyone else... hello!.

I got my elliptical delivered today and get it put together tomorrow..

Whew!.

I'm not getting on the scale for at least a week (of being OP and exercising)..

Blah!!.

More tomorrow..

Hugs to all,.

Welcome.

Angalina.

, glad to add one more cheerleader to our group! I had the exact same problem initially on MF, you know, it has always been sort of a RULE to eat atleast one meal of the day (of course dinner) together as a family, and I always had this crazy feeling that I would be feeling left out/not part of the family, but as Teresa said, I make the usual protein, veggies & just add carbs for the fam whether it's pasta/rice/noodles et., and it really really worked out the best ever since then! Moreover you will play as a role model for the rest of the family to eat healthy! We'll be glad to hear more about you eventually......

Teresa,.

YAY on the elliptical! Its been like forever isn't it? So how did you like it? Wish you all the luck, i'm sooo rooting for your one week of OPness, lets make it work shall we?.

Hinata.

, i'm sooo hoping to see your post first thing in the morning:-), same goes to you.

Good evening Flirts!.

Many apologies for being unable to post this past week - thanks for making a new thread. I was wrapped up in my week long "first date" and didn't even really get online at all. I am dead tired, but over the moon with joy. And I have to confess, I think I am in love. He is an amazing man - so smart and kind, funny and wonderful. I will be going to visit him in a few weeks.

As for the diet and exercise, I did my best. I am sure that there is probably some gain, but it is all good. We managed a 14 mile almost vertical hike up a mountain our first day of camping. It was magnificent - we made it to a series of waterfalls and backwoods in the Redwood Forest. 8 months ago I couldn't have done that. Hooray for getting healthy and strong! I'll have to post pics later.

And thank you all for sending me your best wishes and thoughts - I believe they helped me immensely. I need sleep now, but will write more later!.

Let's see...what have I been doing? Working, working out, and working. I'm in a weight loss stall officially. I've stayed at 210 for the past 3weeks now. Discouraging,so I am going to start trying to choose the lower carb veggies this week, and see if that makes any difference..

I know that it is not good practice to think about dates in terms of weight loss, but if I lose 2 ponds a week starting this week, then I might just be near135 when I am going to be then matron of honor in my best friends wedding in June 2011....

Think happy thoughts flirts and we will fly!!..

Hey gals. Well I did five and one yesterday and no formal exercise. Goes against every grain in my body. I guess I never actually do five and one by the book as I do not weigh greens and guess at leans. I also eat almonds or mixed nuts. But I did go from 211.2 to 210.4 from yesterday.

I put on a pair of size 14 jeans and realized the legs are getting much more roomy. I thought it is that running on the rebounder, do not deprive myself of that running on the rebounder! So today I am back to my 30 minute run on the rebounder. If I need more protein, so be it! Yea, food intake is king to get the pounds off, but exercise is a key factor for me..

So off to workout and eat clean healthy fuelings every two hours today!.

Happy Melting!.

Good morning Flirts!.

Wow, I was sure exhausted last night when I posted - only had time to stop by and say hello then had to hit the bed. No matter how much we may want to bottle a moment in time, to make everything stand still and hold onto a feeling or an experience, life finds a way of pressing on. Today being Thursday means it was gym day! I met my gym friend/trainer this morning at 6 am sharp and he evaluated my fitness as usual. I have some challenges with my form in core exercises, so I am reworking these moves to get them right. Overall, however, my strength is continuing to grow which never ceases to amaze me. And hey, not so bad on the weight gain from the holiday - only up 2 pounds but I bet that is water retention.

Now, my next goal is to continue working on my balance and core - Hawaii is coming up in 6 weeks and I have a date with a surfboard..

As for my week-long extended first date, what can I say - it was amazing. We went camping in the Redwood Forest which was gorgeous! I love that he enjoys the outdoors, and things like hiking and camping. I hadn't been camping in years and it was awesome! We had a beautiful camping spot and in the morning, deer would wander by grazing..

We also did a strenuous hike up a mountain - about 14 miles up and down and almost vertical in some spots. It was tough and took us 5.5 hours to complete, but so worth it! We saw some gorgeous waterfalls and scenery. I remember standing on top of that mountain and looking down across the valley and thinking "I am so glad I can do this and can be here with him to see this." 8 months ago, I could not have done that. It is moments like this, embracing life and being strong, that keep me going on my path to good health. Besides, I think engaging in such an activity really bonds people in ways a movie or coffee date cannot - you are tired and sore and sweaty, but there is a sense of accomplishing something together. We took on that mountain together and we succeeded as a team.

I miss him already, but I know we will meet again soon. Besides, he has school to finish and I completely support him in this endeavor. We can be bi-coastal for a while. At the end of the day, he has my heart and I know he will keep it safe. Besides, nothing can ever take away our time on the mountain, or the memories of our trip. We also went to various museums and exhibits, just saw so many wondrous things..

Anyway, I hope you have all had a fantastic week and been OYP! Today I am at work then tomorrow I leave for NY to go to a convention. Busy busy busy! I will slow down after that.

Teresa.

: Thanks for your kind words and best wishes! *hugs* And for starting a new thread. I would hate to lose this group, so glad to see we are still going strong. And you sound like you are on a great path - well done! Glad you are discovering what works for you, and finding ways to get healthy. October is a great time to get things done! I am going strictly hardcore on being 100% on my plan - Hawaii and surfing lessons are coming up soon so I am giving it my all as far as exercise and eating are concerned. Surfing will be the first of my original fitness goals I wanted to meet. I plan to tackle the waves and meet that challenge..

Nora44.

: Nice to see you here - welcome! Progress and not perfection is a great motto! I still think the smaller pants to measure success is what most motivates me to stay on my path - that and achieving new fitness levels and being more capable. Everytime I conquer an activity, or improve my strength, I feel awesome! Keep up the great work ^^.

Blu23girl.

: Nice to meet you and many congrats on 7.8 pound loss - that is amazing! Keep going - you are doing great!.

Sony.

: Hello my friend! Thanks so much for your kind posts and good wishes! My date was awesome - couldn't have gone better. Glad to hear you are doing well.

UKB:.

Nice to hear from you my friend! I am sure your video was fantastic. Youare, after all, teacher of the year!.

