My first question is What are the food items availible in India for Medifast Diet!? Looking forward for any answer. My other question... I have been on for 2 weeks and 2 days. Some days are good. Most days I am very hungry, have periods of nausea, and no energy..

Week one I lost a whopping 9 pounds, week 2, only 1/2 pound..

I have been following to the tee..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can help you..

Keep guzzling that water! Make sure that you are measuring cooked weight food as well. I messed up on that initially, and all chicken breasts definitely do not weigh the same.

Split your lean and green. It will give you more "meal times" during the day, and not having one huge feast of a meal can help you adjust a bit better..

If you are continuing to have issues, I would call or post in Nutrional Support. They really are great, and it's free.

A lot of people post about a slow down either week 2 or 3 and then it picks back up again. I think the theory is that your body is a little shocked after the first week and all the water weight loss. Stick with it and be patient. The best advice I got (and can offer) is that at least it's moving down. There's no real way to force weight loss along (haven't we all tried? I certainly have.

), so let it just happen..

It will come, if you stick to the plan..

It would be helpful to have you post a typical day. Are you eating all three green portions? We've seen quite a few people who aren't eating the correct portions...

Hang in there! I'm new, too. I had a similar pattern on the weight loss. Week 1, I lost 10 lbs. Then week 2 was only 1 lb. I was pretty discouraged. This week, I lost 3.6 lbs! Your body has a lot to adjust to.

Hey Slitwin,.

I just restarted this week....you should be getting out of the hardest part soon....after 2 weeks it gets much easier. I have found that if I eat my lean and green meal at lunch I do much better. If I am starving after my other meals I will drink either hot tea with some splenda or a sugar free jello...also like the other girls said water is soooo important..

The other thing with the hunger and the low weight loss the 2nd week...just make sure that there are no sugars slipping in on your lean and green in the spices/marinades..

One more thing that may not be real popular on this site is to add a little extra protein (a low calorie one) at another part of day. I was on it 3 months before and I lost a little bit better when I had slightly more calories (added 100-300 calories a day varied on different days). I don't know if it was because of how much weight I had to lose. and one more even more unpopular thing to do here is to get ketostix (from the diabetic area of pharmacy) and you tinkle on them and they measure keytones. If they change to pink or purple color that means your body is burning fat (not all people will show up on the ketostix, and you have to do it first thing in the morning so the water doesn't water it down to much)....but if it changes color then you atleast know that extra sugars anen't in there and you are burning fat, and it can help get you thru the moments when the scale isn't moving as much. When it doesn't turn is when I usually exchange a low calorie protein for one of my medifast meals, and pick up my exercise (I know in the first 3 weeks you aren't supposed to exercise, but you could do a light walk or just a little something you haven't been doing to help until the week 3 mark..

The last time I did this (this past April thru June) I lost 40 pounds, and I did not exercise enough...just tennis a couple times a week....I vow to be different this go around. But once on a few weeks I felt so good. But the weight loss was varied....first week big, second week low, third week average.....I think your body keeps readjusting...sometimes it will stay the same a week and then drop a lot the next week. My biggest advice is to keep a journal (I use a calender with both month views and daily views. On the month view I put my daily weight (I know another big no-no..but I can't resist) in the top right corner and then write everything I eat/drink including sweeteners and also keep exercise logged and also supplements that I am taking....then at the end of the week/month you can see trends...and if there are certain foods in commen with low weight loss. I did this years ago when I lost weight on a low carb diet.

I used it for 3 weeks during a low carb diet and lost nothing.....stopped using it and weight plummeted again....reintroduced it and weight stopped again....so I know now to leave those two out of my diet when trying to lose. I am about to do the same with splenda....I think I may use too much....so I am going to try to switch it out for vegetable glycerin and see if weight drops more (that worked great for me as a sweetener after stevia debacle). But anyway, then you can see what seems to work and not work for you. But stay strong. I wish so much I didn't get off this summer...then jsut couldn't seem to get back on.....then I look at girls on the boards who were at same point I was at down an additional 60 pounds and I could just kick myself...they all look fantastic.

Hi Slitwin,.

You have gotten some good advice, but it would be helpful to see what you are eating every day. Are you drinking all your water, how about condiments and snacks. All of those things can have an effect without you realizing it..

Good luck and stick with this! It can be a miracle in your life..

Thank you all so much for the great advice! I couldn't figure out these message boards before, so JUST figured out how to see the replies right now LOL!.

Annis (Mia) sent me a message that told me about Carol, a Medifast health coach. she has helped me figure out what I was doing. 2 simple things!!! you guys all talk about the same things..

I didn't think it was a biggie to eat more veges with the meal to fill up. here they have carbs! and I was drinking vitamin zero waters, sf and 0 cal, who would think they have lots of carbs. she told me that feeling sick was most likely cause these carbs were keeping me on the brink of going into ketosis. after if stopped those 2 minor things, I immediately felt better!!!!.

And best of all! this week I lost 4 pounds and so I have lost 15 pounds and I feel great! I am sold!!!!!.

Thanks so m,uch for the advice and support! hope you keep writing even though I flaked on you till I figured these boards out! Sharon..
