First of all Thinking of joining weight watchers or Nutrisystem.? Looking forward for any answer or 2. 2nd question I got is.. Okay, this sounds petty, even to me. In my second BBB, I got a 10lb Nutribear, otherwise, I would not have known about them. I should have gotten a 20lb in the third box, but did not. I called, they sent one, then another 20 lb.

By then, I was due a 30lb.

I called for my 30 and asked if I should return the extra 20. Got the 30, gave my extra 20 to my wife, who never received her 20 lb either..

I should have gotten my 40 lb bear in the last box. Of course, it was not there. I'll call again, specially since I'm going to be at the big five-oh any day now..

What's up with this program? Is it an active program? Do you have to call for each one? We've got a spot where my wife and I can each line our bears up, showing progress, but it's not a big deal. Really. I'm just anal enough to want Nutrisystem to get it right and for me to know what the current version of "right" is..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..

I think they are about a month behind. I started in January and after I got my Feb shipment I got a call on my machine all about Welcome to Nutrisystem and all this. Well, it was a little late..

I lost 12 lbs in the first month and in my shipment I got last week was my 10 lb. bear. So it's coming, they are just a little bit behind...

Gordon take a look at my page. I'm starting over. I now have another 10 pound bear to the right of the 100. (look at the pic's and just above my ticker) SOUNDS STUPID I KNOW, But I spend a lot of time on my computer and They're a constant reminder...

I got my 10 pound bear in my second auto shipment that came in on Monday, I had heard about them but most people said you had to call and call just to get them. I guess I was one of the lucky ones. I agree even though they are a bit silly for guys (at least what we admit to our friends) they are a good motivation IMO...

Quite often the folks at Nutrisystem need a reminder to send you the bears. Just drop CS an e-mail and they'll get it handled...

Steve,.

That is so impressive! Over One Hundred Pounds! Those 10 bears look great lined up there..

You century club guys are almost making me rethink my goal of 200. I'd love to have a 100 lb white one like yours, Steve. I'm not sure that 180 is a reasonble goal for me, but I'll see in another 4 months or so after I hit goal..

In the meantime, I'll simply call or email CS for my bears as needed..

Thanks,.

Gordon..

I only recieved a 10 pound bear by the time I had lost 40. Then in my BBB from yesterday, there was a 50 pounder..

So I didn't get any of the ones in between, but to be quite honest, my wife has enough of those damn stuffed animals all over the house and the last thing I need is more of them...

I received all my bears without having to call except for my 90 pounder. At that point I had a collection going, so I called and they sent it out no problem. Since then I've received, for no apparent reason, 2 more 20 pounders and an extra 60 pounder. I have no idea why. They're even on the order sheet, so it's not the monkeys in charge of actually packing the BBBs that are screwing up...

I've said it before and I'll say it again - If Nutrisystem's IT group were half as good as their program, it would be an awesome outfit. Their CS issues would be cut in half. Something like this should be automated and virtually foodproof, but it's not and I can deal with that. Otherwise, Nutrisystem Rocks!.

So far they've been on the ball on my bears. Since I finally started tracking my weight in my second month (didn't own a big "larbutt" boy scale before), I got my 10 lb bear yesterday (down 17 at the time they shipped it. Next months autoshipment I plan to earn my 20 and 30 lb bears!..

From the reports here, the execution of the Nutribears program sounds totally random. It goes w/out saying that you've got to keep your Nutrisystem weight log up to date, but that does not seem to be a factor here. Thank goodness it's only a trivial part of the program that is this screwed up!.

I'm going to ask CS for my 40 AND 50 today. Just "officially" crossed the big Five-Oh! Wahoo!.

Just a reminder that if you don't put your weight in on the Nutrisystem website, they will not know about the changes. So if you have a ticker, then there are two places to update your weight...

I hope all on this thread realize that too. I've been keeping both up -.

W8book and my home page here. Like I said, execution appears random despite keeping the Nutrisystem weight log up to date..

Gordon, Nutrisystem may be great for losing weight but I have to agree with you and say they could do a lot better on other things..

Bears, yep a screwed up system even if you update weekly. If you ask a moderator the answer you get is call customer support and they will take care of it..

Food, got something substituted, here is the answer, call customer support and they will take care of it..

How much do those 2 things cost them each and every month, all because of lack of organization. Extra postage to send bears and both extra postage and cost of food when they send substitute food that you do not want. Add in the time and money for the moderator to answer those questions, CS to take care of the call with paperwork and shipping department to handle another shipment..

With all that time and money wasted, are we sure Nutrisystem is not run by the government...

I got most of mine along the way. I had to call for the goal bear as I wasn't buying food anymore. I have them in my office as a reminder and some day (when she's old enough to understand what they mean and what an inspiration she was to me) I'm going to give them to my daughter. I just wish they had bears past 100 lbs as I would have 20 bears in total counting the goal bear...

I have special plans for my Nutribears. Once I have a complete set of 10 I'll be dipping them in casting slip ( a liquid form of clay) before tossing them into a 2380 degree Cone 10 Kiln. The bears inside the clay will be incinerated leaving nothing but a pile of ash inside a hollow ceramic shell shaped just like the bears. Once glazed it'll make a great wall piece and an excellent reminder of my journey. Its a little carnage, cleansing of the soul, and an act of creation..

My goal bear I'll likely keep on my desk as another reminder...

I've not heard anything, I just started over. Take the 10 pound bear and use a "Sharpie"..

Also see my signature block. If I ever get to 120 pounds I'll just use the 100 + 20 Pound bears. Works for me...

Dumb question: Are the bears automatic??? Is this something you have to sign up for? I post my weight on the homepage of the Nutrisystem website and on my "ticker" but I've never received a bear? Seems funny a bunch of grown men whining about stuffed animals!!!..

If you keep your weight updated on the nutrisystem main page it should be automatic. I got my 10 pound one without doing anything. You may want to give them a call...

Amen to that! Pretty pathetic and I'm the one who started this thread..

I honestly believe this program is supposed to be automatic, but in the hands of the IT gods it's execution is completely random. As many others, I've kept my Nutrisystem wt chart records up to date from day 1. Got my first 10 lb automatically. Since then I've been calling for each and ended up with an automatic 20 lb bear, 2 months late, that was a dup of a 20 I got by calling. All the rest I've had to call. So....

I do not believe there is anything you can do beyond keeping your home Nutrisystem page up to date, and that certainly is no indicator that you'll get one..

Perhaps the moderators are reading the men's room board and taking notes to keep the boys happy because my husband has received the Nutribears for every 10 lbs he has lost (38 thus far) and I have lost 21 lbs but never got a bear and we started on the same day. I'm sure I would have called if I cared more, but just something of note...

Hey Kenneth-.

You may want to start a new thread with this topic for all to see. Only whining guys that need their teddy bears are hanging here..

I don't have any good advice, other than to try to stick as close to plan as you can. For instance, get a supply of off the shelf low-cal single serving oatmeal packs for breakfast and some protein bars for lunches and try to eat minimally at the dinners with others. Take along a big bag of apples and oranges. I dunno. I think I'd have a problem in your situation too..

Good luck!.