I am doing just fine - a bit sore and tired, but great! I get one day rest and catch up at work then I am off to NY for a convention. I am a busy but happy girl!.

Angalina.

: Nice to meet you - welcome to the group! Sounds like you are off to a fantastic start - keep up the great work. If you need cheerleaders, you have come to the right thread! We may be quiet at times, but the support in the Flirts is amazing. Just let us know how we can support you in your efforts to get healthy. There is no judgment here, only acceptance and compassion. I am sure you will love it.

Kiyomi San.

: So glad to hear from you! Japan is getting ever closer for me - soon we will have to do that snorkling trip! And go up Mt. Fuji. You can totally do this - don't let a stall derail you mentally. You are probably losing inches. Step back from the scale and use other measurements as your guidepost of success. How are your clothes fitting? How do you feel? These are by far the more important measurements.

So does he has the same kind of feelings for you?I just jope that this relationship goes much much farther since you truly feel that he is a perfect man! Good morning,.

Flirts.

,.

I am looking forward to a three-day weekend, how about you? My DH and I will NOT be traveling this weekend as we have another Germany weekend already planned and of course the trip to Washington, DC in November. That one promises to be quite expensive so we are pinching the pennies a bit..

A good friend of mine noted that I have been distracted of latehere's to getting back on track with my focus where it should be!.

Angalina.

, what do you teach? I teach world geography and creative writing to US military kids in England. These kids are a joy to me in so many ways. Most are 12-13 as I teach 7th and 8th gradestill young enough to think I am smart, but old enough to ask some challenging questions!.

Hinata.

, how amazing you are! Vertical climbs up mountains? LOL I am a bit beyond that at my agebut proud to call you friend. You have opened up quite a world for yourself with the active lifestyle and participating in all of these great events. Be safe in your journeys, and know you are in my thoughts and prayers..

Chuck.

Is a great show. I get to see that on the Armed Forces Networkwhich I cannot see from my treadmill. LOL No, the seasons I have purchased are more like.

Eureka, Star Gate, Star Trek Enterprise, CSI: Miami.

That kind of thing. I have lost the remote to the DVD player and cannot get past the first episode on each disk! It is very frustrating. I think tomorrow when I am doing a massive clean in my house, I will change around a few things in hopes of solving that problem..

Teresa.

, when you are on the elliptical, do you watch something or just listen to music/for your little princess? I remember at one time we shared a similar fascination with TV shows....mine of course being delayed about six months! LOL.

Kat.

, please don't be discouraged. I know exactly how you feel as I bounce back and forth over that 200 mark. sigh. Three weeks is really not that long for a stall. Like.

Hinata.

Said, take your measurements because sometimes that is where it shows, not the scale. There were times over this last year when I would lose two or three inches and GAIN pounds! Go figure!.

Sony.

, you are one of our best cheerleaders! So glad to see you around-and I will try and get better about my early morning posts for you. LOL Today just seemed to be the day to do that. Things seem to be falling in place at school, and life seems to have settled down a bit this AM. Waking up at four helped!.

Hello Flirts!.

Checking in before I go and get beautiful for work tonight..

So, I made a vanilla shake, and took 2 sips...then decided to skip it. I don't like many of the shakes anymore, they are hard for me to drink. I had my lean and green instead for breakfast, and now I'm sipping on a peach iced tea...not as good as the other ones, but it's not a shake!.

Let me tell you all about today. I went to BK with intention of ordering myself a burger, and when they asked for my order at the drive-through, what came out of my mouth was what I really needed "Garden Salad with extra chicken, no dressing, no croutons". I surprised myself. I went there to cheat, I got home and really enjoyed the salad...I'm in an awe moment of myself. It feels good to not give up on myself, and that salad was delicious with my own dressing I have at home..

Last night, same thing kind of happened. I wanted some cereal, it was late, and it sounded good. Instead I peeked at my OP food, and I saw the smores bar...grabbed it...and it was sooooo good! And, OP..

For today, it's going to be a long day at work. Got up at 9, and I don't get to rest until at least 4 am tonight. When I do get up, if it's not raining, I just might try to go snorkeling for my exercise of the day..

Hinata: I'm ready to join you on Mt. Fuji next summer...I am getting stronger every day, and I have noticed that my calves are starting to slim-up! Now for the rest of me to catch up. We have to start making plans for this, I want to see where the gods reside and speak to them from the top!.

UK: Thanks for always including me in your posts, when I read my name it's like...uh oh, I had better get in there and chat up! You always put something encouraging..

Blu23: Welcome to the Flirts, these are some awesome ladies here, and definitely give you a place to vent about everything (good or bad), and accountability!.

Sony: You are a great cheerleader! Just like UK said!.

Teresa: I'm falling in love with the elliptical, and it's helping my jogging a bit when I decide to beat up my feet a bit. My favorite program is the interval-training one, I do that for about 15 minutes then move to more machines. I think tomorrow, I'm going for a full 30 minutes!..

I'm not feeling like myself today, I have a sorethroat and runny nose, some kindds viral going on in here!.

, glad to see your post! Looks like you have a busy schedule ahead of you. Its not a long weekend for DH & my kiddos so not much going on here. How are you doing with MF? Did those chocolate cravings get any better? I was soo furiously wanting a dumdum pop yesterday (very unusual cuz I hated them preMF...) and instead I came over to these boards and let it out and got lot of support from my friends to resist it and I did! So glad I have these boards they really help in such situations.

Kat.

, you did awesome!!! I'm sooo proud of you! You really feel like you have achieved something when you make such good & healthy choices and i'm glad you did just that.....now you keep up that great work and as you said keep aiming for atleast 2 pounds /week and u'll be at goal in summer 2011.

Hi Flirts,.

I finally worked out today!!! My new elliptical is amazing. But, the beast wouldn't let go of me today. I didn't know how to work it yet, so the easy start 20 minutes I was planning turned into a 45 minute interval training that the machine controlled. It was GREAT!! I never work out that hard and I know that's what I need to do..

I want to say individual hello's to all of you, but it'll have to wait. The weekend is always iffy, but I'll check in at least..

Good afternoon,.

Flirts.

,.

