Got a question, hope someone can answer... Vegetarian Medifast Diet Phase 1 Recipes? Thanks in advance for any answer. 2nd question I got is.. I woke up this morning and did my first Week 1 weigh in. I lost 6.8 pounds in week one! I am very satisfied, happy, and proud. I dabbled with Medifast before, buying about a week's worth of food to try it, but I never made it to day seven without slipping up.

This time I stayed OP 100% for the whole week, and I plan to continue doing it. I am also reading The Beck Diet Solution book. Anyhow, this is what I learned in week one that helped me stay 100% OP this time on Medifast..

1. I ordered ALL my food for the whole month. Spending that money, seeing all that food in my pantry, and having a choice between many different Medifast items has helped motivate me. I found out I LOVE the Blueberry Oatmeal, Cream of Chicken soup, Cappicinno, and hot Chocolate. I like alot of the other foods too, like brownies, all the other oatmeals, and bars and pretzels..

2. I stayed OP 100%, weighing everything and keeping it simple. Last time, I was eating too many veggies, and while they were good, I think they kept me out of ketosis. Being in Ketosis really makes a difference. I track my carbs using the My Plan tool to log my meals and check my nutrition score..

3. I did not over exercise. Last time to try to lose quickly, I worked out like 1 and a half to two hours a day. This time I followed the recommended guidelines and when I was too tired I skipped workouts (2.) Instead of being wiped out on Medifast, I had more energy..

4. I read the discussion boards everyday. I don't post alot on them (this is my first time) but reading success stories, knowing others are working the program, reading tips and advice motivated me, and made me feel like I was a part of a group with a common goal. Thank you all you discussion board posters! You help out!.

5. I gave myself credit everytime I resisted a food that was not OP. I gave myself credit everytime I exercised. I told myself I did a great job everytime I did something that supported my weight loss goal..

6. I read my reasons for wanting to lose weight like 5 times a day..

7. I did not weigh myself everyday. I weighed myself three times in week one, enough to let me know I was making progress, but not too much to where I obsessed over it or if I lost a little less one day I was dissapointed..

Wow, I sound like a commercial for Medifast, but this time it really worked for me and it wasn't that hard. Thanks for giving me a chance to reflect on what worked and helped me this week. Next week is going to be a little different and maybe more challenging for me. My daily routine will be a little different, my job is going to be a little more stressful for week two, and I have many meetings lined up for week two that changes my routine a bit. I plan to stay OP by planning and writing down all my meals. Sticking to my established eating/exercise routine as much as I can.

Giving myself a reward at the end of week twoI need something rewarding to focus on to get through any tough patches, I've already set up an appointment to get my hair cut. And lastly, all through week two I am going to remind myself that no matter how stressful it gets, or even if I get upset about the outcomes of one of my meetingsgoing off my Medifast plan will not make it better, it will only make it worse because I will feel bad about it. Eating fatty foods does not make life better, it does not make it easier to cope with things, eating fatty foods just makes me fat. I need to always deal directly with the real issues, and never try to hide from them with food..

Thanks for lettng me reflect. I'm ready to tackle week 2!..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could help you..
