Got a question, hope someone can answer... Quick Nutrisystem diets...Anyone know of one that works? Many thanks for any comment. Another question I got... I know I know you will say I am not in the right mind set to start a diet if I am eating stuff like a bacon double cheesburger at Wendy's. My food is on order and on the way to my home. I decided I am going to start on Monday as long as my food arrives.

I am getting in some food while I can that I want to eat. Having said that I truly am psyching myself about starting on Monday..

Anyone else starting on Monday?..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..

Wow, starting on Monday sounds like an excuse to me. Want to get serious, tomorrow is a new day and a new start. Think about it, excuses got you to the point you are now, I was so excited about my food coming, I wanted to start that day. Last minute binging, what is that going to do for you except set you back even further..

Time to start making the changes and if your serious, no reason you can't start on Thursday, no reason whatsoever...

He doesn't have his food yet. He could still start eating on plan, true. But he can't start the diet proper yet...

I know he does not have his food yet but I am not a fan of getting it all out of your system. Just think, wouldnt you like to be 4 pounds lighter today instead of adding them and having to lose them all over. Its not a matter of starting the plan, it's just a matter of not destroying yourself before you do start..

I still wish the best and my advise when starting is to go to the Recipe Club and foods board to get some recipes and ideas about some of the food items before eating. Til then enjoy but what goes on must come off...

When I quit smoking, I had a quit day scheduled for a week prior, but I didn't chain smoke a carton before hand..

You gotta address your underlying causes as to why you are a fata$$ as well as change your "diet". That's just sad...

+100.

For a lot of folks they only have a window of just a few weeks of really showing that pound a day rate, after that it slows down.

Significantly.

You're gonna wish you started sooner, you're gonna wish you hadn't ate that crap as a last hurrah and you're gonna wish you never posted something so retarded...

This is why we come to this place. A bunch of fat guys keeping each other honest about getting rid of the blubber. Get used to it. It will do you good..

That being said, did you eat the Baconater wearing the red Wendy wig?..

Go back and taste that burger after eating healthy for about 6 months..

It will taste like it's layed on the greasy floor, dirty mop bucket water.

And a mixture of a dog turd that the Whopper Flopper stepped in on his way.

To work in the morning on the day he served it to ya..

It took you 10 minutes to eat 1460 bad calories..

On Nutrisystem it will take about 12 hours to eat that amount of good calories in a full day..

Stick with it and you will see results...

Tommorow is my one month mark..... I tried to eat pretty good the week before I started but still had a few slip ups (waiting for the food to arrive), It didn't help that I was in Las Vegas for New Years week and ate out for a few days..

I think it is okay to eat something like a baconator every once in a while ..... once every couple of months maybe.... but remember that is how we all got to the point where we now need to watch what we eat. The key point is not to loose focus and eat like crap every meal or over do it..

Yesterday was my birthday.... you know what my splurge was.... I added 4 ounces of steak to my lunch salad....and I weighed in this morning and I was down another 1/2 pound! That was the best present!.

My goal is to count years I get to live not meals I missed, I was way to dam*ed fat and unactive. I have never felt better than this last month. I don't know why I didn't get my sh*t together and start Nutrisystem sooner..

These boards have been a big part of me sticking to the plan this month, reading how everyone else has overcome their obstacles reassured me that I can do it too..

My recommendation for anyone getting ready to start Nutrisystem is eat your favorite meal, (not your favorite lists of recipes) before you start and try to stick to the plan 100% for at least 2 weeks, one month if possible..

This plan works, the food is good, the portions are smaller but you will feel full because they are full of good nutrients and fiber..

Colorado Jef.

Start 310 lbs Jan 8.

Today 293 lbs.

Goal 225 lbs.

P.S. Buy some beeno or gas-x because the fiber will cause some surprises...

I have to admit, I did a week of "last" meals and started Nutrisystem with determination - but fear of whether it would work over the long haul. I can honestly say now that I really enjoy this lifestyle - and when I go off plan it's usually not far off and mostly with healthy food like nuts etc. When you get your food - commit completely to a minimum of 21 days of 100% on plan - NO EXCUSES. Read and follow the Mindset Makeover with your breakfast every morning - the MM covers 1 quarter - 13 weeks - if you stick for 21 days - you'll make it through that first quarter. Your body will adjust and like this new lifestyle MUCH MUCH better than the old one and you will enjoy the feeling of being thin - long before you reach your goal. I started out on maintenance because I knew that is the important part of this effort.

Congratulations on a great decision - and post even when it hurts. The combination of good advice, encouragement and a kick in the A$$ when you need it will help in the process. Always except where you are then do the right thing...

I am actually very anxious to get my food. One other thing... A week from Saturday is Valentines day. I told my wife we can't go out because I will be on the plan and I want to be strict on it. So instead I am going out this Saturday to a nice restaurant. What are most of you guys on the plan doing for your sweetheart?..

My wife and I are both on plan together, so I'll stick to flowers..

BTW - I understand your original post. I did the same before starting and have no regrets. Key is to stick with it when you really do start. If you do go off-plan, go right back on again. It really does work and for me, at least, was not nearly as draconian as I had feared. I rarely get actively hungry and I like the food and it's convenience..

Good luck!!.

Gordon..

I understand the Baconator too. In fact, go and eat 3 or 4. That way you will be so sick that you won't want another one ever. Kind of like the first time you drank too much tequila..

Welcome and good luck!..