I am still OP today, and it is now four in the afternoon. I have managed three Medifast meals. I know I am hungry, but I am determined to get through this day without binging on something I should not. I am almost afraid to try to eat my LG. My water intake is about 3 liters thus far. I want to try and get in a little more water prior to eating againthough I am nursing a cinnamon apple tea right now due to being a bit chilly..

It seems like all I can think about is food today. We went to the BX to try and find a small gift for our DGS (Halloween early so to speak), and there was candy everywhere! I managed to avoid it by concentrating on the clothes for him, but DH got so hungry he abandoned me for about thirty minutes to go and indulge in a whopper, fries, and apple pie. sigh. I managed an Medifast choco crunch bar and a decaf coffee about thirty minutes laterstaying on schedule. We left, but as we checked out, DH purchased a big bag of peanuts to snack on..

NOT a big help..

I am thinking about a chicken salad tonight. I think it may be the easiest way to stay OPbut there I am again thinking about food! LOL What are the rest of you doing this weekend? I am trying to hang out around here in hopes it will help me stay on plan..

My house did not manage to clean itself today. I did get a major repair job done on some furniture. I still need to figure out a way to get the rolltop desk from the garage to the den where it belongs. The mover did not want to give me a hand with that thus it ended in the garage. I think I may do better tomorrow. Mornings are still where I have all of my energy.

45 minutes is a good workout,.

Teresa.

I am happy for you. Is the interval training something you are planning to make a part of your daily routine, at least for a while? I am still not a fan of that particular machinebut defnitely a fan of YOURS. LOL.

How is New York,.

Hinata.

? You are at a conference, right? Somehow, I have this image of you scaling the Empire State Building..

I know you are keeping wicked busy. Do you find all of the travel envigorating? I hope so..

I had the tomato soup as soup today..

Sony.

, I have read several times about eating the cream soups as bread. Somehow when I have tried it, it never works out. I am down to one box of chicken noodle, two boxes of veg beef, and two packets of COB soup. I almost don't want to order anymore soup for a while. Maybe I need to miss it?.

I don't know, Flirts. This could be a tough weekend for me. I have just under a month to take off some of the weight I gained over the summer before going to DC for my award presentation. Clothes I bought in anticipation of this trip no longer fits. I have to focus and get this back off soon. Help, my friends.

Just one meal, one bottle of water, one day at a time...

Thanks for the words of welcome. My package arrived late yesterday afternoon. I wanted to go through it and make sure I was ready to start so there were NO EXCUSES for Sunday. The crazy thing is, I am so exicited to start (whoda thunk I could be this excited about a diet?!). But really, it's not a diet, it's a life change. That idea has really sunk in, and I am excited..

It is great to see these "glimpses" into your lives. Hinatawow! your date sounds amazing and makes me a touch envious, nine years and counting for my husband and I, and we tend to forget to nurture each other in the mad rush through the day. I really liked the realization that you couldn't have done the hike 8 months ago. Isn't amazing how quickly your life can change? Way to go on making that change!.

Sony-thanks for the advice about family dinners. I sat down this morning and planned out my lean and greens for the next two weeks and lined them up with what I was planning for family dinners. Suffice it to say...family dinners can be made healthier. So yes, I will be setting a better example for my children (and providing them with healthier foods)..

So...anything I should know about the first few days? My sister in law (She did Medifast over 6 yrs ago and took 125 pds off and HAS KEPT THEM OFF, so she is kinda my inspiration.) told me to hang in there for day 3 and 4 because it WILL GET BETTER. She also warnedDRINK H20. Curious what others have to say. Any tips?.

Hope all is going well in your part of the universe..

Hello Ladies!.

I have a long week ahead of me, I'm working more hours than anyone else in my area this week...and I'm not even a "regular" I'm just a "part-time" (who they refuse to give regular status...so no benefits for me). I am also starting to understand why my work has a LARGE turn-over rate, largest of all the similar facilities here on the island, that can't be a coincidence..

Anyway, I'm plugging away again today. I did good yesterday, until it was late, I was bored, and generally angry at the world..

Still working on not using food as an instant gratification, because while I may get some pleasure from food, it does not "fix" the bad day I've had or will "take care" of the things that need to get done.

I'm so glad it's monday, I'm re-booting the laundry, and getting the house ready for my long work week..

I'm drinking my water, I've got 2 meals and my L&G meal in so far...next one in two hours which I have an alarm set for at home because I might forget..

Well, husband is coming home soon from his scuba diving trip, I'm sure he'll be passed out on the couch while I fold laundry..

Oh, and sorry to be a downer today, I don't mean to...just a small rant about things...I'll get more peppy as the week goes on!..

The more water I drink, the better I do. It also helps me to drink a liter of water before I eat so I am not tempted to overeat..

Like.

Kat.

, I find I return to food when I am upset or worried or stressed....sadly, I have not overcome this yet. I did really well for eight months or so, then started sliding down the slippery slope. I have not yet fully recuperated but am working on it..

I have already had 21 cups of water today. I have one Medifast meal to go. I am planning on cinnamon pretzels (my fave!) I believe your day one has come and gone,.

Angalina.

How did it go? I hope it went well..

Flirts.

, I have had a long weekend and accomplished very little. little smile here. Rested up, have ironing to do and other things.....but wanted to check in and see how you were doing..

Ciao for now!..

Good afternoon Flirts!.

Just got back from NYC a couple of hours ago. I am just dead tired after this past week and a half of running around the woods, hiking, and jetting off across the country. NYC is fabulous - talk about large and busy! All day and night there is something going on. Sadly, I came down with a head cold which started to surface yesterday and it really put a damper on my ability to see everything I wanted to see. Oh well, you can bet I'll be back soon enough and I'll go to all the great museums and attractions!.

I admit, I miss my friend being here - the house feels so empty without him. I know he'll be back, still, it was nice having someone to wake up to and to have breakfast with. I hope we can find a way to be more present in each others' lives. We'll have to work at it, but anything worth doing is worth working at right?.

I also admit I will be glad to get back to a normal routine for a few weeks. My diet has suffered from being so random and unscheduled, but I am back on track as of right now. I did the best I could though given the circumstances, so I am happy I was able to at least make the best choices available. Hawaii is coming in 6 short weeks, so I need to maximize my weight loss for that trip. Want to have more balance for the surfboard!.

