Question I have... What is better, Medifast Gordonii plus or Medifast-maxplus? Hoping for any answer. Another question I got... I am so scared and excited and unsure that I don't even know what to say. I know that if I do this my family (sisters I have no other family) will not approve and I will be reluctant to ask for any help. I wonder....can I do this (the.

Surgery.

And the immediate recovery) alone?..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can answer it..

My answer would have been different a few months ago. Of course you can do this alone..

But really, now I would add: it is such a beautiful journey and the issue of silence/secrecy based on someone else's potential disapproval is not something I would want someone I cared for to have to carry..

In our own time, we tell people. Tell people when you want support and tell people who you know will support you. The rest can catch up with yer skinny butt down the line. :).

Congratulations on your approval...

Hi Nattee: Congratulations on your approval and your desire for a healthier future. I live alone, and I managed just fine in recovering mostly by myself. A friend took me to the Hospital and drove me home. I have two cats, and I didn't want to breath in dust from kitty litter until I was over the anesthesia, so I had the pet sitter come in everyday for about 10 days (including hosp. stay). I had cleaned the house and gone grocery shopping the day before.

Surgery.

, so I was pretty much set. I made a "nest" in a comfy chair/ottoman. I had a kitchen timer, beverage, TV remote and phone at hand. For the first three or four days, all I did was doze, sip when the timer went off (at five weeks, I'm still using it) and walk around the house every hour or so. It was okay. I didn't mind being alone because I was pretty tired.

All in all, if you plan ahead, you should be able to manage...

Congratulations on your insurace approval.....You are doing this for you.....and no one else..... explain that to your sisters, and ask them for their support whether they approve of your decision or not......

If they do not support you, look elsewhere...... you can do it!!!!!.

Congratulations again!!! liz..

Oh, I also wanted to say that although they may not approve, your sisters may still be supportive. Don't be reluctant to ask for the help you need. I can't imagine that they would refuse...

I did it alone... I just employed a driver to get me back and forth until I was OK'd to drive. You stock up on what you need ahead of time. Plan the time off. Without major complications, it can be done. However, you should have a line on a helper if need be somebody from church, or even a number of a locally-hired private nurse.

Be careful. Treat yourself well. It can be done. Best wishes!..

U can do it but definitely easier if you have someone to help...doesn't have to be a sister ...I have no family here at all...my sister in law came and stayed at hospital with me which waS huge comfort....she flew in and out the day I got out of.

Surgery.

.....and a friend stayed with me for a few days after.

Surgery.

....if not for them it would have been harder, however I could have done it.....even with the infection and rash I got......if you don't have a reclined....I would get one.... I bought one on Craigslist for 175 and sold it today for the same Amount.....it was awesome....becAuse o could stretch out my stomach....think it really helped....good luck!..