Hope you are all well - take care of yourselves.

I just started today. So far, it's going well. I really hope that I can keep this up. I'm very motivated to lose weight and I hope that I can be as successful as many of you. I have a little over 100 pounds to lose, so it's going to be a long road..

Good Morning Flirts!.

I am up early today - I slept most of yesterday as I was just exhausted. I think my body finally had enough and just decided to rest. All the recent activity plus fighting a head cold and no wonder I needed to rest. I'm glad to have life be a bit normal again, and to be able to slip into my routine again. All this traveling, vacationing and whatnot has been havoc on the eating plan. Though I didn't do badly all things considered, I had a few slips off my plan.

Overall, I am up 4 pounds from this whole whirlwind vacation/business trip experience, and I can live with that. No worries, I'll get that off in no time. Starting today, I am going back on a strict 5&1 this week to reset my internal eating routine and get my body readjusted to the plan. I have 6 weeks until Hawaii and surfing lessons so I am going to maximize this time and really knuckle down and focus on the weight/inches loss..

Kiyomi San:.

Congrats on making great food choices - so glad that you are learning to eat well regardless of what challenges you are facing! This is one of the biggest NSV's I think you can have, and one which will keep you on the path to good health. Also glad that you are seeing results from the workouts - hooray for slimmer calves! Again, this is another of the major NSV's and one that really keeps me motivated to press on. Well done! And indeed, we need to start booking our trip up that mountain. I am thinking next August works for me - that is enough time to save up plenty of money and vacation days to make the trek. Let me know what you think!.

Sony:.

Hey hey! Hope you are doing well, and everything is good in your world! I am back on a good path after this past week and a half, and I so want to join you in the 160's as soon as I possibly can! I am going hard this next 6 weeks before Hawaii and hope to be able to see the 160's by then. We shall see though as I have always been a slow loser - I'll try my level best to make it there, and really, that is all I can do! Take care of yourself my friend - you can so do this!.

Teresa:.

So glad your new elliptacal arrived - you must be thrilled! Congrats on the 45 minute interval training - you are off to an excellent start! Go you go! ^^.

UKB:.

Nicely done staying on your path despite being faced with your DH eating Burger King and peanuts. That must have been challenging, but you did amazing! Keep on your plan - you are doing amazing! And you will be lovely in your DC pictures no matter what size you are. You are.

Teacher of the Year.

- no size can take that away from you. Celebrate! And yes, I find the travel and vacation invigorating, but now it is time to focus on routine again. I am off to Hawaii soon, and there is a surfboard with my name on it. Want to lose a bit more and keep exercising so I have better balance. As for the Empire State building, if I could scale it I would! One day I'll see if I can do that - not sure if it is allowed but if it is, you know I'll be there! Wheee!.

Angalina:.

Thanks for the nice words! Your sister-in-law is right - it does get better after day 3-4 and water is important to weight loss. Also, I would suggest focusing on NSV's rather than scale numbers. I have found on this process that the NSV's (non scale victories" have become the most important successes for keeping me on a good path, and reminding me that I *can* lose this weight and reclaim my health. Things like hiking up a mountain or rafting down a river, being able to say no to food and not feel badly, doing squats and lifting weights, fitting into smaller sizes - these are far more meaningful than any scale number and motivate me to continue onward. I know now that no slip, no "bad day", no anything can derail me from my path. If I stumble, I get up, dust off, and press onward again.

Blgsd:.

Welcome! You can totally keep this up - and succeed! Try not to focus on the total weight you need to lose, but mentally break it down into smaller sections. When considering my weight loss, I developed early on what I call the "Goal of the 9" - always aim for the next weight down ending in "9" as a goal. 209, 199, 189, 179, etc. - focusing on the next 9 helps me stay motivated to press on, and when I am there, I feel elated because I am in the next 10 lb weight loss range. I then set my sights on the next 9 downward. This makes the amount to lose seem so much more manageable and less overwhelming.

Learning to master my body and accomplish physical challenges has become the beacon that keeps me going - I want to be able to move, run, climb, and be fit. The scale is just one number to monitor success by - don't let it take over your entire way of thinking. Take measurements as you may often lose inches but not pounds. I now measure my success by the "smaller pants" method of determining weight loss - I buy a pair of pants 1 size smaller than I can fit into and try each week to get into them. Once they button up and zip snugly but well, I weigh myself..

Anyway, that is all for now! So glad to be back here - looking forward to hearing how you are all doing. Time to get wicked focused again!.

Hinata.

Good morning!.

I am on day 3 and feeling pretty good. I have really bad head cold and sore throat, so I have been living with an odd schedule making it difficult to keep with a set plan for meals. However, I have gotten in 4 medifast meals each day. I find it difficult to eat after 7 at night, which is when we eat dinner. Plus, I have been going to bed early due to cold, so not even up late enough to eat that last meal. Day 1 dinner was difficult; family had homemade beef barley soup, and while I was cooling down my little guys bowl, I took a tester bite out of habit.

I did end up with about 1/4 cup of soup. on Day 2...laying in bed sick makes it easy to think about food. I held in there until dinner and had my chicken breast and salad. But cheetos were calling my name. I ate four.

Looking on the bright side, I did not eat the whole bag of cheetos, which is what I would have done 3 days ago! I also know that NSV's will be more important than the scale (eventually). Right now, I need to know it is working. (which it is...down three pounds in two days if that is not insane!).

UKB-Congrats on teacher of the year! Is that national? To answer your question in an earlier post, I teach HS English. Yes, nuts! But I actually like helping students when they question everything, even their teacher. I recently changed jobs due to husbands work and moving back to home town. Actually, I am teaching back at my first teaching assignment which is at a Hutterite colony in Washington state. I love it. It is similar to a one room, in our case, two room school house.

Thanks for the advice about water. I was shocked to find out how much water I am supposed to drink per day. It is NOT 64 oz but 113 oz or so. INSANE!.

Have a great day everybody...Angalina..

Good morning Flirts!.

Well, I slept in today - oops! Guess my body is still recovering from this whirlwind week and a half. No worries, I'll hit the gym after work today and start my morning routine again tomorrow. Yesterday was a good day - 100% on my plan and back into the swing of things. I am still catching up on work from my vacation, but my goal is to have it all triaged and done by the end of this week. If not, I'll work on Saturday too - just want to have a clean slate so it doesn't keep piling up..

How is everyone doing these days? I know October can be a tough season for some - less sunlight and heading into winter can mean spirits are down. Keep pressing on with your plans and getting exercise - that is one sure way to keep the winter blahs away!.

I am so excited to think that I will be at goal soon enough - it still amazes me what I have accomplished this past year. Turning 40 was perhaps the best thing that ever happened to me - I got my life back, and while I am still young enough to enjoy it! Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!.

Oh, I have a new picture - this is me on my recent vacation/date. This is me by one of the waterfalls we hiked to. This was a great day.

And I feel you on the head cold thing - I am battling some pesky bug I picked up in NYC. Seems to be waning, but I am still feeling tired. Hopefully we will both be better soon! Good job not eating the whole bag of Cheetos too - well done! Keep focusing on NSV's like this and using them to mark your progress. They are invaluable reminders of how successful you are doing.

Hello flirts, sorry for MIA last couple days, i'm just getting severe aches & stomach cramps so had to make a Doc appointment yesterday just to see if I have developed any new cysts (if you all remember I had my cysys removed back in April) luckily I didn't so thats good news. But i'm a week late on Tom and my Doc is saying that it sure has something to do with the diet that i'm currently on.....anyways she didn't find anything else yesterday so just have to wait here whenever that Tom thing arrives, my belly is lil bulged with water retention and i'm getting bad cramps.....to top it off i'm holding steady on the scale with a gain of 2 pounds!!!.

Good Morning!.

And boy is it fantastic...I am feeling pretty darn good. I don't know if thats because I feel better from my cold (still coughing) or the diet. But I feel great. Lost 6.2 pds so far. I know that I need to look towards NSV and I am working on them (like my rewards and having daily goals). Todays daily goal is drinking all my water.

So today is about getting ALL of my 120 oz down..

Sony.

...so sorry to hear about your cysts and HAPPY to hear that you are cyst free. Hopefully your are feeling better..

Hinata.

...thanks for the ideas about doubling up the meals; I think it is a great idea for me..

Welcome.

Newbies.

(though I am not such an oldie); it's great to see new people coming at the same time I have started. I am in my first week and I love the results both in weight loss and energy gained!.

One thing I am trying to figure out right now is what are good goals to have? How far out do I need to disperse the goals? Plus, I need to think of some victories every day or at least one thing to do each day and find success in that item. THe more successful I feel, the more I will stick to it. I promiesed myself I would not be scale obsessed, but it is hard. RIght now those pounds are the biggest motivator. I just need to find something to replace them when the weight loss.

Slows down, since I know it is bound to happen..

One thing I am working towards is a Triathalon in August. I went to it this past year to cheer on my sister in law and was moved to tears. It was amazing to see her accomplish her goal and I wanted to be just like her. I knew that having something big like that to work towards would help keep me motivated. But the trick now is to find the little steps to work on.

So how did you each decide your goals? What should I keep in mind when determining them?..

Hi Everyone,.

I'm so happy to see new people here too!.

Welcome to All!!.

I've had a weird few days.... got horrible tooth ache and just medicated myself with Advil until I could get to the dentist (yesterday)... Root Canal..

At least I have a great dentist. So, so expensive, but pretty painless..

I'm actually so wrung out from the daily joy of motherhood that the hour in the dentist chair was almost relaxing. I know I don't get to close my eyes when I'm home.....

It's really wonderful to hear about all the people just starting. I need that enthusiasm to get me on track. So, thanks for sharing everyone..

I'm preparing to do a Candida cleanse. I can't get off of sugar and I'm just too toxic. I have to do that first before I even try using my Medifast products again. Or I fear I will waste them on 1/2 days....

I know I need to think this through because I'll be tired and need to allow myself to detox. I just have to make sure there's enough prepared for my family so I don't have to be constantly in the kitchen..

I LOVE my elliptical. It makes a HUGE difference to do the programs and interval trainning. I see now how much I slacked off before. It really pushes me..

I adore you all and appreciate this group so much..

Please forgive my lack of personal messages. I will try to catch up..

Hugs,.

Hi Again Flirts....

I can't remember who, but it seemed like we had a lot of social workers around here for a while. Is anyone still around and can anyone give me advice about something....

I have a friend who's living in Colorado now who is literally starving. She just has no money and so can't really eat. Her hair is falling out and she's pretty much suffering from malnutrition..

Isn't that insane?.

I'm so worried and don't know what to do..

She's a smart woman, an amazing healer (doctor of Chinese Medicine) and just can't get money coming in. I wouldn't have even known if I hadn't randomly decided to call her and stll had to drag it out of her..

I'd appreciate any ideas anyone may have. I'm online researching....

I wish I had a guesthouse or even more room....

Okay, I know that's way off topic. Anyone can contact me by PM if you don't want to post here..

Thanks for letting me share..

I really thought twice about how lucky I was to have food today..

Xo to all,.

Good morning Flirts!.

Just stopping in before the gym to say hello! Hope you all are having a fabtastic week and staying on your plans! As was said before, October is a great month to get organized and on track. And for most people, the weather is nice enough to be able to get out and about and nothing beats walking in falling leaves or pumpkin fields for exercise. You get the beauty of nature and fitness all at once - and for free. Hard to beat that deal!.

Angalina.

: My whole plan I have been a fairly slow loser, so I have had to make myself find other victories to celebrate. Changing my mindset from one of "I have to lose weight" to "I have to get healthy and strong" has been the best thing ever. I no longer focus on weight per se, and in fact, very rarely weigh myself anymore. I don't even know what I weigh right now anymore, and I am cool with that. The scale number is only one tiny measurement of your success on this journey - focusing on NSV's is, for me, the most rewarding thing..

As for the goals, I am firmly in the "Dream big" camp. When I started MF, I had two goals - learn to surf and climb Mt. Fuji. Yeah, you heard me, climb Mt. Fuji! XD These were impossible goals, but important ones, and I have labored to stay on my plan to meet these goals. Having big goals allows me the long range perspective to consider my weight loss and health gain project in terms of "Maybe I cannot do this yet, but one day I will." Having huge goals makes me set the bar high for myself, and to reach for that bar.

As they say, go hard or go home!.

That said, I also have daily rewards I focus on which help me get through. These are usually gym related since physical activity has become important to me. Can I do more time on the elliptical today? Can I lift more weight? Can I do more reps of a particular exercise? - succeeding in these areas is very rewarding. Learn to focus on the small details of success too - did you stay on plan? Get all your water? Are clothes fitting better? Did you make a good food choice in a tough situation? Having success in these areas, I have found, makes all the difference to feeling accomplished and staying on plan..

Teresa:.

Ugh, root canals! Hope your feeling better now, but I know that could not have been pleasant. Glad you have a great dentist - a great dentist is such a wonderful thing! Also glad you have your new elliptical - sounds like an excellent machine. Keep up the good fitness work!.

As for your friend who is starving, my heart goes out to her. I would suggest Googling various food banks in CO to see what is available in her area. As well, there are probably shelters where she can get a hot meal. Finally, she should apply for food stamps so she can eat. I know it is not a very motivating thing to do any of this, but we do what we can when times are tough, and that is why these agencies are there - to help people like her. Also, not sure if she is religious, but a lot of faith organizations have their own food kitchens/food donation centers.

Hope she gets the resources she needs to thrive.

UKB, Kiyomi San, Sony:.

Just saying hello ladies - hope you are all well. Sony, I am worried about your tummy issues. Everything ok on that front?.

For checking out on me.

Yes i'm feeling much better now, though the prescription pain medication makes me too drowsy and sleepy, I had to have it yesterday afternoon and felt wierd all day, I don't want to do that since it's risky with kiddos alone. So i'm making it a point to only take it before bedtime.....

Teresa.

, thats truly heartbreaking to even think of someone starving! Yes we should definitely count on our blessings!!! I agree with Hinata maybe there are foodbanks/stamps out there so probably she should take help from one of those organizations. Good morning Flirts!.

Slept in a bit today - still recovering from my head cold and vacation. Wow, I think I really wore myself out! Oh well, it will all be good. My gym friend/trainer says we are mixing up the routine next week - we will be adding lunges. Ugh, why do I dread this? I will do it, but it seems a bit crazy, especially since I have no balance. I am the girl who can trip over her own feet! Oh well, bring on the lunges. It cannot be worse than the upcoming "one-legged squat" that is in my near future.

I am going to have to mentally brace myself for that challenge @__@.

Anyway, hope you are all well and managing to stay on your plans. I can't believe that we are already half way through October. Time is just whooshing by this year - I can hardly believe that I have been fully committed to diet since last January. Seems like 10 months have flown by, yet here I am and pressing on. I am proud that I have been so committed to this - my life has completely changed for the better. Just keep at it right?.

Sony:.

So glad to hear you are feeling better! Thanks for letting me know how you are faring since I was concerned. Rest and recover - you focus on getting you healthy!.

Teresa:.

How go the workouts? Well I hope! Keep up the great work with your movement and with your process of self-discovery. I firmly believe now that once we find the winning mindset that works for us, weight loss falls into place. Keep going.

UKB:.

How are you doing? Hope all is well in your world. When is your Teacher of the Year award ceremony? You must be so excited about that! ^^.

Kiyomi San:.

Hope everything is going well for you my friend! How is life in Japan? So lucky you can go snorkling for activity. Can't wait to get over there!.

Just shouting out a hello! How you holding up? Have you found any new goals and challenges to keep you motivated? Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you stay the course!.

That is all for now - have a great weekend!.

Hello flirts, sorry I was MIA, we went on a sudden trip to the mountains last friday night, it was all planeed up instantly with 3 other families and we stayed 2 nights or so, it was fun in those chilly mountains, hiking walking and all that fun stuff, though I hate to admit that I hate surprises, I hardly packed anythnig for my family in such a short notice, like half hr or so but anyway it was fun so I have forgiven my DH, lol....

Congratulations!!!!!.

Your struggle is paying off, seriously, you are almost in 160's, OMG can't believe it!!! Amidst all these rafting, camping, business trip, etc. lately, you still did try to mange to pull off a big chunk of pounds, I can't say how much I admire you, you are a real true inspiration to many of us!!!.

Thanks for the kind words Sony - I can always count on you to put a smile on my face. These days, I just go. I go like there is no tomorrow, I go like the wind is always at my back, I go like I know what I am doing even if I don't. I no longer say "I can't" but "I can't yet, but one day I will!". My life has totally changed, and although getting to goal is a scary concept, it will be so beautiful. And once I have crossed my own finish line, I will turn around and run back to run behind everyone else and cheer you all on...

Oh my gosh, Hinata, I can totally see you doing just that! (coming back to cheer everyone else on).

You are amazing and you're my idol. I want to do just what you've done... You kept finding the ways that worked best for your body, you didn't give up through all that time when the scale wouldn't move, and you added in serious exercise first chance you got and have continued to build strength..

That's how to do this right and how I know you'll maintain..

Sony, thanks for the shout out! I had another dental visit today and it actually was way worse for some reason. Not in the office, but after I got home... Ouch! Lots of advil..

I'm so glad you enjoyed your impromptu trip to the mountains. What a fun adventure for your kids! It sounds wonderful..

As of tomorrow, I have 2 weeks until my birthday. I don't care about the numbers, I just want 14 days of (on my plan) by then. that's my gift to myself..

Wish me luck... I'm kind of scared to even try... mental game at this point..

So... I keep exercising and aim high for nutrition..

Has anyone heard from UK? I'm worried about her.... that maybe she's feeling too discouraged..

UK, if you're there... xoxoxxoxoxo!.

Everyone else... Have a great night!.

I'm pooping out now..

I just began Oct. 18th. I haven't been too hungry, but the hardest part is the cravings after my lean and green (which I eat at 6pm). I could punch someone in the face for a cookie. But, instead I have been getting on the boards. I am planning on a brownie or soft serve at 8pm, so hopefully that will take the edge off.

Wish me luck.

Good morning Flirts!.

Just stopping by to say hello! Hope you are all doing well, and managing to stay on your plans! Remember, slow and steady wins this race! I wonder how this winter will feel for me without the extra weight - will I be colder? I am curious to find out! I still cannot believe that I have lost as much as I have - some days it doesn't seem real. My next goal is to lose 7 more pounds to be down 100 pounds. After that, to lose 4 more pounds which will put me in the healthy weight range for my height - that will be a huge success for me! Once those 11 pounds are gone, I will then have 13 pounds to goal so I am planning to go all out on my fitness and eating plan. It is time to wrap up the weight loss portion of this plan and move into continued toning and training. Once I am at goal, I can really focus on getting wicked cut and sleek!.

Sony:.

Wow, your impromptu vacation sounds awesome! So glad to hear you getting out and about and being active! Hiking and walking in nature - what fun! Glad you got that break. Thanks for the nice words by the way - I appreciate them! Indeed, it has been a whirlwind time for me, and some days were challenging. In NYC, my hotel was by a NY cheesecake bakery - boy it looked great! I didn't have any though. I loved looking at the beautiful desserts in the window - I can appreciate the aesthetics of some foods even if I cannot eat them. And going in and just breathing in that bakery smell was heaven. I have learned I don't actually need to taste the food to appreciate it..

Teresa:.

Thanks so much for the kind words - glad if I can set a good example. You hit the nail on the head when you say this is a mental game. You are right - in fact, it is almost 100% mental. I was reflecting on my weight loss and struggle to gain better health last night, and I realized that the most important thing I have learned through this whole process is that it is almost 100% mental, truly. There are a million diets out there, and a million ways to lose weight, but the common denominator to being successful on any of them is one's mindset. Now, some eating plans will work better for an individual based on his/her physical make up - some of us need less carbs, some need more carbs; some need more calories, some need more or less protein, etc.

What happened yesterday doesn't matter, and don't focus on the distant future other than for some lofty goals - everything you need to make this happen exists now, and it exists in you. Don't overthink it, just find your path and do it..

Jeanelld:.

Welcome to the Flirts! Congrats on starting a journey to better health - remember you can do this, and are worth it! As for the cravings, in time, these will go away. As you lose weight and fall into a routine of getting better health, the food cravings will become less frequent and, I have found, will be replaced by cravings for better health. Take it one day at a time - you can do this!.

UKB and Kiyomi San.

: Hope you ladies are well and having a good time on your plans! Love to hear from you both soon.

Hinata.

Hello Ladies!.

I have been as busy as I can be. I either work, work out, or sleep it seems. The little bit of a stall was a fluke, I went down again (ticker is up to date), but now haven't lost any again (2 weeks I think) I'm reviewing my practices again. I am getting more spinach at the store today, because I haven't had that in forever..

We have a new chef at work, and he is awesome. Now...I say that he is awesome as a person. Everyone thinks he is awesome because he bakes us something different every day. He brings amazing cookies and sandwiches to us, he even bakes the bread himself. Its been a struggle. I feel when everyone around me is eating the cookies or sandwiches, that must be missing out on something.

Food won't change my life unless it's the right food..

My husband is officially getting out of the military. I am officially going in (in my mind, no papers have been signed). I have to get down to at least 155, then I can start the process. I plan on going in around July/August 2011..

Hinata, I'll be leaving the island around June 2011. So if your plans change, or you save enough money before then, I can join you. I really want to climb and snorkel with you!!.

Thanks for the shout outs! I'm still around, just busy...ugh...

Good afternoon Flirts!.

Just stopping by to say hello. Hope you all have had a great OYP weekend, and got in a bit of rest and relaxation too..

Wow, Friday was rough for me - PMS in tandem with life challenges and feeling insecure on some levels really got me down. I couldn't hold it in anymore, and finally broke down and cried during my chiro appointment with my gym friend/trainer/chiropractor. Probably because I trust him so much, I just opened up. I couldn't stop the tears from coming and I just wept for about 30 minutes. He just gave me the biggest hugs ever and let me cry it out. Today I feel much better and back in emotional control - I think I needed to release some of my fears and frustrations.

I am going to have to work on being able to let go of things more easily before they build up critical mass in my head..

On a positive note though, I can fit into size 14 pants now! Yay! I don't remember the last time I fit into size 14 pants. Now, they don't fit well, and it'll take a few weeks to really be able to wear them fully, but they do button up and zip. I am so excited about this!.

Sony:.

Hope you have had a great weekend too! Did you manage to get some rest and relaxation in? I hope so! Take care of yourself - you are important!.

Kiyomi San.

: Wow, so thrilled to hear that your progress is contuing - awesome job! And congrats on making a decision to go into the military - you are a braver woman than I am. I'll see what I can do to catch you in Japan before you leave. Going up Fuji and snorkling would be so awesome.

Hi Flirts!.

Sony, you are so kind and thoughtful and your support is greatly appreciated!! I'm okay... still struggling with this darn tooth pain and all the medicine for it... but still optimistic about my birthday goals..

How are you? Glad you're getting through your TOM! What a relief, right?!.

Hinata, yeah for those size 14's! And with you, it's a firm and strong 14. That's the way to do it. It makes total sense to release like that during a good treatment. With all the changes you've gone through it would be strange if you didn't have some emotional re-balancing to do. Plus, you are also detoxing every emotion that was stored in that extra weight. Oh, it's deep to take on this challenge like you have.

It's brilliant. Not easy, but brilliant..

Hi Kat, I didn't realize you had such a specific goal (of going into the military) that goes along with your weight loss. That is an amazing and noble thing to consider..

I so agree and must repeat to myself constantly that, "it's only food". Thanks for the reminder!.

Thanks for the kind words and support! I think what is most affecting me is my recent date - he seems to have disappeared in large part these past few weeks. Now, there are a million reasons this could be happening, none of which have to do with me. That said, it has brought forth my old mental demons which are telling me that I am not good enough, not lovable enough, not pretty enough... and these are part of what I have been battling lately. I decided to just trust in loving him, and I gave him my heart to be safe with. But doing that was a frightening proposition for me - given my history, I simply don't usually let people in romantically.

I am trying to focus on the positive aspects of this - of telling myself that no matter what happens, at least I tried and was open to the possibility...

I love reading everything here that goes on while I am sleeping! Its what I look forward to, when the internet is working!.

You all are my rock..

I have 2 days off in a row!! It will be spent getting the house back in order, and going grocery shopping, I am needing some spinach and will be looking out for new proteins and greens if they are available. We don't get the best greens here all the time, so I'll go a couple of weeks on one veggie, then switch to another..

I'm thinking about trying out pilates tonight at the gym, then tomorrow morning I have an appointment with my trainer. I love having days off, I can concentrate on my meals more and cook for myself and my husband..

Hinata: Putting trust in someone with your heart is one of the most scary things about being a human! Don't worry about him being a little out of reach. Life happens, we all know that it does. You had an awesome camping date, and there will be more dates to come! Hi Flirts!.

Kat, I'm sitting here eating this new snack that you might be able to find easily... It's "seaweed" marketed as a sort of alternate "chip" snack. It's so good and no carbs, barely any calories. The company is "sea snax". I found it at whole foods here. I posted about it a bit on my regular blog....

It's yummy..

All that becuase you mentioned you couldn't always get the best greens there....

Enjoy your days off! and your Pilates. I LOVE Pilates..

Hinata, taking the risk and opening yourself to connection and putting your heart in another persons hands is the absolute bravest thing you can do. No matter what happens with this situation, you're so right in thinking that what you did was already the victory..

Knowing nothing about him or the details... I'll still speculate that he might be feeling a lot too and not knowing exactly how to process it..

When you were together, especially out in nature... I think the connection can go deeper more quickly and once you get back to "normal" life and the other person isn't there to ground that energy, it can spin you..

I'm holding good thoughts that you both come together in the way that is best for both of you and that you, Hinata, feel only love and joy at this connection..

More tomorrow, friends. I'm gearing up for the whole Medifast experience again..

I have to visualize the whole week and all the things that will come up and decide to eat the way that will ultimately get me whre I want to be..

Hugs to all,.

Stepheresa: Funny thing is, I used to eat those all the time back home in Texas! I loved 'em, and the looks I got when I told people it was sea weed.

I can find dried squid, krill, dolphin or whale...but the sea weed chips are covered in different flavors like curry, terriaki, soy...and they are alright, except for the sodium content, and some have MSG. When I go shopping, my friend Megumi translates things for me so now I know what to look for when I'm on my own..

Hello Flirts!.

After a long summer break I am back. It was a rocky summer but I met my own challenge to maintain my original loss during a trying time. For me that's an amazing thing. Something I have never been able to do in the past. All my efforts on changing the way I think about food and exercise have finally taken hold like a new seedling! Of course I know it will still take a lot of work to really take root permanently and grow into a strong and resilient new thought "tree". (I picture a willow next to a lake).

It's so good to be back! I've been trying to catch up with everyone, visiting blogs and boards... Hi.

Sony.

And.

Kat!.

I LOVE those seaweed snacks! I've become a sea veg head! YUM! I hope all goes well at the dentist and you are soon pain free!.

Good morning Flirts!.

Just stopping in to say hello before I head out to the gym. It is training day again, so that means I get to meet my gym friend/mentor. It is always good to start the day with a good friend who is so lovely and compassionate. I cannot believe that my trip to Hawaii is less than 4 weeks away - I am so looking forward to this! I am also looking into zip line tours! That has always seemed like so much fun, but I was never able to do that before due to weight. Now I want to sail over the lush tropical canopy and see the world from above - it will feel like flying!.

Sony:.

Just saying hello! Hope you are doing fabulous - TOM is such a colossal pain in the butt - sorry to hear you have cramping and bloat. This will pass soon, but take care of yourself in the interim..

Kiyomi San.

: Thanks for the kind words and support! Sometimes I need to be reminded of all the progress I have made, so thank you for that. And we did have an awesome date and I know he loves me - things will work out. I am going to trust my heart this time..

Teresa:.

Thank you as well for your kind words. As I say, I know he loves me - I am not going to doubt this. I am just going to focus on myself and my plan, and have faith the two worlds will merge into something fantastic. He has my heart, and I trust him not to break it. He has done nothing to indicate he has, so for once, I am going to assume it is still safe. I have my life to continue living as well, so I am back to focusing on me and getting healthy and strong.

And don't worry about the 5&1 - you can totally do this! One meal at a time my friend.

Kaitlin:.

My diet twin! So very glad to see you back and about - don't be such a stranger! So proud of you for maintaining your weight loss despite huge challenges and glad you are back to being actively on a plan that works for you. Keep going - you can totally do this!.

Have a great day everyone!.

Wow, it was a busy week! I have been sleeping since Friday night to catch up on rest. With all the emotional drama and extra workload, it's been a bit crazy-making. Hope you are all well.

Happy Halloween to you too - I love this holiday! Any holiday that allows candy and scaring people is OK with me XD But this year, I didn't get a trick - I got a treat instead. Hopped on the scale this morning -.

168. Holy moly - I am in the 160's!.

Sweeeeeeeeet! I predict if I can keep up this rate of loss I will be at goal in 10-12 weeks. How surreal and fabulous - what once seemed a far and distant dream has become my reality. Run with me to the finish line Flirts!.

Have a great day and fabulous Halloween evening!.

Hi Everyone!.

Hinata, thanks for holding down the fort!.

Kaitlin, I'm so glad you're back. And I'm back too! I do think the body bugg is incredibly motivating and really gets me burning extra calories at every moment of the day just because it keeps me conscious of it and it becomes a fun game. I realized that I can burn some good calories just doing dishes... and how easy it is to put a little extra umph into anythng and make it more active..

My problem is that I can't wear it all day. It really irritates my skin. But, I have extremely sensitive skin. Super sensitive. I get welts from carrying grocery bags. You may not have any issue with it.

I actually think mine is worse when I'm eating badly. I believe that Candida is making my skin more sensitive and hope that I'll be able to wear it again soon and have no problems..

That's a lot of information.... I would say, yes, get it! in a heartbeat. Just wanted to give you my one issue with it..

More soon and Happy Monday to all the Flirts!!!.

Thanks for the update on the "BodyBugg"... I too have very sensitive skin, have trouble with jewelry of all kinds causing a rash, although it seems to be less so now that I am older.
